Store overall
Store #3096 is not very clean, stuff is strewn everywhere. Most customers waiting at the pharmacy are either picking up a prescription for themselves or a family member. To stand on a line halfway around the store and be inundated with the unnecessary "noise" being pumped from the ceiling is quite frustrating. The pharmacy employees are calling out names of people waiting for prescriptions and no one can hear them over the crap coming out of the ceiling. We are not there to be "entertained", we're there because we have to be, and we can't hear ourselves think!
Desired outcome: Is obvious
Unhelpful pharmacist
two days ago I received a a auto call from CVS, The call was to remind me that I have two prescriptions due for renewal soon and they are scheduled drugs and require me to have my doctor fax a new prescription. I could not under stand the name of one of the drugs even after listening several times. Today at 11:30 I went to the Main St. Manchester pharmacy to pick up 2 prescriptions. While there I asked the clerk which two prescriptions are requiring a doctors renewal. She could not tell me. I ask the pharmacist, she said she didn't know. I have never had this problem in the past, I feel this person was just being rude. I am 74 yrs. old and have several doctors and numerous prescriptions making it difficult to keep track.
If she lacks the knowledge of what is a scheduled drug I and everyone else should be concerned with her filling prescriptions.
Wayne Rautenberg [protected] I have left CVS in the past and will again if this should continue.
Desired outcome: Demand her to be more helpful and test her knowledge on scheduled drugs.
Unethical behaviour
On June 24th, 2021 My mother had a surgery. She was discharged late around 6:30 pm doctor had given me written prescription for her pain medication. I was aware that CVS pharmacy where my mom gets her medication closes at 7 pm therefore I rushed to pharmacy and arrived there at 6:45 pm. When I went there there were two customers ahead of me. After me there...
Read full complaint and 3 commentsCVS pharmacy HIPAA violation
I believe that CVS regularly breaks HIPAA laws by reading out prescription names over its microphone in their drive through. I've complained countless times to corporate and nothing has changed. They should do what Riteaide does. Simply ask how many prescriptions are being picked up and leave it to the customer to ask about any medications by name. A reporter could do a great news spot on this. Take a camera through the drive through and video record the employees saying drug names through the microphone. The rest of the drive through may hear this sensitive information, and any other passengers in the car receiving the prescription. CVS needs to train their pharmacy employees, however I've had actual pharmacists at CVS name my meds out loud and they should know better. Shame on them. This has never happened to me at the other pharmacies I frequent. I called in January and February of 2021 and told CVS corporate to get their district managers on this issue. Since then, I've had only one time when my private information was kept private by their employees. If I'm wrong, and this is not a HIPPA issue, it certainly should be. I prefer a pharmacy that takes the utmost care and caution with all of my health information, in every capacity, at all times.
Linked accounts
For a few years I tried to set up a brand new card that he and I could share the rewards we earn. CVS told us they cancelled his old card and we submitted for a new one with me added and updated information. I started noticing inconsistencies ( missing rewards, strange receipts showing up in new email I provided) so after calling and writing and complaining, I again was told they would purge all info and start again. I did using different contact information and again crossed links with stranger info showing up in our email ( think HIPPA) There was no purging our information as requested. So now we have 3 diff accts linked to us, someone keeps using one of them, my husband debit card linked to it but we can't delete/ edit so rewards going to whomever, still getting receipts in email that aren't ours. It's a hot mess. My husband spent over an hour last week telling them to delete all our information. You guessed it, i went in there today and still has my phone number in their system! we are switching pharmacies and contacting an attorney
Desired outcome: Our information completely purged from the CVS computer system, all emails, phone numbers, reward card and debit cards, everything
Answering the phone
The store in Hazard, Ky (the first store) does not answer the phone. I have been put on hold everytime I call. Today takes the cake. I tried multiple times to call, sometimes waiting 30 min at a time. All toll I was on hold today for 3.5 hrs. I live 20 miles from the store and I have severe copd so it takes me quite an effort to get to the store for my...

I was on hold for over 20 minutes trying to ask the pharmacist a question. I never did get to speak with the pharmacist. I asked if there was a problem and was informed that they are understaffed due to the closing of a local privately owned drug store in our area. It seems that CVS Bessemer City, NC has been overwhelmed by new prescriptions from people who...

I bought at pair of glasses while helping my parents move and when I got home to Bellingham Washington I tried to return them as they were the wrong strength. I went to the CVS Pharmacy in a Target. I was told the the systems are completely different and they could not help me. And that the closest CVS that I could go to is in Everett. Which is an hour away. The glasses are almost $30, so not worth it to drive an hour. What do I do? Ship them somewhere?
Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the glasses.
Store employees
I wen to CVS yesterday to pick up a few items. The employees who work at this store are very unprofessional. The lady (name I did not see) and the man (named Christopher) were discussing his relationship issues in a very inappropriate way. The lady was trying to get him to date his sister - showing him photos, etc. They were discussing inappropriate video...

Lack of service at pharmacy
On 6/25/2021 I was discharged from Lehigh Valley Hospital for kidney Surgery, when discharged the doctor issues 4 prescriptions for pain, frequent urination, swelling, possible infection. My wife took the 4 prescriptions to our usual CVS on Easton Ave in Bethlehem Pa 18017. She was told she (Pharmacist) is busy and cannot fill the prescription now and she could come back tomorrow. My wife pleaded that I had just got out surgery and am in extreme pain and the person said that they will fill one of the 4 prescriptions and asked my wife to choose one of the 4 to be filled in an hour. I need all 4 immediately for all the related issues and to ask my wife to choose one of the prescriptions is ridiculous. I cannot fathom this inability to understand the necessity, and I understand you can get busy but to delay necessary drugs to take after a surgery that day, and then to ask my wife to decide one of the four prescription is inexcusable. I have been a CVS custom my entire life as I am sure my records reflect. Please contact me about this. Randall Miller 2873 Brandon Rd, Bethlehem [protected] [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: policy change, discipline, retraining on prioritizing, etc
Pharmacy customer service
I moved to this address 5 years ago and began using this particular CVS due to it's location. The service I receive at the pharmacy continues to be slow and rude. Today, 6/25, after spending the day in the ER, I was given 2 RX's to be filled. I went to my closest CVS and waited in line inside the store almost 30 min. just to drop off my RX's. There was 1...

June 23, 2021 Cvs pharmacy store #3767 on Cleveland hwy. Dalton, GA 30721.
Been using CVS for 20 + years. Service in the last 2-3 years has gone down hill.
Different employees in there everytime I or family member go there.
Worked in medical field, Med. Lab tech for 40 years. Been with the same practice/group of Dr's for 35 years. Pediatric group of Dr's and Nurse practice.
Went to pickup rx for daughter sent in at noon, wasn't ready 20 minutes more, this was at 4-5 pm. Also one of the dr's called in antibiotic for me for sinus infection. Was told they didn't have one for me, explained to 2 different techs that it was left on voicemail at 9-9:30 am. They said no voicemail for Cephalexin but call for Celebrax. And tried to explain the difference to me! DUH!
I'm not stupid. Explained that that wasn't called in by Dr. S, that it was abx.
Pharmcist came to driveup window, explained to her what was going on and she said it was illegal for peds dr to treat adult person and she wasn't filling it for me. Then she hung the drive thru phoneup on me! Was told to come back for medrol dose pack for daughter, they didn't have it on record either! This happens all the time!
So I call dr's office and speck to nurse, she calls them at CVS and pharmcist tells her it's illegal too. Guess she has law degree too?
Refused to fill all rx from the office for daughter and myself.
Spoke with dr's and nurse practice next morning and they all state that they are licenced to treat all age groups with any medicine they are comfortable with rx. Dr treats employees all the time for YEARS. Peds' dr are general practice dr's with speciality!
I am very upset with this store and will be moving ALL FAMILY rx for myself, husband, and family, grandson, everyone. I have heard numerous complaints about this store.
Also daughter was in store several weeks ago and someone passed out, the same pharmacist and a Nurse? that was giving shots didn't know what to do. My daughter stepped up and told them what should do and to call 911!
How sad. A teacher had to instruct their staff! I won't be using them or my family anymore and I'm not one to complain alot, been very patient with them over the years but this the last straw.
Desired outcome: changing pharmacy, need to educate employeees on rudeness and laws.
Service of a pharmacist
incident/injury happened June 16, 2021 TVR (95) : [protected] if this is my number... Maynard, MA, CVS pharmacist, Brandon, deserves this complaint.
Several times, he has given me specific dates when a prescription would be ready. I write that date in my calendar. I go there that day and he tells me it won't be ready until the next day or next. He has done the same thing to 2 of my adult female friends. Furthermore ... he has been EXTREMELY rude to me and others in front of other customers. You must be very desperate for Pharmacists.
Desired outcome: fire him
Wait time for pharmacy calls
Having dealt with CVS for my perscriptions for many years, I am very aware of their typical responses to pharmacy calls . I have waited hours on many occassions just to renew a perscription. I have also been in the CVS pharmacy location on numerous occassions and heard the message 1 call waiting or two calls waiting or more and observed no effort to answer those calls because all the staff working are busy filling perscriptions. Clearly you do not have enough help to handle calls and everything else the pharmacy has to do.
So, a recommendation. Please think about adding another option to request a callback, or to leave a message so no one would have to even speak to a pharmacy employee if enough info was left on the voicemail message. The way its' working right now is not working. My name is Tom Pilch and my birthday is 5/18/1953. I have many perscriptions thru CVS if you care to check. Thank you for your time.

Read full complaintI would like to know if it is in the job description of a pharmacist to accuse a patient of misusing an insulin perscription.
When it was time to pick up my insulin pens, I realized that I had not received the usual text from CVS Monclair. I called in to see if it was ready and the new lead pharmacist came on the line and started barading me---but not stopped short of saying the word "abuse"--about the amount of insulin was written in my perscription. I assured him that this perscription has worked well with my Primary Care Doctor for years! There are times when I may need to take extra insulin for a number of reasons and there are good times when I use less. He followed up this conversation by contacting my doctor and got him to change the prescription. Can he do this? Is this his call? Can he come between a patient and that patient's Primary Care, compromising the working relationship that has worked for 10+ years? He has also damaged the positive relationship I have with CVS that has been working well for 10+ years.
His name is Logan___________.
