I purchased a high end 18-270 mm Tamron zoom lens for a Canon AF Camera in March 2011. I purchased it from a recognized dealer, brand new. I started having minor issues with the lens but thought it would be OK. Then, less than 6 months after I bought it - it completely broke. I returned the lens to Tamron, who said the lens had been dropped and broken. NOT TRUE ! This was a defective lens from the get go and now they won't honor their warranty. I paid over $650 for this lens - they wanted over $400 to fix it !! What a rip off ! Don't buy this lens - Tamron 18-270 mm Dii. You've been warned.
