Disabled my Course Hero Tutor Account
On Nov. 23, 2023 i received on email from course hero saying i need to do ID verification check saying that course hero identified unusual activity on my tutor account that violates their Terms of Use. To ensure the integrity of their platform for students and other tutors, my account has been temporarily disabled. I follow the steps given in veryfying my identity then at the same date, Jude of course hero support team responded that my account was already re enabled. I was able to use it. Then the next day, Nov. 24, 2023 suddenly i can't access again my account. Then an email from course hero was sent saying i need to do ID verification check again. So i did the process again but this time there were no response from the support team.
Remove my uploaded documents
I have uploaded notes from my university which violates the copyright regulations. All the notes i got from my university requires consent from the owner since it are made for only university students. I have accidentally uploaded few notes from my university into course hero and i really need to remove before the university takes any action. Please assist to resolve this matter. Thank you!
Yearly charge
I wanted the monthly subscription and the charge me for a whole year. when I asked to be refunded for the year and just charge the monthly charge, I was told because I use the website they could not do the refund. Of course I use the website I thought I was getting a monthly charge that we could be canceled any time. I’ve use this platform for a very long time, and I am so disappointed that when I decided to get a monthly subscription to it, they screwed me over.

I was tutor on course hero by solving questions answers but one day on 27 october 2023 when i was going to open my accout it was unable to access. I also got mailed that its requir to verify that its me, they have given me link for verification but when i open link it show expired. I have also mailed them but they are not responding. My helpful rate is approximately 93 percentage. There are also more than 200 dollars. Please help as soon as possible.

Now you will receive a reply that contact on tutor-support@coursehero.com . We can only help you there . But this is just fool you and other complainants. They don't help and on Twitter I was asked to contact on 24/7 available helpline +[protected] and when I contacted and spoke to Ms Anna she just denied to help me as soon she heard tutor account disabled complaint and said we just help students inquiries.
Now I understand why this company didn't grow like other companies . Extremely shameful.
Same happened with me on Nov 3 and they provided me expired me link too and then after many complaints they gave me new persona link on Nov 7 so I completed re-verification within 12 minutes and when I checked later that link got expired too within half an hour only while stating that this link is valid for 48 hours . Fortunately, I completed the process then and there . But still on Nov 8 they permanently disabled my account saying that we will not give any additional information. This is final decision. Now they are not responding on tutor-support@coursehero.com and on helpline +[protected] since then . I solved 148 questions and earned around $ 295 but could not withdraw single dollar . I met 100+ people on YouTube and Instagram and Twitter who got scammed like me only . They charge students to ask questions and appoint us to solve them and disable our accounts to keep money with themselves and appoint new tutors . Kindly file a complaint legally as well on job/employment scam and on Federal Trade commission and BBB and aware people on social media and make sure you get your hard earned money . I am also waiting for Complaints Board reply .
No response from tutor support team even after 20 days
I complained regarding my account getting permanently disabled even after re-verification done on persona link given by Ms EMILY from Tutor support team but Mr Jess disabled my account without any reason and wrote that they will not state the reason of my account getting disabled. I had $295 pending for withdrawal after solving 148 questions . This is clearly cheating .
Now after Nov 7th they are not responding to my emails on tutor-support@coursehero.com and when contacted on +18886349397 and spoke to Ms ANNA she informed that we are not tutor support team and can't help with it .
I have my most depressing and worst experience of working on this platform.
Complaints Board please into the matter and help me to get my $295. Kindly aware people to not fall for such scam .

Today I've received something on your site. The student marked my submitted answer as UNHELPFUL but he/she is asking for CLARIFICATION.And the thing is the question he is asking for CLARIFICATION is not even in the original question!
Should I answer it or not since it dragged my ratings down?! Should I answer the clarifications, will the Inconsiderate and Notorious Scoring of CourseHero restore my rating from 93% to 96%?

This happened on question_id=[protected] on 11/11/2023 at roughly 4-5 hours ago.
This is the first thing that happened to me and I demand that it should not happen again to us tutors.
The student posted an original consisting of 3 questions in Geology. I answered all three in detail. No other questions asked. There was also no added comment from the student. There were only three questions that I needed to answer, the rest were instructions.
Later on, I found the answered question I'd submitted as "Unhelpful" because he said that I didn't answer the "other" questions which were not in the original. Turned out he just added 3 additional questions later on after I submitted it.
He used the comment section of that original question post to add the postscript questions. So it will appear that I didn't answer the whole set of questions.
Now he asked for Clarifications but marked me as "Unhelpful" for what? He wanted me to answer the newly added questions which were not in the original? I think this student is using the system to gain.
My rating goes down from 96% to 93% because of Course Hero's notorious and inconsiderate scoring system all because of that student.
Students should refrain from using the comment section of the original questions to add postscripts questions when the answer is already submitted. Don't mark the tutor as "Unhelpful" just because they "overlooked" the questions which was added later on in the comment section.

I am Ashrafun Nisa who works as tutor on course hero. I received an email on Nov 3rd that my account is temporarily disabled due to unusual activity which I am completely unaware of & was asked to re-verify my account on given persona link which was already expired on Nov 3rd . I got a new persona link after complaining for 5 days on Nov 7th & I successfully completed the verification process on Nov 7th at 5 am IST .

I was being appointed as course hero tutor on 16th October 2023 . Tutors can't withdraw amount before 2 weeks or less than 20 $ .
Firstly , my amount was going to be available for withdrawal from Nov 4th and they disabled it before that . I knew their intention was not right.
On Nov 3rd at 5am IST , I received an email regarding my account getting temporarily disabled for some unusual activity ( which I am completely unaware of) and I was asked to submit my details on persona link ( OTP on registered mobile number and my National ID which I submitted during account application initially on 14 th Oct ) within 48 hours. The given persona link for re-verification was already expired on the Nov 3 itself when I checked their email on Nov 3rd at 11 am IST so that I couldn't complete the process . So , I complained them regarding expiry of the link that I have only 42 hours left to complete the process. I did 20+ emails within 4 days . But I got no response for 4 days . I have attached screenshots of the same . Then I complained on Complaints board and Ms Emily from Tutor support team replied me and lied that I have used VPN during document re-verification process .
Firstly , I know English and it was written clearly don't use VPN so why would I use that . Secondly the link is expired so I cant even open the link . Using VPN is not even in picture.
She provided me a Second persona link for verification on Nov 7th at 4:54 am IST and within 12 minutes I completed the verification process of OTP and National ID at 5:06 am IST . I have screenshot for the same .
I 1000% certain that I have not voilated any rules of the platform and the course hero team has not been transparent and did this so that I cannot withdraw my amount .
I have dedicated my 11-12 hours daily on this platform and didn't receive a single cent .
My pending balance was 253$ and available for withdrawal was 11.5 $ (minimum balance required is 20$ ) and 15 questions were yet to be rated which was around 30 $ so total was around 294.5 dollars.
I had submitted correct details and I have proof of the same and I had also submitted within time frame of the second link which Ms Emily from Tutor Support provided . That second link was also not working when I check after half an hour only while stating it is valid for 1 day . This proves that they tried to scam people. Fortunately, I completed it then and there.
Still Mr Jess emailed me that they permanently disabled my account for no valid reason on the very next day stating either you didn't submit the right details or didn't submit on time . Both the reasons are wrong . And now , they are responding me within 12 hours only that their decision is final and can't share additional information . This is so unethical on their part .
Then I called on +[protected] and was informed that this is just customer support and not tutor support. And there is no number for tutor support.
I have also got to know about 100+ people through social media who faced the same issue and being robbed by this company .They appoint new tutors and make them work and then disabled their accounts before payment and appoint new tutors again . They charge students to ask questions but they don't pay tutors to solve it . I request to all please address this issue and make people aware about such scam.
Please take necessary action and the company should re-enable my account and pay me my hard earned 295 $ for 148 questions that I solved for students who paid this company but the company took our money .

I am feeling so down and frustrated after putting a lot of effort to provide quality answers for students, even sharing my precious notes for them to understand better the topics only to be thrown away just like that. I am aware that I answer a question that has little data, that's why I told the student to provide me further data so I can help answer the question because I have expertise in the topic that the student is trying to ask. However the Course Hero team branded my answer as fake and spam. And just like that they sent me an email that I can no longer answer questions but I can withdraw my remaining earnings. I have 95% overall helpful rates with over 90 questions answered. I am literally crying typing this complaint. It's not all about money I feel like I'm not good enough as a tutor by the way they treat me after all I had done for the students.
I am hoping that they give me a chance and they review all my contributions to their platform.

My course hero account was blocked, but there was a message that I can withdraw my earnings after it reaches $20 but when I tried to withdraw, I am unable to do so because it says that my account cannot be verified using sms. With a 92% helpful rate, I work as a Chemistry tutor on this platform. I have been unable to access my account since yesterday because it says that either my email address or password were entered incorrectly.
I tried to get in touch with their team, but no one responded. Instead, they sent me an email with an expired link for the verification process, so I tried using that link again, but to no avail. I attempted to reach out for the same but received no response.
I want to add that without making a single error, I always work with the utmost integrity.

Hi, I uploaded documents this year, 2021, without much of a thought and most documents I have uploaded haven't been proof read in which I just clicked and clicked without checking each document. Subscription charge without seeking my permission
Course Hero charged me one year subscription fee (S$170), without seeking my permission.
Neither they sent me any email/ message or call before the charge.
They didn't send me email, even after the charge. I came to know about the charge via my Credit Card bill. (Lucky that I checked the credit card bill this time).
These are unethical business practices.
Desired outcome: Refund of S$170 which were charged without my permission for a subscription from 17-Oct-2023 to 17-Oct-2024.

Hello I am sonia and about 15 days before I took 165$ subscription for course hero, but now it showing for unlocking documents I will have to pay more money why is it? If they cannot provide best services to me please return my money. I do not want anything. We are student and it is very hard for us to earn money it is not for wasting.
