I did a wire transfer using bank of america in baltimore MD johns hopkins branch to my own account in India using SWIFT codes. I was told that india is a slow to pay country and it takes about 3 weeks and no investigations would be don't till then. It has been 2 and a half months and it hasn't gone through. My bank in india has not received any information regarding this from bank of america and the bank of america is not willing to help. Every time i contact them they tell me that they are sending e-mail to the bank in india to find the status and that the money is in india and nothing can be done about it and it is possible that i lose my money. I have no clue as to how to go about it.

They are the most criminal banking organization on our planet. Quite honestly, the whole banking system needs to be replaced. Many people are standing up and fighting these monsters:

Have been in the process since October. They are using stall tactics by making me provide sensitive documents over & over again. Using excuses that they have been lost, etc. I keep getting passed around from one person to another, having to start from scratch. This is the biggest waste of money EVER. The people are incompetent, the whole thing is a mess. These guys got 50B from the Feds to help people, and we'll never see any of it. We should NEVER have bailed the banks out in the first place.

I applied for a Credit Card from BANK OF AMERICA. My score is 706 with equifax. I had a $98 collection that was paid and they denied me after seeing this. I noticed BANK OF AMERICA credit card division doesn't want to give most Americans a CREDIT CARD with a 700 credit score. A friend of mine with hardly any credit but is a rich Muslim was granted a VISA credit card with BANK OF AMERICA. There is discrimination in the BANK OF AMERICA. BIGAL

I believe that this bank for sure is robbing people but it's a shame because there are so many other banks out there to bank at. But they are just like T Mobile's NO CS skills at all & can careless if they loose there customers.

I would advise everyone to leave Bank of American and for good! They are absolutely known for this type of fraudulent behavior... likewise with Chase Bank. All of them are corrupt!

If it walks like a piggy, talks like a piggy, by golly it’s a PIGGY!

WHERE IS MY LOAN MODIFICATION BANK OF DESTROYING AMERICA!

BofA and it’s CEO Brian Moynihan reminds me of that song by John Lennon and George Harrison titled "Piggies" I invite you to listen to this song on youtube and see if it appropriately fits.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovD9rTzs2q4&feature=player_embedded

Have you seen the little piggies
Crawling in the dirt
And for all the little piggies
Life is getting worse
Always having dirt to play around in.

Have you seen the bigger piggies
In their starched white shirts
You will find the bigger piggies
Stirring up the dirt
Always have clean shirts to play around in.

In their ties with all their backing
They don't care what goes on around
In their eyes there's something lacking
What they need's a damn good whacking.

Everywhere there's lots of piggies
Living piggy lives
You can see them out for dinner
With their piggy wives
Clutching forks and knives to eat their bacon.

When I filed my lawsuit against Bank of America, myself and United Law Group thought of the many others out there in the same situation. It was then that we decided to educate the public on what these piggy banks are doing, as well as unite us all together as one voice. Please help me turn this David vs. Goliath modification process, into a Goliath vs. Goliath.

Please stand with me and United Law Group and send an email to Bank of America that states that we will no longer tolerate their potentially illegal, fraudulent, irregular and abusive business methods.

So please send your email directly to Bank of America and include the following:

1. Your name
2. Your complaint concerning your experience with Bank of America.
3. Please end your email “I support John Wright vs. BofA Lawsuit!”
4. Please send a copy of your email to piggybankblog@earthlink.net
5. Please send your email to BofA CEO Brian Moynihan:

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND I AM FIGHTING BACK!

John Wright Vs. Bank of America-
Please join my fight or show your support through your comments at www.unitedlawgroup.com or find information and friends at piggybankblog.com

I have been trying since May 19th of 2017 to get a mortgage modification with Band of America. I have responded within 1 day for all requests and yet they still sent me two denial letters (the latest just 8 days ago).

After an hour long conversation with a truly helpful service rep, it has come out that when I sent my last 3 faxes to BoA, they only got the cover page each time ! this is according to the rep. BUT, on my end it says I successfully sent 16 pages once, 5 pages one time, and then another 5 pages later. The rep said the people in the scanning department are not responsible for contacting me for missing pages ( I ALWAYS put the disclaimer about missing or unreadable pages ALONG with my PHONE number on the COVER PAGE).

So now I have to resend all the documentation to yet another fax number and I am only in the internal BoA "second look" program.

Where can I go to complain and get some help dealing with this? I know nothing of the "internal second look program" but I bet it is nothing like the federally funded program I had applied.

I live in Washington State, can anyone provide some useful information on what to do before I lose my home?

Thanks

I have heard many stories about BOA but the most startling was when an employee of mine opened an account with them. His horror stories were beyond belief.

Another company to not do business with beyond phone service is AT&T. I have a story about them cheating, read stealing, $1600 from me.

We have had nothing but issues. when one of us became unemployed due to layoffs we trid to modify our loan. HA HA. they really do not want to help their customers. SO once caught up the new year came and our mortgage was increased 250 dollars more than last year. when I contacted them they stated that it was due to anticipated taxes, insurance and because I had been late, although she could read my account where it stated I had struggled due to loss of job. So instead of assisting their customers they raise the mortgage payments for those who miss payments, does this make sense to anyone? I believe that they are trying to use their customer increases to help fund the fact they are in trouble and face fines. I HATE BANK OF AMERICA.. even prior to this, I held a checking acct with them for two years and when a bank from 12 years ago said I owed them money, BofA FROZE my paycheck for 10 days while they cut a check to MAIL to me! couldnt do it locally OH NO! so bills fell apart at that time. THEY ARE A HORRIBLE COMPANY AND NO CUSTOMER RELATIONS EXPERIENCE.

I had similar problems. BOA automatically upgraded my account and started to charge me. I went to my bank and talked directly to a rep. They changed me back to the old account, refunded my money and put a note not to upgrade my account. Then they upped their amount you needed to have in order to get free checking. Again I was charged. I went to my bank and talked face to face with a live person. They were able to change my account and claimed that I opened it on line (in 1998) even though that was not the case. So now I have free checking regardless of balance and they refunded me three months of charges. I travel so I love BOA being everywhere. My debit card is never charged for use. I don't know of anyone else who does that.

Good evening to all,

I had a BOA credit card, unfrtunately was laid off about 2 years ago and did fall into hardship, but I wanted to keep my BOA credit card (the only one) I had. One evening in November I got a call from a rep, about making a payment agreement to bring my account down (with the BOA rep, whom said it was in the system and I was okay) so I could keep the card. Made payment arrangements and they took the payment on December 11, 2017 (mind you the card was still active), then on December 28, i called to make the next payment set it up for 01/07/2017. Set the payment up and the card was still active, then on 01/07/2017 I called to check to make sure they had that payment and was told that the account was closed on December 11, 2017. You can imagine that I was pissed at what they had done.

I received no letters, when I called to talk to the manager he states that since the payments had not been made in 3 three months the system automatically closed and they was sorry I was not told before 01/08/2017 or that I did not get a letter. When I spoke with a manager, I advised him that this is why we were making the arrangments so the card could not be closed. I think there is someone sitting there waiting to close people's accounts, and then a manger should be able to push a button to open the account back when it is on their part that they failed to do their job properly. I have been with Bank of America for over 20 years.

My husband and I am thinking seriously about checking into this further, because we have not been able to fiqure out why we did not get legal notification of this.

they just sent me the first thing in writing after i had been calling every week for almost a year. they gave me a temporary modification and then silence after the three month trial with nothing in writing until this month where they say they are throwing me into escrow and denying my modification. And this is after I obtained new employment and wanted to pay a decent mortgage amount to them. This has all thrown me into poor credit ratings and the inablility to refinance in any other way. They gave credit generously and then jacked up the interest on credit cards after one late payment, and everything else the big banks seem to do. They say they are trying to help? YEAH HELP THEMSELVES AND THE BIG CEO CFO AND OTHER ACRONYMICAL B-----------s I am angry, i am heartbroken, i am a hard working retired ex-cop, with no where to go from here. Any suggestions?

OMG! Rodder your situation is identical to mine, except that I did get behind and they would not accept half payments from me but instead told me that I should save it up and send in one whole payment...with times the way they are that is not reasonable with unexpected car repairs, food, electric company rates doubling, there is no way for one living paycheck to paycheck to save up...at least not one who is working by themselves and supporting a big family. Now for the past year and a half I have applied three times for a principle reduction and am trying for the fourth time as I write this because my mortgage is upside-down too...get this, I went on the Making Homes Afforable website and meet ALL bullet points to qualify, but so far have been told that I don't qualify for the program by BOA. My debt to income ratio is too high...duh, that's why I'm asking for help! Doesn't it make sense that if the loan amount and interest rate is lower than the monthly payment wil be too and then one could afford to keep the home! I have five kids and an elderly mom at home with me...it's riduculous! I too wonder what BOA has done with the money from the government...maybe new BMW's for their leadership...I think the government needs to audit them and go to the owners of the homes that they claim they have helped to see if they are even using the money for what it was intended for! I am praying hard on saving my home everyday. Hang in there...I know it's hard!

Okay good. I do have all documentation...bank statements, mortgage statements, cancelled checks, letters and responses; I've saved everything. I've made copies and sent them to Bank of America's lawyer today (via first class delivery confirmation). I still need to go into the County Clerk's office and file these papers with them in response to the foreclosure. From what everyone is telling me, proof of 8 months of payments should suffice. I am not sure what happens next. Do I just wait for a response from the court? From Bank of America? Can they sell my house within that time?

That isn't a B of A mistake, it is a government mistake. B of A doesn't issue levys, they simply follow the court order. Thr IRS knows how to contact them to remove it.

Almost the same thing just happened to me. I opted out of the stupid modification before they ever sent me any fed-ex crap. They set up an escrow account even before any thing was set up and NOTHING by me was ever signed. One lady told me the same stuff. Once your mortgage is with Freddy Mac you can't get out of it.Ticked to the limit I looked it up and my mortgage is with Fanny Mae.Totally ticked off now I called back 20 minutes later and talked to another person, probably from another country who I could hardly understand. He told me yes I will be back in a minute--goes to talk to his manager, comes back 20 minutes later and says oh yes I just have to send and e-mail to the escrow department and everything should be alright. My regular mortgage is $434.00 monthly, they had me set to pay $600 a month, I almost fell over. I am on ss and my monthly payment is very low, poverty level if you get right to the facts.Saturday in the mail I get another statement for $600.00, by now my blood pressure is really going up and I feel like I'm gonna go through the roof if I talk to any one. I call on Monday and I threatened them. This is the conversation. If this isn't straightened out TODAY I am calling the banking commission and have already e-mailed the states attorney general, and if I have to I will get a lawyer. Woman on phone we already payed your taxes and have been paying them for the past 5 years. I came right back to her and said NO YOU HAVE NOT, YOU were not even my mortgage holder until last year when Countrywide went out. Finally she worked with me and said OK I will have to contact the tax office to let them know, so she got the man from the tax office and he said once they kick the check back to the mortgage company it will be fixed, meanwhile while he was on the phone with me he said let me write this down now so no escrow account is set up with us after this. I told him to send me a current statement with the correct amount of $434.00 on it, which he said he would. I'm telling you this so may it will help you. You have to get nasty with them and threaten them, or they just don't listen to you. Good Luck. No more trying the modification for me. I also found out you have to go through your mortgage company to do this. Believe me if
I could I would try to get a different bank to hold my mortgage.

Hi Thanks for replying, but here is the problem, I opted out of the modification program because they kept jerking me around, so they haven't even modified my mortgage at all. If it isn't fixed today I am telling them I'm contacting a lawyer. Legal aid will help I hope.I also intend to write President Obama and let him know of the banks unethical practices. Somebody needs to stop these greedy buzzards!

I know this probably won’t help but...it is standard with all banks if they modify your loan you have to set up escrow. They don’t want to lose the house to the city for you not paying taxes and if you admit to them you are having money problems...All banks do this to cover themselves. They figure since you are having money problems they want to guarantee the taxes and insurance are being paid. It is in the modification paperwork...they basically say if you take the mod you are agreeing to it.

I'm searching and researching to find another bank to use. I have had nothing but trouble with BofA. Their customer service is the worst. They don't seem to understand that without their customers they are nothing. Please post back here if Wells Fargo works out for you.

In Cyberspace, the First Amendment is a local ordinance. Think for yourself and let others do the same

Unfortunately, when they're in the spotlight they're subject to the brightest lights. One may not like exposes, which is your right. One may think it's NOT your or anyone else's business, which is your right. If I find that it is MY business, I can read about it and write about it. That's my right and my freedom. All democracies require I be an educated citizen and that I voice my opinion. As the United States Supreme Court has repeatedly recognized, the Internet offers a new and powerful democratic forum in which anyone can become a "pamphleteer" or "a town crier with a voice that resonates farther than it could from any soapbox."

Asking if web site owners, or owners, is or are a patriot or a terrorist is a valid question. Asking if web site owners, or owners, is or are a patriot or a terrorist is a valid question because an open and free media is essential to democracy. The Internet is a common area, a public space like any village square. So far, it is the largest common area that has ever existed. Anything that anybody wishes to say can be heard by anyone else with access to the Internet, and this world-wide community is as large and diverse as humanity itself. Therefore, from a practical point of view, no one community's standards can govern the type of speech permissible on the Internet. In the words of John Barlow, a founding member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) -- "In Cyberspace, the First Amendment is a local ordinance".

FACT: America is still a Free Speech Zone. The United States Supreme Court has repeatedly recognized that ALL United States Constitutional rights extend to the internet. That includes Free Speech, Free Expression and anonymous Free Speech and Expression. NO website owner can set up rules that overtly or covertly violate the United States Constitution, or any America’s state’s constitution. No website owner can require overtly or covertly that a user must give up their rights to participate on a site.

You Have the Right to Blog Anonymously. You have the right to speak anonymously on the Internet. There are legal protections in several states and all federal jurisdictions.

You Have the Right to Keep Sources Confidential. Apple v. Does established the reporter's privilege for online journalists before the California courts and defends bloggers from subpoenas seeking the identity of confidential sources in more jurisdictions.

http://www.eff.org/issues/anonymity

You Have the Right to Make Fair Use of Intellectual Property. In OPG v. Diebold, Diebold, Inc., a manufacturer of electronic voting machines, had sent out copyright cease-and-desist letters to ISPs after internal documents indicating flaws in their systems were published on the Internet. Bloggers establish publication as fair use. Bloggers are free from frivolous or abusive threats and lawsuits. So Tom Lewis of Broowaha’s equally asinine cease-and-desist letters are unconstitutional and thug harassment.

You have the Right to Allow Reader's Comments Without Fear. In Barrett v. Rosenthal, Section 230, a strong federal immunity for online publishers, applies to bloggers. Bloggers are protected from liability for comments left by third parties.

You Have the Right to Protect Your Server from Government Seizure. In In re Subpoena to Rackspace. EFF successfully fought to unveil a secret government subpoena that had resulted in more than 20 Independent Media Center (Indymedia) news websites and other Internet services being taken offline. With your support, EFF can hold the government and the private sector accountable for investigations that cut off protected speech.

You Have the Right to Freely Blog about Elections. The United States Federal Election Commission ruled that blogs can comment on political campaigns.

You had what is called a 'dry closing'. That means youclosed on a date before the doc's were dated for and funds were available (for whatever reason...it is semi common). If you have any questions ask YOUR attorney but it sounds like they followed what they were spose to do. they just copied you on to the email for the closing doc's, it is not as bad as you made it out to be . The escrow was fixed it sounds liek ( what did they overcharge you?) and no, you did not pay any more then you should have because the loan didnt fund until you go the keys. ( I am guessing you closed on a friday (the dry close) and it funded on a Monday and you got the keys then)

I know that the customer service reps and anyone in the banking centers do not know how the overdraft process works and will tell the customer one thing. WHen it results in fees, they will lie and say that the customer is lying and will not refund fees. They have to make up the income they lost from being able to charge 10 overdraft fees a night to 4 so they will charge you every which way they can. I know!

honestly i think their only guideline for processing short sales is to "Procrastinate" as long as possible ... Keep steering the customers from getting on track here; Get them interested in all these other government program options; More paperwork needs to be submitted" They are very good at "double talking"

Bank of America sucks! You should write a complaint to the comptroller. Write the bank a letter you have to put everything in writting so theres proof.

I totally agree.. I will never do business with them ever again. I will tell anyone who will listen, BOA is the worst as far as customer service, fees and charges. They do not have a clue from one department to the next what is going on.

I agree with you 100%. I am now disputing my denial/forclosure with the MHA.Gov group. I was told when i called them that are there to oversee the proper paperwork process and to assist when things don't go correctly...we'll see. I don't trust anyone anymore and frankly at this point BOA, come take my home as well!

What do you expect? You expect them just to lower your payment that you agreed to in the past just on your word? Of course they want all the information.

You're wrong on both counts. My complaint wasn't that they lowered my credit limit, they have every right to do that. My complaint is that they lowered it before notifying me and when they did it was lowered within $50 of my credit limit which sounds to me like they're trying to create a situation where I unknowingly go over the credit limit so they can charge a fee. As I said in my complaint, if they had just told me it was a business decision to limit their exposure and risk and notified me in advance, I would have been completely fine with it. The icing on the cake with this complaint is that the official reason stated was blatantly false.

Second point, yes they did overdraw my account by $2.50 while I was in the branch (with a teller, not at an ATM), without telling me. It was a 3 paycheck month, when I withdrew the "extra" funds it was the first deposit that month. I took out the money knowing that I would have 2 more deposits prior to writing my rent check. My account was not tied to a line of credit.

Speaking of ATM fees though... I use my Charles Schwab checking account when I travel, they will refund any ATM fees I incur at the end of the month, even if I'm overseas. Their checking is also free with a small minimum monthly direct deposit into my brokerage account ($50).

Ask your neighbor to name any value add service that Bank of America offers that differentiates themselves against BECU's 6.25% interest on the first $500 in checking and saving or Charles Schwab's ATM fee refunds? (and don't say the "keep the change" program... rounding up my withdrawals and depositing change in savings is not a value added service... its just moving small amounts of my money around in hopes that I will leave more money @ .25% interest for BoA to play with)

I have been working with the "Hope Team" at Bank of America to modify our loan for 5 months now. I called them periodically and sent them same documents on 3 different occasions, by FedEx and by fax. They told me the trial period would be 4 months so when that ended, I called them and asked what was going on. They told me just to keep making the trial period payments and wait. Today they sent me a letter saying they have denied our application due to not receiving the documents asked for. I called them immediately and was on the phone for 2 hours, most of the time on hold. Then they kept transferring me from department to department and the last guy wouldn't even let me talk, kept interrupting, and said since I hadn't bothered to contact them, I couldn't even appeal their decision. I kept saying I had called and was told just to wait and he kept repeating that they couldn't do anything because I didn't ask the right questions. What? Yet their system still has our account as being active, but I can't even get a live person on the phone! I told them they are running a scam and I will report them. Who will do something?

I called them (holding for 22 minutes) to get my interest lowered (28.99%) after a year of paying on time and above the minimum payment and all she was interested in was consolidating my accounts on a five year pay plan, even tho we had a three year personal plan. She had no interest in lowering my interest. I am not sure that she was even exclusively a BOA employee. I felt like I was switched to a third party company looking for more business and BOA gave me the brush off.
