I had a contractor install these windows about 16-18 years ago (it was a 2 1/2 yr remodel project); within 2-3 years most of the windows that slide open became fogged up between the panes. It took months for Ply Gem to send replacements & then the frames did not fit the existing windows, consequently the windows would not shut properly or lock. Now all of the 25 windows in my house have completely fogged up and become grossly moldy. For the last 3 years we have been trying to work with Ply Gem however they can't seem to keep an employee for more than a few months so we are constantly having to start over with the complaint. We finally took pictures of all 25 windows, put the photos on CD's, hand wrote an explanation of each and every window and sent it to them in March of 2015. At that time we ask them not to send the windows immediately because we were having to go to Phoenix AZ for 3 surgeries and no one would be here to accept the windows or store them. When we called Ply Gem back 2 weeks ago we got another employee, Monica Frazier at extension #373385, who claims to know nothing about the situation! She won't call us back, hangs up in our ear, and acts like we are nothing but a bother to her. I am sick and tired of dealing with this Company, as well as her, and want to talk to the plant manager--which seems to be an impossibility. We don't know if the windows are in production, if they are already made, or if she is just ignoring us. On the other hand, I have 7 windows of the same type of construction from Lowes in my house; that Company is wonderful to deal with. They drive a 100 miles over to Jackson WY and install the windows (!). Hopefully this complaint will get the attention of a plant manager in Toledo and we can finally get this huge window fiasco resolved. I have a contractor waiting to start tearing out the old windows and install the new ones from Ply Gem; this project needs to be finished ASAP so he can get on with his other jobs and before winter hits. Thank You, Carolyn Hines
