Unsatisfactory environment for dining
We ate at the Peru location and it is so cold in there you had to wear coats! The food was cold and the $40 breakfast not enjoyed. The location should be closed until the heat issue can be resolved or post a sign on the door so customers can have the choice of whether they would like to dine in the cold temperatures. Staff was very nice and receptive to complaints on issue but nothing that they could do.
SHAMEFUL A corporate company can’t feed a hungry man
After listening to the termination of an employee that paid for pancakes for a poor hungry man gets terminated. Corporation should be ashamed of themselves especially on Thanksgiving.
I’ve spent thousands of dollars with this company and no longer feel comfortable giving another dime.
My only hope is others hear it read it and leave this dining institution.
Recommendation: I’d recommend all clients leave your corporation and never eat or dine with you again.
Yah Zach you could be correct if you would have known the rest of the story. Obviously you missed it. The waitress paid for the gentleman with her own resources without her employee discount. Maybe watch the news story for yourself. What I choose to do with my dining dollars have little to do with you that said i choose not.
Also, if you are going to stop going to restaurants because of issues like this, you may as well stop going to any restaurant. Most would rather throw food out than give it to those who need it most. If an employee gives them food, they are fired for "stealing" even thought the food will be thrown out in the first place.
Yeah, well we are only getting one side of the story here. Were the pancakes paid for? The company claims that feeding him was a "danger" to other customers and it will encourage loitering. The manager needs to know that they can end up homeless as well. Hopefully, the lady finds a better job with her publicity, or at least gets funds from gofundme.
Great waiter!
The food was tasty, but my steak had a lot more gristle than expected. My waiter (Eric?) was, pleasant, efficient, and handled a different problem expertly. He determined that the kitchen had prepared my dish incorrectly. Rather than bring it to me, he sent it back to the kitchen and had them prepare it again. He then came over to tell me there would be a delay in my receiving my order and why. So much better for him to do that than to bring me the dish and have me complain and send it back. Great move! Unfortunately, when I tried to take the IHOP survey I could not get in. But kudos for the great service.
Horrendous
Visited this restaurant on 1/27/24. Had the worst service I've ever had in my life. Not one person working there cared.
1. The food was brought on in two trips 10 to 15 minutes apart. When the server or bus boy arrived with the first order I asked him which omelet it was that he set down. He said he didn't know but he'd find out. He never returned.
2. 10 minutes later we cut into the omelet to see which it was. We had ordered two similar omelets. We determined it was mine. It was already cold. I waited another few minutes for the rest of the family's meals to be brought to the table.
3. As soon as the rest of the meals were brought, I asked for more butter. The waitress said ok and that she would get it. She returned 15 minutes later. I told her I didn't need it any longer because it would not melt because the pancakes were then cold also.
4. They charged for items that were never brought to the table. Example: the add on of peppers into my aunt's omelet. I had to point this out.
5. My son ordered a French Toast Combo. "Berry Mix" When it arrived it was just strawberry. I waited for the waitress to check in with us but I had to flag her down. By the time she returned with the "Mixed Berries" in a bowl, he was done eating.
6. The credit card machine was down. I was not told this. After 20 minutes I had to flag the waitress down again. Then she told me this. I waited another 20 minutes. During that time, I asked the hostess, a bus boy and our waitress to ask the manager to come over. He never did. I was CERTAINLY NOT leaving the restaurant without signing my credit card slip and cancelling a line through tip. I waited. I waited. I waited. Finally, it came. I drew a line through the tip and handed the waitress a tip over 20 percent. I did not know how much of the problems were her fault. However, she was a very crappy, inattentive waitress who did not care about her customer's experiences, obviously. Not even a tiny bit.
7. I saw the manager smiling and laughing with customers at two tables as I was leaving. I waited for him to finish and then I was going to flag him down. He disappeared into the kitchen. I waited for five minutes and then left, never having spoken with him.
The mushrooms in my cold omelet were surprisingly good. I wondered what type of mushroom it was. That is all of the positive I can offer.
IHOP, do not contact me with words of apology, coupons or credits. There is absolutely NOTHING you can do or say that will make me return to this restaurant, or any other IHOP.
You can however speak with the server and manager if you care to, which is doubtful.

Terrible Service and Refusal of Refund at IHOP 00939 in Norwalk, CA
I went to IHOP 00939 in Norwalk Ca and ordered a Belgium Waffle Combo. I paid with my debit card and waited for 45 minutes, but my food never arrived. I was really disappointed and asked for my money back, but the staff refused to give me a refund. The Manager, Mark Romero, was not helpful at all and didn't even give me the phone number of the franchise owner so I could complain. I felt like they didn't care about their customers at all.
To make matters worse, there was another gentleman ahead of me who had been waiting for an hour for his food and he also complained, but nothing was done to help him either. It was really frustrating to see that the staff didn't seem to care about the customers' experience.
When I asked for my money back, the Manager offered me a rain check to come back at a later time. I didn't want a rain check, I just wanted my money back. It was really disappointing to have such a bad experience at IHOP.
Overall, I would not recommend this location to anyone. The service was terrible and the staff didn't seem to care about the customers at all. If you're looking for a good breakfast place, I would suggest trying somewhere else.
Disappointing Fish & Chips at IHOP Abbotsford - Overpriced and Underwhelming
Me and my wife went to IHOP on a Sunday, October 8th, 2014. We went to store #306 in Abbotsford BC. We were both feeling like having some delicious brunch, so we decided to order the SR FISH&CHIPS IN BEER [protected]@ $9.99 EACH.
When the young lady brought our order, I couldn't help but laugh. My wife was also surprised by what she saw. The dish was a small piece of Beer Battered fish, which was only about 3 and 1/2 inches long. It came with some chips, a piece of toast, and a little bit of tarter sauce. I think that the dish was way too overpriced, and it should have been on the child's menu.
We have been to many IHOP restaurants, from Yuma to Canada, and we have always enjoyed our meals. However, this time, we were disappointed. We felt like the dish was not worth the price we paid for it.
Overall, we still love IHOP, and we will continue to visit their restaurants. We just hope that they can improve their menu and offer better value for their customers. James Barley.
Terrible Experience at IHOP: Rude Management, Cold Food, and Unpleasant Customer Relations
Went to IHOP for a quick breakfast and boy was I disappointed. The management was so rude, I couldn't believe it. When I went to pick up my order, the manager told me to just leave! Can you believe that? And to top it off, it took over 45 minutes to get my food. I ordered a simple 2 egg breakfast, but it seemed like they were cooking it on the other side of the world. When I finally got my food, it was cold and unappetizing. I tried to be nice and cordial, but the manager was just so unpleasant. She even told me not to come back to the restaurant! Can you imagine? It's like she doesn't understand that customers are what keep the doors open. I mean, why would I ever put myself through that again? If you want to be ignored by the staff and have a terrible customer relations interaction with cold food, then this is the place for you. But if you want to actually enjoy your meal and have a pleasant experience, then I suggest you go somewhere else. There are plenty of other restaurants that would love to have your business. Don't waste your money on this place.
Terrible Experience at IHOP in Glen Burnie, MD: Rude Service and Inedible Food
I was really disappointed with my experience at IHOP. My friend and I stopped in to order some food to go, but we had to wait for 15 minutes before someone finally came to take our order. And to make matters worse, the person who waited on us was really rude!
But the worst part was the food itself. It was just terrible. We had to throw it away because it was so bad. We were told to wait for 20 to 30 minutes while they fixed it, but even after that, the food was still cold and unappetizing. The fries were really nasty, and the steak on my cheese steak sandwich was so hard that I could barely chew it. And the cheese was just thrown on there haphazardly.
I don't think I'll ever go back to that IHOP again. Now I understand why there was hardly anyone there when we went. There was only one worker there, and they should have warned us to stay away. When the food is good, the place is packed, but when it's bad, you only have the worker there. So my advice is to save your money and avoid the IHOP in Glen Burnie, MD.
IHOP Review: A Lifesaver During Crazy Times with Top-Notch Service and Reasonable Prices
I gotta say, IHOP has been a real lifesaver during these crazy times. With all the restrictions and shutdowns, it's been tough to find a place to sit down and enjoy a meal with my loved ones. But IHOP has been holding it down, keeping their doors open for us hungry folks who are sick of being cooped up at home.
And let me tell you, the service at IHOP is top-notch. They always seem to have plenty of servers on hand, which is more than I can say for some other places I've tried to go to. I think it's because they really care about their customers and want to make sure we have a great experience. And the prices are pretty reasonable too, which is always a plus.
Now, I will say that the menu could use a little more variety. Don't get me wrong, I love me some pancakes and waffles, but sometimes I want to switch it up a bit. And I'm not a huge fan of the whole QR code thing they've got going on. I mean, I get it, it's supposed to be more convenient and all that, but sometimes I just want to hold a real menu in my hands, you know?
But overall, I gotta give IHOP props for keeping their doors open and providing a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for their customers. So if you're feeling cooped up and need a break from all the craziness, head on over to IHOP and treat yourself to a nice meal. You won't regret it!
Terrible Experience at iHop: Dirty, Slow Service, Bad Food, Rude Staff, and a Dead Rat in the Kitchen
So, I went to iHop the other day and let me tell you, it was not a good experience. Honestly, if I could give it zero stars, I would. The food was just terrible and the place was so dirty. As soon as we walked in, we were hit with this really strong smell that was just awful. It smelled like sewage and the bathroom was even worse. It was like the smell was following us around the whole time we were there.
To make matters worse, it took forever to get our drinks and even longer to get our food. We were waiting for over an hour before our food finally came out. And when it did, it was just not good. My dad ordered a classic hamburger and it was barely cooked at all. The fries were burnt to a crisp and so greasy that they could have powered a whole factory. I ordered the strawberry banana pancakes and they were just a mess. They were still runny when they came out and the bananas were rotten. It was just gross.
To top it all off, the drinks were not much better. My water had a weird brown color to it and my dad's soda had a bug in it. We asked for the burger to be cooked more, but when it came back out it was still undercooked. And to make matters even worse, we saw a dead rat in the kitchen. I don't know if it was supposed to be some kind of Halloween decoration or what, but it was just disgusting.
The staff were also really rude. We could hear them saying really mean things about my dad's weight and they didn't even try to be quiet about it. It was just really unprofessional and made us feel really uncomfortable.
Overall, I would not recommend this iHop to anyone. It's the one in Benson Plaza in Omaha, Nebraska and someone seriously needs to shut it down. It's amazing that they're still open with the way they're running things. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
Poor Service at IHOP Santa Ana on Edinger and Ritchy: A Review
I recently visited the IHOP located in Santa Ana on Edinger and Ritchy. Unfortunately, my experience was not the best due to the service provided by my waitress. When I arrived, I stood and waited for the female who walked up in front of me to notice me, but she didn't say anything. I had to ask her how long the wait was for a party of three. Eventually, I was seated and the waitress came quickly to get me something to drink. I informed her that the rest of my party would arrive in 10 minutes, but during my wait, she never came back to acknowledge me for anything. She served the rest of her tables and never once bothered to turn around and come to me to ask if I wanted to order or wait for my party.
I put my finished drink glass at the end of the table, but she never acknowledged that it was empty. I waited for about 25 minutes until I had to get her attention to inform her that I was ready to order. I also had to request another soda. When my meal arrived, I requested not to have any hash browns, but they were still in my meal. I don't know if that was the waitress's fault or the cook not reading the ticket.
To make matters worse, there was a shift change, and I was never informed of the change. As someone who has been a waitress for many years, I know the proper way to serve customers. Unfortunately, the way the waitress served me was not up to par. She was nice, but her customer service skills need a lot of work. Serving food from your arms is not a good or proper way of serving.
Overall, my experience at IHOP was not the best due to the poor service provided by my waitress. I hope that in the future, IHOP will train their staff better to ensure that all customers receive the best service possible.
Poor Customer Service and Refund Policy at IHOP: My Experience with a Breakfast Sampler Order
I went to IHOP on June 8 and ordered a breakfast sampler. I asked for it to be prepared a certain way, but unfortunately, when I received the food curbside, one part of the order was not prepared how I requested. The server had the cook remake what was incorrect, but after the second attempt, the food still didn't look good. The amount of grease the food was swimming in made my stomach turn. I requested a refund and was given a manager's personal number to call the next morning since there are no night managers at this location.
I called the number, but the voicemail had a different name, a guy's voicemail, and I wasn't sure if I had the right number, so I hung up and called the restaurant. I spoke with Sonya, who advised Theo, the manager, would call me back in 5 minutes since he was cooking. However, after 2 hours and no call, I called back 3 times, but no one answered. I decided to go to the store, but the manager never came out. Instead, a server named Vicky called Val, another manager. Val advised her to take a picture of my receipt to send to the owner to have him refund the money. That didn't sit right with me, so I called corporate, and they also advised this didn't sound right and opened a case.
I spoke with Val on 6/14, and she advised the owner wanted her to call to find out what happened so he could see if he would give a refund. I advised them that they had all of the information and all I needed was my money back since I returned the food to them the same day. As of today, I have not received a refund, and Val has not answered or returned any of my calls. My bank advised it only takes 5 business days on their end, and there are no pending transactions.
This is bad business and very poor customer service. I want my money back ASAP. Also, this management team, including the owner, needs to be trained on customer service, refund policies, and how to have good follow-through when working with customers. I hope they can improve their service and make things right for their customers in the future.
Disappointing Experience at iHop: Poor Service and Quality
I recently visited iHop and unfortunately, my experience was not great. I've been to iHop a few times over the past 40 years and each time, I am left with an unremarkable experience. I understand that iHop is a corporate chain, but I still expect a certain level of quality and service.
Firstly, I requested a quiet location to sit, but I was placed at a table in the center of the restaurant which became progressively louder as more people arrived. This made it difficult to enjoy my meal and have a conversation with my dining partner.
Secondly, the bathroom was not well-maintained and the toilet seat was detaching. It was not a pleasant experience to use the restroom.
Thirdly, there was no posted wifi password and because the restaurant was so loud, I could not accurately hear the staff when I asked for it.
Fourthly, there was no place to secure my bicycle, so I had to use unoccupied outside benches which made me feel uneasy.
Fifthly, I was not asked if I was a club member, which I found odd as most restaurants usually ask.
Sixthly, the menu options were not diverse and the options I wanted to customize were going to cost more than I wanted to pay.
Seventhly, the meal lacked flavor. The water had more taste than the sandwich and all I could detect was the American cheese. The bread looked nice, but it was not enough to make up for the lack of flavor in the sandwich.
Eighthly, the pepper shakers were plugged and the pepper was coarser than the openings in the top. I had to unscrew the top to be able to add it to my meal.
Ninthly, the sides and add-ins were scant and paltry. For an extra dollar, I got a tablespoon of mushrooms added to my sandwich, but the onions and mushrooms were only sufficient to be symbolic. I think there was meat in the sandwich, but it was hard to tell. The hash-browns were as thin as a veneer, barely browned and smaller than the bread.
Tenthly, the onion rings were low flavor, undercooked and had a pasty texture and flour flavor. I only ate one.
Eleventhly, the waitress did not ask me about the onion rings when she cleared the table, which I found odd.
Twelfthly, the register receipts printed poorly and were difficult to read. The paper faded quickly and showed stains prominently.
Lastly, the waitress did not respond when I bid her good evening, which I found rude.
Overall, my experience at iHop was not great. There were many issues that I encountered during my visit and I did not have enough time or space to list them all. I hope that iHop can improve their quality and service in the future.
IHOP: A Nightmare Experience - Slip and Fall Injury, No Responsibility Taken, and No Compensation Given
IHOP is a restaurant that I would not recommend to anyone. My experience there was terrible, and I wish I could give them a rating of minus zero. If you think IHOP stands for International House of Pancakes, you would be wrong. It really stands for I Have One Purpose, and that is to make money. My husband and I went there for a meal, and it turned out to be a nightmare.
As we were finishing our cold meal, we noticed a waitress cleaning the floor near our booth with a little dustpan and brush. We decided to let her pass before we got up to leave. My husband went to pay the bill, and I stood up along the side of the table to wait for him. When I switched from one leg to the other, my foot slipped on some sticky or gooey substance on the floor, and I lost my balance and fell straight back. In the process, my back hit directly on the floor, and my head bounced off of the iron legs of the table next to our booth.
I was screaming in pain, and everyone came running, including my husband. A waitress called an ambulance, and they took me to the Trauma Center. I was in and out of consciousness from that point until 2 days later waking up in the hospital. I sustained 2 concussions and a fractured back. This happened in July of 2018, and I am still in pain every single day!
A week later, upon returning home, I contacted IHOP Corporate Office to find out how to open a claim and the correct mailing address. The representative who answered the phone was very sympathetic and told me to send the report and all my information, and they would handle it. A couple of weeks later, I called to ask the status of my claim. I was told that IHOP is not responsible for my case because their "investigator" said I lost my balance. That seems to prove my case... exactly! I slipped on some sticky residue and lost my balance!
When I called an attorney, I found out that in this great State of North Carolina, the government is on the side of "Big Business." The injured party has to prove their case. Excuse me! While I was on the floor screaming in pain, I did not think about whipping out my cell phone to take a picture of the slop that caused me to fall! On any given day, you will find syrup, eggs, butter, cream, jam (and who knows what else?) on the floor of the IHOP in Shelby. There are plenty of other places to eat in Shelby, NC.
So, I am asking anyone who has had a similar experience to please post a review. No one else needs to suffer continuously for months like I have. The manager at IHOP did not even have the decency to comp our meal! My husband paid for it as the ambulance was rushing me to the hospital. It is a shame that IHOP cares more about making money than the safety and well-being of their customers.

You must have a heart of rock if you were willing to allow your wife to use a dirty washroom. Maybe you wanted her to get sick or hurt so you can sue because you want money. You had one bad experience in years and you won't be back. YOU WON'T BE MiSSED.
If you went there 2 or three times week would you not know where the washrooms are?
Read my comments we just needed to be closed
If it was closed nothing they can do about it.
If it is closed for cleaning there is not much they can do about it. Would you want your wife to go to a dirty washroom? If she got injured you would probably sue. You won't be missed if you let one bad incident stop you from returning. One in what thousands? You have a heart like rock, if you were willing to allow your wife to go to a dirty washroom. Maybe you wanted her to get hurt or sick so you an sue and get money because you care more about money than her.

Service with the host
I visited the store to dine with my husband, and the service was excellent. Our server, Marie, was outstanding with the food order, service, and customer interaction, to the extent that I feel she deserves a raise or promotion. However, I had an issue with the hostess, whose name I can't recall, but she was an African lady from somewhere in Africa...

Saturday my friend and I went to the Zions Cross Roads for lunch/dinner. I put the buy one meal get one free coupon on the table where the waitress saw it. She said she would take care of the coupon after we ate. After we ate she tells us that they are not accepting the coupons anymore. We had to pay the whole bill. I said why didn't you tell us that before we ordered. She did not have anything to say. We rediscovered IHOPS a few weeks ago and enjoyed the new food recipes. We knew that the coupons would run out soon, but the coupon had a good date until August. I believe she should of told us they were not accepting these coupons anymore before we ordered. So I think my friend and I deserve free dinners at the least. My phone number is [protected]. My address is 31 Cosner Rd. Louisa, Virginia 23093.
Claimed loss: We paid 39.00 dollars for the dinners.
Desired outcome: We would like a free meal for two or a refund.

This location needs a lot of help ! The wait was very long because all of the staff was out back doing who knows what . The restaurant is not clean and not a manager on duty . Went to I Hop in North Dartmouth with my 3 yr. old grandson who has allergies to gluten and dairy and was told that there was nothing they could provide him. I asked if they could grill a hamburger wrapped in aluminum foil to avoid cross contamination and was told they had no aluminum foil. I asked if they could microwave a hot dog. They do not sell hot dogs. Was told that they would have to shut down the grill to clean it to grill the hamburger and of course, that was not possible. Extremely disappointed and can you imagine how my 3 yr. old felt.
I guess I Hop does not cater to kids with allergies. Discrimination!

Management at the 3020 Tulare Street location in Fresno are horrible. They mistreat their employees. They humiliate them and trash them they do not provide team work. I witness 2 a district manager and a shift leader supervisor of which I have witnessed before slander, cussing, and hitting of the employee. This is management hitting a male server. Now I am witnessing management yell cuss and humiliate a young female by the name of Jennifer. Management like this should not be in customer service these ladies need to be terminated.

I am a military veteran, senior citizen, and my wife and guest are also senior citizens with eight daughters between them and no sons. My wife also has 11 granddaughters. The female server accused my wife of making fun of her pregnancy after our guest told the waitress that her service was poor. A senior citizen is likely to give feedback in the effort to...

I was at the Wallingford CT IHOP on 12/7 for breakfast with two other people. I wanted to use my pan points as well as one other person and was told no, only one per table, which we were fine with. I used mine. When the bill came, they split "my" pan points with the other two people, so my meal (or part of it) was not fully redeemed. This was unfair to me...

The waiter with short dark hair asked me how I was doing while I was eating my meal. I said that "you do not have to shout loud enough for the customers in the next row to hear." the lady hostess /greeter with the red hair kept looking/staring at me as if she was trying to make me feel that I was not welcomed there.

Location: New Westminster, BC Wow... and not in a good way unfortunately! Go there to satisfy your curiosity maybe. One of the 2 female servers who works closing shifts, saw me walk in at around 8:30 pm when they close at 10 pm. She gave me a belittling smile while saying, "Oh god... you gotta be out of here by 9:30" and then she turned around. I replied...
