I called yesterday to the Luray, VA Walmart utilizing your automated Telephony system (8/10/2023 roughly around 5PM). I was told that my order would be ready for pickup. at 8PM. I rode a bike to the CVS only to be told they nothing about the refill.
I came back home and called your telephony system again; it stated my RX would be ready today (8/11/2023) at 11:00AM. I was driven to the store to again not receive the RX.
A nice lady at another counter looked into the issue.
The issue was my insurance will not refill the RX until 8/15/2023.
I am a retired IT Director. I wrote several telephony systems and payment through phone,
This whole incident could be resolved by CVS coding their telephony system to not blindly state the RX will be ready at time of and date of X and Y without taking into account the insurance date.
I wasted valuable time for CVS shortcoming with respect to a simple coding construct that I know is viable.
What should have happened is being told my RX would be available for pickup based on the viable insurance date.
Feel free to call me to articulate further how you can make your telephony system more reliable.
I should get a decent sized gift card for even suggesting updating your system in order to better serve your customers.

Backorder/Delay on Ozempic
I understand my diabetes medication is having a nationwide shortage; however, my CVS pharmacy has no tentative date on when it will be available, nor has anyone made an attempt to contact the manufacturer to expedite or obtain an ETA. I called the CVS corporate office as well and they brushed me off to another phone number with the same flaccid results.
Is there any employee within the entire CVS conglomerate that is attempting to expedite this matter and inform the other chains of any updates? Your diabetic customers need to know before they must make the move to switch to a new medication, because our system needs time to adjust.
Desired outcome: I'd like an ETA for my prescription. The manufacturers should have a date when their stock will be released, and CVS should contact them for a viable ETA.

I expect a drugstore to have all of my prescriptions at least for one month. That would be fabulous! Every month there is at least one prescription I have to wait at least a week for. This month it was three. All three have to be taken daily! This Pharmacy does not care. They can get your money from someone else it doesn't matter whether you die or not.
High value coupons are difficult or impossible to redeem
Every month or so, CVS sends a coupon for 25% off your total order and every time I use it I run into problems. It won't scan at the self-scan machine (says the salesperson, "Oh those don't work there. My name is Katina Bryant and I am filing this complaint because I am being charged $5 a month for a service that I cannot use.
I went to CVS on 8/1/2023 and wanted to use my CVS credit. At that time the cashier stated that she does not see my information in the system. Then I said ok just use my coupon that I just received from the pharmacy; she stated I could not use that either. She suggested that I call to get this situation straight.
I called customer service and spoke with a representative on 8/3/2023 @3:40pm asking for a refund. At that time, I was told that my account has been closed since May 2023. So, I asked why I could not cancel and get a refund and she stated that my account is closed. I am still being charged on a closed account. I checked my bank statement today and is being charged $5 again. I gave her my card information and account number. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she stated they are all in a meeting so I should call back and go online to update my information. My question is why should I have to update my information if my account is closed and why I can't be refunded for these charges?

I am not going to say whether I spoke to a man or woman because I am not complaining to get someone fired. I just want to be spoken to politely and not a bother. I called because my PC sent a refill for my prescription in. I called because it had not been filled. It evidently is on backorder. I called to ask if they had any idea when it may be in. I was told rudely "no idea when its in we will fill it." It wasn't the content it was the attitude. I realize everyone is very busy and I didn't mean to bother anyone but it is not the first time I have felt this way. The techs dont like to wait on customers picking up prescriptions and it is very obvious at times. These are our medications so all I am asking is just be nice. This is my 2nd time going to CVS in Cedar Hill Texas to have my prescription filled and the messed up the doctors instructions for the same prescription. It happened three months ago on the same prescription and each time the individual that was assisting me was rude and nasty!
They want to talk to you like your an idiot and the part that really annoys me is that the prescription I get every three months and have for at least three years is for Albuterol Sulfate HFA Inhalation Aerosol, I get 2 inhalers per month for 3 months. Last month the prescription was messed up and it took me three weeks to get it fixed. When this happens it costs me more money because they charge me twice for the same prescription. The missing inhalers cost me twice it would cost me if I receive them all at the same time.

I went to the CVS Pharmacy within Target at 1 Mifflin Street in Philadelphia, PA on Friday, 7/28/23 around 3pm as my prescriptions were due to be ready for pickup at 2pm. I was picking up two epinephrine pens and seizure medication for my four year old daughter. Upon arriving at the pharmacy I learned that it was closed "because the pharmacist never showed up and the backup pharmacist apparently got into an accident."
I called customer service and spoke to two different representatives. The first individual I spoke with was incredibly rude and continuously interrupted me or cut me off mid-sentence. He offered no solution and transferred me to his superior. The woman I then spoke with did much of the same thing: she did not offer any solution and continuously spoke over me rather than listening to my concerns.
It is unethical to close a pharmacy without notice and without a backup place to open during scheduled hours when people are in need of life-sustaining and life-saving medications. If a physician is unable to make it to the hospital, they certainly do not close the hospital - they have a backup plan in place and emergency coverage in place. It is absolutely unacceptable and unethical to prevent people from getting medications that is pertinent to their health and well-being when they need it and are scheduled to have it.
Further, I was told that the medications would be available for pickup when the pharmacy reopened, although a date or time for reopening was unknown. I returned to the pharmacy on Saturday, 7/29/23. The pharmacy was open, but the seizure medication was not available - the supervisor who was the second person I spoke with on Friday sent the prescription to a different pharmacy without my knowledge or permission. The pharmacy that was supposed to have it only had enough for a three day supply so now I am still waiting for the full prescription to be filled three days later. Lastly, when I asked the pharmacist about the unexpected closure on Friday, he immediately lost his cool by raising his voice and telling me that he's "had a few rough days and they continue to be rough so I will probably close the pharmacy again and no one will be able to get their medication."
Desired outcome: Leadership team to create a comprehensive plan for coverage to keep the it open during all scheduled hours.

I placed an order on March 5, 2023, but the order was cancelled due to a system error. I immediately contacted CVS for a resolution and was transferred to 3 different departments with no resolution. I was told that a representative would research the incident and get back to me. I received a call back almost a week later and was advised that an incident would be opened and a refund request. After several weeks of not receiving the refund, I called again only to be bounced from department to department. Then I decided to submit an email inquiry on April 29, 2023. I received a response to the inquiry confirming that the issue was resolved and a refund was issued. The email advised that it would take several days for the refund to be returned to the gift card. As of July 26, 2023 I still have not received the refund. I have called numerous times of the last several months but the employees have not been able to assist me. Today, I spoke with 3 different employees in customer care, the gift card customer service and the refund department but none of them were knowledgeable enough to provide a resolution. The last representative in the cvs.com department told me that "there was nothing she could do because it had been too long since I placed my order. This is both disappointing and frustrating. My customer service experience with CVS has been extremely poor.
Desired outcome: Refund of $31 to gift card and a formal apology
