Non delievery of services
I made a payment for UKL21:19 to receive an expert answer to a current medical problem. Upon trying to effect the transaction, the page displayed the information that the email address I used --MY email address - was registered to another user. Impossible!
I sent an email to JustAnswer asking them to help. That was over five days ago. No response. And my card company has authorised the payment although they tell me that JustAnswer has not picked it up.
What would you advise me to do now?
Many thanks!
unauthorized credit card charges!
Just beware - automatic billing without consent
Me and my husband would like to remind everyone out there, just beware of this company (Apparently an american company). We only used the service once which at that time was under a free trial though we finally paid for a one off fee for the consultation. (This was back in july last year 2011). Just recently, it came to our attention that our credit card has been debited (Without our authorization) for more than $100 each month since last year up till this month. We were totally upset and surprised that this company, without our consent and authorization, charge subscription fees (Which we never subscribed for!) onto our credit card! Even though now they are in the process of getting us our refund back, think twice before giving your credit card information to any companies overseas (Outside australia).

Same thing happened to me. They are not returning any emails with an explanation why they took the money from my account. Service was unsatisfactory firat time round and now this.
We have also had the same thing happen! Only used them once (last year) and they had been taking unauthorized payments of around $85 out for the last 6 months. Our only authorized consult was in April last year.

And yet had not received their answer.

No way to cancel
Contacted site to ask a lawyer a legal question. Paid $49 for the question, which was answered to my satisfaction. However, they signed me up for an unlimited subscription in which they are going to take money money from my credit credit card on a monthly basis. I did not approve this. Not only that, the site gives directions on how to cancel your...

unethical behavior
I have perused the just answer site several times. I was horrified to see many, many, many responses by one so-called expert — - kate mccoy — - who constantly intervenes in this particular customer's therapy sessions. I understand that it is the customer who keeps asking kate about her sessions but then kate constantly answers instead of being professional and telling the customer — - look by you keeping on asking me questions you are splitting things and you will never work things out in your therapy. She should have told the customer that she should be bringing all these matters up with her therapist. If she feels that her therapist can't handle things then she should refer the customer to a new therapist, not constantly meddle in the customer's therapy. Of course, just answer doesn't flag this as unethical and non-professional because, of course, when the customer pays kate mccoy, then just answer gets half the fee. If I knew the state that kate mccoy practices in I would report her to her state board for unethical conduct. Be that as it may, just answer should not accept ms. Mccoy's non-professional behavior and should ban her from the site.
credit card charges
Last month I had initiated an information request regarding a medical condition. After being frustrated by a faulty internet system by which I attempted to send them photos of my skin condition, I quit their services and asked that no charges be made. I was informed the initial charges would be canceled and that I would have a period of time to ask any other medical questions I might have without a cost. I have since that time been sent a couple emails informing that my account was still active should I wish to ask any questions. I dismissed the emails as junk mail and haven't persued any further contact with this website. Today upon opening my credit card statement from my bank here in Austria, I see there are 2 charges made by Just Answer Doctors each for 35€. I will have my bank block future payments to this company, and will seek restitution for the false charges. Having just now attempted a google search for the website, the website doesn't appear to be on line anymore, or has been removed from the address' links in google.
justanswer.com
I looked on line to see if we could get some info on an antique piece of furniture we had been given. I found a site that declared they had experts waiting to instantly answer my questions. I entered in my question and then was asked for $20 on my VISA in order to get the answer, if I was not satisfied then my card would not be charged. I did that. I then waited to hear. Today (1 day after the quesion was asked) I received an email that my answer was ready. When I tried to access it I got the following message "Server Error-404-File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavaliable." I tried every other link on the email to try to figure out what was going on. I am completely unable to get any kind of response from this company. Susan Grazier

ongoing unauthorised debits from credit card
I went on the Just Answer lawyers website in July 2011 after a charge of $36.00 billed to my credit card i received a satisfactory answer to my question, however they continued to debit $36.00 each month there after, something they had no authority to do and I had asked no further questions of them. I am trying to get a refund from them but really don't think I will have much luck they are internet rip off merchants...Oh but their offices in San Francisco look amazing from what I could see on their web site internet fraud has paid off well for them.

unauthorised credit card withdrawals
I asked a question on the justanswer.com website and and paid via credit card the £28 fee via credit card. A few months later I saw one of our credit card statements and justanswer.com had been taking unauthorised monthly payments of £28. We then noticed the company listed on Scam watch websites with the complainants all reporting the same unauthorised payments.

WARNING ! justanswer.com takes your money even id your not satisfied !
Unauthorised credit card debit
an unauthorised amount of $46.00 has been deducted from my credit card information was sought on an internet search for a new printer the information given was unsatisfactory as it was only information freely available on other sites and unhelpful in a technical fashion which was necessary in this instance therefore no authorised payment was made

unauthorised charge
I used this service once only approximately 3 months ago and just the other day I received a unauthorised transaction from account [protected] justanswer *advice. This was for a charge of $36 and was definitely not authorised in any way.
My bank has been informed and a fraud complaint has been filed.
I have tried on several occasion to contact this company to get my refund and I keep getting no where. There is no contact number for this country and I wouldn't be surprised if the number on the site is fake. When trying to email them the website just keeps going in circles and basically crashes.
I demand for this site to give me my money back and delete all information in regards to me, including my bank account details.
I have now since seen several complaints online about this website.
Do not trust this service! They are fraud!

this comany Justanswer *Lawyers have made 3 transactions on my bank account and I don't recall using they service at all. This company is a fraud company and I demand my money back. Is there somewhere we can get our money back $381.00 Australian dollars. What kind of website is this and where do they get our bank details from. Can someone close the website or investigate futher.
I asked one question . never got an answer and never agreed to pay. They took £47 and they keep taking the money every month. These people are criminals pretending to be lawyers. Stay well clear of them they know nothing theor advice is worthless and once they have your card details they will keep takling your money
disappointed with service
Incompetence prevents this company from achieving their potential so I'm hoping that they will use this rant to improve and become a useful service. First, it would help if they were more honest, direct, easier to understand and did not try to trick people into signing up for the monthly service as well. Their web pages are confusing and or tricky (you can easily sign up for the monthly service without realizing it as many on this board have complained about) One number for customer service was wrong but I found another that worked. Whew! Customer service is one of those third world places where everything is scripted so it was difficult to get a message across, especially when one is already frustrated. But I should note that as of this moment, it seems they were able to straighten everything out and cancel the question/charge so a little grousing about CS's ritual does not indicate a serious breach of their responsibility. Folks in North America calling in the afternoon should understand the person they reach is working the graveyard shift! Try calling in the evening and you get much brighter service.
One area they could be honest about is whether or not legal questions are answered by lawyers (as they seem to suggest) or paralegals. One wonders why a full fledged lawyer would waste valuable time trying to make 30 bucks. I doubt they do. But I can see paralegals being interested. I would still have gladly paid the C$44 for a paralegal opinion (on Right-of-Way question) so why wouldn't they just say so.
Well, I hope this little rant helps both JustAnswers.com and potential customers avoid unnecessary pitfalls. The service is potentially valuable for both parties and shouldn't be spoiled by glitches, misunderstandings or whatever. If there's any problem with the cancellation/refund, I'll add a comment below or edit this entry. GLTA

I agree with you about Ja I thought it was a good site at first. But later I found out the Doctors are not real. one of them is a Receptionist
in a Doctor's office.she does have a Ba but when there picture shows doctor that is what i expect to get. Not a low person. guessing at how you feel. Even the pictures are fake. not the person. Ja does not check them out that good. I only asked a few questions I got a pasted answer. at this point I jerked my account. I hate fake people.
still being direct debited. for services I have only used on one occassion.
I used this service on one occassion 16/12/2011 and have had my credit card debited on two occassions. I was debited $18 on 16/12/2011 and now again $28 on 16/01/2012. I no longer require these services and wish to be credited for money that was debited for no reason...
a total scam that can cost lots of money
This company is a classic Internet scam that pretends to offer expert advice on dozens of topics for a small one-time fee. The company then coverts the customer's credit card access to a monthly "subscription" and bills the credit card every month.
The "customer service" links are designed not to work. The "contact us" link is a fake. The "experts" are often wrong or are simply phonies.
There are hundreds of complaints on the Internet about justanswers.com
This is one of the most blatant and cleverly-designed scams on the Internet.

Just answer is ok yes it cost a lot. Do you know what expert you are getting no. But if you need to just to chat it's a good site. It helped
my wife a lot. the experts are not real I believe they are not real Doctors I can't prove this but no real doctor will be on this site as long as they are a day. I also can't see any real doctors siging up to be a expert on this site. please correct me if I am wrong. my wife has spent some where between 2500 and 3000.00 .Now just answer has been there for us they have heart. I have money refunded back to me. so i believe there is some honest folkes on there. Also if they are real Doctors they would put there real schools and certificates on there profil. pictures are not real. That I know for sure they are from photo stock. so If you need a friend pay one from this site.
keep taking money from my account
I paid £28 as a one off payment but every month they take £28 out of the account. I now request that you cancel this payment immediately [protected]
I have just discovered that justanswer has been taking £26 per month from me since October 2011 without any authority. I have never signed up, I tried to log in to what is meant to be my account today and the auto response tells me I need to click a link on the email they sent me. They didn't send one because I didn't sign up. Have notified my bank. Anyone know how to get this organisation to return my money and how to report them? And hilariously, they are advertising at the top of this page that they have 8 scam experts online now to answer my question about how to deal with their scam!
charges
I consulted justanswer *lawyers in october about a copyright matter in connection with a book I was writing. Their representative answered my question. I was satisfied with the answer. I paid the & pound;4.00 *promo fee and an extra & pound;1.00 because I was satisfied with the service. On october 10th & pound;21.00 was taken from my bank account. A further & pound;22.00 was taken on 14th october, followed by another & pound;4.00 on october 18th, & pound;22.00 on november 15th and I have just discovered another & pound;22.00 was taken yesterday. I don't know what can be done about this. I have tried to find out why I am being charged this amount every month but I have not had any replies to my emails. I am now getting in touch with my bank to see if I can stop the payments. I suffer from multiple sclerosis which confines me to my home, especially at this time of year. I live on disability benefits of less than & pound;800 per month. I really cannot afford to lose this money. I think it is disgusting that these people are allowed to get away with this kind of scam and, judging by the number of complaints i've read on here, i'm not the only one.
unauthorized charge
I only used ' justanswer'once sometime in June this year, and $46 had been charged as agreed for the service on 29/6/11. How dare you keep charging me $46 monthly on every 29th of each month, i.e. $46 on 29/7/11, $46 on 29/8/11, $46 on 29/9/11 and $46 on 29/10/11. Your ref. : *Doctors [protected] CA. I am now demanding that you refund the 4 extra month...

I asked a question about forwarding existing mail from an old email account to a new one. From the answer that was given to me, the "expert" assigned to me spent no longer than 10 seconds on a google search literally copying and pasting what he found into his response. This information did not answer my question. It was clear from his response that he didn't spend any more time on the google search than he did reading my question. The expert, who's username is "dimmusacio, " ended our correspondence accusing me of not clarify the fact that I wanted to transfer existing mail rather than new mail even though the first sentence of my question began with "I'm having trouble forwarding existing messages from a gmail account..." Mr. dimmusacio certainly lived up to his name. He turned out to be quite dim indeed. Justanswer.com then charged my credit card before I had accepted the answer. I definitely would not recommend justanswer.com to anyone interested in solving problems. However, the customer service representative from justanswer.com that I spoke with regarding a refund was very pleasant, polite, and wonderful to speak with.

charging a second time.
I was led to believe that I was charged $38.00, a one time fee for the month
of October. They would answer any legal questions pertaining to the original problem. I deposited my money from my paycheck today & there is a debit pending for $38.00 which did not authorize! I will be contacting a lot of people about this because I do not have an extra $38.00 plus the overdraft fees this will cost me!
