Lowe's Refrigerator delivery and installation

The Yonkers Lowes store owes me a 15 percent discount, @ $100 promised on July 21. It has not yet appeared on my credit card. The charge posted immediately!

On July 10, 2020, I placed an order for a white refrigerator, 18.2-cu ft Top-Freezer, Item #: 623781|Model #: WRT318FZDW, Order # [protected], Invoice # 80194. Although the website promised one to three day delivery, my delivery was scheduled for July 20 — 10 days. The nightmare of this delivery is described below. Unfortunately, it does not even begin to reflect the misery of the three days of my life sacrificed to this event.

• I received an automated call on July 19 indicating that the refrigerator would be delivered in the late morning on July 20.
• A second call on July 20, stated that delivery would be in the late evening.
• No refrigerator arrived on July 20.
o I was not notified until 6PM that evening that no delivery would occur.
o The item was not even in the store, yet I received two automated calls promising delivery at two different times that day.
• I eventually arranged to have an "almost identical" refrigerator delivered the next day. It would be the first delivery in the morning, before 10 AM on July 21.
• At 6:45 AM on July 21, I received a call asking for my credit card information; my order had mysteriously disappeared. I recognized the person, Ashley Allen, who had helped me the previous day, so I provided the information.
• The delivery arrived at 6 PM. The item was damaged and is not similar to the refrigerator I ordered.
• I attempted to reach someone from the Yonkers Lowes.
o There was no answer at Delivery, the general store number.
o I called the Appliance Department where eventually someone answered. I waited a long time while the employee helped others in the store.
o Eventually I spoke with a store manager who made it clear that she did not expect to be bothered by my petty problems.
• The manager agreed to a 15 percent credit for the damage. That credit has not appeared on my credit card.
• The drivers were rude, argued about waiting until I could reach someone at the store, and were generally uncooperative.
o They were not pleasant about waiting for us to empty the old refrigerator — I could hardly have left my food out of the refrigerator all day.
o The driver/installer directed me to move various items out of his way; he stood and watched while I moved the items.
• Neither of the drivers had face masks. One of the men agreed to wear one that I provided, the other refused. This meant that only one of the delivery/installation people had to do all the work. I would not permit the other in the house.
o We are 89 and 68 years of age, COVID-19 is no joke.
o The man wearing the mask had to be reminded four separate time to wear the mask over his nose.
o Neither man had gloves.
• In removing the old refrigerator, just about every item (mostly books) was knocked off my shelves in the hall (they would not use the back door which was closer).
o A few items, and various pieces of packaging and items from the old refrigerator were later found strewn in the street and yard. Clearly no care had been taken.
• After two hours, the installer gave up trying to install the handles. He said someone would come the following day, July 22.
• The installation was completed but we still have several uncovered "screw holes" that are rough and sharp. The covers were apparently broken. There are pieces of plastic stuck under and around the door handles, I will have to trim with a razor.
• The item in my kitchen looks like an ugly, old, dented refrigerator.

I had two occasions to call Lowes Customer Service at number on the web site.
• Each time I waited an hour or longer for a representative.
• None of these calls produced assistance. I was told to call the store, the repair department (the next morning).

I made five calls to the Yonkers Lowes store:
• three calls went unanswered after the phone rang for @ seven minutes.
• I waited 15 minutes to speak to the store manager when one of my calls was finally answered.
• The other answered call was immediately transferred to another phone that was never answered.

At 7:30AM on July 21, I received an automated call asking me to rate my delivery experience!

The entire experience was totally unacceptable.

At the register Lowes would not give us the normal 5 % off on the Lowes credit card which is why we purchased the credit card in the first place. Lowe's Upright freezer frigidaire lffh20f3qw

I purchased an extended warranty for my new purchase. It stopped cooling and ruined all of my frozen food. It took me hours to get through to Lowes extended warranty and they scheduled a service call.

The "technician" Edward Y arrived late and did nothing but complain. He put his hand on the compressor. Announced he had to order the compressor, evaporator, condenser, etc. Said it takes a long time to receive parts. Complained about the hot garage, it was about 80. Proclaimed it will take until the fall to repair this unit.

in stock at your warehouse. I had to put in 4 orders of 6 each at 4 different stores to get 24 of the 2 packs ordered.
I have spent hours with your lowes chat and 800 number and no ONE can answer that question or email me back.

they tried to set up a 3 pack equivalent of 16 order, but missed the 40% discount for buying the 24 2 pack size.
after they cancelled 4 orders of 6, I had to reorder 4 orders of 6 at different stores AGAIN!

Recieved table top damaged on top. Waiting for base After 3 days i got thru on phone. Was offered $13 off. Or they would send me another one but. I have to pay for another one and id need to return damaged one is same box.
Well i wouldnt get refunded for damaged until they get it back in original box. So i have to pay 2 times upfront
So im stuck. With this and $13 refund what an insult

Lowe's Gift cards

Don't buy a lowe's gift card and tell everyone to never buy one for you. Daughter got me a lowe's gift card for fathers day. Tried to use it at store. Card balance is zero! Cashier manager is rude, says go call the 800# on back of card. Person at 800# says they can't help, call corporate office. Called corporate and listened to "your call is important to us" for more than an hour. Hung up and returned to store, talked with 'assistant manager' because 'manager' is not available. She says sorry but it's your tough luck. Call corporate again and finally get thru after another hour. This person just doesn't get it, keeps repeatedly saying if the card is lost or stolen there is nothing they will do. Tried telling this idiot that the card is not lost or stolen, i'm sitting here holding it in my hand. He just repeats the same thing. It's like talking to a dead plant! Learned the hard way how easy it is to be scammed with these pos cards. The card is not stolen, the $money$ is stolen while the card is still in the store! Someone should start a class action suit against lowe's for selling stolen merchandise!

Lowe's Warranty on newly purchased refrigerator

Quite simply, there is no response for any call-in made to register my warranty on my refrigerator. Delay times last from 30 minutes to 2 hours with no response or answer. Worried that if I have repair problems, I will be out of pocket 179 dollars since there is no response. This has been happening since june 24 when we accepted the delivery. We need to know how we can register the warranty on our refrigerator without waiting for an extended period without response.

Call delay time is prohibitive. First time for 30 minutes, the second for an hour and a half and the third time for two hours with no response. I paid $179 dollars for a warranty that I cannot register and if I have repair issues, no one to respond to for repairs. I do not understand why there is a delay unless they are understaffed.

Lowe's People saying racist comments that work there called crazy old white man

Lowe's Appliance warranty

I purchased a new refrigerator 60 days ago and it's already not working! I purchased the extended warranty, but they don't answer the phone! Tried calling 3 times today to call and after being on hold for 30+ minutes each time, I gave up! Looks like i'm out $1500 for the frig and another 180 for a useless warranty. Lowes corporate doesn't answer their phone either.

Within 60 days would still make it under the manufacturer's warranty. A simple call to an authorized service center should resolve any issues.

Lowe's Vinyl privacy fence

Lowe's Windows

We purchased an older home and decided to go with Lowes for replacement windows due to a sale they were having. The installation dept and contractor was very nice about keeping us updated on the order.

It took 6 to 8 weeks for the order and then the virus hit. It delayed the installation, which was understandable. After several months later, the installation date was suppose to be today. I had the blinds, sheers off windows, furniture moved away for easier access to the windows and the phone rang. The contractor said someone with a forklift had broken the windows that had been stored there at the store. Not only my windows were broken, other expensive entry doors were damaged. The employee that damaged these items did not report what happened. The contractor notified corporate offices and is trying to work with the manager. No updates as yet.

Now, we have to wait another 6 to 8 weeks for a reorder. Unbelievable.
I will not use Lowes again for windows. This is not the first time we have had trouble with Lowes. We are done. This was Steubenville Ohio location.
