EconomyBookings.com Car rental overcharge and no customer service

Terrible outfit. Snagged a great price for a full size rental car for $25 per day in Vegas. Billed for $945.60, about $75 a day. Asked multiple times for DETAILED costs to see what taxes or charges were included. NO RESPONSE, only same Total Amount. No Communications. No customer service. Grrrr. Our rental car was struck by a large Elk in Utah and badly damaged. My USAA car insurance paid for damages except $500 deductible. Deductible to be paid by credit card used to pay the INFLATED charges by Economy Booking but need a breakdown of the charges from them. Have requested this for over 4 months. NO RESPONSE!

Desired outcome: Provide a detailed list breakdown of charges.

EconomyBookings.com Booking number: B87194635, I bought full coverage insurance for car rental through EconomyBookings, I submitted my claim but didn't receive any reply

My booking number is B87194635, I rented a car for my Malaysia trip during Dec28th-Dec31st,22 via Economy bookings website, and I bought a full coverage insurance for the car. During the trip a small accident happened and the car was lightly damaged on the front bumper and we paid MYR1106.00 to the local car rental company for repairing work. On Jan5th I submitted all the necessary supporting documents to the email address [protected]@bookinggroup.com as per the instruction from Economy Bookings website, address to "full coverage manager -Aleksandr ". It is very disappointing that I didn't receive any reply from them so far, as I have been sending many chasing emails in the past two months, the only reply I got is the "Auto Acknowledgement email" each time. I 'd like to know if my claim is processed and I want to get my claim amount MYR1106.00, since it should be covered by the full coverage insurance.

EconomyBookings.com Car Rental charged cancellation fee even when there was no contract

On December 12, 2022 I requested a car reservation. The site states that no payment will be processed until the request is confirmed. They responded with a much higher quote so I cancelled and sent an email confirming the cancellation immediately. Hence, no payment should have been processed. They charged a $67 cancellation fee anyway and have not responded to any requests to make this right. Each time they confirm that they are working on it, but then do not respond any further. This was for request B64147025.

Desired outcome: Have the cancellation fee refunded

This is the same answer as always and avoids the key question: the amount refunded was $67 short, supposedly for the cancellation fee. The total amount should never have been charged and the cancellation fee should not have been charged, because I never accepted the new, higher quote.

I have rented a car from delpaso car hire company on economy bookings website. The rentaI was from 13/12/2022 to 21/12/2022 at Malaga, Spain. I have also taken a full coverage B31241649 insurance for that car from economy bookings and not from delpaso car hire company. I have damaged the left back side of the car and was charged by delpaso car hire company of 774,40 euro on the 22/12/2022 which was normal.

I have claimed a full coverage refund from economy bookings insurance and send all required documents to theme for being refunded by their full coverage. They confirmed me reception and ask me for additional documents which i send theme. They answered me that i will be refunded by 60 business days. After more than 3 months, i never receive my refund. Moreover i write them 2 time to get update about my case, they never answer me. And i always wait for being refunded of 774,40 euro.

- car photo damage

- proof of being charged by delpasocar hire company(receipt and my bank account)

- proof of writing to economy bookings about my full coverage claim

EconomyBookings.com Car Rental. Late? No car and no refund!

I rented a car for 5 days and paid for the charges fully. Our plane arrived in Houston, Texas 3 hours late. I called the car company and they said I was late and they did not have a car to give me. Called the customer service and she could only offer to book another car and charged me again for another rental. I trusted them with my money once and was ripped off. Now she wanted my money again. I was told to ask for a refund by email. A month later, I have no refund and had no car. It is an airport car rental. Are you expect every flight to be on time? Ridiculous services and no care for customers. Very Bad. It is a scam. The website says: "We will look after you before, during and after". I got nothing of that. I got nothing. An unfair outcome and ruined my holidays.

Desired outcome: My refund please.

B96309788. I am still having terrible trouble with economybookings.com. I rented a car in Ireland for 3 weeks and had to replace tyre. They reimbursed only 70e instead of 132e and the last email said would put back in my account within 10 working days. It is now 12 days and still nothing. Not a great company to deal with and it will turn me off dealing with them in the future.

Desired outcome: Still not sorted out and over 3 months now.

EconomyBookings.com Car rental that was never used but got charged for

I rented a car from economy bookings for vacation back in December (end of Dec) when all the airlines were cancelling flights. I didn't find out until 24 hours before that my flight was cancelled, I then attempted to cancel my car rental and still got charged $159 for it, not a full refund. I tried calling and was told that I did not cancel 48 hours before. I also tried emailing TWICE since December and has YET gotten a response back. This is almost TWO months after the fact. It is not within my control when my flight got cancelled and I was not able to fly out. This company should not be charging customers on services they did not provide. I've never had to deal with a car rental company that would not fully refund when a car wasn't rented out.

My booking # is B48586398. My total charge was $208.99 and was charged $159.36 for service that was not used due to no control of my own.

I emailed to [protected]@bookinggroup.com on 12/30/22 AND on 2/11/23 and like I said NO response at all.

I need the $159.36 refunded ASAP. This is WRONG and NOT OK!

On January 18,2023, Car Rental for economy car was done & paid for completely online through the EconomyBookings.com and to bring my Drivers Licenses for pickup No additional payment needed; the website had NO specifications of providing them any credit cards and neither Only for specific geographic locations for a car rental & on January 19,2023 they were paid through my Bank $232.45 for pickup on January 22,2023 at 7:00am. Upon arrival on January 22,2023 @ 7am at the Pickup Location of the NE Denver at the "NU New Car Rental on 81st, the Car Rental Representative asked for my Credit Card and asked where my destination was and I replied Kansas City he then replied that their Company did not service that specific geographic location, East of Denver; Only West Geographic Area such as Las Vegas, Phoenix, or Califorina and that it was going to be a BMX car and I told him I didn't want a BMX. After conversation over the situation and NO VEHICLE RENTAL, They have Not Returned MY $232.45 back into my Bank Account as of yet and I haven't spoken to anyone since January 22,2023 as I was enroute to another totally different Car Rental Business to pickup another Vehicle with No Problem pickup and neither returning it with a 1 day extention. Today, There is no available Customer Service phone # to contact a person only recordings for everything on their so called CONTACT US.

Desired outcome: My $232.45 Reimbursed back into my Bank Account there was no pickup there and neither any other type of transaction. SPECIFY GEORGRAPHIC AREAS FALSE ADVERTISING

Esta empresa estafa a las personas ofreciéndoles vehículos con cobertura básica, pero en el momento del retiro tal cobertura no existe, así que deberás pagarla de nuevo. Tengo la captura de pantalla de la oferta y la copia del voucher que lo prueban. Les he llamado y reclamado por mail. Luego de 40 días de espera he recibido un mail que dice que mi "ticket" se ha resuelto, pero no me devolvieron el dinero. Son unos auténticos estafadores.

EconomyBookings.com Car deposit still not reversed with economy bookings

I rented a car through Economy Bookings while in Panama. The rental period was from January 19 to February 1st, 2023.

The car was returned to Ace Rent a Car on February 1st at Avenida Marcos A Gelabert Panama City, Panamá Province, Panama. It passed all inspection when I returned it. The Ace rent a car employee was ready to reverse the 1500$ USD car deposit. When I entered my credit card in the Interac machine, the reversal of the 1500$ was refused. We tried to reverse the deposit more then once but the transaction was declined. I was there with 2 other Panamanian friends. We were advised to go the the head office of Ace rent a Car in Panama City. I went there with my friends. The Ace rent a car employee also attempted to reverse the 1500$ deposit but the transaction was declined. The lady then sent emails to the accounting department to advise of the situation.

I did call my bank and they told me the reversal can be done manually by the rental company. Here I am 2 weeks later and short 1500$ USD. I have rented cars from National and Dollar, through Expedia and never had this issue. I called customer service at Ace Rent a Car, they looked at my file, and said since the rental was done through a third party, it will take 10 to 14 days to reverse the transaction. Today is the 10th day, so I need to wait another 4 days. If I still do not see the reversal, I need to call Ace customer service again.

Desired outcome: I want my 1500$ USD deposit reversed to my credit card. All paperwork can be provided upon request.

EconomyBookings.com Full insurance on car

Dear Sir/Madam,

The company only refunded me 70euro regarding the tire and not the 142 euro I paid for the new tire. I emailed Economybookings back regarding this a couple of days ago including a copy of what I paid and they haven't responded. They originally said they will contact Thrifty to find out how much I am owed but they obviously didn't contact them as promised. They have turned me off booking any insurance with them in the future. I was so disappointed with their level of service and professionalism.

I booked a car online to be picked up at the LAX site for Dollar Car Rentals. I gave them my credit card information. I picked up the car and had to give my credit card information at the Dollar Rental site. I got the car and all was fine until I reviewed my credit card charges. I was charge twice. Once on my January credit card invoice and once on my February invoice. The first charge, ¥126,724 or 867Euro was paid to EconomBookings.com (Riga) apparently. Yes, Riga in Latvia. A place I have never been. The second charge was for the actual rental in Los Angeles. I want my money refunded for the Riga charge. According to my Credit card invoice the EconomyBookings.com (Riga) was 2022/12/06.

Desired outcome: Please refund the Riga charge from 2022/12/06.

This complaint was not resolved. The company in question always sends the same response but never responds again after the complainant goes to the site recommend by EconomyBookings. I gave them all the pertinent information they asked for and that is the end of it. They never respond again. To suggest this has been resolved is premature.

The problem has not been resolved. The company EconomyBookings has not answered my complaint to their "support team" even after I gave them my booking number. They only send out their standard, "Thank you for bringing this to our attention..." reply. They have no intention of resolving the issue and Complaints Board is most likely a company designed to help companies like EconomyBookings. Resolved? I did what they asked and I received no reply. How can you seriously say the issue was resolved. What's your kickback?

My previous complaint was marked as resolved in error.

They did respond, but only to tell me to contact them, which I did, but they still haven't answered my questions and haven't processed a refund to me, I keep getting a standard reply that doesn't address the issues I've encountered with them and Italy Car Hire.

I still need a refund!

I'm going round in circles, they are refusing to read all of my explanations/reasons for requesting a refund. It's now been over 5 months and I'm still trying to get a human response to my case that considers the extenuating circumstances that meant I cancelled my booking just minutes outside of the 24 hour cut off time, and they haven't considered that this was done just hours after the booking was confirmed in the first place.

Italy Car Hire refused to cancel my booking when at their desk (if they had it would have been outside of 24 hours, I still feel the incorrect booking date was a system change, and not my mistake), which after arriving late at the airport due to a flight delay, meant that it was impossible for me to cancel the booking outside of 24 hours.

Dear all,

Greetings, I have booked a car through on line with economybooking.com (booking confirmation number B21314100) the cost was USD 514.779. When arrived to IAH airport in Houston I went to the agency to cooler my rental car however the agency (SIXT) refused to give my the car due to not accepting my electronic driving licence, they told me that I had to communicate with economy booking to cancel the booking and asking for refund which I did with no response.

I bought a car rental with a full insurance package on their website for $269. On the spot at Europcar Mexico, I was told that they did not accept this insurance and eventually extorted an additional $2350 from me. It doesn't matter who cheated me - at the moment I accuse Europcar because I was really deceived. It is important that EconomyBookings has not written a single response to my inquiries for 10 days.

Desired outcome: Response! Would be nice?

Booking Number: B96308788. I booked car rental in Dublin Airport from November 3rd until November 22nd and paid for full coverage for insurance. During that time, I went over a piece of metal on a main road coming from Wexford to Waterford, Ireland and got a damaged tire and I had to replace it, It cost me 145 euro. I emailed economy bookings and they assured me that I was covered and to send on details including the credit card I booked from. This was sent in early December and it hasn't been resolved yet. They sent an automated email saying they will contact me if need any more details. This should have been straight forward. They are an awful company to deal with and I will definitely wont be taking their fake insurance out any time I rent out a car. The fee I paid was more than I paid for the new Tire so I would have been better off not taking out. When I also got to Dublin Airport, I had to pay 22 euro per day as they said this insurance wasnt any good in Ireland. Customers don't realise that when paying insurance from them per day and nothing goes wrong is that it is dead mooney and better off not paying for this service.

I rented a car in Poland with full coverage insurance. Unfortunately I had an accident in which a rear bumper was scratched.

I paid for the damages to the rent-a-car company as instructed and filed claim on November 3, 2022, 7 days after the completion of the rental of the vehicle which was within the period allowed, submitting all documents requested.

After few weeks I was informed that the process usually takes 35 days but may need up to 90 days.

As I did not hear back from them within 35 days,

I contacted them through email to inquire update and progress on the investigation, to which I have not received any response.

I can not get hold of them on either phone or email. Poor communication and service provided by them. I have had one response from them a the start to reply with proof and documents. I replied to them with all relevant documents e. g invoice; booking; statements but no reply since.

Today is the 90th day from the submission of the paperwork, and I have not heard anything at all.

The phone number listed on her web site +[protected] is not responding.

The company not returning calls,

I require a refund for this terrible and dangerous service.

I rented a car for 40 days with Economy Booking a day before departure from Kelowna, BC. for $1600.00 Cdn.

Arriving at Toronto airport at the Dollar Rental Car desk, they noticed my license had expired.
My license office was 2000 Miles away and I realized they would not be able to rent me a car.

I asked Dollar if I could switch rental to my girlfriend. Dollar advised me I would have to contact Economy Booking to facilitate that change.

I desperately attempted to contact Economy Booking on a noted Emergency Basis. When they finally got back to me November 26 and conveyed to me said that contract had expired (24 Hrs.) Dollar conveyed to me contract was for 48hrs. Booking contacted me a week later and told me I would have to deal with Dollar to facilitate change.

So I'm out $1600.

I have instructed my credit card company TD Visa to facilitate my complaint. I haven’t received a reply from Visa.

This in my view is border line fraud. Economy Booking and Dollar Rental had no consideration for me their customer and both made no attempt to resolve the issue.

Economy Booking advised me that unfortunately because of costs they incurred as well as their supplier the could not credit me anything.

After I received this decision from Economy Bookings I instructed them to have a supervisor call me. No call! No correspondence from them.

I'm looking for legal recourse against Economy Booking and Dollar Rental Car. I'm considering filing suit and getting Visa fraud division involved.

They charged me $1600.00 for no product or services provided and the real dilemma is neither company made an attempt to support me in resolving these issues.

Products used:
Had to rent car from another company under my girlfriends name for $1500.00. Zoom Car Rental.

The irony is that I have received several e-mails from Economy Booking, wondering if I was able to rent a car and if I was happy with my rental experience.

Desired outcome: I realize that certain costs were incurred by rental parties. I would think 75% refund of total amount paid would be fair.
