I have used this Service once about a Year ago to speak to a Lawyer and I paid for it. I never Joined anything or anyone. Yet, I find that you are charging my Pensioners Account continually $64.00 Australian Dollars every month. I am in the Nursing Home for the last two Years and just became aware of this Abomination. How dare you. Robbing a handicapped Pensioner, living on the Breadline already. This would have to be just about the lowest act I have ever witnessed. There has been clearly a Mistake made by some Idiot, which cost me dearly.
Would you be so kind as to refund the illegally obtained Money to my Account as soon as you are able to do so. I need it badly and am, at this Time, completely broke. And don't you dare and repeat this activity or I will have to involve the Police.

I was unable to get into my google chrome browser and after several attempts I contacted just answer. I gave my credit card info and a rep (robsworld) came on the chat site and asked if he could take over my screen. I gave him permission and was explaining what the problem was currently. After about 4 minutes, I had not seen a written response and submitted an inquiry if he was still there. I got no answer, but the screen said the rep was closing down the chat: nothing done, no advice, no assistance, no discussion — absolutely nothing! I saw at the bottom of my cell phone my order id: [protected]-670. Above this number, it said "not happy with your answer? Request another expert. Your conversation is covered by our disclaimer," I did request another rep on the cell phone and was transferred to the legal dept. Of just answer to issac, who was asking to please put in a credit card for the $47 charge. I did not want anyone from legal. I just wanted a service rep. I called the service # [protected] and lea apologized for the problem and said they would refund my $5, not charge me anything else and have a tech call me back at no charge. I waited about 40 minutes and was not contacted. I called again and spoke to james who assured me someone would call me. I waited over 90 minutes and called back and spoke to maddie and she too assured me that someone would call me. Two hours later, I called to speak to a supervisor (joelle) who promised me someone would call me tonight. I said, "don't you close at 9pm" and I was told, "no, we are open 24/7".
During each phone conversation with the four people above, I stated they must

I even cancelled going to a party with my husband because I needed to get into my computer. Then at 8:24 pm I went to see if my cell phone was charged and I saw a notice from a "frank" asking if he could assist me. Seriously?!? I immediately sent a notice back and tried to call the number I reached people before — and was told by automated operator that I "... Called outside normal business hours." this is absurd! I explained to joelle that I have an organizing business for people in the entertainment industry and have referred many clients to you when there has been a problem. My clients have lots of money and want answers fast, so they are a great source of revenue for just answer. I am afraid I will never refer anyone to you again! I have very little faith that anyone will call me [protected]), but believe me, your yelp review will reflect your incredibly bad customer service! Utterly ridiculous!

charges on my credit card
I used the just answer service approximately a month to six weeks ago. I was VERY pleased with the chat service I was offered. The problem came when I asked my first question in regards to issues with my android tablet. It was locked and I asked the tech to share steps to resolve this.
His answer was to turn it off and turn it on.
I immediately felt he was possibly not taking me serious as 99% of people know it do this.
At that point he was not ready to share any other answers.
I decided just answer maybe was not the place to get tech assistance with this issue.
I ended the chat and immediately contacted customer service in regards to fees I would be charged.
I was repeatedly told there would be no charges and if one was placed on my card it would be removed within five days.
A few days later a Visa employee contacted me to share that just answer had placed charges on my card and they were concerned.
I immediately contacted just answer and they reassured me that the charge would be off in five days. I waited patiently.
Well today I received my Visa bill and there it was...a charge from just answer.. I am going to contact Visa today. I want this removed from my account immediately. Karen

After subscribing on 8th May 2019 I cannot cancel my membership which I didn't want . It didn't resolve my issue anyway and there is no way possible to cancel or log in to cancel and stop you taking my money.
People are quick enough to come online for money the automated messages via online chat are a joke again asking for money.

I tried their legal service to check on a possible interest I might have in a family farm which was quietly signed over to my Brother with money to change hands with My Mother if and when My brother was able to turn profit after paying normal living expenses; They gave me a general answer which did NOT address the rel question. Nonetheless, I paid the 63 dollar fee plus a 5 dollar fee they charge to see if the person has a valid credit card (my big mistake). So, I paid what I had greed to do for a written report (which I had a hard time reading as the copy was covered over with advertisements' I would suggest that this firm be prosecuted for illegal "Membership" fees which were not in any way requested!

I contacted your company 30th April when you requested 5 pounds. I was not happy with the service and cancelled the following day expecting the money would be returned to my card as you promised. I have now received my statement, not only have you kept the 5 pounds but you have taken a further 40 pounds form my account. When I contacted your company yesterday you requested another 5 pounds which I refused to pay. Can you please sort this asap.

I had an antique vase reviewed by "Nora, " who described the vase I had sent her pictures of accurately (noting that wasn't easily found online) and then quoted a high value of the base as being over $2500. The vase was in perfect condition. I was skeptical, but the expert said no more appraisal was necessay. An in-person appraisal by a licensed antique dealer revealed a value that was about 10% of the low end of the appraiser's quoted value. I would not use your service again. Also, the way you put in fine print how you automatically charge a person for subsequent recurring months smacks of dishonesty. I think your company is 90% about getting money and 10% about service. I certainly won't be using it again, and I will add to the copious amounts of bad reviews whenever I can.

I called Shaw Cable for some help with my TV/Receiver. After a few questions I was told I was being transferred to a tech expert but would have to pay a $5 deposit, which I did.
I was alarmed to be transferred to an outside party that required payment for a service Shaw should have been providing free of charge. I back out without talking to anyone about my problem.
I find that my credit card has two charges, one for $5 and one for $65 for a service I did not want, did not use and did not sign up for. Please remove these charges or I will have to contact MasterCard.

I contacted this group this morning (15th may) via a 'chat' line and was answered by a lady with the name of pearl. I explained my problem and she said I would need the assistance of a 'technician' I was put to raksh, who poked around for about 1 hour attempting to fix my problem with my canon ts5160 printer which at the time would not scan to file. He had numerous actions to get it to work and after about that hour, he did in fact have it scanning to the printer itself, in other words scanning and having the scanned article print out on the computer. I could see when I first contacted them that it was going to cost me $5 which I didn't mind. Then when being forwarded to the 'technician' it would cost me $50 odd dollars which I thought was a bit rich and was adverse to paying it. Raksh said that would be okay and he would not charge me. I thought that was a bit good, but as he had spent an hour on the 'repair' I told him I would pay the $50. When I now look at my bank card I see they have deducted three figures $5.00 - $44.00 an $55.77 all in us dollars.in the end I had to fix my computer and printer my self. I rang canon and they told me this mob is a scam and couldn't help me. Be very wary and I suggest no-one uses them for anything if they do other 'repairs' than a computer

I consulted someone today who helped me to connect my WiFi to my printer, his name is Satheeshkumar and he was excellent in that the problem was solved, and he was clear, comprehensive and patient.
My concern however pertains to the payment that has been deducted from my account. At the outset there is a clear request for a $5 goodwill deposit, which I was happy to do. But thereafter as my request was processed further, I was not asked to agree to a set payment, nor were rates raised or explained. I feel that JustAnswer could have deducted $30 or $300, either way I would not have been aware.

2 withdrawals from justanswer without my consent
On Wednesday the 8th of May 2 withdrawals have been taken out of my NAB account the first one being $5.00 and the second one being $41.00.
I have not used this service at all.
A minor living with me may have used this service with my account details and if there is a membership that she has accidentally signed up for, cancel this immediately.

I mistakingly pressed the wrong key and got an American site instead of Australian. (March I think}.I asked a medical question and recieved a useless answer which I paid for. On 23 April I received on my accoount a bill for $59.00 +1.77 for internaional transfer fee. Membership 1800727139CA. Same thing happened to me. I checked my bank account today and saw that $60.00 was charged to me for the past three months! My bad that I did not check my bank statements. I had asked one question in September 2021 for which I had paid the $5.00. The answer I got was most unsatisfactory. I didn't realize they had been charging me every month. When I called the Merchant number posted on my bank statement, the representative who answered says, there was an auto-subsription that I did not cancel. What?! So the representative says she will cancel my subscription moving forward but past payments will not be refunded.
Thanks to BBB website and all you good people's comments here, I called the merchant back. Threatened to report to BBB, and report to my bank and the rest, and this time, the representative immediately started processing the refund. I am to see my refund in the next 3 to 5 business days. Geez!

Same thing happened to me but I was charged $60.00. Was also told I could not get a refund because the web site somewhere has a disclaimer. I had one question paid for that never wanted a membership.
Ditto, same scenario. On 6/14/19 I went online for a simple problem with a pushbutton on our microwave that I wanted to use a spray lubricant on. There appeared to be no problem doing that. The problem was immediately solved. At no time did I agree to a monthly service membership. On 6/15/19 there was a $1.00 charge on my Visa card. On my next monthly Visa card summary was a $46.00 charge from "Just Answer Membership". Our call to our Visa Card bank was made the next day requesting a dispute for the $46.00 charge. The next day we received an email from Jeff Cavellini, Senior Director, Customer Service, Just Answer saying, "Your membership has been cancelled."
We had received no refund of the $46.00 charge. Over a month later, on 7/22/19 at 1:00 am, we received another email from Just Answer saying, "Your membership has been cancelled as of today. You will no longer be billed on a monthly basis." Again, there has been no refund of the $46.00 membership charge. This appears to be a scam that draws you in to a unwanted monthly membership after asking help for a simple one-time problem.
Same here! So far the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I have never posted a bad review in my life. But JustAnswer is that one scamming company that's taken me there. I'm completely disgusted with this company.
I had paid $5 to have one question answered, this was an offer on their website. I got answer and was billed $5 immediately. A whole month later, I see new charge on my account, they took $46 out of my account without notifications! I immediately called as I was horrified. I was told that this was a membership fee that was coming with the $5 question I had asked a month prior. What?!? At no point they clearly stated I would also be enrolling in such scam. They're offering you the opportunity to pay for a one time question at $5 but on top of that you're paying a secret membership? it makes no sense! Anyone with a brain who then pay for the membership alone and ask as many questions as they'd like. I spent 20 minutes over the phone with the supervisor who was very determined to hold on my $46 as if her life depended on it. They made me want to vomit. Sought advice on probate problem for which I paid the trial £5.00 - advice I think was probably good. Now - ten days later £40.00 has been deducted from my bank account without them contacting me and without authorisation that I certainly would not have given. I now realise this was a scam to get my bank details. They are impossible to contact - no address, email address or phone number. Their website says a customer care person is available 24/7. This is a lie. Many attempts to contact them finish up with a digital response that assumes any complaint is about the advice given. This is a particularly unpleasant form of scam. Potential users should give them a very wide berth.
