Canadian Tire - money owed for tires.

Good morning, whom it may concern;

My name is Blaine Caldwell and I live in Fort Frances, Ontario. I will start by stating I have already opened a complaint on this matter 2-3 times, the first time because I hadnt been able to reach the store owner and it was going on 2 years of trying (literally), and then around a month ago I called customer service again seeing has the store owner and I agreed to wait until this present (2020) tire season was over to see if the tires I 75% had paid for a solid 2 years prior, would sell. The product was a set of 20"duratrac tires on a nice blacked out 20" winter quality rim. The reason, two years ago, that I decided I no longer was going to be taking the rims, and ceased from making anymore payments (I had paid around 1600/2400$), was because I had a brother working in the shop at the canadian tire store in which I was purchasing the tires and rims from. My brother had brought home a set of around 5-6 pictures of the rims that an older employee had installed the tires on earlier that day, and in the picture was an unacceptable amount of gouching / pittings and deep scratches in the aluminium rims, to the point that the paint was gone and the aluminium or steel was actually scarred. Wouldnt of been a big deal at all of they would of discounted my tires or something, but instead the employee then went ahead, coloured the blemishes in with a permanet black marker (the deep gouches were still noticable with you knew to look), and when I brought it to the attention of the shop/parts manager they denied it ever happened not knowing my brother had been the one working in the shop with the older employee at the time of incident! During the 2 weeks this went back and forth, I unfortunetly rolled my truck over on my way home from night shift and had no more use for the tires reguardless, and just wanted to get my money back and move on. This is what began the 2 years of calling at least once a month and being told that the owner, a John Melgo, wasnt currently in store to the point the humerously annoyed elderly lady who always answered the phone would just hang up on me right when I asked to speak with the owner. When shopping in the store, I did notice the tire and rim combo sitting off alone and unadvertised but for sale, and so I didn't get to excited figuring it only fair I wait until they sold to ask for my part of money back. I called customer service my first time previous to the new year and ended up getting threw to them an they connected me very promptly with the Owner! John and I agreed if I waited until the new year and they hadn't sold him and I would work something out in the new year, that was 2018-2019. The new year came and passed and I called John again and suggested even a store credit be appropriate if it could help speed this process up, to which he kind of just snarled back at me. So I waited... once again I called customer service at the beginning of this winter season and was put threw to John and him being very frustrated told me if I could wait until the end of this tire season to see if they sold then he'd be able to refund me. Now it seems un-logical that a massive company such has Canadian Tire has a more difficult time being able to afford paying a customer back even though they have given nothing to the customer in product or service, they have a harder time affording that then the customer did paying it to Canadian Tire. Now around 2 weeks ago when I phoned John and asked about my money I was greeted with a very nasty, rude, condescending store owner whom I recorded the entire conversation because it so unbelievable and uncalled for. I know you have zero idea who I am has a person, but that man accused me of stealing from his store, of being a liar and a thief, and stating that he will not be paying my money, OWED TO ME FOR OVER 2.5 YEARS NOW, because he believed I had been stealing from his store. I told him that was absurd, that there are zero criminal charges against me and for good reason, and if there ever were it would be a breeze to beat them because I 100% bought everything ive ever gotten in life and its a hell of an insult to be accused a thief and dirtbag like this when I'm nothing the near. I was then told "I don't need a reason to ban you from my store, and starting today for the next 25 years I am banning you from shopping at my Canadian Tire store, reason being that I don't like your shopping habits". So in other words the fact that I'm not willing to lay down and let my once favorite big brand store literally walk all over me and keep my money, warrants reasonable grounds for me to be banned from this store. I have a certificate from Moncton Police Academy in policing and corrections, and I do beg to differ the petty law being brought forward in that issue alone. My spirt shrunk a little when he said that because Canadian Tire is by far not only my favorite store to go to but the store I spend far, far more money at then any other store! The few close friends and relatives that I've mentioned this too have all jokingly threw at me that its probably a very good thing considering ill save a hell of a lot of money by not being allowed at this Fort Frances store, but It really, really bums me out : (I am now demanding that I get what is owed to me, in a very, very, quick manor, and I also have every intention on taking this to the next level whatever that may be, considering my banishment from this facility for absolutely no reasonable grounds whatsoever. I have avoided small claims court, and I have avoided taking to Facebook, twitter and Instagram exposing the insane nightmare that this has been over the past 2.5 years, and I have avoided doing so in respect and absolute love for all the Canadian Tire stores across Canada that I have been too and enjoyed shopping at, and my friends list having over 2800 friends, all ranging from PEI, on through New Brunswick, Quebec and all of Ontario and Alberta, on all 3 social media platforms, I do not want other store's being boycott or looked down upon in the least in response to anything I post about this owner and store. I would be extremely appreciative a timely response and something to be done about this ASAP, I believe I've waited long enough and being a shy, passive person who tends to get walked on, I feel like I've taken enough punishment and awkward de-meaning conversations with this store owner, John Melgo. All I ask is for my full refund be paid to me by way of cheque so I can move on and forget about this incident, I would rather not take so much more time and end up having to create public exposure and get the communities backing and take this to small claims or worse, like I said previous, I LOVE Canadian Tire Stores and respect all the other hard working individuals whom are invested in the store and would rather not take a different route here, but am fully prepared to do so if needed.

Thanks in advance for your response and anticipated concern, have a great day,
Blaine Allen Caldwell
