I ask a machanic on just answer a question. He helped me out I went to pay the machanic I submitted $10.00 and just answer took $100.00 out. I tried to get a refund back from them twice and they will not respond. Got a hold of the bank and they can not find a address, or phone number on just answer. I was assured that my credit card would not be charged unless I was satisfied with my answer. Since I was not given an answer at all, and therefore was not satisfied, I should not have been charged at all.

computer repair
The web-site was called Just Answer. I requested help with getting my printer to work. The page asked to check an amount that I would pay to have repair assistance. I did this and provided them with my credit card info. Then, I described the nature of my problem. It requested I watch their web-page and they promised prompt service. After a long wait, I left the page and became concerned as I provided my credit card info and received no reply from them.
After several days, I received an e-mail from them asking me to contact them with additional information.
In the mean time, I figured out how to fix my printer, so I told them to forget it after such a long wait.

fraudulent billing
I had an issue with my gas fireplace insert and needed to talk to an hvac expert w/out incurring the standard $95.00 + just to have one show up and take it from there. I thought I try justanswer.com but now realize this was the site I needed to filter said on-line services through before continuing.
I had read the original manual, and have decent troubleshooting skills, for some reason this season my 6 year old gas fireplace would not ignite the pilot. I have pretty decent troubleshooting skills so my questions were very specific. The first three responses, the justanswer expert spoke around my questions, I had to re ask it.com four times before gaining any new information. While the new info was good to have, it wasn't pertinent to the fix. A complete shut down and restart of the process actually got my unit lit on third try.
I ok'd the $15.00 charge (Credit union visa card) the agreed upon sum and saw charge cross w/in the week. One month later, just before christmas, I saw $15 & $ 30 dollar charges cross my account 12/21 to 12/24. I had card cancelled/re-issued and wrote up a dispute for charges. My credit union had corrected the disputed $75.00 to my account and issued my new card by monday of the new year. My credit union's insurance agent is broaching the issue with just answer.com

Contacted Just Answer this morning and after a frustrating 2 1/2 hr wait decided to ask for a refund of my $27. Unhappy they have my credit card details and wondering what to do.
misrepreentation
misrepresented them selves advertise that they charge a fee and ask for info they guarente that you will have satisfaction or your money back. They advertise emply that they can give legal advise. when I asked question on a subject I was told that they could not give legal advise by a person called lady lawyer. She stated she could not give me legal advise. When I said that the web sight was misleading and I wanted my $18.00 back because I wasn't satisfied she said she was telling customer care to do so. I also contacted customer care and gt no where. I did not get my money back. Sight is very misleading. The guarentee your monies back if not satisfied and they do not follow through. Isn't that aganst the law? Especially when they guarentee it?

Having requested help from justanswer for a password problem on my new toshiba laptop. I was then told to insert my credit card account nuber and end date, which i did for a charge for this service to be £13. 00 (Thirteen pounds) . I then expected the answer to my question to be sent to me, it never has been received by me but i have been charged on my credit card for this service. It also advised that as an optional extra if this did not work or i did not agree to this i would not be charged. Although i received an email to say view your answer in a pronouced highlighted block there was no answer even after clicking on this view answer block. I am very unhappy about this and i require the £13. 00 returned to me via my credit card compant nationwide. I have advised them of the circumstances and this is why they have told me to write to you and advise you of my intentions of my future actionsand to advise them if i have no success with this letter. Due to the inactions i have since returned the said laptop to my supplier and this has been replaced. Had i have received this requested software i belive this would not have been necessary, this has also involved me in more exspense needless to say justanswer will not be used ever again byme. money taken without permission
On 30.11.09 I posed a question but I was required to provide more information before an answer could be given. Before I could provide that info a relative of mine solved the problem for me. No answer was given nor requested BUT money has been taken from my credit card without my authority. I request that the money be returned a.s.a.p.

Two days ago I discovered my name on Google, noting that I was accused of harassing a disabled social worker in Buffalo NY. When I went to the website, JustAnswer.com, I found a query dated on or around 19 Dec.2009 from a customer whose identity is Xed out, but who names myself and my two other sisters, and names our cities of residence, along with allegations of abuse from us, all of which are untrue. JustAnswer.com go on to advise this woman that she could instruct lawyers to start court proceedings against us.
It is my opinion that JustAnswer.com have acted unprofessionally in allowing my and my sisters' names and locations to be published, thus not protecting our right of privacy. I cannot act in my sisters' names, but I would like to make the strongest complaint against this company for publishing my personal information without my express permission. I did leave a complaint with their customer services department, but then read about them on your site and do not want to get sucked into paying deposits to them.
Many thanks.

It wasn't the expert that posted your names. Not even just answer. It was the person that mentioned them. Every question asked and every response given is searchable on line. I answered approximately 9000 questions while I was an expert for them. I received over 5000 accepts. I can bring up every one of them by searching: justanswer boat and (my screen name). I could find every question you asked by putting in justanswer (your name) so could you or anybody else. When you post things on the internet, there is no legal expectation of confidentiality. If this person slandard you, you need to go after him, not the people he told his story to. You should have no problem since you can show proof.
mike, justanswer has no customer service, don't bs people by pretending that they do.
JustAnswer has a policy against any personal info being used. The expert that answered the question should have asked JustAnswer to remove the info. Send an email to info@justanswer.com with the details.
cant get refund
I had $23.00 deducted from my Visa for an answer on how to replace a radio aerial on my 1994 toyota hilux. Prior to getting an answer but after $23.00 was deducted from my Visa card my neighbour solved my problem. I immediately advised Just Answer that the problem was fixed.I received a reply saying thats good. Since 1st December 2009 when this episode took place I have sent no less than forty emails requesting a refund, all have fallen on deaf ears. This mob has got to be a real rip off they don't give an address or phone number.
Can you help?

overcharged us unauthorized additional charges
We used their services online on December 3rd, 2017. They answer a question you have and if you are satisfied with the response, you authorize them to charge your credit card a $14 fee. We needed information on our dryer heating element, which they did respond to in a timely manner. We were satisfied with the response and did authorize the charge of $14. When we looked at our bank statement, JustAnswer had actually charged us the $14 fee, five different times, thus causing overdraft fees etc. We are still waiting for them to remove 2 of the charges. Because they are endorsed by the Better Business Bureau, we assumed all would be well. Apparently, we should have researched a little more because now we have seen that they have received many complaints about this same issue. Many people have been overcharged by them and have had a difficult time getting there money back. There is no customer service contact Tel# so you can speak to someone live and so we hope that they (whoever they are?) will respond to us via email quickly.

I had called requesting information to repair my DVD on the Panasonic TV. I was asked how much I would pay for the answer. I agreed with $28. There statement was that I would only be billed when I was satisified with their answer. I agreed, however, no one came on line to tell me anything. I waited for over one and a half hours for contact. I received none. On this months credit card billing, I see where they charged me with $28. So in reality, I got nothing for $28. I think that they should send in a negative charge for $28 to the credit card company. I have been unable to contact them by phone or email. I solicit your help please. Thank You.
I contacted this website when my female husky drank delsym, because they said they had "real" vets with "real" answers..
We asked them what to do blah blah blah and they told us common sence stuff (It was 9pm on a saturday and we have no vets open here on weekends) so we did not accept their answer. Next day, I had a charge from their site.. Fine, what ever... 1 month later, there it is again.. I called to ask why there was another charge, and they told me that I signed up for monthly info! I most certainly did not! That the rude man on the phone proceeded to tell me that if I wasn't expecting to be billed I never should have asked the question and when I referenced their section on no payment for not accepting the answer, he laughed! The only thing "real" about this site, is that it's a "real" scam!
He's refunding me my money, cancelling my "subscription" and I told him that if I see any thing else from them I am charging them with fraud, laughed and hung up on him. The nerve!
Hi, they are scam I asked 1question on 10/10/12 after reading reviews stupidly after I had submitted my question I then called customer service 4 times twice two ladys hungup one lady that I spoke to I asked her about complaints & abot money taken without permission & she said ' yes we will get more money out' and then hungup. This is a very nasty company. I'm just praying that I get my money back & thats the end of that. & once a guy who seemed like he was doing his job properly said that he has closed all of my account & that I should have my money back in 3 - 5 working days so wednesday 17th hopefully in my account & then i'll get my bank to block them from taking my money, it really scares me after reading other reviews I just want my money back & them to hopefully not takeing my money. I'll keep you posted if I get my money back.
I recently used this website to access medical advise and was chargedfor this service, which Was part of using the site. This week they sent me an email asking me to answer a quick survey about the service I received. When I replied and sent back their survey, they then accessed my bank ac again and took another $23 for answering their survey. What a scam! I have emailed them but don't think I'll receive an answer. It is sad to think that a service that has medical Practitioners working for them would do this. I always thought that doctors were ethical people but I have been proven wrong. So Sad

Do not use this service. You will be instructed to deposit the amount that you are willing to pay for the answer and/or homework help that you are requesting. You may be lucky and get an answer to one of your questions which is what happened to me with my first question that I asked. So I started to trust the site and I placed many deposits to help me with other homework that I was having problems finding time to research. Now my money is stuck in justanswer.com, I am not getting any responses from customer service and I have been asking for an explanation and/or a refund for two weeks. This service is a con... do not go there... If you really want some true help with homework and papers you should go to http://www.oppapers.com/search.php this sight will charge you once and you will have a wealth of papers at your hand to read for suggestions and/or hints... DO NOT USE JUSTANSWER.COM

I paid for an answer to a legal question but now find I am being billed again each month for unlimited service which I definately did NOT sign up for. They have continued to draw money from my bank account for several months. The only telephone number I can find is in the States, which is great if you are in the UK. The sign up does NOT say that the fee will be recurring. This is definately an unlawful scam.
I was seeking support for vista. I was asked what I would billing to pay for a solution. $14, $20, $30 . The deposit was required before any assistance was provided. After a few useless suggestions, I had the option to Accept the Answer to validate the charge. Their suggestion was useless, definetely not from an expert so I didnt accept the answer.
They still charged my card, but I called my bank who reversede the charge.
So fukkk them, their crooks. Do not use them
I asked a simple question about printer driver availability for my older printer and new Windows 7 computer. I got a smart reply that my (perfectly operating!) printer was old and that no drivers were available. That was it. I was offered a chance to pay the new low price of $7 for the response, after of course having had to put a higher amount in the "deposit" account. I was charge $16 in March, and then each subsequent month, $9 for 3 more months. A total of $43 has been charge to me, with no other contact with this company, no further questions, other than asking them how to get my money BACK form them. No response of course. My credit card company is disputing the charges for me, but I want my other $9 that was overcharged to me back as well!
I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. Impossible to communicate with them.

I did not accept answer, but was billed anyway. My e mail from justanswer.com charged me 26 dollars but they tolk out 104 dollars.
I had a question about their fees. I got nothing but a robotic response. I read their "terms and conditions" the phrase "double charge" comes up more than once... Please read their fine print... Red flags!
Sidenote: plentyoffish.com as well as many other web sites directs you to go to this "help" (Justanswer) and pay them $30.00. Because they can't answer / respond to a simple question you submit on line—because they have no "customer service" worth a can of beans.
I used this service, and the answer I received was a simple answer that could be found anywhere for free so I did not accept the answer. However, they will not refund my money now even though their site specifically says that if you do not accept the answer that they will refund your money. This company is a major scam company, and they do not honor what they say on their website. Do not use this site, because they will take your money and you will get nothing in return!
On 10 / 18 / 10 i asked for help from aol re not being able to access my email address book. I was' sent " to a live person who charge my credit card $30 but they gave me advice that did not work. I had an electrical question for a fellow that was a supposed "expert" in the electrical field..."craig" was the experts name... Beware of "craig"... He almost caused me to blow up a transformer I was wiring, by telling me how to wire it without even knowing what it really was... I saw another "expert" with much higher ratings jump all over the screen for it... I just wish I worked with the other expert before I had worked with "craig", because the other expert was right in the questions he began to ask, and this guy "craig" kept repeating the wrong answer... Big mistake. I use just answer frequently, and have no other complaints besides that... I figured it out myself, but next time I use just answer, I will be sure not to use "craig" — he has no clue... And I never expierienced that with just answer before this guy was on that site...
I asked a question on JustAnswer and was asked what amount I could pay - I hit the $15.00 and submitted my question - which the answer was what I already knew - so instead of accepting I replied and received a message that my question had been submitted to experts and I should receive an answer shortly - well I never did receive an answer but they took my $15.00 and overdrew my checking account and my bank charged me additional 36.00 for overdraft. They say the are issuing me a refund but the 36.00 is also their liability - do not use this service at all.. if you need questions answered call your local hospital who usually has an "Ask a Nurse" department---these people are preying on the sick and uninformed and should be put out of business. BEWARE
OK, at first they look legit and answer you back real fast so it seems like someone is actually there. I ask a fairly straight forward question which any "supposed" expert would be able to answer within 5 minutes. 5 minutes later... no response... 10 minutes later... no response... 15 minutes later... no response. SO then i started to get a little suspicious of this sight. One simple piece of advice that i wish i knew at the time JUST ###ING GOOGLE IT. the first two pages are hits talking about the ### this company pulls by repeatedly withdrawing funds from your account even in cases where the account has been canceled. and if that's not enough to shake the tree, there is no way to get in contact with anyone affiliated in any way with this site. Just empty "customer service" links and random dudes named "nick" and "adam" who show up on these forums to try and say that its a simple misunderstanding and the problem is real simple to fix just do this this and this and look at that you're account is gone right? WRONG. None of that ### works. I haven't found one legitimate person involved in this business. I already sent an email to some dummy address probably set up to deal with the mob of angry internet goers but i say its time we organize for some web justice. Anyone whose had a ### experience with this company post below. maybe we can make enough of a commotion to capture this [censored]bag's attention. Hope you see this. Mother ###er.

On 10/23/09, I asked for help with a malfunctioning cordless mouse on JustAnswer.com. The site made it appear that a person would assist. The "answer" was canned language from some computer guide not specific to my question. The info shown did NOT help at all.
I should've known it was a phony site, when asked which of 3 levels of compensation I was willing to pay. I picked $18.00. Was I a dupe!
I paid with PayPal and have asked for a refund.

JustAnswer took $18.00 out of my Visa debit card account without authorization. They did not help me fix a problem with my Outlook Express 6. They incorrectly represented themselves as authorized Windows/Microsoft company representatives and promissed 100% satisfaction. They will not answer my many requests for a refund. In addition, it is impossible to find a phone number for them in order to lodge a complaint.
The make you give them a deposit to be escrowed which they say will not be used unless you are satisfied.
I will report them to my bank, the Better Business Bereau, and the Texas Attorney General's office. I will ask my bank to go after them and try to get my money back. I have a debit card issued by Chase Bank.
IT IS A SCAM! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Scam / noanswer want deposit back
I wanted some simple answers about my dog. Well this seemingly free website had me go through all of the registration process ask my question from their "experts" and then tell me I need to provide a "good faith deposit" which I can not seem to get back. Also I never even got my answer from them. This site is a rip-off and I encourage everyone to stay away...

I needed some advice on a wound my cat received by a raccoon. I needed the information immediately and this seemed like a good option. I asked the question and was asked how much I would pay - I chose 13.00. It directed me immediately to paypal where I paid the amt.In full using my bank acct. Received the receipt and waited. About an hour later I got an email that I had a response. I went to retrieve and it asked me to pay... I contacted customer service and they said I had not paid. Checked paypal and it was received by them - also deducted from my bank acct. I sent them the receipt and went back and forth with about 20 emails. Got no where but the run around. I asked for a phone number - I called, no one answers... So left a message. 2 days later and have gotten nowhere. I am really ticked off - not even just the money - but the principal and the time I have taken on this! Ridiculous... Do not use this company - you will be sorry!

I've used them many times without any issues. You dont pay unless you get an acceptable answer to your question. You do pay a deposit if you want your answer quickly, but the deposit is refundable if you dont get an answer. Simply email them for a refund. First time I used them I didnt get any answer at all and requested a refund, the refund was given within 72 hours. I've used them several times since and was happy with the service. One thing to note, there are good experts and some not so good, they have an option to "opt" out of expert that is assisting you if you feel that they dont have the knowledge to answer your question, this is a great feature, I've opted out several experts that just didn't have the knowledge in my opionion, then another expert came along and answered my question that resolved my boat issue. Just be sure that you are satisfied with the expert that is helping you, or opt him or her out until a better expert answers your question. I hope this helps.
I was also billed with no service. Paypal paid them and my bank account was decucted the amount. I called and they could not figure out why I did not recieve a answer... Right! I would not use this site. Now I am in the process of getting a refund. Filing a dispute with paypal so we shall see.

I asked a questions at Justanswer and they couldnt answer so all I did was click the help button and ask for a refund and I had my deposit back in less than 24hrs.
Since then I have asked a lot more questions and had a great experience with all of them.
No offence dude but if you did not read the instructions where it says you have to pay a refundable deposit then that is your own stupidity that you did not ask for it back
