EconomyBookings.com Refund of security deposit

Booking ref B92667220

Car hired on Crete. Returned on 15th May, all in perfect condition. Was told the security deposit would be unblocked no problem. The fee is still charged to my credit card.

I have still not received the refund of 900 euro for the security deposit. Have contacted via the support email address many times and still received no help.

Please respond.

Good afternoon

When I boomed this car rental I checked all term and Condition and it stated the pre authorization for this type of car is R7500.00

On picking up the car the requested another R3500.00 for fuel and extras.

Under the terms and conditions it states

That R7500.00 is required foe excess ,fuel and VAT. So why did we need to pay an extra R3500.00 for fuel and extra.

Should this not be partr of the R7500.00.

This is alot of money to be taken when not expected.

I need to have this refunded ASAP if you agree with my dispute.

EconomyBookings.com Fraud

On November 27th 2021, I went to Orlando International Airport to pick up the car I had paid for IN FULL that could fit 4 people. But little did I know that that was going to be the most horrible experience in my entire life.

When I got to the Airport, Thrifty agents asked me for my credit card because I needed to pay for a deposit of 200$ and when I asked why, they told me it was because they didn't know if "I was going to steal the car", and that is DISCRIMINATION BECAUSE WE'RE LATINOS, and is punished under the law. I let that pass because I Needed the car and when he swiped the car, he swiped it for 2.000$, not 200$ without my consent, with me knowing that. I didn't know until I CALLED THE BANK and they told me, and then, after calling the police, they did the charge back. But that was not it.

When you took the deposit, you told me that there were any cars left from the ones I HAD PAID FOR IN FULL, and that they could only offer me a car that could fit 2 people, TWO PEOPLE. Now, I'm telling you, that's a breach of contract because I paid for something that you offered and then, you're offering me something way different, that's on your company.

After that, 4 employees at the counter of Thrifty in the ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ON NOVEMBER 27TH, TRIED TO FORCE ME, MADE ME HAVE A PANIC ATTACK because I needed to pay insurance from them, otherwise I couldn't get the car. And that wasn't what ECONOMY BOOKINGS TOLD ME IN MY RESERVATION, WHICH I'M ATTACHING. ALSO, I didn't have to pay for insurance because I HAVE IT IN MY CREDIT CARD AND THEY KNEW IT. Again, one more time with different words, I had insurance, I paid in full and agents refused to give me the car. I arrived on time, DID EVERYTHING THEY ASKED ME, paid for the deposit and they refused me to give me the car, I NEVER HAD THE CAR I PAID IN FULL AND STILL I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY AND NEVER HAD THE CAR.

Now, you're providing Bank of America with some documents saying that I didn't pick up the car on the date agreed and that's why you charged me the money, BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE, AND YOU CAN CHECK THE CCTV CAMERAS ON NOVEMBER 27TH ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, THRIFTY COUNTER AND YOU'RE GOING TO SEE ME ARRIVING ON TIME, ON THE DATE AND ALSO ME LEAVING THE COUNTER AND LEAVING THE AIRPORT IN A TAXI BECAUSE THE EMPLOYEES REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE CAR, EVEN WHEN I HAD EVERY RIGHT TO HAVE IT.

One more time:

1. charged me a deposit of "2.000" and when I called the police, they returned it.

2. forced me into buying insurance I didn't need as I have it in my credit card.

3. paid for a car that could fit 4 people and tried to give me one that could only fit 2.

4. discriminated me

5. didn't give me the car. I never had it, it's not that I didn't get there at time, it's that they REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO ME, IT WAS YOUR BREACH OF CONTRACT, NOT MINE, IT WAS YOUR FAULT.

Desired outcome: I need my money back, I need my whole money back because I never had the car and it was their fault that they didn't;t give it to me. MY DESIRED OUTCOME is that you return my money right now. I NEED MY 1457,91 USD BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EconomyBookings.com A Minivan Reservation Refund Unresolved

Hello Everyone,

So I made a reservation for a minivan the day of March 21 2022 til March 26 2022. I arrived an hour early to thrifty and upon arrival I was asked to provide a 500 dollar deposit, of which I had and provided. What I was not informed of was that in order to rent a vehicle I needed to undergo a credit check with Thrifty. This 3rd party ECONOMY BOOKINGS should have INFORMED me of this. I am 21 and have little to no credit history so of course my credit score came back insufficient and was declined a vehicle initially because of my age. I was left stranded without a vehicle. As I was unable to aquire a vehicle through this 3rd party ECONOMY BOOKINGS or through Thrifty, I ended up having to hitch a ride. The travel part of my trip was a complete disaster! I have tried to contact economy bookings several times over, by both email and phone calls to their HQ in the UK; all to no avail. It has now been 3 months and I have not received my 375 dollars back.

⚠️CONSIDER THIS YOUR WARNING ⚠️

My disappointment in the experience I've had with this company cannot be put into words. I need a refund.

Dear Sir, Madam,

I would like to claim a refund of my rent a car reservation fee in amount of 91,36 eurs on 23.4.2022 which I made via your App Economybookings, Booking NR. B81624614.When I arrived at Fuerteventura Airport and checked at Inter rent office they refused to give me the car because they claimed I came too late (at 17.00 pm)

On Voucher it is clearly written their office works till 22.30 but they still refused to give me the car- despite my reservation and payment was valid for the whole day.I attach their confirmation I didnt get the car for which I made reservation via your platform Economybooking.

Economy booking don't care about individual cases neither they care about their customers, even if your flight company change itinerary at the very last minute making impossible for me to pick the car on time; the company just want to charge you without any consideration. Awful company. I will never recommend them.

Is it some kind of internal business between EconomyBookings and Car rental companys ?

I had my booking at 11:00 and arrived by 13:00. 2 hours late because of my work which was not foreseen while I booked the car.

Neither Rental company , Nor Economy Bookings was ready to help me. they just said since I came late, the booking is invalid.

my question : who is eating my paid money ?

EconomyBookings.com Car rental (sixt Amsterdam)

Booked car from Economybookings with booking number B22075754. Booking was for Sixt Car at Amsterdam. The shop manager denied giving the car despite showing him international driving permit and driving license. He clearly stated we cannot give you car because of 2 things:

1. We don't give car to Indian license holders

2. We have not yet received payment from Economy bookings.

I had already paid in full while booking 1 month back. When contacted to economy bookings they behaved helpless and did nothing about the situation. And more over now they are even denying refunding the amount.

Be careful guys. These guys are cheat. They will take your money and cheat you.

I have done booking via Economy booking and paid in full.

The major condition of having a Credit card was not at all highlighted earlier. It was there among general terms, agreed.

My booking was for next day, so i lost all my money immediately.

It's really shocking and requesting a full payback.

No one will easily find the need of a Credit card before payment process.. It's a trap.

Kindly understand

Desired outcome: A full payback , understanding my shock and feeling as i have got cheated.I am doing online purchases for years and this is really sad.

El día 1 de abril 2022 hice una reservación para recoger un carro en el aeropuerto Jonh F. Kennedy el 13 de abril a las 8:00am y entregarlo el mismo día a las 3:00pm en el aeropuerto Bradley de Hartford Ct. No me dieron el carro porque olvide mis tarjetas de crédito. La señora de la oficina de Trifthy rent cae.no quiso aceptar la tarjeta de mi esposa y nos quedamos varados en New York por más de 8 horas por ese incidente. El número de Booking es. B85309331. Yo pague 198.48 por la reservación y he tratado de recuperar mi dinero y nadie me a ayudado. Espero y se me devuelva el dinero.

My name is Ming Xia. I had a booking in Boston airport in April 2019, but it was cancelled because of COV-19. Every beginning, I was told the refund would be issued within 60 days. Then the refund was postponed to 90 days later. Finally I was told I could only get voucher (B21715846, $266.33) instead of promised refund. The expiration date would be July 1, 2022. When I tried to search car rental in my nearby area, I was always told there were not car available in this area. That means I can not use it. I was trying to reaching economy bookings by calling [protected]. But I was told I have to contact customer support by email. They do not have a phone number. So I am stuck now.

I just want to get the refund. But it was too hard. I have been waiting for two years. Is there any way I could file a dispute for this issue? This is the worst service I have ever met !

I hab a booking and was schedule to pick up car at 1:30pm and I ended up arriving at 2:30 pm at the airport, by the time I got out of the plane with their protocols and picking up the suitcase was almost 3 then I had to find the phone number on the paperwork that was in my suitcase for the shuttle, which took long to come, by the time I arrived at foco it was 3:30pm, upon arrival I was marked as no show! I travelled over 24 hrs to hear that.

They told me it was nothing that they could do, so I called economy booking and they told me to contact support.

Which took weeks for then to followed up and now that they did they told me I arrived 15 minutes earlier? How if they had asked me for all the boarding passes?

Please help!

Desired outcome: Im not asking for my money back just the a voucher for future travels.

I was marked as i no show as Foco did that. I was there an hour later! You guys have to put into consideration that is covid time and things are not going as smooth as before!

The airline was late, is nothing i could do, i guess your plane was never late arriving right? I contact support and has been over 20 days and they still haven't responded! If this doesn't get resolved i will take your company to the credit bureau and to the news as well and hopefully others will not go through the same as i did.

We booked a car reservation through Economy Bookings, when we arrived at the airport the car rental service did not have any reservation for us. We had to pay out of pocket even though we were charged through Economy Bookings. We contacted them and were told we had to contact them via email. We emailed them on two separate occasions with only an automated response that they received our email. It wasn't until we filed a dispute with our bank that they responded to our third email stating that we already initiated the dispute response and that they can no longer assist us in the matter.

Reservation: B34148088
Booked a car Toulouse Downtown but was later given a location (174 Avenue des Etats-Unis 31200 Toulouse) far from downtown. I called and was told that I would have to pay an extra $200 to have the pick-up/drop-off changed to downtown even if that was the initial agreement. As I did not want to pay extra for something that we had agreed, I was first hanged-up and then I was told that was not possible and that the reservation will be cancelled.
This is totally unacceptable

The agent forced me to take bigger car and said this is free upgrade

I extended one day they charged me double
I came late charged half day of the double amount

The guys of the agent are very rude in talking to customer

The saud car pick and return is airport but when I arrived the office is not in the airport, that caused delay

Jonathan Byrd is name, account number B42991647 this is my forth request for refund to be return to my account to no avail. My emails have been answered only ignored. I am well within their policy for return but nothing. I will pursue other adventures to receive my refund. Economy booking group is not honest in their business dealings with their customers. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

EconomyBookings.com I've tried to call these people since july 31 2021

I booked a rental car with this economy booking its a scam We didn't get the car and they won't return my money I'm going to seek legal action when I find out who to come for believe that... they will not answer the phone. We had to lay a parent to rest so we need a rental to get to Kentucky to say our goodbyes but the ric airport said they don't deal with third parties, so we are due our refund for no service

EconomyBookings.com Failure to pay refund for cancelled booking

I made a booking for a rental car in Dunedin, New Zealand to collect on August 14th 2021. I cancelled the booking on August 11th, confident that it was well outside the 48 hour period. I received the cancellation confirmation, advising that refund would be paid into my account within 21 days. It is over 5 weeks now, and despite calling two weeks ago and being reassured that refund was being processed, the refund has still not been credited to my account. The Booking reference is B48548949.

Desired outcome: My refund is repaid asap.

EconomyBookings.com No answer to full coverage request

Last month I made the booking with number B95274682 on EconomyBookings.com, that included also full coverage.

After the rental ended, I submitted the full coverage request on the website on the 18th of August, but I got no answer in almost a month. Normally, they say that they will reply in 7 - 10 working days.

I called their call center a couple of times, but each time the call center operator just says that they will notify the responsible person/department, and nothing happens.
