Purchased used truck from Barreth Ford in Union Mo. Truck bought as Q-Certified with a Q-Ultimate warranty.2 Years or 100000 miles.Broke down at 97000 miles.Egr valve failed from carbon buildup.Valve not covered by warranty.Paid $600 for repair and towing. Fast forward to 100010 miles.Thats right ten miles over the warranty.Another breakdown.Same problem egr valve failure. My town dealer [sam scism ford] determined this valve failure was being caused by excessive carbon buildup in the intake manifold.Occuring over a period of 30 to 50000 miles. When this second failure occurred I was towing a large camper thru the ozark mountains. It was late night and raining with very poor visibillity from dense fog.I nursed the truck along for better than twenty miles before finding a safe place to pull off the narrow, shoulderless, curvy, hilly road I was traveling. In doing so the truck turned over 100000 miles. When I finally got off the road I had gone ten, literly ten miles over 100000 miles! THEY REFUSE TO MAKE THE REPAIRS! Mainly because I didnt have the truck towed to Barreth Ford where I bought it for repair. Secondly the ten miles! Funny thing is my warranty specifically states nationwide coverage. Its all bs in my opinion and this company along with Barreth Ford are nothing more than ripoffs.Cost me 1348 dollars for replacement of the intake manifold which is suppossed to be a covered part under the scam warranty.
