I got the same phone call as alot of others have stating I already had a magazine service with them and they were going to give me a break and shorten my payment time along with doubling my payments to 20 months. I was out of town and could not check so I said ok. I then got back home and found out they were not the people I was getting magazines from and I logged into their website and clicked on their customer service button and sent a nasty email and threatened to take them to court in order to cancel the order. I got a email within an hour stating they had canceled everything and that I am on their do not call list.
Here is their reply:
Dear Ms. Carr,
This is in response to the email that was sent to our customer service department. I do apologize that you misinformed but we are not affiliate with any other company. I will go ahead and cancel your service here as well as put you on the internal do not call list. Please keep in mind this will stop our company from calling you, but it will not stop other companies. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact our customer service department at toll free [protected] hours of operations Monday threw Thursday 8:00am-9:00pm and Friday & Saturday 9:00am – 2:00pm EST.
I then sent a reply back and stated that what they did was not professional and I reported them to the BBB.
You do have recourse and stand up for yourself. They will not risk a court case and I would have done so if needed.
