Am avut abonament pe 1 luna, acum primesc mailuri că am de plata 355 lei abonament restant.

Am trimis email șI le am solicitat să îmi trimită un link personalizat pentru plată prin PayPal (este o modalitate oferita chiar de ei) deoarece nu pot face plata in contul unei bănci din Germania.

Nu am primit răspuns la această solicitare si amenință cu penalitățI dacă nu plătesc până în data de 08.12.2023. Eu am solicitat acel link din data de 02.12.2023.

Serviciul cliențI șI collection trimit răspunsuri automate, in sensul că nu îțI răspund la subiect.

Concluzia, eu vreau sa plătesc dar nu pot lua legătura cu această companie. Probabil voi fi pusă în situația unei plângeri către instituțiile competente.

I want my money back and the 14 day cooling off period honoured. I have not used the service but I have looked for messages from customer services, it took 2 days for a reply. From the screen shot I just took, the service is rubbish, matches who live miles away and who are far older than I said I was interested in. 14 days cooling off period means what it says, I have not viewed peoples profiles or engaged in any messaging, so I want a full refund of £119.97

Academic Singles make it deliberately difficult if not impossible to extract membership from their services. Consequently, they extort funds from user personal and financial accounts AFTER the user / customer has indicated or attempted to cancel the account. The challenges in attempting to withdraw from their service are such, that we have identified over 500 complaints and reviews online over the course of [protected], and prior not included, documenting this issue. This complain thread alone - of which only 3 out of 18 complaints have been addressed — flags the issue further. I have been defrauded by you with a charge of 39,60 Euros in my bank account for a service which I have no contracted or even seen on your web page when I subscribed your services only for a month for an amount of 9,90 euros. Definetely, this is a rip off on your side and now I have to spend time and money to take legal action against this fraudulent abusive action when I receive no contract, neither signed or seen any information on you page about the automatic renewal of my subscription to your very deficient web page when my subscriptionwas only for a month.

Similar complaint to previous ones. Registered for free monthly trial of Academic Singles on 18 September 2022. Cancelled my subscription on 30 September 2022 - just 12 days later (form attached). AS continues to demand payment, now escalated to an amount of Euro 230. This is unacceptable. Refer to the metadata, when subscriptions are cancelled by the user / member, the account is deleted and there will be no activity on that account.

I took out a one month membership with Academic Singles. I then cancelled my membership the following month but they continued to request payment. After many e mails and texts they forwarded my personal details to a debt collection agency. This agency have sent threatening texts and letters. I have e mailed and sent texts explaining that my mebership was cancelled. This dating agency have now forwarded my details to a law firm in Germany. They are now sending proceedings against me. The initial membership which they claim is owed was 39.99 euros. They are now requesting a payment of 318.80. I wish to advise anyone not to use this dating app as it is impossible to cancel your membership and they continue to request payment fraudulently.

Biggest scam ever

Firstly, you sign up for a month paying R396 and they give you no option to cancel, keep saying the option will be available in a few days, and 4 weeks later it’s not there.

Secondly, out of no where an amount 3 times the monthly subscription comes out of you account the following month, a whooping R999, while you are still waiting for a Cancelation option to appear, I have screenshots of this. With no explanation of what the actual subscription is for. 1 month, 2 moths, 3 months. So all in all in 32 days am R1397 out of pocket.

Thirdly, there are no academic singles, it’s dull of fake losers, I’d vouche for Elite Singles any day. I came across security guards, drivers, and a lot of rubbish.

DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE and they still won’t cancel it, to continue taking money from you, they require complicated Cancelation process, 32 days later, I’m waiting for the option to appear on the settings.

The only way to stop AS from charging you is to take legal action. This is fraud on the level I haven’t seen before. They threatened me with debt collectors. This is not a dating site – this is a total fraud! If you want a solid dating site, I can recommend AdultsFlirt.club - I met my girlfriend there six month ago. This site and some other European dating sites still seem to work honestly. But please don’t get engaged with AcademicSingles! Needless to say, they have zero genuine profiles, just some fakes to attract new users. As soon as you give them your bank details you are in trouble. If you haven’t get involved with them yet the best thing you can do is to avoid it like plague!

I have been a member of academic singles for just over one month. A relative has managed to close my account without my permission during the previous 7 days. I wish to have my account reopened. My reference regarding this issue with academic singles is:TICKET#[protected]

However, they say that I may also have another email address associated with my account. I tried reinstating using [protected]@gmail.com

but I was not able to send the message.

I'm an academic and there were none on the site! Although I was specific about the city and state from where I wanted my contacts, I was contacted by men from different states who were construction workers, etc. Not one academic. Noth only is the site a total scam but even their name is a scam.

I also sent the site an email, but they never replied.

It is truly a scam website.

Someone is using my pictures on the academic singles dating scout And pretends to be me. It's embarrassing me and it's gonna get me into trouble with my family and my husband. I'd like to have the profile removed. I've attached screenshots of the profile as someone sent it to me

I tried to cancel the very first day I registered as I was fooled, into paying roughly 191pounds.I thought I was paying roughly 6.93 pounds monthly.I had read their terms of conditions so I knew I was entitled to a refund once I cancelled.After several emails, they stated that they basically doing me a favour by cancelling the renewal membership but the existing membership they will not cancel.They stated that I have read and write messages which I emphatically denied.These people should be shutdown as they are taking advantage of people in these lonely covid times.The name academic singles is a disgusting ruise to scam people of their money.I would like my refund of 191 pounds as I became a member on the 4/9/20 and 14 days has not passed before I requested to be cancelled and my refund back.

These people are probably scammers. I created a subscription just to try it out and after a few days I've tried to cancel it. I couldn't do it from their site. Then I tried writing them an email using the same email address that I used on the site itself. They said I would need to send them a scanned document by fax or email. They didn't actually provide the document I was supposed to send. In the end I just canceled my credit card.

half a year ago and I'm still happy with it. I met many beautiful ladies, some of them are considerably younger than me ( they have more positive attitude towards age difference in Eastern Europe). I'm going to go visit them in summer. I've been talking on phone regularly with two ladies. It's a huge progress comparing to AcademicSingles, where most profiles are totally fake and you get no real contacts.

The site is running a scam. I signed up for an agreed upon period but they automatically signed me up for a further 1 month upon which the charges increase by 500%. I realized it is a scam timeously and reported to my bank before they could swindle me of ZAR999 now they are threatening legal action and Debt Collectors. It is a 419 scam:
1. Hidden fees and fraudulent charges.
2. False advertising no academics to speak of
3. Impossible to unsubscribe they ask you to fax or post a letter yet you signed up online.
4. They will continue to take your money without your consent as long as your credit card is active

I wonder why the site has not yet been shut down after hundreds of complaints on different platforms about fraudulent activities.

Who do I contact please
This site is full of fake profiles, misleading.
I signed up for 1 month membership and after that month they (academicsingles.com) renewed my membership for 3 months with my authorization
took $299.70 from my bank account, this hapened twice to me.
I have contacted Academic Singles
They emailed me two options write and post to their address which looks fake or fax them a signed termination letter, why a signed letter? They have no signed documents from me!

I was under the impression it was a free trial and I did not give permission for you to take £191 from my account I haven't even used the service I now have issues with my bank for the amount taken I need you to refund and cancel whatever membership you think I agreed to .i have no interest in this site and I am very unhappy that you have gone and taken money and I have been trying to get in touch for days now

The service does not provide dating for qualified singles. They have no links on the website that allow you to cancel and indicated that if you want to cancel the automatic renewal you have to fax a request. This company does not offer the service promised and then tries to steal from you by making it impossible to end the automatic renewal on the subscription.
