Nardi Appliances — Avoid this company like the plague
DO NOT BUY Avoid this company like the plague!!!After several e-mails & phone calls to the company we purchased a left hinged retro fridge freezer for approx £600 & paid for our old fridge to be removed.we were promised the fridge within 2 weeks, however after several weeks & us constantly ringing we were told that the model we wanted would have to be ordered from Ireland so would take longer.a week or so later we suddenly receive a call saying that they had made a mistake & our fridge had been in the warehouse all along!! it was delivered with no receipt or warranty papers, when we tried to fix the handles on we realised it was a right handed model & would not fit in the intended space.We called Ken at nardi who we had been dealing with as all we initially wanted was some left hinged doors, only to be told that there is nothing they can do as the fridge had been used! it had only just been delivered.since, over the last 3 months the fridge has started to fall apart, we have a condensation problem so all our food is going off quickly & the fridge itself is very noisy & going mouldy & the worse part is this has been all through my pregnancy so i dare not take a chance with the food!! i have been down the route of consumer direct, letters to the company, solicitors only to be told that it would cost more to go to court then to buy another fridge freezer.Ken Griffin at nardi is ignoring us we have tried phone calls, letters everything just to be told the fridge has been used, yet we called immediately after it had been delivered & had no choice but to use this as my old one had been removed for scrap & it was summer time & i was pregnant.Still no receipt or warranty papers, the only proof we have is our bank statement.We have been completely ripped off, £600 for a faulty wrong model & a very rude cowboy of a company owner Ken. ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!! YOU MAY AS WELL THROW YOUR MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN.
