As someone who has been a part of the Course Hero community, I feel compelled to share my experience. Course Hero's business practices are predatory, taking advantage of students seeking academic help. The minimal preview access and lack of refund policy make it difficult to assess the usefulness of their documents. They capitalize on quick subscriptions without delivering substantial value. My interactions with Course Hero left me feeling disgusted and exploited. I urge you to be cautious and explore alternative study resources.

I love the UX and design of the website. It definitely feels a lot more trust worthy than others. I recently purchased the 3 month subscription and the only thing is that they have a lot of low quality documents, but they also have SO many Universities which is great for my friends are I that live in different states. I've already found a few unlocks that I used.

Course Hero really helped me succeed with finishing my Master's degree. They had really helpful study guides and I frequently used the ask a question feature since most of my classes were online and my professors weren't always available in the evening. I was working full time and had a baby so the extra help course hero gave me to complete my assignments more timely was vital to my success!

The study guides helped me through my classes. As a student athlete, I had a tutor to help me too but I found this site extremely helpful because of their literature reviews. It helped me with 2 books we had to read in class. The study guides were legit too. The student uploaded material sometimes wasn't helpful because people upload random stuff but if you look for the right content, so helpful.

I love this product so much. It has literally saved my first semester at university. I was a bit skeptical about paying the annual fee since I am a broke college student but I feel like it has already paid off. I got super sick at the end of September and couldn't attend classes for 2 weeks so I fell behind. Thankfully I was able to find notes and documents related to my classes and used them to study.

I used course hero as a supplement to my learning because Lord knows I would not have done well without the additional help. I am one of those people who does not learn by hearing the professor teach it once. This app had pretty helpful study guides that I used - especially the literature reviews and they even had videos. It was worth it. At least I didn't have to stay back an additional year. Thank goodness!

I am very pleased with CourseHero's services and customer support team. I pre-emptively signed up for course hero and although will be using it in the future was concerned about having purchased my subscription too early. I called and spoke to someone live with no wait time, and was given a full refund despite it being my mistake. Also having had a sneak peak inside of what I will be using down the line, I am pleased with the information they offer that pertains to the classes I am enrolled in. This kindness will not be forgotten!

I was initially a bit sceptical but I always give any subscription based product a one month trial. In the case of Course Hero it really helped me to level up on my Math classes. I usually struggle in math and algebra so when I got into college I was having a hard time with the basic courses. A sophomore recommended it to me and I went through the algebra study guides and they help me to get an A in my class. I got the chance to ask questions to tutors online that I couldn't ask to my professor, since we're a big class and he doesn't have the time answer everybody's question.

Course hero has been one of the companies that help students to get their assignments done on time by using tutors to assist students in the above mentioned. But recently, they have been involved in scamming and taking the hard earned money from tutors on the due date of withdrawal by closing their account and claiming for verification details sending automated emails that the reason for the closure is due to community security reasons. Recently, i had my account closed, sent the documents but so far, no response on the verification process. The account had done over $850. Would appreciate a feedback ASAP... Thank you.

I just started working here and so far I have NO complaints. I haven't been expected to help a student cheat, as a matter of fact, I routinely encourage them to do their own work. We'll see how it goes when it is time for me to get paid, but so far I've made about 15 dollars an hour, considering what I've made in the time I've spent working. Like I said, we'll see if they pay me what I've made so far when the time comes. If they do then honestly this is one of the best side jobs I've ever had.

This is a good resource to have to assist with checking work and reviewing solutions. Be careful when you purchase, you only have so many unlocks and if you are not aware or paying attention you can use them up quickly. Also, the assignments provided are from students so some of the information was either off or completely wrong. You can looked at a partially blurred vision before you unlock to try to help make a decision if the paper is worth using one of your unlocks. I did have a somewhat bad experience but Maria worked with me and we came up with a fair compromise and I am thankful to her for that. Bottom line, know how many unlocks you have and try to use them wisely. -***.

I , Ashrafun Nisa, worked for 17 days about 12 hours a day and earned $295 for solving 148 chemistry questions . I received helpful ratings from student. But on withdrawal, they disabled my account even after re-verification with 12 minutes(48 hours were given to do so) and wrote no payment will be given . This is how they work , they charge students to post questions but didn't pay that money to tutors for solving them and keep the account and money with themselves and then appoint new tutors . When you call on +[protected] , they say this is not tutor support. Just contact on [protected]@coursehero.com where they didn't even reply to your 100s of emails after unethically disabling your account .

I request to all tutors to file complain on Federal Trade commission against fraud in job \ employment section . Make students aware to not post questions there and tutors to not work on this scam platform . Make sure you get your money back . Extremely shameful . I am also preparing to file a case by visiting their office . We work to support our parents and financial needs and invest so many hours but this is so shameful and unethical .

I am puzzled because they cited sections 2 and 3 as violations, which I believe I did not commit. My only mistake was entering an incorrect number during the withdrawal process. As a tutor, I recently had an experience with Course Hero that left me feeling frustrated and undervalued. To make matters worse, the moderator then removed my answer without consulting a subject specialist to verify its quality. I was left feeling frustrated and disrespected, wondering if the moderator even had a basic understanding of the subject matter I was teaching.

After reading other reviews and comments about Course Hero, I realized that my experience was not unique. Many tutors have had similar experiences, with Course Hero removing or banning them based on unhelpful ratings from students. Meanwhile, students who don't rate tutors after accepting their answers face no consequences.

I recently signed up for the basic plan at Course Hero to help me study for my course. I was excited to use their study guides, but unfortunately, I found that they were not very helpful. They just wanted to get free unlocks, so they posted whatever they could without checking the accuracy of their answers.

You see, the basic plan only allows you to have 30 unlocks for the entire month. That means each unlock costs a dollar, and you don't even know what's in the documents because they're blurred out. So, you end up spending a dollar just to find out that 99% of the questions on the sheet don't have an answer. And even if there is an answer, there's no explanation for it. As someone who has been homeschooled, done online college, and is now doing another online degree, I can tell you that Chegg or Brainly are much better options than Course Hero.

To make matters worse, I didn't even know that the membership only allowed 30 unlocks. Once I used them all on empty documents, I contacted Course Hero to ask why there was a limit. Their response was very rude, and they basically said that they wouldn't give me a refund because I had used all my unlocks. I couldn't believe it! I had used my unlocks on empty documents with no answers or explanations, and they still wouldn't give me a refund.

In conclusion, unless you can hack their website and get the documents for free, I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this stupid website. The study guides are filled with mistakes, and the answers are often missing. Plus, the customer service is terrible. Save yourself the trouble and use Chegg or Brainly instead.

I gotta say, I'm not a fan of Course Hero. Like seriously, I wish I could give them a rating lower than one. This website is a total waste of time and money. First of all, they charge $25 a month or over $100 a year for their membership. And let's be real, most of their users are students who are already broke as it is. And what do they get in exchange for their hard-earned cash? Content that can be found anywhere on the web for cheap or even for free. It's a total rip-off.

Now, if you can't afford their membership fee, they offer an option where you can upload 10 academic documents in exchange for 5 document unlocks. But let me tell you, it's a long and tedious process. You have to wait for your documents to be approved, and even after you upload the required amount, they still ask for more. It's like they're never satisfied. And if you want to delete any of the documents you uploaded, you can't do it on your own. You have to contact their support team and explain why you want it taken down. And even then, they get to decide whether or not they'll remove it. It's ridiculous.

I was so fed up with this website that I decided to deactivate my account. But guess what? They won't remove my documents even after I deactivate. And to make matters worse, the website won't even let me deactivate! Every time I click on the deactivate button, it takes me to a 'page not found' window. It's like they're holding my account hostage or something. I contacted their support team, but they haven't done anything to fix the issue. It's like they don't care about their users at all.

Overall, I would not recommend Course Hero to anyone. It's a complete waste of time and money. There are plenty of other websites out there that offer the same content for free or at a much lower cost. Don't fall for their scam.

Last April 17, I applied as a tutor and completed the first part of the application. Then comes the second part which is the identity verification using a third-party website, Persona. The Persona link was provided in an email sent by the Course Hero. The email says I can click the link and proceed to the identity verification within the next 48 hours. Fifteen hours later after my receipt of the email for the second part of the application, I clicked the Persona link but it says the link has already expired, only to find out that said link was only valid for 24 hours contradicting the 48-hour instruction by the Course Hero. How misleading it was.

In this season of giving, please give me a favor.

I am begging you with all my heart. Please help me withdraw my earnings in my account. I have problem on my phone verification until now the company said. But they have not taken action instead they sent an email to me saying I have violations which for me is impartial since I know I have not.

I have sleepness nights and starved days just to cater my tutees' needs, and I know I deserve the remuneration I earned from them. But I know, you are a just and a fair team who truly supports your tutors, I believe. Let me be one of them.

I have uploaded notes from my university which has been asked to remove it immediately by the lecturer. All the notes i got from my university which actually i need to ask from consent from the owner since it are made for only university students. I have accidentally uploaded few notes from my university into course hero and now i really need to remove before there are action from the top level management of the university. I have asked course hero to remove but there are still no action has been taken yet. I really need to remove all of the documents from my account as soon as possible.

I used to login into my course hero account through my mobile and laptop through college wifi . how can you decide that i gave my account to another person which is a violation of rules.By showing this as an unusual activity, how can you block my account.

I got only one violation till now that is also for an incomplete question posted by a student.

My helpful rate is also not too low. then how my account is revoked. If any mistakes or violations I have made unknowingly I will rectify my mistakes.please help me with this.

Now why account is terminated from prohibition and I am also have helpful rate of 33.33%.Before I got only message that my account is in prohibition now I see that I am not able to answer any more further questions on course hero.Without any proper reason why account is revoked,For the poor answer you could have given me a warning, but I got a violation for the poor answer.

My account was temporarily disabled and I received email from course hero for identity verification and I did the identity verification and mailed them that I have done my verification. But till now I have not received any response from the tutor support. Now, I can't withdraw my balance amount. Atleast tell me that my account either re-enabled or permanently closed.

I earned 208 dollars using course hero. They said due to some violations, they are revoking my account. But they didn't pay my earnings. This is the second time they doing this to me. I have been a tutor in the website Course Hero for more than 2 1/2 years. Recently I was dispelled from the service just because I was in a foreign visit. The authorities of this platform misunderstood that I have given my account for someone else as I opened my account during my foreign visit. I have entered my PayPal email correctly, but during the withdrawal process, I received an error indicating that my PayPal email is incorrect due to an invalid extension, specifically "gmil" instead of "gmail." This issue has prevented me from withdrawing any funds for the hard work I've done. What's perplexing is that when I attempt to purchase a subscription on Course Hero, it correctly directs to my PayPal account with the proper extension, "gmail." How is this inconsistency possible? This appears to be a clear case of fraud and cheating. If Course Hero is a legitimate platform, why doesn't it allow me to update my PayPal email address?

Today I have received an email telling me that my tutor account has been temporarily disabled because, according to them, they have identified unusual activity on your Course Hero tutor account that violates our terms of use. They've asked me to submit 3 items to re-verify my account within the next 48 hours. I have send all items today afternoon and at 11 pm norch fronm tutor support team sent mail that your account is permanently disabled. But I have already send all items

Yesterday, Course Hero stated they were unable to send payments, or the payment was reversed due to an issue with my PayPal account. I contacted PayPal Support, and they confirmed that my PayPal account has no restrictions or limitations in sending and receiving payments; my account is completely verified. Now, as I attempt to withdraw my earnings again, Course Hero is still sending the same message saying that my PayPal account has an issue. But a when I messaged PayPal again, they said that my account has no restrictions and completely verified.

Few days ago I recieved link through mail to verify my account but the link was not working then I contacted tutor support and got new link and now I have successfully verified my id but my account hasn't benn restored yet. Please help me out and resolve this issue as soon as possible.
