The woman, Judy, at the drive-thru window consistently offers me two options of drink size when I order a combo meal, medium or large.

After placing a combo meal order, she will ask me what flavor of drink. After I tell her, she will ask me, "Medium or large?". In my opinion, this is deceptive, as the combo comes with the small, and if I answer "medium" or "large", I would be charged extra for upsizing the order.

Again, in my opinion, this is deceptive, as she should ask would you like to upsize the order to a medium or large. When you call her on it, she has always rephrased the question as I just suggested.

I have complained to Wendy's 800 number after each visit, but nothing has changed. I have asked her why she ask it that way, and told her it seems deceptive to me, and she replied, "My manager makes me do it that way".

Yes, this is minor. But I'm done with Wendy's. today I didn't not purchase my meal because of this, and went to Arbys instead.

I am neither a child or have a low IQ. And your right, nothing is going to change, except I will move on to another place that doesn't practice deceptive acts.

You can call me names all you want, but deceptive is deceptive.

I actually responded to you before I realized you were nothing more than a troll. I bid thee farewell, your replies have zero credibility to me.

Terrible complaint. You already know the options, so just say no to both. Plus, its a matter of pennies anyway. Suck it up. I'm not going to call you names because I have no reason to. I'm sure you are a fine competent person, I just find your complaint to be petty and easily avoided.

You will get a better response if you actually write to the corporate office of Wendy's, not calling an 800 number.

I just had this happen to me...
I was in a hurry and ordered a #6 meal and as the only price listed is a small, I assumed I was getting a small combo. I was not asked if I wanted my meal in small medium or large, I was just given the total of $7.07 which seemed a little steep for $5.89 plus tax.

When I got to the "pay" window I inquired about it. the employee at the window said it was because I " ordered the medium combo". I did not order a medium but like I said, I was in a hurry so I was not going to make a big deal about it.

I just think if they operate like this on every order that they take, they are really padding their bottom line at .59 cents per order.

I wonder when OP will go after McDonald's for asking everyone if they want fries with that?

You guys don't get it do you. However you are all trolls, I realise this now. That being said your replies have no credibility to me, Good Day all. IIB, I am not a child, maybe it is you who has a hard time understanding what she reads, since I already told you I am neither child nor have low IQ. I did not need a parent to tell me that you are all trolls, and that your posts have no credibility, I figured that myself.

It's not deceptive at all, it's up-selling. It's marketing. You know there is a small size. If you want small and they ask if you want medium or large, what should you say? "Neither, small is fine, thank you."

Just like when you change your oil. Would you like synthetic oil, a fuel filter change, etc? No, just the regular 10W30 will be fine, thanks for offering.

It's too much to ask consumers for some basic understanding these days. How trivial this complaint is. Sorry Wendy's up-charged you on 50-80 cents, but if you agreed to medium or large, you up-charged yourself.

Sorry don't know how to quote. Wanted to put Irish's posts under quotes.

Anyways Great reply Irish. I bet you are on food stamps yourself. None of you are going to understand that this is deceptive practice so I will move on now.

Well if you are neither a child, nor have a low IQ, than you must live under a rock, or had someone buy everything for you until now. You may not be a child, but even a nine year old knows that if you get something bigger, or more that you have to pay more. I think you are just looking for value meal coupons and, or a gift card or some type of compensation to make up for your woes. Hoping they will get down on their hands and knees, begging you to return with value meal coupons and or gift cards. If this is what you need to do to get free food, go on food stamps and walfare.

Yes, better to take your money to Arby's and eat a healthy sodium laden roast beef - who knew that their sandwiches actually make McDonald's seem like the diet of a health nut. OP is an idiot.
