I purchased a battery Nov. 2017. It is now not working. I do not have receipt. I was told that the invoice shows it was no charge because I still had 1 month warranty left on old battery. The problem is I purchased the battery, went out to parking lot removed old battery and brought it in to the store to get my core charge back. I received an email telling me that my purchase was ready. I drove from an hour away as the bike was not in stock at my local store to pick it up. They tell me it's not ready, don't know when it will be. I asked for Manager and she just smiled and said too bad. I asked if they could ship it to my local Canadian tire she said they don't do that. I went to Canadian Tire like I do every year on the Monday after Black Friday. I purchased two microwaves for Christmas presents. After I checked out I asked for my $50 Giftcard for spending $200. I was told that this year it was only if I ordered online. I don't have a computer and I don't know how to online shop. I was very upset by this. I don't think that it is fair. I looked at the add and it never occurred to me that cyber Monday meant I had to order it online. They were in stock at the store why would I order them. This past spring I had my summer tires out on at this location.
Today I went in to my dealership to get an oil change and have my winters put back on and was shocked by what they told me.
They informed me that my summer tires we so over torqued by the technician that my rims have cracked. Not only this but they are unable to removed the nuts now with heat or a torquing gun.
They have told me that I will have to have an extraction done, replace all the nuts on all my. Tires and now will have to replace my summer rims on my not even 2 year old Jeep.
All this because of the incompetence.
My dealership told me to contact you immediately before they proceed with the work because Canadian Tire should be held responsible for the damage caused to my vehicle and my now very expensive bill.
I have been advised in the past to never go to Canadian tire for car service, and now I have just learned why.
I need someone to contact me asap regarding this because I find it incredibly unfair to have to incur such a large bill due to your employees incompetence.
