My company purchased a Point of Sale and Boat Marina management software suite from Scribble Software almost 3 years ago. We were forced to buy a credit card processing software called Icverify in order to process credit cards through Scribble's POS software called Pure retail. Scribble told us icverify was our only option if we wanted to keep our current cc processor who provided us very favorable transaction rates so we paid the extra expense to get icverify Well 3 years later after we spent approximately $90 a month in technical support with scribble and have no outstanding invoices with them, we are were told by our processor that we had to upgrade our credit card software for icverify to meet the new credit card standards of pci compliance. So we paid the additional money to upgrade our icverify software that scribble told us initailly that we had to have to run credit cards thru their software. Upon upgrading our credit card software which we were required to do by our cc processor, we can no longer use icverify with scribble's POS software.

We were alerted to this fact AFTER we lost a day's transactions and only AFTER we contacted scribble were we told thay had no plans to make their software compliant with icverify. We were also told by scribble that we had to use their processor xcharge if we still wanted to continue to use their POS software that we just spent $20, 000 for only a few months ago. I feel that it is wrong and a breach of contract/service by not informing us of this decision to not be compatible with icverify so that we can use our cc processor of choice instead of being forced to use their processor. I beleive its an unfair business practice to be forced to use a credit card processor of the software vendor's choice just so I can use their software and support I have already paid for and already lost money because we were not informws if the incompatabily issue with icverify. When I contacted Scribble's support team and waqs told they did not support the new version of icverify, I reverted back to the old version to try to recapture the lost credit card sales, they informed me they were to usy to help me retrieve the lost cc transactions and failed to inform of the incompatability prio !
