I was getting my second shingles immunization in the little room that is provided at CVS on Thatcher road. The pharmacist was excellent actually a pain-free shot. The room however was filthy. Trash was feeling onto the floor the white table hadn't been washed for a very long time and she couldn't find Band-Aids were suitable for somebody who is allergic to adhesive. She put some cotton balls on the dirty table but didn't use them. It might be that I mentioned how filthy the table was. I know that the pharmacist performing surgery but I think the CVS should pay better attention to keeping that area clean.
Desired outcome: That the room gets cleaned regularly.
CVS - The automated phone system for prescription refills
I received an automated phone call on August 5th telling me that my prescription refill was ready for pick up. When I went to the pharmacy on August 9, they said that they had no prescription for me. I told them that I received a phone call saying the prescription was ready. They said that it happens frequently that customers get called to pick up prescriptions but the pharmacy does not get notified that there is a prescription. I asked them how long this has been a problem. They couldn't say how long but noticed that it happens frequently.
I don't know why staff does not escalate a frequently recurring system problem. I see that as your second problem.
Desired outcome: Please make technology aware of the system problem so that they have the system call the customer after they have notified the pharmacy and after the pharmacy has updated the system that the prescription is actually ready.
