I signed up to JustAnswer for a 3-day free trial in August to speak with an Medical doctor provider. The service quality was poor and it was unclear whether I was speaking to a qualified professional, so I did not continue.
Months later, my bank contacted me about suspicious transactions. I then discovered JustAnswer had been charging my card €40 every month (September, October, November) without any email notification, invoice, or payment confirmation.
I was never informed a paid subscription was active whom I did not authorized. No receipts, no renewal notice, nothing.
This is not acceptable business practice. I called the company and the rude customer service hang up my phone and said this is company policy. She called back and she said she will asked her supervisor to call me back in 20min time, but no one call me. I am now pursuing a refund and escalating through my bank and consumer protection channels since the company is not helping and denying it.
I would strongly advise others to sign up as there is no notification and not even fine print to read and monitor your bank statements closely.
