I had an accident in the vehicle in Italy and £800 pounds was taken from my card. I purchased full coverage for such incidents and expected to be refunded after sending in all of the proof. Two months later and multiple emails and calls and no response. Constantly being told it is being looked into - avoid booking with this company unless you want a headache and to be ripped off. we picked up the car at the Bari Italy airport it took over 45 minutes, when we got to the pick up location at the lot, the car was extremely dirty inside and outside, the staff refused to clean it.
the car was less than half full with diesel.
as i am driving, within 100 KM the dashboard light for the DEV Blue came up and started signaling that the Dev blue levels were low and that i needed to fill up (that was my first time driving diesel ), as i stopped by the Gaz station the operator signaled that the levels were extremely low and i needed to fill-up otherwise the car will shut down, so i filled it with 10 liters (20 euros).
the automatic brakes kept on braking while i was driving on the highway (i believe the auto sensors need to be calibrated)
when I returned the car at the Catania, Italy airport, it was so non organized, it took us over 45 minutes to drop-off the car.
as soon as we left, i was sent a bill for drop-off (58 euros), i had already specified the drop=off location on my booking and was charged additional fee for it.
also i was charged for refueling (18 euros) and fuel (71.82 euros), ( I returned the car with more Gaz than when I picked it up. all fees were charged with an additional 22% tax.
needless to say, that the experience was mediocre and i need to be refunde for all additional charges and compensated for the lack of service and the dirty car.

Car rental scam
I used that website to rent a car in Orlando and there was scam that happened to me.
Shortly I arrived at the airport around an hour late because of the weather conditions and that's usually normal even with a few hours late, but I couldn't find any shuttle to pick me up to the rental office outside of the airport and after contacting them and no answer for more than an hour. They sent me a message saying that the reservation is cancelled and you basically I'll not get a refund. The company's name was seven auto.
What I learned about this company is that they do that a lot and they don't send shuttles to pick up customers and sometimes they even charge more fees (double the rent).
I contacted economybookings.com customer service and after around two weeks they sent me back saying that they will not issue a refund.

I pre booked a rental car in Bergen on July 4th for July 20th. Unfortunatley 46 hours before I was due to pick up the car my flights were cancelled and there were no other avaliable flights. I spoke to an economy bookings representative who said we were entitled to a partial refund if the cancellation was between 24-48 hours. This information was also on the website at the time of booking. I also received an email with the refund I was entitled to.
I have since sent time submitting a travel insurance claim for this unforeseen cancellation which was rejected. I have called economy bookings today who said I was not entitled to any refund due to a policy change. This is absolutley unacceptable and I would like a partial refund and apology as soon as possible.

Car rental refund for a car I canceled with the original provider one week before trip due to an personal injury.
I booked and paid upfront for a car with Economy Booking for a vehicle from Dollar Rent a Car in Kauai back in February for a car I had planned to use on June 30,2022 returning on July 9,2022. I contacted the provider Dollar Rent a car, one week prior to the trip and canceled the reservation. I was assured it was canceled. Once I arrived in Kauai I stopped by the rental counter just to ensure the reservation was canceled. When I returned from my trip I was told the only way to communicate with Economy Rent a Car was VIA email. I have written repeated emails with auto returns saying they are investigating and would be in touch soon. No refund and no response Fromm anyone from Economy
I was told the only way to contact Economy booking was by email which has gone no where. I contacted a booking agent today as she stated there was nothing on my refund in the computer. She also would not provide a physical mailing for Economy Booking in order to write them a letter to resolve my issue.
So far am out over $1004.77 dollars this company kept and so far does not want to discuss. I have asked repeatedly for a representative to contact me and I got nothing!

I reserved a vehicle through this company, when I got to airport to pick up vehicle, there were long lines and after about almost two hours standing in line they said there were no cars available. I was told I had to call economy for refund or would have to come back the next day to see if any cars were available. I tried getting in touch with economy, I was directed to an email which I sent them the next day after I went to airport and got another vehicle which I had to pay another $100 because those were the only vehicles available. I sent economy an email requesting refund for the day I lost, I never got a response from them.

I have rented a car in Economy Bookings for the 9th-14th of July 2022.
I paid full coverage in advance, but when I went to France to pick up the car, they charged me for full coverage again.
Numerous emails to the customer support with a little reply, or no at all. Explained everything in detail and sent an invoice from France. But no help from customer services.

I am still waiting for a refund, 2 months later.
In early June, in Italy, I made a booking through your website but wanted to modify the time by a couple of hours. Your website did not provide the option of modifying the booking, so I was forced to cancel it and make another booking in order to correct it. However, after I cancelled and went straight back within 1min to book it with the modified hours, the car had disappeared from your website. I wanted the car but your website's poor functionality made this impossible. I received nothing.
You then charged me a cancellation fee because I made the booking and cancelled it within 48 hours of the booking. Your 48 hour policy makes sense if a car is booked a week in advance and a car is then put aside, and then the customer pulls out 1 day before the booking. However, in my instance, I made the booking and then was forced to cancel it within about 1min. What cost to your organisation could possibly have occurred in that 1min window? It's all automated at that stage. Ironically, the automation is what caused me the problem of not being able to modify the booking on your website; whereas booking through a human would allow that!
The stress and mental strain of trying to rent a car through your website for a fair price in Italy at that short notice was quite high. I'm still annoyed by the whole thing a couple of months later. All I wanted was to hire a car - it really should have been a simple process. And yet I've had money taken from me and no explanation. It's been a bit stressful.
The lack of attention and communication from your company on this has been appalling.

I booked and arranged to collect a hire car on the same day at Key West and paid in full. When I went to collect the car I was told none were available. I immediately called Economy Bookings and was referred to their website, stating I needed to email them and wait 5 to 21 days for a reply. After weeks of chasing them, I finally got a response this morning to say they will not offer a refund. So, to be clear, I paid for a car and a service that I did NOT receive and I have paid $780 which I believe has been obtained fraudulently.
This practice is illegal, you have taken my money in full in advance and not provided the goods and services stated. Do the decent thing and refund my money or I will persue this in a court of law.

On May 23,2022 I had made a reservation for a car, clearly stating that I was relocating from Puerto Rico to Texas due to a new job, I was picking up the car in Austin Airport and dropping off at San Antonio were I would be relocating. Upon arrival to pick up the car I was denied the car because I had no return flight. The booking agent said all I needed was a valid driver's license and original credit card, she never said anything about needing a return flight, I was stranded for hours with my wife at the airport and now there denying me a refund because I didn't cancel the reservation with in the time limit prior to picking up the car. Booked a rent a car at last minute, that means 27 hours before to pick up, same as the flight ticket. A couple hours later I got a phone call from a family member to let me know that one of my family members got positive on Covid and I was too close for few hours. I decided to cancel my trip just in case because it.
Airline immediately cancel and refund my money, same as the hotel, they also refund me the administrative charges, then I try to contact EconomyBookings but it was closed, no phone access, I called the rental provider and they told me that ther're not the same company and they don't even have my reservation, they ask me to deal with Economy directly. After I send few emails like 9 hours later I got an email confirming the cancellation of the car rental, but nothing related with the refund. After a while and a lot of emails I got an email stated that since my cancellation was not into theis grace period (48) hours they cannot offer me any refund.
But how can I get those 48 hours when my booking was on less time? also they have a Covid policy where they offer a refund in case of covid. Now they're denied to give me a refund and the car rental don't get any money. They charge me full amount for a service not provided, how come is this legal?

I rented a car at the Philadelphia airport through economy bookings. I noticed my flight left at 1215 am on the 2nd of June 2022 so I tried to change the time to pick up the car because I thought I arrived on the 3rd instead of the second. I made the original reservations on 24 May 2022. Thrifty rental car was never paid so I ended up paying twice

I book a rental car at BOS, Thrifty car rental I puck up the car June 4 2022, on my way home I noticed that the car was shaking when pressed the brake, and pull to the left side... I call Thrifty they give instructions to go to BDL an get an exchange... once I arrived to BDL I was told that no cars available for me... call back Thrifty, The car was not safe to drive so I have have no choice to returned the car, then i have to wait long time until they send me an Uber to go back home .. I made rhe complain to Tracy and EconomyBookings and no answer so far about all the money that I paid when I made the reservation. I ENDED WITH NO CAR RENTAL AND NO MONEY ON MY TRIP.

I booked a rental car through EconomyBookings. When I arrived at the Thrifty car rental at the New Orleans airport after waiting in line for over an hour with only 29 people in front of me I knew something was wrong. When I finally Got to the counter I was told that there were no cars available and there may be some available later or the next day but could not guarantee it. I was advised that if I accepted the reservation I could not get a refund and was advised to call and cancel the reservation which I did through Thrifty but since it was booked through EconomyBookings I would have to contact them for a refund. I tried calling them from the airport with no luck, only rang and then dropped several times. No representative and no way to leave a message. I tried calling several more times the following days with the same results. I tried disputing the charge with Citibank and after a couple months the dispute was denied because they said “I failed to pick up the car.” Which was unavailable because there were no cars available. At no time during the dispute did EconomyBookings attempt to contact me. I will advise everyone to not go through EconomyBookings for anything. How can they charge for a rental car when there were no cars available! Absolute rip off with no customer service!

I rented a car through this company in Porto Seguro, Brazil, from 9th to 18th June (booking B17928876), and paid half the price in advance.
When I arrived at the rental store, they said I would have to pay the full price, since their system did not accuse any payment.
I tried to contact EconomyBookings by phone, WhatsApp and email, and no answer at all.

Economy booking is a rip off
My case is simple airline decide at last minute to change itinerary arriving at night instead of day time the rental car company they gave me close at 6pm prior my arrival. They will not consider individual cases; they just go by their cancelation policies without any consideration. They say they are unable to offer me refund because cancelation was at 24 hours. The cancelation I made was because obvious reason, flight would not arrive at the time expected which unable me to pick up the car. This company do not care about their customers neither they care if they loose customers. They just charge you without any further investigation or consideration. They even have a claim that they are not responsible if the airline cancel your flight...this lets you know that they will charge you period. They will not wave you nothing even when is out of your hand...Very different from hotwire (they do listen to individual cases and will even wave the fee if they notice is a situation out of your hands...never again with economy bookings. Stay away from them, they are for their benefit only not the customer.

We had a car rental for June 6th to June 12th, our flight was june 5th at 9:30 pm. We got a message from our airline that our flight was cannceled as of 12:10 that afternoon and their next flt wasn't until thursday the 9th at 9:30 so we couldn't pick the car until the 10th, needless to say we had to cancle all of the travel plans, so we did give them at least 30 hours notice and their responce was that they require 48 hrs notice to issue a refund and we agreed to that by booking with them, so I'm suppose to eat the $398.87, coustermer service was unyielding not helpful at it was cut and dry with them not avery good business plan

I want to see where I agreed that if you committed fraud, I will be happy and hand you my money. That does not exist because I didn't agree to that. I want to see your legal background and your legal base, as to why you simply said that you cannot make a refund in this situation. I'm not going to stop until you show me the legal foundations.
