I took my 2010 Ford Mustang into the Canadian Tire Auto Centre at 157 Vermillion Road here in Winnipeg for an 8:00 A.M. on Friday October 6th, 2023 appointment for a grease and oil change. The low tire pressure light on the dashboard was on so I told them to check the tires and turn off the light. They told me that they had to order tire sensors from the Ford Dealership. I waited for seven hours and then when I picked up my car I was charged $310.17 (Invoice #[protected]) and was told that they couldn't turn the light off and that I had to take my car in to the Birchwood Ford dealership to have the light turned off which was miles away. I made an appointment today at 12:30 P.M. at Birchwood Ford. I was told that the front left tire sensor that was replaced by Canadian Tire was defective. I was told that I had to go back to Canadian Tire and have the defective sensor replaced as it is under warrantee. I went to Canadian Tire and was told that the sensor can't be ordered but had to take my car back in so made another appointment for Tuesday October 10th. I have only 4,351 kilometers on the odometer as I am age 71 and have been driving for 55 years but cars are nothing but a big headache. The mechanics at Canadian are totally useless and they send me to the Ford Dealership where the mechanic diagnosed the problem in a few seconds. I have never had such poor service in 71 years and will never go back to the Canadian Tire auto service. I dread taking my car back on Tuesday as I will probably have to wait another 7 hours then get sent back to the Ford Dealership. This is clearly customer abuse and elder abuse. I am not use to having so much stress and poor service. Shame on your staff.
Please call [protected] and tell them not to give me the run around and tell them to finish the job and not send me away to see a real mechanic. Please help. I don't want anything to do with cars which is why I only have 4,351 kilometers and will never go back to the Canadian Tire service centre.
Desired outcome: Complete the job that I paid $310.17 for and not send me away because your mechanics don't know what they are doing. I want the light turned off.
Canadian Tire - The location I work at
I currently work at a location in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I’m also currently pregnant and I have missed some days due to Illness of my situation. I'm a full time permanent employee as on my contract that was signed joining the job. As of a couple of days ago, my new schedule for the week is suddenly under the minimum hours of a full time employee in Manitoba. I have tried addressing the issue, but no response has been made. I'm a single mom to be and feels like I’m being “punished” because I called in a couple of times due to being sick & pregnant? Doesn’t seem like employers are allowed to cut a full time employee's hours to part time with no discussion/ proper reasoning or newly signed contract.
Desired outcome: I would like the hours I’m entitled to as a full time employee.
Discrimination for being pregnant, human rights will not be any help either as they are purposefully unprofessional and unresponsive to help.
