Dollar Tree An exchange

On May 6, we had a beautiful weeeing at goldwater Lake in Prescott, AZ.

We spent a huge amount of money on decoration, plates, glasses, etc, etc.

More that one person was involved in purchasing. Among items purchased were $ Ceremony Signs with arrows. We could not use them as not one pointed the correct way. I ended up with the four signs. I took them to the Dollar Tree on Gail Gardner in Prescott. Whomever you trained as a day manager lacked every rule on dealing with a customer. He was aa very youngboy/man who was extrememly rude telling me he could not exchang the signs for four other items in the store. It was quite embarassing in front of other customers. For him to have thought that I would have taken those bulky signs without paying for them is absurd. I did not ask for money. I had many receipts for other items. He didn't even say he'd look through the receipts to see if they were on one receipt. He was not dealing with a shoplifter, but a well educated person. With as hard as it is to hire, you must have rushed him through a crash course, leaving PR behind.

As for him sayin NO EXCHANGES WITHOUT A RECEIPT, is wrong. I have been behind people exchanging without receipts. WalMart, Dillards. J.C. Penneys will take your driver's licenss and give a store credit at times. Please spend more time training those you put in charge of your stores! This person has not been at this store as long as I have shopped there. No longer will I be a customer, will stop in at the Prescott Valley store when I am in that area.

Desired outcome: I have no need for the ceremony signs after the wedding. I'd like to get four items in place of the signs.

Dollar Tree Employee

On Saturday 5/27/2023 I was at the Dollartree located at 2445 International Boulevard, Oakland, CA 94601. I paid for my items w/employee Heather Mclaughlin. Unfortunately she inappropriately said something about me to one of my relatives and I very calmly told her to stay out of my business. She immediately started screaming and hollering, told me to "get the [censored] out of my store you [censored]ing [censored]". At which time the manager Yvonne, whom was at another register yelled out "hey what's going on". I walked out at that time. Said employee lives in my apartment complex she brought the issue to me at which time we argued, she was totally out of control, threw a beer at me (she is a well known alcoholic) and knocked me to the ground at which time I called the authorities and pressed charges.

Dollar Tree 2 workers

May 23 2023 at 11:30 am I went to shop for some items I needed and I was so happy that I found everything I needed. I was getting out of a aisle going to the next turning into the other where there are cookies and spices when I seen 2 employes one with a black shirt and one with a blue shirt and they were loading up a cart with boxes the girl in the blue seen me making my turn to the aisle so she moved out of the way. The other girl in the black shirt saw me as well and continued putting her boxes in her cart. So I stood there and I said to my self she is going to move right now when she is done putting 1 more box in the cart. But she didn’t she continued putting more and more boxes in the cart knowing I was waiting for her to move so I could pass and just get wat I was going to get. The other employee in the blue shirt turn to see me and turned to see the employee in the black shirt and gave her a look like let this customer pass but the girl in the black didn’t care about me. So the girl in the black shirt finally gave me eye contact and she still didn’t want to move so I passed could she moved a little bearly passing and she told me that I could have gone around when I was already there very rude very unprofessional and they both employees started to tell me I had to say excuse so they could let me pass and to go around.

Desired outcome: For this not to happen to any other customer no one should feel that they’re being bullied just for trying to shop.

Dollar Tree All of my grocery items

Today 05/22/2023 The workers followed me though out the store and some of the customers. I went home as soon as I left and tried to eat my bologna, bread, pickles vinegar and mushrooms etc. The mushrooms had soap in it. The bologna had holes in it and burned my tongue. The labels on my food had been removed and I could see fresh glue on it. When a person is poisoned, if they don’t die, the poison can go to their head and they won’t know what they are doing. Why are you all doing this anyway? People in these stores and eating places are doing this. It is called spiritism in the Bible. These are dangerous practices of Satan.

Desired outcome: I won’t it stopped. I don’t have time to bring anything back. So I am losing a lot of money. And it makes me sick. This can also caused future illnesses like cancer. My head stay hurting and I am always vomiting.

Dollar Tree Manager Jody

I proceed into the dollar store. I grab what I need and began to go to the cashier (Tenisha). Manager Jody begins to question me on what I'm going to do with what I have, which was broom sticks. I told her it was for my garden as stakes with wire down the plant beds. She began to have a Karen-like attitude with me. She also was questioning me like an officer. I didn't like it at all. Everybody better watch out for the Dollar store police. To solve her issue, She needs to keep stock organized and have extra stock if something were to run out. Stay ready so you don't have to get ready.

Desired outcome: She needs to work on her social skills. She also needs to mind her own business.

Dollar Tree Merchandise refunds

On 5/20/23, I purchased some household items for a local non-profit. When I brought some items back for a refund, I was told by the manager/assistant manager that "chemical" items could not be returned for a refund, but only be exchanged. I had about 8-10 items to return, but she never really looked in the bag to see what was being returned. The only thing that might be considered "chemical" were some disinfectant wipes.

Desired outcome: I would like to get a refund (on the debit card I used) for the merchandise I wanted to return

Dollar Tree Customer service

Purchased balloons at store in Newton, NJ; store #7913

Asked for 3 specific colors, was told very rudely to find those colors in a large bunch of balloons that were already inflated. 2 balloons accidentally came loose from where the bunch was and I was rudely told to return them to where the others were. After balloons were purchased, I asked if there was a small holder I can use to hold balloons so the wouldn’t fly away. This same employee, who I believe is the manager said “we’re not a party store”

Extremely rude staff!

Desired outcome: I’d appreciate a response

Dollar Tree Housekeeping

May 16, 2023 12:15pm

Visited your store and was greeted with this (see photos attached). I certainly understand that restocking must happen, but this should not violate any safety rules, which of course I am certain you must have and abide by.

Yes, they all were diligently working at stocking product, but none seem to understand that this is not only a risk to them but to any patron.

If this is not included in your policy then it should and if it is, then it needs to be reinforced.

Dollar Tree Italian ice

I've been a regular customer at the local Dollar Tree in Newport News, VA. I'm lactose intolerant so I found icees. When I asked in the past if I could order, I was told No. : so I began purchasing as many as possible when they were stocked. I'm preparing for cataract surgery so I must depend on someone else (which makes it easier, when I can buy in bulk) I contacted the store Monday the lady stated she'd received stock on Thursday and put aside items in the freezer. I asked how many available, she said60. We agreed my neighbors would be by to purchase: however, I called before they went to let the store know my neighbors would be there, but the lady stated she only had 40 items. I stated I wanted them and she said yes, I was a regular. My neighbors called extremely upset stating no one would check in the rear of the store, they refused to acknowledge anything of the items to be purchased. I was only permitted10 and told me they didn't care who I called to complain they weren't concerned. (I've been a regular, plus my neighbors have purchased for me since at present I can't drive.) I called this morning and was told items couldn't be held. I didn't know until I called but the females let me know they didn't care how I was affected as a customer. I've attempted to order but denied. I don't understand. A sale is a sale.

Desired outcome: If there's a limit,it should be poted. Also,an apology bc they embarrassed my neighbors attempting to help me.

Dollar Tree Cashier smelling like marijuana and under the influence

The cashier's name is Tashaun and he works at the store in Nassau Park in New Jersey. I happened to pass by him several times during the course of my shopping and every time I did so a heavy odor would linger around him but i didn't want to assume that it was in fact marijuana until he himself accidentally said to another coworker that he was a little high from earlier in the day. I've no clue how truthful he was being about that because the smell coming off of him was rather strong, this happened on 5/10/23 at around 6pm or so.

Desired outcome: He needs to either be fired or reprimanded heavily going forward.

Just looked this up and found a website "https://drugtestingdepot.com/does-dollar-tree-drug-test/", where it states that employees could be disciplined or terminated if they report to work under the influence not to mention it's probably unwise to allow someone who openly decides to come to work while impaired to work with cash in case they accidentally give out the wrong amounts.

Dollar Tree General service

I was heckled and embarrassed as a whole when checking out. I'd gotten a ride to pick up 3 items I needed to finish a gift for my mother. It was a bit day and I had a sprite in the bottle that was way past half gone that I put in the basket to free my hand to get these products. In line once it wasy turn and before this lady (Linda) could swipe I said "oh I'm sorry mam that's mine and I forgot to get it out the cart". Your employee went on to say if be charged for it. I reiterated that if you just look at the bottle it clearly looked worn as I was carrying it all day long. I suffer from deep depression and to avoid arguing I just let it go - wanted to pay and leave. This lady just kept antagonizing me and as a black gay man I'd say bulling. I asked several times could she please finish sliding those last few items and it didn't stop. In the end she reminded me that I WOULD IN FACT PAY for something I clearly brought in there. I was humiliated verbally and mentally abused. Once back in the car I looked at the receipt and low and behold this woman had the gall to actually do what she said she was going to do. One guy whom I assume was behind me came and said son if someone would've done something like that to me wouldn't have paid for any of it. Bottom line here in Jasper Texas my hometown we have race relation problems as well as gay bashing. I stand for neither. I called you all because I want some action and to be fair before I reach out to other help. i.e. The NAACP as well as LGBTQ alliance and BBB. I am disabled at this point but I did have the privilege of an excellent education and this wrong must be made right.

Desired outcome: I feel as though she should be terminated

Dollar Tree Filth, trash, junk and disregard of property value

Manchester and 5th Avenue in the city of Inglewood, ca. 90305. This store is located in a single family area of the city which is considered a very nice neighborhood. I have lived in this area for over 50 years and have never experienced a business like this that would allow for TRASH & WASTE to be all around the business. With an alley behind this store it adds to unnecessary varmints entering the neighborhood. Several residence have been complaining to the so called Management in the store about cleaning up the area and we are always told to call CORPORATE.

We are submitting complaints to the city of Inglewood City Hall regarding the disregard of filth, trash, boxes, papers, food around your store.

Please have more respect for our neighborhood if you want the tax paying residents to continue to shop at your stores.

Thank you.

Desired outcome: CLEAN UP THE AREA AROUND YOUR STORE. THROW YOUR BOXES AND TRASH IN YOUR TRASH BINS

Dollar Tree Compliance

9054 Overland Plz, Overland, MO

This store is not in compliance with the fire regulations of the area. I have witnessed the fire marshall coming into the store on 5/10/2023 stating it was overpacked, not enough workers and the Store Manager as well as the District Manager have no idea how to fix the issue and its falling on the store staff. Its unprofessional for the District Manager to say one thing and the Store Manager doing something else. There is no communication amongst leadership.

Desired outcome: Apology to the store associates including managers as well as professionalism in scheduling and distribution of work.

Dollar Tree An associate named chris at dollar tree on university pkw in sarasota fl

My teenage daughter went into the store by herself because she had planned on baking something special for me for Mother's Day and did not want me to see what she was getting period when she was not able to find putting, she had asked the nearest store associate for help. Upon asking for help, she was told that it would be down the food aisle. My daughter went to look down the food aisle again and could not find anything so she came back to ask for help again. My daughter then had asked if she could give more specific direction so that she could find what she was looking for And the lady Chris who she was interacting with became very offended by my daughter's wording and began cussing at her... calling her a * * and a few other names. after that, the Associate Chris and another associate began talking behind my daughter's back. she was she was very uncomfortable and was not helped. We ended up having to go to a different store to get the ingredients that she needed.

Desired outcome: That she would treat people who are looking for help in the store with respect. Even when it's inconvenient for her.

Dollar Tree Unprofessional conduct and service

I visited store# 269 today and was absolutely amazed at how terrible the store and customer service is. There was only one cashier and 3 lines of customers going down the aisles. There were a total of 3 Dollar Tree employees and the poor lone cashier seemed to be a new hire. While waiting in line for 20 mins., I observed the manager who was upset that the only cashier paged out for some assistance. His response was; “Hold on…I heard you the first time you called!”

Also while waiting another employee shows up to work apparently late and the manager reprimands her in front of the store’s’ customers and employees. I had a pretty large order that totaled over $40.00 so I allowed a couple of customers behind me with only a few things in front of me to help speed things along. There was also a problem with having enough cash at the register. I’m extremely disappointed in how things were handled in this store and I can certainly see why it never keeps steady working employees. Who wants to work in an environment like this.

Desired outcome: Conversations with management and how to treat employees is a must. Every person deserves respect AND proper training in order to be great at their job.

Dollar Tree Associate misconduct

While shopping at Dollar Tree, 5/4/23, store 3080, I saw an elderpy woman crying and it looked like she needed help. I went to the front of the store to get someone to help. The associate I had refused to call 911, saying she would be charged for rescue. I said that she wouldn't and if I had my phone that I would call myself, as I was returning to the woman, I told the associate she was rude and then she yelled at me and said I was. I told the elderly woman I couldn't get help, the associate came down to where the woman was. I left to go and purchase my items. I wasn't happy with the associate and wanted to call home office. As I was leaving and by that time I was crying and humiliated, the store manager said her say about me. After that I went to the ER. I am a heart patient and experiencing some chest pains. I was told by my physician that I was to go to any ER if experiencing anxiety. I'm fine however, I do believe if I hadn't been treated the way I was this wouldn't have happened. I called the store and unfortunately got the woman from the altercation and was the store manager. I told her what happened at the ER, and wanted an apology, she hung up.

Desired outcome: Would like an apology for the way I was treated, and compensation for my emotional well-being. I am concerned for other customers being treated in this matter. I also would like to add, I am a frequent customer at Dollar Tree

LOL! The store manager plays no part in this so this Mat person isn't doing "their job" because it isn't their job. You aren't getting ahold of the right people apparently because when I quit, I applied and didn't have to prove it myself.. They did it for me.
