Bought this cordless self propelled lawnmower serial #CTN0680245, product # 060-2142-6 in mid summer of 2015, at Canadian Tire in Terrebonne Québec, for close to 500$. To function it needs a 24V 20Ah lead and acid battery.
I found out that these type of batteries are high maintenance and fragile. they don't keep their charge. Even if 2 batteries came with the lawnmower, one of them failed in 2016, this June, the other battery was not charging enough power to cut grass.
Shopping for replacement battery, I learned that they are discontinued. I phone Yardwork customer service / no help ans same with Canadian Tire who does not provide any alternative for this lawnmower.
The lawnmower itself is in very good working condition and was expecting a 10 to 15 lifetime of usage with replacing batteries every 5 to 7 years as I take care of equipment and cautious about spending.
Now I want an alternative to this discontinued battery, be it a lithium battery or a DC conversion kit or a credit representing 50 to 60% of the original value of the lawnmower.

Canadian tire stores are not accepting any returns completely contrary to their receipts and customer commitments in which they are committing fraud > by definition "fraud consists of some deceitful practice or willful device, resorted to withintent to deprive another of his right, or in some manner to do him an injury." they are accepting online orders and pickups at their stores, but not permitting any returns of goods therefor no monetary refunds or credits. Essentially they are taking people's money and refusing to honour their part of the contract as explicitly stated on the receipt, online refund statement and their explicit statement validating their claim on the customer commitment statement. All customer service, store phones and client relations reply with "sorry, regardless of what the receipts, etc, say, we will not be refunding anyone until the store closes... Even if they never open normal again? They need to be formally charged as with what is happening with ticketmaster. Consumers have not been formally notified and have been mislead that they can return goods for their monies back, when in fact they cannot.
Same here, cannot get a refund, just an exchange for the same low-quality substandard item with poor customer service in a nutshell..disappointed and feel for others that have had similar disappointments. Same here. they told me they wouldnt take my stuff back until things get back to normal. I needed that money for something more important. I bought my stuff online and dont see why they cant just recredit my money. Heck I can just drop it off at the curb pickup area. Its 2020, why cant this be done real frustrating.

I have recently bought a Three seater Patio Swing from a Canadian Tire store in Kitchener, ON. (Canada) Please find below attached Receipt and screenshots of the online order, that I placed.
Somehow, during assembling the swing, we observed that the seat part of the swing was not matching with other parts of swing body. It seems like the part was replaced by some other part, and finally we were unable to assemble the Swing set.
We have made a detailed video of this mis-matching and attached here to the email. Please find the attached video. I kindly request you to replace the part for me as soon as possible. I have mentioned my contact details below in signature section of this email.
I would like to mention that this swing set was a surprise gift for my wife's upcoming birthday, which is on April 13th, and now that is completely ruined just because of this carelessness from your end. I am highly disappointed with unexpected quality of this product.
Please get back to me as soon as possible as I need this replacement and compensation right away.

2 gallon food grade buckets
Hey I purchased 12 two gallon food grade bucket last week.
Today I unboxed them, started washing them out, when I came across 2 buckets stuck together with a freshly chewed piece of mint gum.
Not sure if this was a mistake!
This is my first time ordering online from Canadian tire and having my order shipped to my house.
I don't ever send in complaints but this I made an exception due to the coronavirus that's going around.

Allowing to many people in the store at a time.
Canadian Tire should be following the best practices of other essential service stores in our city of Hamilton by limiting the amount of people allowed in the store at a time in order to keep the public and they're employees safe.

I ordered jacket and boots online it said they had like 7 at store I ordered and it confirmed order and took money. I waited 2 days to pick up to give employees time to get it together. I went up there and when got there no order ready had to wait so thought ok will broose around and when came back she said your order is all ready so grabbed it left and when got home only the jacket no boots not happy I drove out of my way to get them basically across town. I called the store he was very friendly and finally got a answer unfortuelly he said they were out. I did not press it as not his problem but as a online business store this is unacceptable. I was never given any indication even when I picked it up that the order was not complete. The employee said my master card would be refunded but that is not what I wanted.
