Alivelihood EntrepinoyIs it a scam?

I would just like to know if this company is legal..It is a networking but the process is you have to recruit 5 persons inorder for you to get a loan amounting to P5, 000.which you are not obliged to pay. To be a member you have to pay P999 but you will receive a product example ingredients for perfume and then you will do all the mixing and then you will sell them without label..everyone is obliged to recruit at least 5 people just to get a loan.A lot of people are getting hooked on this. They also namedrop our President Noynoy Aquino as endorser of this company and even Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista. Please check on this, before a lot of people may be a victim of another pyramid scam..

Generally, the initial concern for people when introduced to a network marketing opportunity is when they see the compensation plan which resembles a pyramid in shape. Instantly they fear the worst as they draw a resemblance to illegal pyramid schemes. The truth is that this pyramid structure is the same as every other sustainable business model across the world.

Is it the shape of the business model that dictates whether a business model is illegal?

No, of course not. If this were true every profitable company, government, church and school would be illegal and shut down. It is not so much the shape of the pyramid that people should be concerned about, more the way in which the pyramid is created that distinguishes whether or not it is legal.

A pyramid scheme can be defined as a fraudulent money-making scheme that is based on a non-sustainable business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme without a legitimate product or service being delivered. Eventually the number of new recruits fails to sustain the payment structure and the scheme collapses with most people losing the money they paid in.

In a more practical sense, probably the easiest way to identify pyramid schemes is firstly there is no legitimate product or service involved (ie you do not get a legitimate product in return for your initial investment). The second way to identify pyramid schemes is that you do not get a financial return unless you have successfully introduced a number of new recruits into the pyramid. Basically, pyramid schemes concentrate on the money that you could earn by recruiting new people into the pyramid and generally ignore the marketing and selling of any products or services.

The concept behind network marketing is a distribution model that allows a company to sell their products directly to the consumer. Choosing to use a word of mouth approach (networking) instead of advertising through traditional streams (eg media). Therefore instead of paying the media for advertising, network marketing companies are structured to reward distributors through commission in return for selling their products and finding new customers.
Therefore the main focus of a network marketing company is product distribution. In fact, in a legitimate network marketing company, distributors are not required to recruit new distributors in order to earn a commission, they can earn money purely by selling the company’s product.

Although distributors can choose to sell the company’s products to earn their commissions, not everybody wants to be a sales person and therefore choose to recruit more distributors into their organisation as a means to build their referral base. Not only does this create a group of loyal customers, it also allows you to leverage the efforts of others to create a residual stream of income.

Another big distinction between pyramid schemes and network marketing is the fairness of good maths. To prevent network marketing companies from falling over like pyramid schemes (where people at the top make all the money and people at the bottom lose everything), there are restrictions placed in the network marketing company’s compensation plan that limit the number of people who can earn a commission off any given sale. Basically there are only so many ways you can split a dollar, therefore, network marketing commissions only travel so far. This not only makes the business model sustainable but also makes it fair in the sense that it doesn’t matter if you got in first or last, you have the same opportunity as everyone else.

So in summary, despite the fact that network marketing and pyramid schemes share a few similarities (i.e. the pyramid shaped business model shown in figure 1, and that in both you can recruit new members) network marketing is a legitimate business opportunity and one where you can earn a substantial legal income. You don’t have to take our word for it, network marketing is now being endorsed by a number of leading businessmen worldwide.

A word of advice when looking into a network marketing business opportunity - unfortunately some pyramid schemes have tried to mimic the network marketing business model before being discovered as fraudulent, therefore you have every right to be initially concerned. For your benefit we have put together a list of questions that you can ask yourself prior to signing the dotted line to help you identify a legitimate company from a fake one.

In particular, the following 2 questions:

Is there a legitimate product involved?
What do you get in return for your start up investment, other then the potential to earn good money? If you're not getting a product or service or if the training tools appear to be overpriced you could have discovered a scam. For more information about recommend products please refer to the "choosing the right product" chapter.

Do you get commissions based on product distribution or on recruitment?
If they are paying commissions based purely on recruitment, walk away now.

Precisely my point MALIVELIHOOD. These scenarios of delays and reasons behind the incidents are crafted and designed to easily deny the existence of such matrix. How in the world will you prove your matrix when the computerized online system is not yet available? It was equated that Mr. Granada has already amassed an amount equivalent to nearly 300 million such amount may not be precise but even if lets say 10% of that was the actual amount...one can have the geneology and online functions in place. a million of investment for such function will not hurt much given the fact that the business evolves over the online network of the geneology. Thus, I rate ALIVELIHOOD as fraudulent and scam in cloaked over the business of the products.

Just a thought to ponder before joining a networking company. The reason why some networking companies are gaining is because of the systematically arranged process and procedures. 1ST: a COMPUTERIZED NETWORK GENEOLOGY. In the advent of the technology age, the reason why networking is ranking at the peak of its career is because of computers and internet. One can easily view and update the status of his/her account by simply logging into his/her personal page. In which you as a member, can visually identify and confirm as evidence and proof that such pattern of the structure has been complied with. This requisite should be complied with before opening up the company to have a proper and systematic process. In the absence of this computerized network geneology, one cannot have the proof and concrete flow of his/her network. Now, question: DOES ALIVELIHOOD HAVE A COMPUTERIZED NETWORK GENEOLOGY, AS IT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR FIVE MONTHS NOW? This gives the company owner all the reasons in the world to delay the cash advances, pay-outs for those who qualify. Now, are we playing with semantics? if such cannot be qualified as fraud what do you think that is? I am stating my first statement. A lot more to come. For the people working under such networking company, might as well try answering such. by: <QWERTY>

Good day i would like to comment about sa reklamador kung ang business ay pyramid scam. The true is the business is not a pyramid scam napakaganda ng intention ng business like Alivelihood to help people especially sa mga mahihirap. Ang the best example of pyramiding scam is a become employer of the company na syang ginagawa natin ngayon as a normal bilang employee we have a supervisor, a manager or a boss sa tingin mo sa tagal ng pagtratrabaho ntin sa isang kumpanya umabot ba o pumantay ba ang salary mo sa mas mataas sayo sa position or even sa boss mo? db HINDI pero Yan ang katotohanan. But here in the business we have the opportunity to become rich and become a boss in ourselves at pde mo mapantayan ang sahod ng mga nauna sayo o sa mga mas mataas pa sau kung pagyayamanin mo ang business mo. Kaya sau na reklamador at negative thinker just think 100 times before you complain just remember- WALANG YUMAYAMAN SA PAGIGING EMPLEYEDO except if u have a hukos pokus na ginagawa. Hope you understand well my short explanation. Ty

sa totoo lang po if you really want to know the company status you need to visit the office.. this is more on livelihood where you need to teach people to be come open minded and teach them the true meaning of networking... if you only want to learn on business without loan you are free to join ... if loan lang ang habol mo . the door is still open with you .. actually we members are also paying this loan incentive in our effort ... not only the livelihood method ang nakatulong pero pati na din po ang extra income na tinatawag.. this are all incentives like big companies provide to those members na talagang qualified... iba ang s cam at di po ito scam kasi you have the product with you to start your OWN OWN BUSINESS MGA SISTER... try this wala naman mawawala sayo ... baka naman tamad ka lang at ayaw mo mageffort at ang gusto mo bumagsak sa harap mo ang pera at pagkain... nabubuhay ka dito sa mundo para mag enjoy... if you think this is really a scam TRY TO RESEARCH!!!

Are you a crab mentalist?

This is definitely a SCAM! Another version of the the so-called PONZI scheme. The loan of an individual will be sourced out from his recruits. Unfortunately, as recruits run out, the nth level will no longer have the source for a loan and they will be left with worthless products to sell. Did you notice that your first loan of P5, 000.00 you will get only P3, 000.00? The kit they give you is only worth at best P300.00 or less. This is big time money-making scheme and SEC should put a cease and desist order on this.

Ano ba ang SCAM? SCAM means when a person tries to deceptively cheat you by first giving you a very good offer about something but later on you would be shocked to know that the person was simply bluffing and you have lost your money. An example of this can be the lottery scam. For example a person calls or emails you and tells you that you have won a lottery prize but to get the money there is a small processing fee, you have to pay that fee and then the money would be sent to you. On hearing the an average person would simply jump with joy and immediately pay the fee to get the big reward, however after paying the fee the scammer would simply disappear and he victim would never get the lottery prize despite losing his money. (Source: http://www.securitysupervisor.com/security-q-a/online-security/263-what-is-scam).
