Dollar Tree Violent employee

On February 16th My daughter and 2 grandsons (3 and 5) were shopping and like typical children they picked up a couple of things in which my daughter tells them to put back. Well this employee comes over and starts berating my daughter about the boys and saying that's why the store is always a mess because of children like that; she kept on and on until my daughter had enough and decided to pick up something and throw it. At that time the employee charged at her and started beating up on my daughter in front of her children. Yes, my daughter was wrong by throwing something, but she didn't deserve to get beat up. The police was called and my daughter was told she could not shop there anymore. No charged were filed.

Desired outcome: I believe the employee should be fired because of the violence she was rude and very violent. (Don't know her name - Africian American with long blonde answers natural color dreadlocks)

Dollar Tree Filthy Store

I frequently visit store #1130 in Birmingham, AL. The floors are always dirty and filthy. The floors have never seen a broom or mop. I have been going to the store for years and it's getting worse. There is enough dust in the corners to fill one dustpan. The sopping baskets are dirty as well.

Desired outcome: Please have someone clean this store.

Dollar Tree Customer service

The state of California has lifted the requirement of wearing face masks, which do not stop ANY potential microbes from spreading, and do present threats to health and personal safety, on Feb 15, 2022. Why, on Feb 22, 2022, was I yelled at, humiliated, threatened, and scolded, for my choice to not wear a face diaper, after complying with the requirement, for two years, that, no one in any capacity of authority, has the authority to require of any of us? Is it up to your employees to continue a policy that they did not implement, that, is actually unconstitutional, and a vast overreach of authority? Is it acceptable that your employees choose to enforce nonsense policies because they ate ill-informed and in unreasonable fear, because they were fooled by the liars in the MSM, who sensationalized the common cold, into a threat to all of humanity? If so, then I will be taking my money elsewhere. I am not willing to suffer condescension from any of your employees, even one more time. I will not be shopping at Dollar Tree for another week, and, if I am confronted again, I will never shop at Dollar Tree again, and, I will help organize boycotts of your stores. The Covid19 HOAX, was a crime against all of humanity, and its pretty obvious, that almost all corporations were criminally complicit, and, it was wrong of you to participate in any way shape or form. A good way for you to redeem yourselves, is to stop participating, and, get on the side of righteousness, because, continuing on this path, you've been on, will only worsen your karma, and, make more severe your outcome...

Desired outcome: Memo to all store managers, the mask mandate is lifted. There will be no enforcement of any face mask requirements on any cistomers...

Dollar Tree Dollar Tree in Thomasville GA on Hwy 19 unsanitary conditions

Good morning,

I visit Dollar Tree stores all over Florida and Georgia quite frequently. The one store in Thomasville Georgia on Hwy 19 is disgusting. The floors are cluttered, dirty and the store smelled like dirty diapers. None of the shelves were organized or clean including the ones up at the front of the store. It was not because they were busy either, the store was empty, the assistant store manager was out front smoking and the two employees in the front only had one other customer. Three customers in the store all together on a Sunday morning. This is a terrible store to come in to and I will not be back there to shop.

I was a part time employee of a Dollar Tree in 2008 and 2009 in Waterford TownCentre Orlando FL., our store was never such a mess and we were never allowed to just stand around and let our shelves and floors look so bad..

Sue Moore

Desired outcome: This store needs to be cleaned up and taken care of, the employees are getting paid to do nothing.

Dollar Tree Online Purchase

Purchased two boxes of candy, each with 24 units in the boxes. One box arrived directly on time, but now it's been a month since the order was placed and approx. 2.5 weeks since the first box arrived and the second is stuck on the 'Label created' stage of shipping but has not gone further in weeks. It seems as though they don't have the candy I want, but I can't find a way to get my order at least partially refunded or get in contact with someone who can figure out why I'm not getting my product.

Desired outcome: Either a refund of at least the half of the order I did not get, or preferably the second half of my order shipped with haste

Dollar Tree Parking lot contractor fired, parking lot cleaned, a new contract for parking lot and especially storefront and dumpster area kept clean.

Request sent to Dollar Tree customer support. No reaction, other than to put me off for no reason. Here is some correspondence.

My name is Tommy Kitchens, I am currently a customer, and am sending this to Dollar Tree Corporate Hq. because your store in my town is an eyesore!

I have talked with the on-duty manager of the store at 42 McCurdy Ave N. in Rainsville, Alabama 35986 about this problem three times. I have been told there is no overall store manager.

Again, today I talked with her and complained about the outside appearance of the store.

This store parking lot is absolutely the very worst store in my town. It is in Halls Plaza along with 4-5 other stores in the same building. I was told that she personally has complained to Dollar Tree Corporate Hq., which is you, and has personally met with the store owner/maintenance/parking lot contractor, Mr. Kilgore to bring the situation to his attention.

She told me that Mr. Kilgore has the contract to clean the parking lot and to keep it clean. He does not keep it clean. She told me she, or her employee, has cleaned up the area around the store, only to be confronted by Mr. Kilgore, telling her not to clean it because he has the contract to do so, and his people will be by to do it. Neither shows up most of the time. The store's dumpster stays overflowing because Mr. Kilgore does not abide by the contract, by both keeping the outside parking lot and dumpster cleaned up.

She told me Mr. Kilgore removed the yellow cigarette disposal containers, and now cigarette butts and smoking materials litter the lot nearly completely. Look at the attached photos, taken today.

Mr. Gary Philbin, as Chief Executive of Dollar Tree, it is your overall responsibility to your customers to follow up on these types of complaints. I hope you will take the responsibility to see to it that this situation is handled swiftly. My town, and I specifically, want to see some immediate action on this!

I checked the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and was appalled at Dollar Tree's score! A 1.12 score out of a possible 5! (https://www.bbb.org/us/va/chesapeake/profile/variety-store/dollar-tree-inc-0583-43000228) That is deplorable!

Mr. Philbin, as Chief Executive, your customers, and employees expect more out of you!

Please take this complaint seriously and help your customers, employees, store manager and my town look better.

Thank you for any help you will provide,

Tommy Kitchens

Dollar Tree Bag charge

I understand you raised your prices to $1.25, and that's fine, but being charged $1.00 per plastic bag is absolutely ridiculous. I will not be shopping here anymore. This was at the rose hill shopping center location in alexandria, va, btw. Time and date was around 7pm on Saturday, Feb 12, 2022

Dollar Tree Closing whenever they want

Wilmington Ohio puts a sign on the door saying we are closing today at 6:00 (2/6/2022) and just a few days earlier the same sign says closing today at 3:00.

We end up driving 13 miles just to see that they are closed again early. How can we know they are closed or closing early and not end up driving to town and have to go back home because they want to close hrs. before its closing time.

If this keeps happening then it will be time to start boycotting this store. Figure the gas prices and what it takes to drive 26 miles for nothing. These are not the only times this has happened.

Desired outcome: Find a way to let us know when will be closed early and not just when they feel like it. nd out why the store is closing so early.

Dollar Tree Store closed during business hours

Please be advised that I visited Dollar Tree #4872 on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 10;30a.m., and found the front door clocked during business hours. I was told by two customers standing in the parking lot that they could not enter Store #4872 because there was only one employee in this location. This isn't the first time this has happened to customers who find this location closed during regular business hours by your employees. An employee taped a handwritten note on the front window saying this store new hours were from 10:00a.m. until 7;00p.m. on Monday through Sunday. The sign was taken down by an employee and I have a photo of this location business hours which are Monday-Saturday 09am-09pm and Sunday 09am-08pm posted on the front window. If this is the store hours, customers want an answer why your employees are closing the store and locking the door. Customers are confused and wondering if the employees at this location are setting their own hours and why are is the door locked? All Dollar Tree Store hours should be set by the corporate office and employees need to adhere to the hours on the front window in black print. Employees shouldn't be able to close the store and post handwritten notes on the door without authorizing this with the corporate office first!

Desired outcome: Please determine what the business hours are at this store location so customers aren't turned away at the door any longer.

Dollar Tree Service

I was at the store and needed my wallet. My boyfriend tried to bring it and the lady working said they were closed. Even though she knew I needed it when she told me prior to 9 that they were closed. It was exactly 9:00 when he tried to bring it in. She wouldn’t let him in, even though she knew I needed it. Nor would she let someone in looking for 1 thing. Let alone what another guy needed. It’s ridiculous to shut out customers like that. Needless to say I put my stuff down and walked out. Very poor customer service and very frustrating. She knew I was waiting on a card.

Dollar Tree Current product price increases

Dollar Tree has recently increased the majority of their product prices from $1.00 (hence the name of the store) to $1.25. a 25% increase. I understand that sometimes inflation requires a nominal increase in product cost but 25%? That's almost criminal! Now, if a customer purchases 4 items, they are paying $5 rather than $4. Why? How about increasing the prices by a dime? That's a 10% increase and far more understandable.

This 25% increase could also open the door to price increase for all other similar stores, simply because the marketplace has allowed this shameful practice.

The majority of shoppers at the "dollar" stores are shopping there because their income only supports these lower cost retail facilities. I am a senior citizen on a very fixed income so these stores have been a relief from all the current price increases in the marketplace.

Dollar Tree recently opened a store within walking distance from my home and I was spending a considerable amount of money there, but I went to the store last week (Jan. 23, 2022) to purchase several items and was taken aback by the difference in the cost of almost everything I was intending to purchase. I did buy 9 of the 24 items I had intended to get (because I immediately needed those 9 items), letting the cashier know I had left many items unpurchased due to this high increase and that I would probably not return to the store for future purchases. I will go to a different retail store for my cards, still $.98, and return to Big Lots for all else I was purchasing at Dollar Tree. Yes, it will take me 10 minutes to get to Big Lots versus 1 minute to Dollar Tree but their prices are realistic and still a great value for my dollar.

Desired outcome: Dollar Tree should reconsider such a large price increase for the majority of their products. 25% is an extremely high increase!

Dollar Tree signed their own Death notice .. It's only a matter of time people are waking up !

Next time you go to Dollar Tree ( if your really so foolish ) Take a good look at the items ! What do you see ?

The difference from say a year ago ..

All products are or have been reduced to half the size ..

Do you really believe your saving money there ?

You are not a good shopper !

And now they up the price .. ( 1.25 ) ..

Are we really that foolish ?

Small bags of chips = not worth

50 cents / less batteries to a pack ..

Used to have two 9 volt per pack .. Now one ! Toothpaste like travel size ..

All containers 1/2 the size ..

12 oz Clorox bleach 1.25 ?

It's rediculous ! Go buy 1 gallon at a real store for 2 or 3 bucks and set yourself free !

Are the Chinese not rich enough ?

They give now 1/2 the product and you pay a quarter plus more ?

Wake up people !

There's really only one item I go there for and it's reading glasses ..

All the other things like medicated foot powder ( the blue bottle ) they don't even stock now .. And many others that seamed like value .. ( not stocked ) or discontinued ... Not enough profit !

Greed is a horrible disease !
