JustAnswer answer from a solicitor about power of attorney.

Used JustAnswer for a solicitor to answer a question about "Power Of Attorney" for the sale of property in the Philippines as the law there is quite different between NZ & the two countries. Paid NZD$8.00 for JustAnswer Trial for a 4 word sentence answer, then asked for a much more involved discussion I then refused showing a further payment of $81.00. THIS WAS NOT AGREED but still showed up as a charge against my credit card but never receiving any further answer about my only question! That's $20.25 per word, come on, get real. This is stealing money from people whom you should be able to trust with your own Credit Card details. Do not answer me back with any of your politics about how JustAnswer works. Put the NZD$81.00 back into my ASBBank Ltd account.

Just replace NZD$81.00 No more politics! This can be handed on to the bank Customer Service but if that happens, the bank will be asking for a full refund of NZD$89. Reading reviews to your JustAnswer does not give your website any confidence to use. These tactics for websites is dead. You suggested something about an invoice but stealing funds from a credit card has the ability to do what you do. If you sent me an invoice first then there is a choice for not paying the full amount. STOP ABUSING CREDIT CARDS! Please get your morals in order.

JustAnswer legal advice

The offered free legal advice and told me ask questions. I did. Then asked for $5 and my card details. They draw $5 02 July. Than asked for more money, but I said that I am not paying any more for something might be useless. Then I was charged $66 9 July. They emailed some useless text, not answering my questions.
I did not realise this is from the USA. They can not help me in Australia anyway.
I never authorised any further payment after the $5.

JustAnswer membership scam

Well more than 1 year ago, about April of 2018, we were having trouble installing a new printer. I went online for help. Apparently I submitted my issue to Just Answer (as well as my credit card number? --- I don't remember this much later). I also don't recall if their advice helped with the printer installation, but we did get it working eventually.

Today (Aug. 8, 2019) I examined my credit card statement about an old doctor bill. I discovered a $46 charge for Just Answer. I had no idea who that was or why they were charging us $46 that month (April 2019). I Googled them, found a Customer Service number and called. Mika (sp?) was very courteous and explained that I must have subscribed for a "7 day free trial" (after which our "membership" was continued indefinitely unless we cancelled it). I had no idea that I was subscribing for a continuous service and monthly charge; I would never do such stupid thing.

So, without realizing it, we've been charged $46 every month for almost 17 months without knowing we even had such a "membership" (or ever using it even once in that time). By my calculation, that's about $736 scammed from our bank account.

Yes, "Mika" cancelled my "membership" (thank heaven) and even refunded the last 3 months' charges. But we are still out about $600 for this utter scam! We want it all back! We cannot afford a "gift" of $600 to Just Answer for absolutely nothing!

JustAnswer stealing and fraudulent use of my own private credit card.

I do not know how you did this, but your fraudulent activity on my account and other people, will bite you on your big fat bums!
I did not authorise you to take $2.00 from my account and then another $70.00
I do not know how you did this on 23 and 24 July 2019.
You have no right.
karma will get you all.
How dare you steal from me. You don't even know me. What did I ever do to you.
I demand $72.00 be credited to my account.
I have been to the New Zealand Police.
I have been to my Bank and am currently working with my credit card bank people.
None of you at just answer are human. If you were you wouldn't do this. That said, I feel for your innocent families and friends.
Do they now how rotten you are.
I need that $72.00 and it's my right to have it.

JustAnswer car question, after a $5.00 few they charged my account $34.00. not authorized

I used the service on 7/22/19 about a problem with my car I paid $5.00 for service. A one time service. Now on 8/04/19, they billed my account for $34.00 for upgrading my membership which I never agreed to. I thought it was temporary for $5.00.I wanted a refund and they said I missed it by a couple of days. I hope I do not have to contact the PA attorney Generals office.

JustAnswer youtube taking down family friendly channels!

I can't believe that Youtube is considering taking down the family friendly channel SommersinAlaska! With all of the dirty things that are on here, it's about time there is something that the whole family can watch! Yes kids are in it, but by their own choice! They are not hurting the kidos one bit! No child explotation what so ever! Quit being bias!

JustAnswer none received - I did not proceed after the initial payment of £5

On the 16th of July I contacted Just Answer, regarding a mistake on a booking made on line. They did not want to hear anything I wanted to discuss without paying £5 for which I had to give my debit card details. Subsequent to that I realised the Hotel had written to me confirming the dates of my bookings. Therefore, I decided not to proceed . Meanwhile, Just Answer kept informing me that a lawyer is waiting to advise me. I did not respond, As I was made to understand on the window that appeared on line that if I do not proceed a refund of the £5 will be sent back to me.

Words fail me to make you understand how shocked I was to find out on checking my statement that Just Answer have deducted a further £40 instead of refunding. the initial £5 which they guaranteed to refund if I do not proceed with the enquiry.

There is no other way of contacting them to explain I am not proceeding and I want a refund, because every time you try to contact them they require £5 payment.

Please help me to get a refund of £45 . I do not find the method Just Answer use of squeezing money out of their clients before a service is delivered to the client's full satisfaction.

JustAnswer unauthorized billing

I was informed when I asked my (Paid for) one question that I would be informed before they started claiming the full monthly membership fee to enable me to cancel this deal before any deductions. Have received an e mail stating that R599 has been deducted from my credit card and there was no notification.. Kindly refund these monies immediately. NB: I am a pensioner and cannot afford this and I NEVER asked for the membership.

I did not authorized ant deduction from my dedit account on 07/16/2019 in the amount of $34.00. Now i noyice that you are trying to deduct from my account on 07/28/2019 in the amount of $28.00 dollars. I have not use their services from them on those dates. JustAnswer unauthorised deduction from credit card for non-requested membership.

On 19 June 2019 I tried to find the HP Helpdesk but inadvertently contacted Justanswer. For $2 they answered my question about my Printer - their advice was unhelpful and I realised I was not talking to the correct desk. I declined further assistance from Just Answer and indicated I had found their help of low quality. After a few emails from them which I did not respond to there was no further contact.
Now I find that on 29 June 2019 my credit card was deducted $70 for "Membership" of Justanswer. I immediately (26 July) asked that my "Membership" be cancelled (which an email I am told has happened) and that the $70 be refunded. No refund has been received as of this moment 2pm NZ time 29 July; nor has there been any mention of the money.

I asked a question for 5 $ that they couldn't find an answer for & then put some other "lawyer" for 59$ I said heck no it's bad enough we consumers are trying to seek help by getting answers to lead us in the right direction & then we have this bull"..."happen this is just one of those scams taken our money. Its suppose to be a 30 day free trial they already took 46$ out of my account & it's been 2 weeks I want all my money back!

JustAnswer unauthorised credit card charges

I thought I paid $5 for the answer to a one off question and did not agree to any membership. I just received my credit card bill and found I had been charged $49 for a monthly membership. I have just cancelled it through the internet but think I should get a refund of the $49 as this was never requested and I have not asked for any other answers since my original question.

Hi we had atrial for a question we had about a tv problem but they were no help and I did not mind the $5.15 that we paid lesson learnt I thought till checking I saw that they have taken out $67.98 for a full membership which we had not signed up for and I would like a refund thank you. Have tried to get in touch with justanswer but they want anoughter 5. Oo to answer a question how do I go about getting a refund

JustAnswer justanswer online vet scam

our cat was having some stomach problems so we go on justanswers to talk to a vet. we put in our credit card information and waited about five minutes when we got a response. when we tried to see what the vet had responded, it said we had to put in our credit card information again because the transaction didn't go through. but we looked at the bank statement and they DID take out $22 and now want an extra $22. this is a total scam! do not go to this website!

JustAnswer got charged a $1.00 for services that I did not get or ask for.

I was checking my bank accounts and I noticed an $1.00 charge on my account. I called and they said that it was services rendered several months ago. They did not help me at all. I asked for it back but never got it. I contacted their headquarters and they got me my refund. Now they are charging me again for way back in. I would like my money refunded and all of my information deleted from their files.

I had a bad arm and was looking for some medical advice.

Justanswer said there was a trial for £5.

They asked me some questions, I answered the questions, they ask me some more questions I answered the questions and never got a full definitive answer!

And thought that was the end of that five pounds wasted.

And so I was surprised that today my account was debited with £35.

It's a shame that the experts aren't as motivated as the billing department!

JustAnswer unauthorized credit card charge - "membership"???

I used the JustAnswer.com service regarding an Australian-based legal situation inquiry on 11th July, 2019.

I paid the AUD 5.00 (Basic charge/fee) & then an additional fee of AUD 84.36 to be connected to a Melbourne-based [State of Victoria, Australia] Lawyer, John Melis.
My legal-situation/inquiry was discussed with him & advice was provided which ringed true.

That, I thought would be the end of the matter BUT, evidently not.
JustAnswer.com had other revenue-raising plans for me, to my detriment!

On 18th July, 2019, showing as a withdrawal 'Account Activity' item was a "Membership" charge (on Reference# JustAnswer [protected]) for AUD 66.00.

Lets be VERY clear on this!
Whilst my inquiry WAS answered to my satisfaction by Jon Melis, Melbourne-based [State of Victoria, Australia] Lawyer:
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES did I authorise/agree to ANY "Membership" contract/arrangement/agreement with Justanswer.com.

JustAnswer.com - PLEASE NOTE!
My Australian bank - Westpac - has been authorised to pursue a refund of this UNAUTHORISED deduction of AUD 66.00 from you - JustAnswer.com.

Furthermore other protective steps have been taken to ensure that this 'SERVICE RORT' will not affect me ever again; i.e. in the future.

A 100% REFUND of AUD 66.00 from you is anticipated! VERY QUICKLY!

We signed up for the free trial and when prompted selected no to the membership option. We were charged anyway and expect a full refund. This is the 2nd time our family has been signed up without permission for a membership. We didn't request a refund the first time but are 100% certain we did not choose this option and expect a refund this time.

JustAnswer trial basis membership

AN ABSOLUTE RIPOFF! Stay away.
There is a trial period in which one can ask a question. Good enough, but a credit card is needed. Fine.
There is nothing in the fine print that says that you must immediately cancel, or your credit card will be charged for monthly fees. After I discovered it, the usual response, no refunds, requests must be within a timely manner…
And even better, on their website, to cancel, it says under "account", "membership", click cancel, to cancel the membership….THERE IS NO SUCH TAB!
Stay away.
Gentlemen, was it really worth it to rip me off?

JustAnswer scam and inflexible customer service

So far the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I have never posted a bad review in my life. But JustAnswer is that one scamming company that's taken me there. I'm completely disgusted with this company and would advise anyone who reads this to not use.
I had paid $5 to have one question answered, this was an offer on their website. I got answer and was billed $5 immediately. A whole month later, I see new charge on my account, they took $46 out of my account without notifications! I immediately called as I was horrified. I was told that this was a membership fee that was coming with the $5 question I had asked a month prior. What?!? At no point they clearly stated I would also be enrolling in such scam. They're offering you the opportunity to pay for a one time question at $5 but on top of that you're paying a secret membership? it makes no sense! Anyone with a brain who then pay for the membership alone and ask as many questions as they'd like. I spent 20 minutes over the phone with the supervisor who was very determined to hold on my $46 as if her life depended on it. They made me want to vomit. They stole my money and never sent me a heads up either.
Gross company, do not recommend. You will be met with nasty surprises like this one.
