Canadian Tire automotive center

On October 5th my son took his car into Canadian Tire store # 457 in Kanata to have an oil change and undercoating. We were told it would take several hours. After an hour they called trying to up sell us on a wheel alignment and some other services, this seems like a typical thing as I saw many others online say the exact same thing.
We declined. Another hour or so later they called to say it was ready. My son went to pick it up and when he did he found a large portion of the clear coat on his hood was missing! He immediately brought it to their attention and they responded saying they could not have caused it. They took pictures and he came home. It just so happened that he had pictures of his own from an hour before it was brought into the shop which clearly show that there is no damage. We sent them the pictures. They asked us to take additional pictures of the car from the same spot at the same angle in the same light a few days after the incident. I refused and said we would take the car to them to take their own pictures. They did not want that but I insisted. It was taken back and reluctantly a of couple additional pictures were taken by them.
They kept insisting that there was no evidence on their shop video to support that the damage was not already there or that anything they did caused it. They asked me to take the car to a paint shop that they were friendly with to have an "expert" evaluate whether they could have caused the damage. Of course the expert had excuses such as the hood had been painted before, news to us as we bought it second hand, and that the chemicals they use wouldn't cause the damage. In the mean time I had launched a complaint with Canadian Tire Corporate and got zero assistance there. The case manager just pushed me off to the store and said the store manager will deal with it. Now today, October 17, nearly 2 weeks later I called the store and was told that there is no conclusive proof that they caused the damage and that they are not responsible. I quote "the burden of proof is on you to prove that they caused the damage".
I am writing this to warn everyone to beware of this shop, look online at other reviewers and you will find a trail of other incidents where damage was done and they take no responsibility. Take many good pictures of your car before taking it in so you will have proof even if they wont accept it.

Canadian Tire manager I spoke to regarding my issue

I bought a set of four tires from Canadian Tire in March of 2019, for my SUV. Immediately after having them installed, two dash lights would come on every time I drove it. This had not happened prior to having the tires installed. I took my SUV back to Cdn tire and a helpful manager took it in right away and I was told the mechanic had said it was just a matter of my truck adjusting to the new tires and it would go away on its own.
Now, October, seven months after purchasing the tires, nothing has changed. Dash lights still come on. I took it back to Canadian tire October 15 to get the issue rectified. I first spoke to a young girl who was very disinterested and didn't feel It had anything to do with what may have done while installing my tires and said she would get an estimate. I said I had no intentions of paying anything since none of this was an issue before Canadian tire got involved. She then asked me to sit and wait to speak to a manager. A "Manager" named David came to talk to me. He was also very disinterested and frankly seemed clueless and had no real idea what he was supposed to do. So clueless and out of his element in fact, that he passed it on to another manager, who was, in the end, very helpful. I would suggest that Canadian tire not waste any more money paying this person named David, as a manager. He clearly has zero customer service skills, is totally out of his element and should be working in a different job altogether. Because of David, I have no desire to return to the Canadian tire auto department, West Edmonton, as long as he is employed there.

Canadian Tire fireplace

I ordered a fire place and just pick up today. The customer service rep told me the wrong info. They confirm that fireplace come with one piece and no need to assemble it at all. The person talked like 100% sure!
Because too heavy we paid 100 bucks to others for move to the second floor of my house. When we opened. it i got shock coz there are many pieces that we can carry by ourselves. Also took long time to assemble it... If they gave us acurrate info we have more choice than that! And when the first time we went to the store, the display one was the last one with some scratches. I asked for discount but they didn't offer me also insisted that the display one is a brand new one.. So we order a new one which tooks two more weeks. Im seeking for the compensation for extra cost on me...please help!

Canadian Tire tires change, oil change

I called and took an appointment for a tires change and an oil change on Sunday the 13th. I repeated what I needed and I ask the employee to repeat what I wanted. Several times. I got an hour long appointment on the 13th.

On the 13th, the employee, maybe another one, tells me that I was only appointed for the tires change but not for the oil change, and that there would not be time for the oil change.

The thing is that for 20 minutes at least, 9:55 to 10:20, the two employees of the garage where outside taking a break.

That is quite frustrating, to take precaution to avoid such frustration and when it still happens to witness that employees don't really care at all.

Canadian Tire automotive

I went into the automotive section looking for a replacement fuse. After much time looking around and no one around to help I finally find it on my own. 300 fuses to pick from and none look like the one I have. I grab the one that looks closest to it and walk up to the counter. I simply ask the lady if this fuse looks like the old one I have on me. RUDELY she quickly tells me "I'm not a electrician, so I can't help you. ELECTRICIAN! I'm at the front desk for auto-motives with a auto-motive part. So I tell I don't know if this will work and she continues to look at me like I'm an idiot while slowly walk away saying "I don't know if this is the damn part!"
Long story short, [censored] Canadian Tires stupid auto-motive section. All she had to do was look at the damn part and tell me if it was the same.

Canadian Tire auto service, tires

Advertised tires at a great price .. went in to confirm the price and availability, arranged to come in the next morning at 9 am for installation. Service manager said they would call first thing in the morning to ensure the tires were there from another location. Never called. Then i noticed at the same online page the tire price was up almost $50 per tire. Typical 'bait and switch', which is highly illegal. It gets better. About two weeks later, another service manager from the auto centre calls and says he noticed that i ordered tires to be installed. i said i wasn't impressed that i never got a call back to install the tires at the sale price. he said, "oh well, you know we get busy and things get overlooked. So I asked for the tires at the same price i was originally quoted. He says ok, gives me a total price and says come in tomorrow morning at 1030 for installation. Then once again, says he will call first to confirm. Then he tries to sell me an alignment over the phone! I said no thanks, the alignment is fine. Guess what? Same ploy .. he never called back as he said he would. I'm done with your second rate company. Aren't you supposed to be a tire company first? Disgusting tactics and total lack of care and concern for your customers. You just lost another. Got tires installed at Costco.

Canadian Tire Additional procedures done without permission

On September 29th, I went to Candian Tire to change the tires of my car to winter tires. In the temporary invoice, the employee, Mr. Amit, tagged on additional charges of $129.99 for re-alignment. I had declined the offer after some thought and before the work had begun. I paid the full bill as not to cause conflict but, I seek a full refund of the $129.99 I had paid for a re-alignment that I did not need.

Moreover, he threatened that he will remove the tires that he fixed. I replied, "No. I will pay for that". From my past encounters with Candian Tire, I had a rather positive perception of the company but, this experience was not pleasant.

I look forward to the resolution of this problem.

Canadian Tire oil change

On Sept 28, 2019 at appproimately 11am. I walked into the Automotive Service area to get an Oil Change for my Juke. I waited about 10 minutes to speak to the service agent. When I did speak to the agent he mentioned there would be at least a 2 hour wait for the oil change. I did not want to wait so he suggested I book an appointment. I asked the cost of the oil change he said $55 plus a $15 dollar discount (which was for authorizing Canadian Tire to text my cell up coming marketing ads). So I decided to book an appointment. I booked it for the next day Sept 29th at 11am.

I arrived on time the same service agent (I didn't get his name but he was an older gent) he immediately told me it would be an hour and 15 minutes, which I responded it shouldn't take that long to complete an oil change. However I agreed. At 12:15pm I inquired if it was completed as I saw someone driving my Juke within the garage. The agent said he was just test driving it and he was going to do the oil change now. I asked why he lied to me since I had an appointment for 11am. He asked if I still wanted the oil change I said I am too upset and do not want to wait any longer, and I left.

I would never have stayed if it was going to be longer then the hour and 15 minutes. I am guessing it was not completed within that time frame because I was taking advantage of the $15 discount. Also I noticed two other people paid for their services and they arrived after me (probably because their services cost more).

Earlier this year I got my back brakes done at another Canadian Tire and spent $700. They told me it would take 2.5 hours and my car sat for an hour before the mechanic took my car, but he still charged me for 2.5 hours. I did not lodge a complain but having this second incident happen I thought this is not right, what kinda employees or regulations does Canadian Tire allow?

I do not plan on going to your store for any car services or items I may need.

Canadian Tire tire repair

I took my vehicle to the Canadian Tire located at 378 Horton Street East, London Ontario to remove a nail from my tire and to repair it. The repair technician told me that the tire can't be fixed. I decided not to fix the tire and instead took it to Oxford Dodge Chrysler located at 1249 Hyde Park Rd. London where they were able to fix my tire and saved me the extra expense of purchasing a new tire. The Canadian Tire employees should me more knowledgeable and explore other options when conducting repairs instead of recommending a costly repair and taking the easy way out.
Thank you Oxford Dodge Chrysler for your knowledge, expertise and professionalism, it is greatly appreciated.

Canadian Tire auto service

Date of incident- September 25 around 12pm
Client #- did not want to disclose
Individuals involved: mechanic (Sam) and Supervisor(Joe)

Background Context
On September 24th, my vehicle got towed to Canadian Tire located at CentrePoint Mall in North York, ON. My car would not turn on and so I was advised that they would have to run a few tests. After an hour of waiting I was told that my car had to stay overnight. I had no problem and the individual I was dealing with Scott was super nice. However, the following day (September 25th) the issue with my vehicle was still not clear and so I decided to tow my vehicle to my personal mechanic located outside of Toronto.

I called CAA and met up with the tow truck driver at Canadian Tire. Before the CAA driver towed my car I noticed that my backseats were lifted and that my wires were showing. I approached the mechanic who was working on my car which his name is Sam and had to ask him twice to come take a look at my vehicle

The incident
When Sam came I asked him why the wires were showing and he said well I had to look at your battery whats the problem and so I told him can you rearrange my back seat to its original condition because this looks like crap and he turned to me and said I quote "You look like [censored]" as soon as he said that I was so shocked that I looked at him and said excuse me, what is your problem? This is my car and all i'm asking you is to rearrange my backseats to its original condition. Watch your f**** tone. Sam response was "I dont give a f***, f*** you" at this point I was beyond furious, exchanged similar words to him as well and asked to speak with his manager. He ignored me and nobody else in the garage seemed to care about my frustration so I had to literally yell and say where is the manager... finally Joe his manager comes out to the garage and asks me whats going on... I explained to him the situation and his response was quite disappointing he said "our mechanics are not used to dealing directly with our clients" and that's when I said it still does not justify his response and the CAA tow truck driver even got involved and said the way Sam handled the situation was horrible. Joe then looked at my seat and asked Sam to fix it and I said I don't want Sam near my car at this point and would like someone else to fix the seats. Another individual came without showing any sign of disrespect and fixed my seats under 5 minutes. During this time I told the manager that I would NEVER EVER bring my car back to Canadian Tire and that I would need names because I will be contacting head office. As I was having this conversation with Joe, Sam in the back was cussing me out again, his colleague just laughing and smoking. I got furious yet again, cussed him out and told Joe that he needs to do something about Sam. Joe told Sam to settle down one or two times but overall the situation was handled poorly.

I did not get an apology from either of them, I think Joe could have handled the situation a bit better given that he is the manager. I wished Joe showed more empathy and Sam, I have no words. I took the time to write this complain (which I normally never do) because there should be some consequences to his actions. The customer service was beyond brutal, the tow truck driver and I were beyond shocked and I left feeling like I was just degraded by a bunch of guys in a garage... NEVER ever going back to that location, the tow truck driver also said he does not like dealing with Canadian Tire and just hope that someone can seriously look into this...

Thanks in advance.

Canadian Tire auto centre

This was my complain

Good afternoon,

Since last many years I only go to canadian tire for my vehicle service and other vehicle related issues.

A year back I went for oil change and told them to change rear wiper blade, they were super nice and changed front an rear both the wipers and since then rear wiper doesn't work. After that visit, every time I go there I tell them to fix the rear wiper but still they didn't fix it.

Secondly, since last 4 visits. Every time I go there I tell them that when I start my vehicle, there is a scratching noise coming from engine can you please fix that. When they take vehicle they say yes to everything but they don't fix it. And in vehicle report they mentions everything is fine, however, on my last to last visit I told them can you please send someone with me so he can check my vehicle in front of me? They sent mechanic and he did found the issue and I was been told the person who did oil change and everything is deaf and can't hear any noise (I believe when there was a specific instructions regarding engine noise then someone else should have checked my vehicle too). Then this another mechanic said it will cost me $248 to fix that engine noise issue. I said okay!

My my last visit which was on september 5th, I specifically told them please fix that rear wiper and engine issues as well as car service as I am going to bc with my family for a week and I want to know if it is safe to use my vehicle for that long drive. She said alright.

After 5 hours, I received a call from canadian tire that your vehicle is ready for pick up. I went for picking up my vehicle and paid $336 and when I checked my vehicle still same noise was coming out of my engine (this time it was louder than before) back wiper wasnt fixed even and full vehicle inspection wasn't done and on the top they said I should change the front 2 tires. Upon asking why rear wiper isn't fixed, she said they can't fix it I have to get it done somewhere else, I said I can still hear engine noise then she said it's not at all possible as we have checked your vehicle after repair. Same mechanic checked my vehicle and said sorry we shouldn't changed the tensioner and belt this noise is coming from timing belt. Great! Now I asked did you guys able to do full service inspection, they said, sorry we had no time? Seriously? Then why did you take my vehicle and did experiment on my vehicle for 5 hours? Now she want me to change to tire as well.. I bought these tires from same canadian tire in 2017, it's still in warranty, still the same answer... Sorry can't do anything.

Now I have to use a rentle vehicle for bc trip and still my vehicle isn't fixed,

You suggest what should I do now?

Invoice number — . [protected]

Name - mayank mehta

This was the reply...

Dear mr. Mehta,

I understand that you have contacted our office once again for concerns that you are having with your vehicle. I would like to take this opportunity to try once again and clarify the situation.

In regards too the repairs that were done, (replacement of the belt tensioner) on your vehicle. Our associate store 695 never diagnosed the repair nor have they ever charged you for diagnostics. Our associate store 695 cannot take any responsibility for this repair if it did not resolve your concern as they did not recommend it. This was done at your request.

The tires you purchased in november of 2017 are under warranty for manufacturer defects and road hazard. The concern you have is regarding tread wear. There are many contributing factors that will determine tread wear. One of these is tire rotations. It is recommended by vehicle manufacturers and tire manufacturers to have your tires rotated every 10, 000kms. Looking at your service history, the tires were installed on your vehicle at 96, 672kms. On sept 5th your vehicle had 155, 465kms. A difference of 58, 793kms. I don't see any rotations performed on your vehicle.

Our associate stores work very hard to schedule all our customers appropriately in our auto centres to try and mitigate tardiness in completing any work being done. Scheduling a time to have your vehicle serviced and once arriving asking them to complete "extra checks or work" doesn't always work. Also, any investigation or diagnostic work has to be scheduled and charged out. Now I realized that at times this can become costly depending on what needs to be done, however, the technician performing the work is being paid to complete a service therefore a charge to the customer needs to be done.

Think of it this way. If every time you click your light switch in the kitchen the bulb burns out. You ask the electrician; what is the problem. He tells you, I don't know. Maybe it's the switch. But if you really want to know, pay me $100.00 for 1 hour and I will investigate and tell you exactly what the problem is. You think about what he said, then you decide to have him change the switch. Electrician changes the switch. You click the switch and again the bulb burns out. Does this make the electrician responsible for the burned bulb issue? No.

I'm very sorry that you are having issues with your vehicle and we are certainly here to help. However, I cannot find fault with anything our associate store #695 has done.

I hope you have a great day.

Then my reply to the store manager

Hi andy,

I believe there is some confusion here, the time I booked an appointment I specifically told them that there is a scratching noise coming when I start the vehicle so please check and fix it. I never said, that don't want to pay. Your staff told me this is the problem and will cost $248, I said fine fix it. If they would have told me that this will cost you $100 to check I never said that i'm not going to pay. But they didn't cared about customer service and they never said anything.

Secondly, every time I booked an appointment I told them please fix all the issues and never said that i'm not going to pay but if your mechanics don't want to fix my vehicle then I can't do anything about it,

Last visit when I booked an appointment I specifically told the lady was at the counter, i'm going to bc next week so please do the vehicle inspection and tell me if the vehicle is recommended to drive that far, again I never told them that i'm not going to pay. So that was her responsibility to put all the notes and tell me that this will take more than a day time and I was okay with that too.

But if you people don't take initiative to help customers then what a customer can do?

About the belt tensioner replacement, that was your mechanic who told me that this noise is coming because of that, i'm not a mechanic, he is, so what he said I said okay. Now after changing belt tensioner, he was the one who said, sorry that wasn't a problem we changed it unnecessarily. Still, I didn't argue about why i'm paying for this. Every time, whatever amount people said, I just made the payment for it. So I believe, that is completely your fault for charging me hundreds of dollars and still my vehicle isn't fixed, if you would have told me, it will take an $100 for vehicle inspection, and then you going to tell me how much will that cost, I had no issues, but what you people did is just said pay me this much and I will fix it. I said okay,

Lastly, about the winter tires. When your people changed my all season tires to winter tires, you people have never returned my old all season tires. Upon asking, I was been told that sorry we threw it away. Seriously? Without even asking me? Still I said okay and paid full amount.

Now, because of you people. I have wasted my money and time both and still having issues in my vehicle. I want my vehicle to be fixed and front 2 new tires for no extra cost. And if you can't do anything then please provide me your head office contact details or your legal counsel details so I can talk to them directly.

I'm sorry, I know you might be thinking people just want everything for free and that why keep complaining but this isn't true. I would prefer to spend $1000 dollars instead of taking a headache.

Thanks
Mayank mehta ...

Then he replied with this

Hi mr. Mehta,

The is head office. The exact department you are currently dealing with is canadian tire corporate customer relations. We deal with all customer complaints. You can email us, call our 1-800-387-8803 phone number or contact the presidents' office directly. All complaints will be directed to us. We do our best to work with our stores and try to come to a resolution. Unfortunately, we're not always able to resolve all issues. This is one of those situations where we will have to agree to disagree.

We don't have a legal department that take calls or information from customers. If you have concerns about your rights or duties under the consumer protection act, you should contact the ministry of consumer and business services. If you feel it necessary to take legal action, it is your right to contact your local court system and speak with someone regarding small claims court.

Have a great day.

Then again my email

Thanks for the info, and you can't do anything to resolve my complaint, right? ...

And then no reply...

Do you realy think that this is right customer service?

Please reply...

And I want to talk to someone from head office please,... Because this gentle man thinks he owns all these canadian tires and his decision is final...

Canadian Tire "store security" attacked me without probable cause

approx 530 pm september 25th 2019 I and my fiance were violently attacked by an individual claiming to be loss prevention in the parking lot of your bath rd location in kingston ontario. Without proof (as i had stolen nothing and never would), without any other employees or identification a man accosted me and mugged me for several items of clothing as well as my iphone.
If this man was indeed your employee, I would suggest he be admonished for working while high on stimulants, belligerency, unprofessional conduct, and taking very dangerous risks.
Anyone properly trained in loss prevention knows that one should NEVER accost a suspect alone.
If he is indeed an employee of yours, I plan to file suit as soon as possible for the near beating he gave me, the emotional trauma his behaviour caused on my fiance and the theft of my personal property.

Canadian Tire sales

We went to the Penticton Canadian Tire on Sunday, September 22/19 to purchase a utility trailer, that was on display out front of the store. We were told your store does not sell trailers on Sundays. The manager on duty was called to see if he could help. He said he refused to put himself in the position of selling us a trailer. We knew of an insurance agency to get the trailer insured at. I am an insurance agent, so I know the process of your trailer sales and what documents are required. How can you refuse to sell a product that is on display as for sale? This caused a great inconvenience to us. If you cannot sell your product, then don't put it out on display for purchase. We went elsewhere.

Canadian Tire not so nice and [censored]y frustrated store manager (sherry)

I needed some new seat covers for my truck, so online I went. I always do my do diligent's and write the product number down and i always snap a picture just in case.
so off to the canadian store I go
I arrive and walk into the store and straight to the seat covers after a few minutes i found the product but the price wasn't the same as advertised on the website. I checked to make sure the product in the box matched the price on the shelf. Couldn't find the right price, so i checked there computer in the front of the entrance, still nothing.
I headed to the closest desk to the seat cover isle and was approached by a young fellow who checked the sku and product number, but also found the wrong price. I showed the young fellow the picture i took from the Canadian tire website and it showed the color and clearance price. He checked again, but still nothing. He asked a lady standing there and she mentioned she will look into in a minute, as she was helping a customer. A few moments later she came back and began to help with a little chip on her shoulders. She asked if i had the right product and i said yes and even mentioned that i had the product number and the picture of the product and clearance price. She could not find it on there computer either. She started to get frustrated and very unruly. She was getting snippy with me. She insisted i didn't have the right number or color and it didn't exist. I was appalled at this, so i took the seat covers and put them back on the shelf. I remembered they had a computer at the front of the store, so i went and checked there. I found the clearance ad, the price, color and product number and it was the same product and color I showed her 5 minutes prior. I brought her to show her and she got very defensive and denied it was the same product. I told her there is the proof and she got upset and snarled at me and i asked her about the clearance price and snarled back that she would give the price because she could and i corrected her and reminded her it was because it was stated in the ad. She still refused to believe the ad. All the way up to the cashier she was talking under her breath and at one point she rolled her eyes and said something to a cashier, as to say what an idiot ( referring to me ) because the cashier then looked at me then looked to the ground. I have never had this from a manager at Canadian Tire. I was pissed, but kept my cool. She told the cashier to put it through as a clearance and then brushed by me not saying saying a word. A customer who was behind me piped up and said what a [censored] i proceeded to tell him that she was a store manager, he couldn't believe it. We both agreed that the kids who worked there gave that kind of service, but never from a manager. I even heard a cashier say that Sherry the manager was a [censored]. Now that is bad. your own employee saying that. I believe she needs to be reevaluated and needs to be demoted until she takes customer service 101 and learns that the customer is usually ( always right ) right.
It is very sad that one persons behavior can ruin it for all, but I plan on shopping at a different store and spreading the word via social media as this is not the first time i have had or witnessed bad customer service. Nothing as bad as today. It really doesn't sit well with me.

Canadian Tire daylight running light installation

Brought my car to this location in Aug 29. After paying $1, 053.94 for repair and parts installation, something went wrong, headlight failed. I brought it back today Sept 19. I was told its a "burned fuse" so they replaced it. I havent left the premises and again the problem persisted. My theory is they installed a defective daytime running light module or they didnt do it right.

Canadian Tire auto

I purchased 4 snow tires on rims in November of 2018, I purchased the warranty and had them installed at the store.
I returned to the store on 4 different occasions because my truck was pulling to one side.
In the spring when Canadian Tire switched out my snow tires, it was discoved that one of the tires was put on backwards. (I have this in writing).
The tires were warrantied so two weeks ago I attempted to have them honour the warranty and I ordered the new tire.
The service manager at the Hyde Park store refuses to honour the warranty because he says I have the destroyed tire and rim.
In the spring, the destroyed tire and rim were kept by the store, I assume to send back to Goodyear.

Canadian Tire online product vs in store product

Hello i travelled a far distance for a karaoke machine that was on special. I found it online, and when i arrived at the store it was the same number for the product but not the same product at all. I needed a 2 microphone karaoke and this one with the same product number only had 1 microphone and not the same appearance with no lights in the front. Very disapointed. Store workers said they could do nothing.

Canadian Tire deep cycle battery

Hello. I purchased a deep cycle battery and asked the manager to test the battery for me to see how much life is left in the battery (not voltage) and he couldn't do it as he could only test voltage. I went to my vehicle and used my own battery tester that I purchased from mac tools and found the battery only had 64% life left and came back into the store and tested another new battery and that one also only had 54% life left in it. At that time I was told to just get my money back. I wanted to let you know that the batteries you are selling are not at 100% life as most people will not know to test for this and I am sure you want to sell a quality product.

Canadian Tire picking up an online order.

I ordered and paid for 4 Hankook winter tires online order number [protected]. After receiving my confirmation I went to the store to pick them up. I went to the online order pick up desk but was sent to the garage. After waiting 30 minutes to be served the person at the desk had no idea how to use the system and couldn't find the order it was suggested that I come back another time. The person was a mechanic and wasn't sure how to use the system. The second time I came to the store to pick up my order they had difficulty finding the order again and then I was told that the order on the in store system were a completely different make of tire from what the confirmation I received. I wasn't able to prove this because my phone was dead so I returned home to print the confirmation. The third time I came to the tore to pick up my order even though I had confirmation this time that they were Hankook i was told they were Continental tires. They went to get the order which had been picked and they were Hankook. I was told I couldn't have them because they would have to change the order before they could close it. The person then tried finding someone to help him change the order because he had never done it before after about 30 minutes after he examined the tire and helped other clients while he waited for people. It took a couple of phone calls in the I was given a paper and told to go to the service desk so they could close the order. After waiting in line, guess what when they scanned the bar code the order came up with the original order and I was asked to pay 80$ difference because the tire I hadn't ordered cost more. I then had to wait again while the manager came over because the person on the service desk didn't know how to update the order. The manger didn't know how to change the order either. He had to call the director who wasn't answering immediately. I asked that I be allowed to take the tires home as they are paid for as I shouldn't be waiting while they sort out there mistake. The solution I was offered was to pay for the tires a second time and then go home and cancel the original order. I don't think that it's right that I should be asked to resolve this error and at my own expense. I declined. I told them it was the 3rd time iIhad come to pick up the tires. I was informed that it was not their fault it was someone else. I reminded them that I had purchased the tires from Canadian Tire and they were representing the company. At no time was I offered and apology until I suggested they should. I think Robert the manager should have some customer service training as at no time was I reassured that this would be resolved. Someone who knows how to use the online system should also be present at the store at all hours. In the end I spent over 1 hour on that particular occasion just to pick up tires. I had to go to 3 separate places in the store to pick them up. Maybe don't use the phrase pick up it's very inaccurate and misrepresents reality. Anyway I'm exhausted now and completely taken aback by the last couple of days I've spent trying to purchase tires. I have ordered some more for my other car order number [protected] but really cant go through that again. Defiantly will reconsider using Canadian Tire for my personal purchases. I also manage a large account at work which I wont be spending at a Canadian Tire store in the future unless I receive a satisfactory response.

After having to wait a total of 3 hours for 1 order and having to go the pick up desk then the car parts desk then the service desk to have the sale finalized then then back to the car parts desk. A total of 4 lineups for a pick up. The item I purchased wasn't the same as the item they had on file at the store which lead to further delays and proof of a complete lack of training on the online system by the staff. This was confirmed the next day when I went to a second Canadian Tire to pick up another order. This time it was the price that was different. The cost at the store was more than the cost online. The staff had no clue how to correct this. 2 managers stood there for 30 minutes looking at the screen and doing nothing. pointed out were the mistake was and offered to pay the extra amount so I could leave. There was never an offer to let me go and correct the mistake without wasting my time. i am also out of pocket. 2 online purchases 2 mistakes. They time they kept saying it has happened again. It seems like a common problem. In this online purchasing environment CT is failing big time. They obviously have a miscommunication between their online system and there in store systems. Until they get their act together I will share my experience as much as possible because it was the worst shopping experience I have ever had. The fact I have never received an apology or that I cant leave my email on this blog shows the lack of concern CT has in addressing these issues. Will never spend a penny again in any of their stores.

Canadian Tire briggs & stratton snowblower 399-5399

I purchased the above noted snowblower on September 7, 2019 at the Newmarket store. The Canadian Tire add clearly indicates in the discription that it includes heated grips. After getting it home and assembling it, only to find it doesn't.
When I went to the store they forwarded me to costermer relations, who advised that it must have been an error on the website.
When you go to the briggs & stratton website and you look up this model it clearly indicates it has heated grips. My concern is Canadian Tire has misrepresented the advertised product and will not resolve the matter. I would expect that Canadian Tire would provide for more robust resolve.
I have attached my receipt along with the screen shot of the website advertisement. I have also included a screen shot of the briggs & stratton website showing that it clearly comes with heated grips. I have also provided you with the part numers for the said heated grips & switch that were supposed to be included. I would be willing to install these said parts if Canadian Tire provided them as advertised.

Switch 1501349MA, - $13.10
Grips & harness 1750774YP, - $25.30
I look forward to a reply.
