KM Electronics, LLC — Open box item sold as &new&
I ordered a blue tooth headset from KM Electronics (Pewaukee, WI) through ebay. The item was listed as "New, in retail box". Ebay specifies a "new" item as: "New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable)." The item I received was an open box item. The two clear, round stickers on the outside of the box were gone, and two additional stickers inside the box that seal the blue tooth unit itself were peeled back. I wrote to KM Electronics and asked why I had received an open box item instead of a new item. They claimed that the stickers (four of them, two outside the box, and two inside the box) must have "fallen off or been peeled back during shipping". Further emails got extremely rude responses. I asked KM Electronics to either replace the unit I bought with the new, UNOPENED item they advertised, or refund my money. They refused to do either. If you're considering purchasing a "new" item from KM Electronics, buyer beware.
