Vacations To Go Disastrous Experience with Vacations To Go: A Warning to Others

I recently had an experience with Vacations To Go that left me feeling extremely disappointed. My spouse and I were planning to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with a cruise out of Charleston. We had been considering different options for a while, and eventually decided to book with Vacations To Go. However, our experience with them was far from satisfactory.

Firstly, we were constantly harassed by a representative named Leslie Wright. She would call us at dinner time every day, trying to convince us to book with Vacations To Go. While we appreciated her enthusiasm, it became quite annoying after a while.

Despite this, we decided to go ahead with the booking. We drove for four hours to reach the port, paid $90 to park our car for a week, and boarded the ship. However, once we were on board, we were told that our cruise had never been booked for us. We had all the right paperwork, but the cruise line refused to let us stay. We were kicked off the ship, and to make matters worse, our luggage was lost.

This was supposed to be a special trip for us, but instead, it turned into a nightmare. Our expensive wedding gift was lost with our luggage, and we were left with no reservations, no clothes, and no anniversary gifts. Instead of enjoying the Bahamas, we were stuck in cold Charleston.

To add insult to injury, the manager at Vacations To Go was extremely rude to us. He told us that he could only book us a later cruise, and that it would be more expensive. We were shocked at his lack of empathy and understanding. These people had been calling us every day, harassing us to book with them, but when it came to actually booking the cruise, they couldn't get it right.

Overall, I would strongly advise against booking with Vacations To Go or Leslie Wright. Our experience with them was a complete disaster, and we would never want anyone else to go through what we did.

Vacations To Go Disappointing Experience with Vacations To Go: Lack of Communication and Care

I wouldn't recommend Vacations To Go. It was a stressful experience and a waste of time. They took my reservation but made a mistake and left me to fix it. I recently went on a cruise with 32 people, and they put my husband and child in a different dining time. They didn't do anything about it, and we had to spend the first few hours onboard trying to fix the problem. The worst part is that I only found out from my aunt and not the travel agent. I received no communication from VTG, even when they promised to update me. There was no follow-up after either, making sure everything turned out okay. They washed their hands clean of us. Despite booking for 32 people, we didn't receive any compensation or treat for the troubles.

Moreover, I had requested large tables for our group, but they didn't put in the request despite six emails asking them to do so. The agent's response was just to be patient, but she never did anything. Royal Caribbean had not received any requests, and we had to spend the first night in the dining room rearranging tables to fit us all. Vacations to Go showed a complete lack of care and just wanted our money. I think it's better to book with someone else.

Vacations To Go Unreliable Service from Vacations to Go: My Experience with a Travel Adviser

I've been using Vacations to Go for a while now, but I'm starting to have some doubts. I mean, you know what they say: "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." Recently, I've been working with an agent who usually provides good service to my younger family members. They have a lot more money than I do, so they can afford the high-priced options that I can't. But now, it seems like it's almost impossible to get in touch with my travel adviser. And when I do finally hear from her, she always has some long sob story about her personal family illnesses and other problems. I mean, I'm sympathetic and all, but I just want to know if I can get a good deal on a cruise!

Twice this year, I missed out on some really great fares because my adviser didn't contact the cruise line for several days. And then, when I asked her about it, she straight-up lied to me! I mean, come on. That's just not cool. One time, I even tried to talk to a "manager" about it, but he just told me that his job wasn't to interfere with advisers. What kind of customer service is that?

Honestly, I'm starting to think that when COVID is under control and we can all cruise again, I might just go directly to the cruise line. I know that can be a nightmare in itself, but at least I won't have to deal with unreliable information from my travel adviser. Or maybe I'll try to find a "bucket shop" that I can trust. Either way, I'm not sure if I can keep using Vacations to Go if this is the kind of service I can expect.

Vacations To Go Cautionary Review: Vacations To Go's Declining Service and Inflated Prices

On the seventh of December in the year 2022, I reached out to Vacations To Go (VTG) to inquire about the price of a balcony cabin on Royal Caribbean International (RCL) departing on the sixth of March in the year 2023. An agent by the name of Ms. Caroline V... provided me with a quote of $934.00 for the cruise, which included a balcony cabin.

I then requested Ms. V... to provide me with a list of available cabins. In response, she sent me a quote for $1889.90 for the same cruise, date, and cabin. This was an increase of $955.90 from her previous quote, and she did not provide any explanation for the increase.

Upon comparing Ms. V...'s quote of $1889.90 to a quote I received directly from RCL, I discovered that the price was $672.00 less than the price furnished by VTG.

As someone who has been on double-digit cruises with my wife, it is clear to us that the quality of service provided by VTG has declined over the past few years.

In conclusion, I would advise anyone considering a cruise to be cautious when dealing with VTG. At the very least, I recommend requesting a quote from the cruise line of interest prior to contacting VTG. This will ensure that you are aware of the prices and can avoid any problems that may arise from dealing with an unqualified agent.

Vacations To Go Unprofessional and Dishonest: My Terrible Experience with Vacations to Go

I had a really bad experience with Vacations to Go. I've used their service before for several cruises, but this time they were very unprofessional and dishonest.

My wife and I were really excited to travel from Venice to the Greek islands on a 7-day cruise on July 24th, 2021. We chose this cruise because it included Santorini, a place my wife has always wanted to visit. However, when I logged into the cruise line's website, I realized that the itinerary was totally different and didn't include Santorini at all. When I contacted the "Vacations to Go" agent, he only told me that in these times it was normal for cruise lines to change their itinerary, but that the good news was that I was going to have a better cabin.

After two days, I received an email stating that this cruise was not accepting travelers from the United States. When I checked the cruise line's website again, it said very clearly that after July 31, 2021, they might start to receive passengers from the United States. It was obvious that these restrictions were already in place by the cruise line, but "Vacations to Go" was still taking reservations. When I contacted the agent at "Vacations to Go," he suggested that I should cancel and that I would have a refund in 60 days.

It was so easy for "Vacations to Go" to just cancel and leave me to deal with the international flights, hotel reservations, train tickets, and tours. It was really frustrating and disappointing. I would suggest that you never use "Vacations to Go" because of my bad experience.

Vacations To Go Terrible Customer Service: My Disappointing Experience with Vacations To Go

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Vacations To Go. The customer service was just terrible! My friend and I were thinking about booking a cruise with them, but after trying to get some information from their agents, we quickly changed our minds.

We had to call them FIVE times just to get some basic details about the cruise we were interested in. And get this - THREE of those times, we were given completely different quotes for the exact same cruise! It was like they had no idea what they were doing. And to make matters worse, they didn't even bother to reply to us twice.

Honestly, I don't think they have any standards when it comes to customer service. It's like all they care about is making a sale, and if you're not ready to book right away, they don't want to deal with you.

And don't even get me started on the so-called "Customer Care Manager" and the CEO. When we had an issue, they both reached out to us, but it was a total joke. The manager didn't even know which cruise line we were talking about, and the CEO tried to tell us that they never received our email (even though we got an auto-reply saying they did). It was just a mess.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend booking anything with Vacations To Go. There are plenty of other options out there, like Cruisedirect and Expedia, that let you see all the pricing information in real time and don't make you jump through hoops just to get some basic details. Save yourself the headache and go with someone else.

Vacations To Go Vacations To Go: Not Reliable in Emergencies - A Disappointing Experience

Me and my hubby went on a cruise to Alaska that was booked through Vacations To Go. We were so excited to go on this trip and see all the beautiful sights that Alaska had to offer. We decided to book our flight with them too because we thought it would be easier to have everything in one place. We live in Charleston, SC and had to travel all the way to Seattle, WA to board the cruise ship. It was a long journey but we were so excited to finally be on vacation.

However, things took a turn for the worse when we were at sea and learned about Hurricane Dorian. We were so worried about how we were going to get back home and prepare for the hurricane. We didn't have any cell service or internet on the ship, so we had to use the ship's phone to call Vacations To Go. The lady who booked our stuff wasn't there, so we were transferred to a supervisor. We explained the situation and that we needed an early flight back to get home and prepare for the hurricane. We were shocked when he told us that we would have to pay an extra $800.00 each to change our flights. He didn't seem to care about our situation and was actually annoyed with us. We were so upset and worried about what we were going to do.

We had a sleepless night worrying about how we were going to get home. When we finally got off the ship, we went straight to the airport. We were so relieved when American Airlines went out of their way to help us. They didn't charge us anything and were so kind to us. We were so grateful to them because all the airports in Florida were closed to incoming flights on Thursday afternoon. We wouldn't have been able to get home if it wasn't for them.

We were so disappointed with Vacations To Go. We thought they would be there for us in case of an emergency, but they weren't. We wouldn't use them again and would recommend that others don't either. When you're traveling, you need someone you can count on in case of an emergency.

Vacations To Go Vacations to Go Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Mistakes Cost Me My Dream Trip

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Vacations to Go. I waited a while before writing this review, hoping that something would change and I could have a happy ending to my story, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

My buddies were planning a trip on an NCL cruise departing from Copenhagen this summer and they invited me to come along. I was stoked to find out that Vacations to Go had the sailing available at a great price, so I called them up right away.

The Vacations to Go representative who answered my call was super helpful and friendly, just like the ones I've dealt with in the past. After we worked out all the details, I booked the trip and was all set to go.

But then, a few days before the trip, I took a closer look at my confirmation details, which were electronically signed by the VTG rep and CEO Alan Fox. That's when I noticed that the departure date listed on the NCL site was different from the one that Vacations to Go had confirmed with me. I was lucky to catch it when I did, because if I hadn't, I would have shown up on the wrong day!

I called my rep right away and he tried to sort things out with NCL and his manager. But it turned out that he had made a huge mistake and the sailing I was confirmed for was sold out. There was nothing he could do to fix it. This set off a whole chain of events in my life, from having to explain the situation to my boss and my significant other to dealing with the cost of changing my airfare.

After all that, I sent a letter to CEO Alan Fox, hoping for some kind of response that would make things right. But all I got was a call from a manager offering me a measly 10% discount on another trip. I mean, come on! That's not even close to what I was hoping for. I wanted them to ask me what they could do to make me happy, but that never happened.

To make matters worse, when my friends came back from the cruise, they told me that there were empty cabins on the ship. NCL had undersold the cruise, which meant that I could have gone if Vacations to Go had done their job properly.

Look, I know that Vacations to Go is supposed to be a top-notch operation, but my experience was anything but. I was really disappointed with the customer service I received and I won't be going back. It's not enough to just be friendly and well-intentioned; you have to get the details right if you want to keep your customers happy.

Vacations To Go Vacations To Go Excursions: A Total Rip Off in Alaska

I just gotta say, I gotta get this off my chest. I booked three excursions with Vacations To Go on my recent Alaskan Cruise and let me tell you, I was so disappointed and disgusted with what I got. I mean, what a rip off! Let me break it down for you.

First up, the Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake for $230.00 USD. We were dropped off at the parking lot and told to come back in an hour and a half. We walked over a mile to see the Glacier and falls and then returned to the bus. Then we were dropped off at the Salmon Bake parking lot and told we were supposed to be introduced by the staff on the bus before we could eat. What a joke! We paid $230.00 USD to be driven around for 15 minutes and then have a $30.00 meal. We could have taken public transit and paid $40.00 to eat. Total rip off.

Next, the Skagway City and White Pass Summit for $100.00 USD. We waited for 35 minutes and then travelled for an hour in complete rain and fog to the summit of the pass and then turned around and came back in rain and fog. No stops, no sightseeing, nothing. We saw rock and trees. We could have stayed on the ship and seen the same thing. Waste of time and money.

Last but not least, the Sax man Native Village and Ketchikan City Tour for $118.00 USD. We were taken to a building where a lady talked for a few minutes on totem poles. Then we were taken to an open area beside the road and looked at the ocean. From there we went to the company parking lot and looked at more ocean and then walked down a muddy road to look at a slow moving creek. The driver kept talking about wildlife and kept warning us about bears. We saw nothing. Then we were taken to the Saxman Village, but were told we were not allowed in it or to actually visit the village. We walked on a public street and were shown some totem poles in a public area. No actual visit to the village, no actual totem pole demonstrations. Waste of time and money.

All in all, we paid $448.00 USD for maybe $80.00 value. I have travelled a lot in many countries and on many excursions but never have I been so defrauded and ripped off. I will never use Vacations to Go again and I will warn everybody I know to never use them or their excursion service. What they do is probably illegal and should be reported. Shame on them for treating people so badly.

Vacations To Go Disappointing Experience with Vacations To Go: Misleading Information, Poor Customer Service, and Decaying Rooms

Vacations To Go is a travel company that offers vacation packages to various destinations. My experience with them was not the best. I was told by Stetson Ariola that I could buy protection in case I had to protect the trip. Unfortunately, I had to postpone my trip due to my daughter's expired passport. I had to pay a fee on top of the difference, and my trip that was supposed to start in August ended up costing me $5500 in March. Stetson was not happy about changing the vacation to another date, and he also told me that only the most expensive room had internet. However, when I checked another vacation site, I found out that even the cheap rooms had internet.

In December, I was paralyzed and had to use an elderly scooter to get around. I informed Stetson immediately, and he said he would tell transportation and let me know. However, he only called me two days before the trip to tell me that the transaction was $195 on top of the $140 I already paid, and I had to pay it. When it was time to leave, our plane was late, and I had to call Stetson to tell the transport to wait for us. Unfortunately, he was on vacation, so I had to talk to someone else who promised to reach out to them to tell them to wait. However, they didn't, and we were left at the airport without a car. I had to rent a van for $140, which was not the $195 I paid for it, but I guess $55 was for Vacations To Go to make money.

When we arrived at the resort, they didn't greet us with a cocktail as promised, but that didn't bother me since I couldn't drink alcohol. However, the room was in decay, and it looked like they hadn't renovated it since they opened. There was rust everywhere, broken parts, and broken bulbs. I went immediately to the reception, and they promised to fix everything. They did, but it took three days of constant complaining. I was frustrated because I was working with Wifi, and I couldn't do my job, which caused me to lose a lot of money.

Carley contacted me and apologized, but she had no control over the resort. She suggested that I go to the concierge to complain, but I had already done that, so she had no other suggestions. She was nice, and finally, someone emailed me to see how my vacation was going. When we went back home, Carley promised me a refund if I could show them a receipt of the $140. I emailed it immediately, but she disappeared. After about three months, Alan Fox, the Executive Chairman of Vacations To Go, sent me an email saying that Carley was no longer working for them.

After a few weeks, I received a $175 credit from American Airlines, but it had restrictions. I could only use it within a year, and it could only be used on airplane tickets. It could not be combined with the value of an existing ticket to pay for a new ticket. Since I discovered that Vacations To Go was not as cheap as other companies, I didn't pay attention to it, and I had no intention of using it. When I contacted Alan Fox asking for the $140 refund, he said that their policy doesn't allow them to give refunds but only credit, and the $175 airline credit was my refund. This was the same airline that didn't charge me for the scooter.

I'm upset about my experience with Vacations To Go. I recommend shopping around before buying a vacation package with this company. I can guarantee that the first site you look at with the same resort, same airplane, and same transportation is at least $200 cheaper than Vacations To Go.

Vacations To Go Misleading Information from Vacations To Go Caused Disappointment and Frustration for My Grandson and Me

So, I decided to book a cruise with Vacations To Go for me and my grandson. They told me that all I needed to bring for my grandson was his birth certificate and a signed letter from his parent. But when we got to the ship, we were told that we couldn't board without a passport for my grandson. I was so disappointed! I had already lost vacation time and travel time, and my grandson was really looking forward to the cruise. It was a big letdown for both of us.

Vacations To Go Disappointed with Vacations To Go's Customer Service: Price Hike After Booking

So, I gotta say, I booked three cruises with Vacations To Go back in February for December. It was all good, you know? But then, just two days ago, I called up my agent to get a price for a cruise in May. She gave me the price and I was like, "Cool, let's book it." But then she said she had to do something else and would call me back in 10 minutes. Well, 20 minutes later she finally called back and said the price had gone up by $140! Can you believe that? I was like, "No way, Jose."

Now, me and my family, we cruise a lot. And I gotta say, I'm not sure if I wanna book with Vacations To Go again after this. I mean, what kind of customer service is that? You give me a price and then jack it up 20 minutes later? That's just not cool, man. So, I don't know. Maybe I'll give them another chance, but I'm definitely gonna be more cautious next time. Thanks for listening.

Vacations To Go Booking a Cruise with Vacations To Go: Why Dealing Directly with Cruise Lines is the Way to Go

So, I went ahead and booked a cruise with Vacations To Go (vacationstogo.com) and boy was I excited! I paid for my MSC cruise and eagerly awaited my departure date. However, two weeks later, I noticed that the price of my cabin had gone down by over $1,000. I was a bit miffed, to say the least. I mean, who wouldn't be? That's a lot of money!

So, I contacted VTG and requested an adjustment in price or a shipboard credit to make up for the difference. But, to my dismay, they told me that MSC would not allow the price change. I was pretty upset about this and decided to take matters into my own hands. I called MSC directly and asked them about the situation. To my surprise, they told me that the price adjustment was up to the booking agent and that if I had booked directly with MSC, they would have honored the current price.

Well, that was a real bummer. I mean, I had trusted VTG to handle my booking and now I felt like I had been let down. It's not like I had done anything wrong, right? I had simply booked my cruise through an intermediary, which I thought was a good idea at the time. But now, I was starting to think that maybe it wasn't such a great idea after all.

So, what's the bottom line here? Well, I think it's pretty clear. When booking a cruise, it's always best to deal directly with the cruise line. Agents like VTG are just useless intermediaries who can't really do anything to help you out. Sure, they might be able to offer you some advice or answer some questions, but when it comes down to it, they're not the ones who can make any real changes or adjustments to your booking.

In conclusion, I would say that my experience with VTG was less than satisfactory. I was disappointed that they couldn't help me out when I needed it most. But, I guess that's just the way things go sometimes. So, if you're thinking about booking a cruise, my advice would be to skip the middleman and go straight to the source. Trust me, you'll be glad you did!

Vacations To Go Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Vacations To Go and Cruise Counsellor Ben Curran

I had a pretty bad experience with Vacations To Go, specifically with my cruise counsellor, Ben Curran. I asked him to cancel my cruise months ago, but he still hasn't done it yet. This is causing me a lot of worry because I might have to pay more than the MSC cancellation policy says due to the date I cancelled it, which was 90 days prior to departure. And now, the departure is in a little more than one week!

During those 90 days, I wrote him emails again and again, but he didn't answer any of them. I have to say, I feel a little ignored. It's pretty annoying that I can't reach him and no one seems to feel in charge of my case. It's really expensive and the customer care is not good at all.

I hope that someone from Vacations To Go will read this review and take action to improve their customer service. It's important to have someone who is responsible for each case and to respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner. I would not recommend Vacations To Go to anyone based on my experience.

Vacations To Go Disappointing Experience with Vacations To Go: Refund Promise Not Kept

I had a bit of a rough experience with Vacations To Go (vacationstogo.com) recently. I had booked a cruise, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. I was told that I would be receiving a refund for the money I had paid, which was a relief. However, when I called back two weeks later to check on the status of my refund, I was informed that my agent had been let go and my paperwork had not been processed. Instead of a refund, I was offered cruise credit.

I was frustrated and disappointed, especially since I had both a recorded phone call and an email confirming that I would be receiving a refund. I spoke with a new agent, Willie Hayes, but unfortunately he was not able to help me out. I felt like I was getting the runaround and that my concerns were not being taken seriously.

I want to warn others about my experience so that they don't make the same mistake I did. Even if Vacations To Go responds to this review with some "complete made up story," please don't believe them. I wish I had gone with a different company for my vacation planning.

Vacations To Go Disappointing Experience with Vacations To Go: Failed Refund Request and Lack of Communication

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Vacations To Go (vacationstogo.com). I mean, I booked a cruise with them back in January 2020 for a September 6th departure date. But then, as we all know, the Coronavirus hit and my husband and I decided it was best to cancel our trip.

Now, I gotta give credit where credit is due - Matthew Scharff did send me an email about the refund for the cruise, which we did receive. But then he went and told me that he requested a refund from Generali travel insurance. So, I waited a month and called Generali to check on the status of the refund. And what do you know? They said they never received a request from him!

So, I sent Matthew not one, not two, but THREE emails asking him what was up with that. Did he really send the request or was he just blowing smoke? But did he ever respond to me? Nope. Not a peep.

And that's why I'm never using VTG again. I mean, if they can't even handle a simple travel insurance refund, how can I trust them with anything else? It's a shame, really, because I had heard good things about them before. But actions speak louder than words, and their actions have left a bad taste in my mouth.

Vacations To Go Vacations To Go & Generali Global: A Disappointing Experience with Travel Insurance

I recently booked a Celebrity Cruise through Vacations to Go and I have to say, they were pretty helpful up until the point where they collected my money. They strongly suggested that we purchase "travel insurance" through Generali Global for some extra cash. I mean, nobody ever expects the unexpected, but it happened to us and we were unable to cruise. Unfortunately, Vacations To Go was ZERO help. They told us not to bother filing a claim because it would not be approved. And guess what? They were right. We bought insurance, but Generali [SCAM] promptly denied the claim with no details as to why? You can only contact Generali via email, so there is ZERO support or communication!

In summary, I would advise you to book directly with the cruise line and their own insurance. Vacations To Go was horrible and Generali was worse. I would NOT advise either! It's really frustrating when you spend your hard-earned money on something and then you don't get the support you need when things go wrong. I hope this review helps someone else avoid the same mistake.

Vacations To Go Avoid Vacations To Go: My Terrible Experience with this Company

Vacations To Go is not a good choice for booking your next vacation. I had a terrible experience with them. I spent over 5,000 dollars to book three cabins for my family's cruise. Unfortunately, I had to make some changes to my booking more than 15 days before the cruise, and that's when everything went wrong.

Vacations To Go took away my large ocean view room and crammed four people into a room with no windows. They also took over 1,400 dollars from me, which was a huge blow to my budget. I was promised that my complaint would be investigated, but the owner had the supervisor call me to say that I should have understood the changes. This was very frustrating and disappointing.

To make matters worse, they made me pay for my son twice because he moved from one room to another that was already paid for. This was a clear case of double-charging, and it was unacceptable. I felt like they didn't care about working-class people like me.

I'm not the only one who had a bad experience with Vacations To Go. I'm looking for others who had the same problem or any problems with this company. Together, we can focus on changing policies or looking more into this company. I'm traveling on May 21 and will be looking for others to help me in this fight.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against booking with Vacations To Go. They don't care about their customers, and they will take advantage of you if they can. Save yourself the trouble and book with a different company.

Vacations To Go Disappointing Concierge Services and Refund Experience with Vacations to Go

We recently decided to book a European trip through the vacations to go website. We were excited to also book personalized concierge services to make our trip even more special. However, we were disappointed with the services provided by the third party that vacations to go uses for their concierge services. It was a real letdown and we won't be booking any more cruises through vacations to go.

Normally, we book 3-5 cruises a year through vacations to go, but this experience has left us feeling unsatisfied. Unfortunately, our trip was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We have been having trouble getting our money back from the personalized services we booked through vacations to go. We have contacted them several times and each time they told us the check was in the mail. It has now been three months and we still haven't received any such refund. To make matters worse, we were told that $100.00 dollars per person would be deducted for an administrative fee.

We are extremely disappointed with the way vacations to go has handled this situation. We feel like we have been taken advantage of and will never book a trip through them again. Instead, we will be booking our cruises through cru con from now on. We hope that others will learn from our experience and avoid the same disappointment.

Vacations To Go Terrible Experience with Vacations To Go: Unhelpful and Unprofessional

I recently had a terrible experience with Vacations To Go. My family and I were all set to go on a Carnival Cruise Line vacation, but just three days before we were supposed to board, the cruise was cancelled without any notice to us. We were devastated and didn't know what to do. We immediately contacted Vacations To Go for help, but they were completely unhelpful. They kept telling us that there was nothing they could do to help us find a comparable cruise on another line or get a refund. It was as if they didn't care about our situation at all.

To make matters worse, when we got on a three-way call between us, Vacations To Go, and Carnival to discuss the situation, our "travel agent" King Dorsey had the nerve to ask the Carnival representative if he would still get his commission even though our booking had been cancelled. I couldn't believe it! It was so unprofessional and disrespectful. It was clear that Vacations To Go only cared about making money and not about helping their customers.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with Vacations To Go. They did absolutely nothing to advocate for us and our family during this difficult time. We will never book through them again and I would not recommend them to anyone. They are a completely useless company that doesn't care about their customers.

Vacations To Go 4Q4GMX

I purchased this 10 day cruise on Nov 16th out of Port in California; the Travel Agent reassured me that I would get a refund if cancellation required due to COVID 19 or Vaccination. On Nov 18th, as a Non US Citizen, I am not able to travel to the US with "proof of vaccination." I called the travel agent who reassured me that he has started the cancellation of this cruise. I followed up regularly with emails, phone calls and was reassured that they were following process and waiting on a "decision maker." It is now December 6th, no emails, no phone calls, no response. I am still getting alerts on excursions and how to set up my medallion. Obviously they have done nothing! I have tried calling Princess Cruises 6x - no call back; live chat in queue for 3 hours.

I guess it is easy enough for the Travel Agent to tell me anything to get me to spend my $ but when asked to take accountability - SILENCE!

I am an AVID cruiser and am a loyal Princess Cruise member; really sad how they treat their "loyal customers."

Desired outcome: Resolution; cancel the cruise that I am not able to attend and ask that they honor what I was told by Travel Agent - Full Refund

My husband and I are avid Cruisers. ON November 16th, I booked a 10 day Mexican Cruise leaving from San Pedro, CA. My travel agent with Vacations to Go assured me that a "full refund for cancellation with anything to do with COVID 19 or Proof of Vaccination. On November 18th, I found out that as a NON US Citizen, I am not able to travel into US without Proof of Vaccination. I reached out to my travel agent that I needed to cancel due to "Proof of Vaccination." He indicated that the has already submitted the cancellation requested. I followed up with emails, with phone calls and was reassured that they are just waiting on a response. It is now December 6th, no email, no phone calls, no response. Is this how they treat the loyal Princess Cruise Customers?

I have spent over 25 hours on hold, never getting call backs from Princess Cruises, no call back from Vacations to Go. No resolution!

Sad how accommodating they are when they want our Money $$$$ but suddenly disappear when we ask them to take accountability and need help.

Vacations To Go Wrong information given when booking

When booking our cruise we tried to get as much Information as we could before choosing who to book with, We chose to go with America to go and also let them book our air, (first time I’ve let someone book my air I usually do that on my own) Not sure where to start so I will go randomly, they chose American Airlines told me if I joined their rewards that our first checked bag would be free, not true $30 a bag two ways equals $120. Sold us on the have it all on a cruise something we’ve never done before as I am not a big drinker, told us it was free Internet on the boat, not true no Internet, I celebrated my birthday on the cruise they told me about special dining that was also included in that I have it all, they failed to tell you that it’s almost impossible to get it booked in the one you want, that should’ve been done before hand, those are 3 issues that I can think of right now, that were never resolved, we had other issues that we were able to work out on the cruise, There were five in our group everybody had issues with vacations to go, I’d probably had the fewest,

Desired outcome: I would like to be refunded the money I was out, the baggage was $120, The have it all, well it was a total waste, I think at least half of that should be refunded,

Vacations To Go Refund runaround

Hello,
My family and I booked a cruise through Vacations to Go with Royal Caribbean for Aug 29.
Reservation Numbers: # 1332110, #1334375, #1336206
I was told by your employee Dthomas that I could cancel the vacation up to two weeks before the set sail date. At that time Covid was on the rise and the cruise line implemented covid testing for all guests several times throughout the cruise at the cost of the passenger, with a family of (7) this was very expensive. We were also receiving word that ports were closing due to Covid so my family and I had to cancel the cruise.
I requested a refund and was told by Dthomas that he checked but Royal Caribbean refused to a refund but would give cruise credit. I argued that and presented a flyer stating that we could cancel for full refund. I called again and DThomas no loner worked for Vacations to Go and I spoke with Jordon Brazil who stated she would look into the situation. She did get back to me and told me she was going to hand it off to her supervisor Jared Legoux. I waited 5/6 weeks and heard nothing from Jared. I called and he did get back to me apologizing stating he had somehow forgot about my situation but would look into it right away. I did receive another call from him in November stating that I would receive a full refund but it would take 30 to 45 days.
I notified him again Jan 20th and he apologized and stated the request for refund fell to the bottom of the pile and he would submit it now and it would take another 30 to 45 days.
I find this to be very dissatisfying and concerning. I phoned Royal Caribbean and they had very little to say but basically pointed back to Vacations to Go.
As I have told Jared, we are talking about a refund of over $9200.00, this is a lot of money for an average American.
I am asking for someone to call me and tell me that my refund will be paid out immediately. I have waited patiently however I am prepared to advise my lawyer to start proceedings. I have also been in touch with our local television station that does a "Buyer Beware Segment" and help people who have been treated unfairly. I would like to think all of this was an error and will be handled in a professional manner, I just want my money back.
Please have someone call me to let me know they heard my complaint and what they plan on doing.
Sincerely
Walter Barron

My wife and I booked a cruise ship on royal Caribbean wonders of the sea for seven nights in the Caribbean selling out of Florida. The date we should have been saling is on November 27 to December 4. We got a cruise ship and insurance policy from Vacations to go. We had a sickness and had to cancel the cruise. Vacations to go gave us the cost of the cruise back but not the taxes and tips which is part of the cost of that cruise. That amount is almost $500. We would like that $500.I have a letter from Vacations to go stating that Royal Caribbean should have paid that policy in full Where is our full insurance policy.

Thank you

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Mr. Barron. We're truly sorry that COVID has impacted your vacation plans. We know you were looking forward to your cruise and were disappointed to cancel.

We certainly understand your frustration over the delay in getting your refund and wish there was more we could do to expedite this process. However, we do not have your funds as your credit card was charged by the cruise line and only the cruise line can refund the charge. Vacations To Go has no control over the processing of refunds.

When Royal Caribbean implemented their new testing requirements, they offered the option to reschedule your cruise or receive a full refund. Unfortunately, when your travel counselor called Royal Caribbean to inform them of your decision to cancel, they cancelled your cruise under the Cruise With Confidence policy, which initiated Future Cruise Credits rather than a refund. Your travel counselor, D.W. Thomas, was mistakenly informed that a refund was not an option at the time.

I see that you started speaking to one of our managers in early December, and when he was made aware of the issue, he contacted Royal Caribbean to see if your Future Cruise Credits could be voided, and a refund be issued. They agreed to make this change and informed him that it would take 30-45 business days for the refund to appear.

When you emailed our manager again this week, he followed up with Royal Caribbean and found that while they did authorize your refund in December, they never initiated the process. Our manager has now verified with them that the refund has in fact been initiated, and we are being told that it should arrive within 30 days.

We apologize again that our requests to Royal Caribbean were initially processed incorrectly, and we can certainly understand why your patience is running low. Please know that we have asked Royal Caribbean to expedite your refund request, but even this takes time and your refund will not be immediate. The manager you've been speaking to will personally follow up with you. We truly appreciate your continued patience and understanding.

Vacations To Go false advertising

My husband and I are avid cruisers . We have used Vacations To Go a few times and they were ok . Last month they posted on their site a cruise at a great price . I called them and booked it, they gave me a confirmation number and told me I was all set to go . I went ahead and booked my air for the cruise . A few hours later they called me and told me it was an error and they could not meet that price . It was now more than double the posted price. Clearly FALSE ADVERTISING . They would do nothing for us . I emailed the CEO, Alan Fox, who is always busy sending out friendly emails . He never replied and instead referrer me to an employee who was totally useless . Again I emailed Alan Fox, but to no avail . He never answered . His employee called me again and offered me cruises at a higher price than I could get any where else . VERY DISAPPOINTING !...very poor customer service ! So beware and careful when using Vacations To Go .

HE DID NOT EVEN PERSONALLY ANSWER MY EMAILS, AFTER I SENT HIM 3 emails . He referred me to customer service that was useless and just apologized for the errors . HORRIBLE customer service . They just lie and do not care.

Vacations To Go Dishonesty and fabrication

We have booked a cruise for new year through vacation to go and the agent lied to me when quoted the prize and then blamed on the exchange rate of currencies. They never investigated the matter as said they would . I requested to listen to my telephone conversation with agent at the time of booking, they said it was private and confidential how can it be private when it was my conversation with the agent . Because they know what was said they refused. They are very dishonest and tell lies and more lies. Refused to refund my money. I saved for a year to take my autistic daughter on holiday and they robbed me through the lies and tell me to complain to the owner Alan Fox ceo of the company Megan Peters told me that they would not refund my money vice president has also listen to my conversation and feel it was error on my side..I would never book through them. they are shady and dishonest. Megan Peters and the vice president and Shay are liars

Offers subject to change or withdrawal, availability is limited. Some discounts are not combinable.

My Call to attempt to book the above River Cruise
Today (26th June 2015), I called regarding booking a River Cruise, From Basle to Amsterdam (T136927) that was advertised by RiverCruise. The advertised price was $3749US.
The offer included two for the price of one, plus air for the companion was included.
When I spoke to Randol (8375) He checked and said that this date was sold out at this price.
He said however that if I did the trip in the reverse direction, on the same date that it was available at $4898CDN. When questioned about the cost of the second flight, he gave me a cost of $6392.00CDN all taxes and fees included. I asked about the cost for the additional flight, and he told me that it was for two return flights.
He then stated that the price advertise did NOT include a free airfare for the companion.
This Sir in my opinion is at least misrepresentation if not fraudulent. I await your response before making this information of how you operate to all of my Face book friends, and local media.
A very disappointed and upset potential customer, as this was to be for both my wife's 75th Birthday and our Anniversary.

Paul, thanks for writing. I hear you, but that does not change the way I feel on how you do business.
I was NOT told that flying from Toronto was not a selected Gateway, neither was I told which ones were, as I am equally close to Detroit or Buffalo, should they be available.
Under the circumstances, I will not be interested in booking a trip from you or Viking now or in the future.

Mr.Fox
The person that you asked to call, did so this evening. He said that he was an account manager and wanted to work this out. He stated that there was available space on this cruise and that Toronto was also a gateway city, and that the trip would cost me about $10, 000 Cdn.
Things seem to have gone from bad to worse, the last price Randol quoted me was $6392.00 Cdn. Which was not acceptable.
I told your manager that this was not acceptable, and I intend to pass this latest information on, as it getting more like fraud than misrepresentation. Getting a person on the hook then doubling the quote then compounding it by the latest increased quote by your manager.
I think that, I would like to talk to the CEO of Viking by telephone before this goes any further.
I am looking forward to this call by Monday, before this goes any further.
Sincerely,
Paul S. Beaumont

I received a telephone call from a young lady later this afternoon. I do not understand how she could make it better, by basically telling me now that this original trip for 2 for the price of one, has gone from a deal of $3, 749US plus one air fare, to a cost now of $12, 984CDN for the two of us?" Is'nt anyone in Head Office paying any attention to what is happening, or is concerned regarding customer satisfaction.

Vacations To Go No complaint

I came to this website to do research on another travel agency and decided to see if there were any complaints about Vacations to Go. I have used them for years and had excellent service. Whenever I book a cruise I go to the cruise line first and find their best deal. Then I check out VTG. On every cruise I've booked the price was much cheaper through VTG and in addition I have had stateroom upgrades. I couldn't ask for better service. When I read comments about this agency being a scam I have to believe it is a competitor trying to scare people away.

Please book your vacation with me next time! I will be happy to help your parents and you will be next to each other. Vacation To Go doesn't provide service as real trained travel professionals do. There is no extra cost for you to book with me. Price is the same - service different.
