CVS Covid vaccine scheduling

I have been trying all afternoon to reach someone, anyone who can tell me anything about whether cvs (and specific locations near me) will offer the covid vaccine to kids under 5 — specifically my 3.5 year old — once those vaccines are approved next week.

I have called the local pharmacies/minute clinics, tried calling the main customer service line, and I have been stuck in a bunch of different phone hole rabbit trees that I have gone down, been transferred around to other numbers and departments, with no success. I either cannot get a real person to answer, the people who do answer do not know anything, or I wait on hold forever and then the line disconnects.

Why is this so hard? I hate your phone tree options. I just want to talk to a real human being who can answer this very basic question. I have been waiting forever for a covid vaccine for my kid, and now I keep seeing reports that it will be available "as soon as june 20/21." why can't I find out if you will offer it?

Desired outcome: Please call me at [protected] and provide me the information requested. CAN I GET A COVID VACCINE FOR MY 3.5 YEAR OLD AFTER IT IS APPROVED NEXT WEEK, and if so, when/where? I am located in Arlington VA.

CVS Napa, Imola and Coombs Store

Dear Customer Service: I went to CVS today at 11:50, June 10th at your IMOLA STORE, NAPA to see the pharmacist. I was in extreme pain due to severe constipation. I wanted a quick remedy. I told the asst. 1) I wanted to see a pharmacist and 2) it was an emergency. The pharmacist yelled that "I'm busy" will help soon. I waited for 2 minutes and then said, "I am really hurting." She replied, "I'm busy." After another 2 minutes I was furious and left! Is this anyway to treat a customer who is in pain?

I will never return to CVS and will make sure no one I know uses CVS. This pharmacist should be reprimanded, if not fired! Why would she not help a customer in pain, who said it was an "emergency.?" I do not understand this.

Mara Adelman, Ph.D.

[protected]@seattleu.edu

Desired outcome: Reprimand the pharmacist and tell her how upset I was!

CVS A horrific incident with one of your pharmacists

Good Evening,

My name is Anne Dorsey. On May 16, 2022, my 24 year old daughter suffered a massive heart attack, causing extensive damage to her heart. We are shattered.

When I went to the CVS Pharmacy on 11200 Reisterstown Road, in Owings Mills Maryland, on June 7, 2022, I had a disturbing experience.

When I questioned the cashier about the price of my daughter’s refilled heart and blood medications, the pharmacist came to see me. He told me that I was rude and offensive. I slid my credit card in to pay for the bagged heart prescriptions. As I went to take the prescriptions, the pharmacist grabbed them and would not let me have them. He then told me I had to describe each prescription and what it did. He had the bags at this point. My daughter takes 9 medications and he was withholding 4 of them. I told him that they were refills and explained her blood disease and massive heart attack in front of a now growing line of people. I began to sob and had to explain her condition now in front of a crowd. He still refused to hand over her medications. My daughter was sitting in the car with a defibrillator vest on for nearly an hour while the pharmacist continued to stare me down and call me rude and offensive.

I called my daughter’s cardiologist and he attempted to speak with the pharmacist. Eventually, the pharmacist let the cashier hand me three medications but he withheld the Eliquis, despite a call or two from my daughter’s cardiologist. This is unacceptable and dangerous.

We have been through hell and have no time to deal with an unethical and cruel pharmacist. He refused to provide his name.

I have had to transfer my very very sick daughter’s medications to another pharmacy.

This is unacceptable and appalling. It is my hope that this is addressed and another heart broken family does not have medication withheld or endure this abusive, negligent, and potentially dangerous behavior.

I hope to receive a response.

Respectfully,

Anne Dorsey

Desired outcome: I fully hope this unethical pharmacist is investigated for his abject abuse of power. He created a potentially dangerous event regarding my daughter and violated his oath. I fully expect a response and intend to expose this incident.

CVS Store # 144 Queensvillage

The Pharmacy is a big disappointment; prescription is filled when CVS wants to fill them I rarely get my prescription on time, and pharmacist Tony Wy or Tony Whip is the worst, he could care less of CVS clients, he provides no help, Jarmal the reginal is also not able to provide reason as to why the store never picks up the phone to help with issues a patient may have, reginal Jamar never was able to explain why my sensitive prescription are being missed and not filled even after, I called in to refill my prescription around 05/03/22, after a week of nothing being filled, I had to have my doctor electronically fill the scripts 3 times, Once on 05/09 then around the 20th again on 06/03, I also walked in to the store and spoke to your pharmacist Tony Wy or Tony Whip he took my cell phone number and said he would contact my doctor the system is rejecting my prescription then I asked him why and he said its CVS system that's all he said and that "I will call you once everything was filled", which confused me, why is he delaying this, I just told you it's been a month since getting my prescription filled, he should've filled the script when I was there.? Finally, the script was filled on the 3rd of June, and no one called or even texted until when my doctor called to inquire on why the script wasn't filled. I also provided Mr. Tony Wy or Tony whip my cell phone number for him to call once script is filled, he never called.

I brought these concerns to Jamal and the only thing he did is fill out a complaint and have Mr. Tony call me to tell me the script is ready to pick up. Jamal conference me in with Tony and then Jamal just hung up and left me on the phone with Tony Wy and never gave me a resolution or an assure of any of my concerns. very disappointing coming from a reginal manager. I been going to this store since 2015 and I never feel comfortable going there in fact its stressful. Reason for me continuing going there is because that's the only store where my insurance approves certain meds. Close to my home.

I also have to mention, I have accepted my prescription to be refilled auto mantically and it seems the only meds being filled auto mantically is the meds I do not need or use. I tried the CVS web site to check my meds and it's been blocked since the day I open an account. No one at the store seems to know why my account is blocked.

I think concerns need to be addressed at the highest level.

Desired outcome: one is picking up the phone so we can be heard. Pharmacist who cares about helping.

CVS Your web site and answering system.

Your answering system goes through 15 minutes of advertisements before I can even get to even speak to someone. I didn't call you to hear all your advertisements, I have other sources for that, I called to talk to someone! And your website wants to send a text message to my land line, and its not excepting the same password I have had for years. What a mess you have made of your systems!

CVS Minute Clinic will not submit claim to Medicare

We went to the Minute Clinic in Berkeley, CA (CVS at 1451 Shattuck Ave) and got tetanus shots. These shots are covered by Medicare and we gave the clinic all our insurance information. However, we have received repeated bills from Minute Clinic. So today we called Minute Clinic and were told that they do not submit claims to Medicare, that we have to do so. This is ridiculous, and in the future we will certainly go elsewhere.

CVS Pharmacy

I called your corporate office to get assistance and was told to call each individual pharmacy regarding my issue.

Getting patient PHI should be your concern but the pharmacy and corporate customer service appears to not be.

Desired outcome: I would like for the phone number and fax to be updated for the provider.

It sadded me to learn that CVS is closing in the small town of Andrews, SC, because Andrews has almost any businesses. To CEO of CVS: Some times you need to look at the people you have working for you.(phar.) I used CVS for many years as my store for medicines. For the last several years I discontinue using CVS because of the awful service I got from the people employed there. Andrews would be the number one drug store in Andrews if the folks you hire know how to treat people. " Especially the elderly folks. A lot of the customers do not use internet services. I hope there were other ways folks know how to complain when they are not treated in a positive way when during business at some stores etc.

CVS CVS Pharmacy

The CVS pharmacy on Post Road in Cumming, GA disconnects calls on purpose when it is close to their lunch time. I understand they only have that 30 minute window to take their break, but when I called it was fifteen minutes prior. I held to talk to the pharmacy to get my RX refilled because I was physically ill after running out of medication while out of town. After five minutes of holding at ten minutes prior to lunch I was purposely disconnected (someone picked up phone and disconnected). I called back and got the 'we are at lunch' recording. This is not the first time this has happened.

Desired outcome: I would like this pharmacy to stop doing this. I understand they have a lot of prescriptions to fill, but often when mine are said to be ready, I have had to wait up to thirty minutes to get them and I do so without complaint.

CVS Pharmacy

I took my very elderly mother in law for an urgent care visit and she was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. Prescription electronically sent to the pharmacy at Target 9901 Yk. Rd, MD store #16612. I checked on line - no information 3 hours later and called (3 times - disconnected twice after long holds). Pharmacists said the needed antibiotic would be in the next day. Clearly that was unacceptable. I asked to find another pharmacy with the meds. He transferred it to 1001 Yk. Rd Towson, MD store # 2216. He instructed me to call them. I did — 5 times, 3 times I struggled through the awful voice mail tree and was on hold for > 30 minutes each time (disconnected once) twice I called through the physician line (because, indeed, I am a physician) and once was on hold for 15 minutes and once I left a message with no return call. This antibiotic was critical yet no service, no email or text notification and then... the website went down. CVS is the worst — only use it because her Medicare requires it (that's my next source for a complaint.)

Joe Wiley, MD [protected]@gmail.com, [protected]

Desired outcome: Call back and some service

I went to CVS to pick up pain medicine for my mother on Saturday Memorial Day weekend. I had a price dispute on the previous prescription.. As I was trying to explain the situation the pharmacist spoke over me and said you are not listening. I will not argue with you. I explained that I would bring my prior receipt for proof. I was told it did not matter...

Those that pick up or drop off medications from the window stayed in line for almost 2 hours while two people took their Covid test and turned in the Covid test at the window. There were more than 5 cars behind him, I did not understand, but they should have picked up their Covid test and went to the back of the line.

CVS Ignores customer's calls

I am tired of this CVS Pharmacy on Millerville Rd Baton Rouge, La inside of Target. The store number is 17177. Each time I call the store to get information on my percription as a patient or customer, they never pick the phone up. When I call to talk them as a percriber, they pick up quickly and tell a lie that they're busy once they find out that I am not a percriber. This happens each time I call no matter what time of day and this is why I am moving my prescription elsewhere.

Seconds ago, I spoke to Delphin Adams who has the worse behavior ever. She made the biggest mistake in trying to talk over me telling me that I am not suppose to call on that line. She has a very nasty attitude so I showed here that I can have one as well,

Even Walmart handle its customers better and I am sure their clientele is a whole lot larger than CVS.

It's a good thing we have a choice.

David Bibbins, M. Ed.

Desired outcome: I only ask that customers and future customers are treated with better respect. ANSWER YOUR PHONE! No one is busy 24/7. She picked up immediately when I was not who I said I was.

CVS Covid Testing and Assessment

CVS what a joke for upper management. I scheduled an appointment online to take a covid 19 test at 6401 Precinct Line Road in Hurst, Tx. I am a VA which they take, I took the test and then was told to wait for the nurse to give me my results. I waited about 5 minutes and she took me to the back and started asking me alot of question and took my blood pressure and it did not seem right. She ask me to wait and she printed out my bill and they charged me for a assessment charges $99.00 and another $120.00 for the covid test. The covid test I agreed to but not the assessment. The nurse stated that it was a requirement when taking the covid test by the VA. So I called the VA and they stated that was not ture. I disputed the charges and they has some manage call me and she was a joke how did she get that job. They only care about how much money they can get from you, since the gov'tment is not paying for the covid test anymore. The manage stated that it is there new policy now as of April that all covid test requires this assessment for $99.00. I can not trust what CVS tells me now because someone is lying but they are not going to admit to it. My family and I will never use CVS again for anything.

Desired outcome: I want to make sure that the VA get back there $99.00 that I did not ask for.

CVS "kc" pharmacist @ sangamore rd. bethesda md, abuses customer and then refuses to administer scheduled covid vaccination.

Today. With great difficulty getting off an intense work schedule, I scheduled an appointment for a COVID booster vaccination at CVS Sangamore Rd at 7PM. I will preface my complaint by noting that over the last two decades, I have had excellent service at CVS and therefore my choice for the COVID vaccine.

I arrived early — at 640PM, registered on the phone app that I was in the store and walked upto the Pharmacist "KC" and made myself available for the vaccination. He retorted that they were busy on other matters and that I should come back after 645. I therefore left the store to minimize COVID exposure and returned ahead of my appointment at about 655PM and presented myself for my 700PM appointment. "KC" then tells me in a raised voice that I had not registered on the App. I explained that I had and showed him my phone and the app button I had used to register. He was unapologetic for his error.

At 700 PM I followed him to the booth and was about to sit down for the vaccination. When he told me he must give another man his vaccine first.

I explained that I was here for a scheduled 7PM appointment and it was now 7PM. He retorted that he had multiple 7PM appointments! Here in an environment of careful social distancing and time seperated appointments, "KC" tells me that not only are there more than one 7PM appointment but, he wants me to step out of the booth so he can vaccinate the other 7PM appointment first. I therefore had no choice but to leave the booth and allow the other customer to be vaccinated first. I was hopeful that the store surveillece cameras would have recorded this event. However, just to be sure I took a photo to capture KC Vaccinating the customer ahead of me while I waited. Photo attached.

When I was subsequently summoned to the booth, I explained to him that his logic was totally idiotic where he selects one and not the other 7PM customer, and in addition a process that is inconsiderate about cross infection of customers.

He took offense and decided he would not vaccinate me. Put another way he refused to do his job after abusing the customer with his inconsiderate and arrogant behavior.

The Shift supervisor Sheree was helpful but could do little to get KC to do his job.

Complaint by: Dr. Rajasingham arj.ind. [protected]@gmail.com

Desired outcome: A written apology from KC.

CVS prescription practices

I am a prescribing MD with 20 years' experience. CVS must stop requesting updated Rx when they are good for and written for 1 year. CVS pharmacists must stop telling patients to not take a medication or to stop medications prescribed by MDs just because there may be a potential interaction. MDs are capable of managing risks and benefits, and telling a patient to stop a medication is practicing medicine, which pharmacists are not qualified to do.

CVS must stop cancelling Rx just because someone doesn't pick it up right away. CVS must stop telling pts they have "contacted the doctor's office" about a refill when all they have done is send an electronic request. CVS must stop requesting refills a few weeks before the Rx is expired at a year, when MDs are required to see pts to refill Rx. The current practices extort the valuable time of MDs away from their patients and, frankly, their families by whittling away at the insufficient time MDs have. Pharmacies are simply there to dispense medications as directed by the MDs. CVS needs to start doing its job properly - not more, not less.

Desired outcome: Fix all of the above problems internally and nationally.

CVS I received the COVID-19 swab test in October

I have made a complaint to my governor attorney general and have a case in the Virginia Department of Health due to injury of this test. I was feeling sick I did take the test because I was working for a company that is regulated by OSHA at the time. Within hours I was dealing with the most excruciating head pain dizziness eye pain blurriness and have been dealing with this situation for six months now. I am getting a runaround and I intend to include CVS making sure they are aware of my intentions. This test has taken MY ABILITY TO FUNCTION AND WORK. Prior to the test I had no issues and functioned normally.

Desired outcome: Compensation for damages.
