online help with car problem
I am having a problem with my car air con. I was seeking help from forums when this site popped up asking if they could help. I thought it was a forum chat. I explained my issue and I was surprised at the speed of the response. I was asked a number of questions and asked if I would like to talk to a mechanic who could help me. I did.
I was directed to another page which asked me for a $5 good faith deposit to talk to a mechanic. I thought about this for a while and decided that $5 is not a lot if it helped.
This took me to another page labelled UK Mechanic (I started out on an Australian page which is where I am), and asked if I would like to be directed to a mechanic. I followed this hoping to talk to someone who at least was familiar with my car but I was suspicious about the UK part.
I was directed to yet another page which informed me that if connected I would be liable for another $45 as balance of a $50 advice fee.
None of this was explained to me before.
I realised then why the response at the beginning was so fast. I was not chatting to anyone at all - it was a robot who was just asking meaningless questions to suck me in for a re-direct to where I needed to pay.
This is a scam of the highest order. I backed out at this point. I cannot say if there is any worthwhile information at the end of this, I simply object to being led into paying money without prior warning.
If you look at the method used you will see that it is a spider web site.
It claims that you can get a full refund if not satisfied but the site contains no other path but the spider web.
I even entered the complaint into another chat box using some very direct and accusing language, and was offered legal advice at the same rate.
This is their robot again asking rubbish just to get you to follow on to the payment screen.

I contacted you because my Gmail didn't work, couldn't open any email. A technician fixed the problem with remote access but my card was charged TWICE. AUD73 and AUD55 - this latter is the amount I agreed to when he remotely accessed my PC. I tried to get in touch again about the double charge - but guess it was just a virtual assistant - so I didn't go anywhere with my issue.
Please reimburse me for the AUD73.

I signed up for a brief membership with just answer, then when I saw that they took an annual membership out of my bank account, I requested a cancellation and refund of my money on that very same day. They referred to some fine print somewhere in their membership agreement and denied my request. A scam without question. I am sure that much of their revenue stems from clients like me. Never again.

I saw justanswer website and they said 5$ trail member for 7 days and then they will charge for membership per month if you don't unsubscribe. They said ask as many questions as you want in 5$ for 7 days. So I asked so many questions to so many doctors but they charge 16$ to 18 $ per question. I even cannot unsubscribe. Only I will be charged for membership. I want the money back or else I will call my lawyer.

I decided to try the "trial" subscription which I thought was going to cost $5.00. I guess I didn't see the fine print because it signed me up for a monthly subscription and charged me $28.00.
I called to cancel on 3/3, and they processed my cancellation but would now refund the $28.00. They told me I have access to the site until 4/3, even though I didn't want the monthly subscription.
This is a scam to get people to sign up for their service and then they make it difficult to cancel, and they kept the money for services I do not want or need.
I can only hope they do not charge me again next month!

This useless Just Answer Company advertised 5.00 one question and they took 46.00 out of my account for a membership. 1 simple question dont have A bunch of legal stuff. Ripped me off, I cancelled my debit card they will no longer rob me. So i called them got live person, could not resolve there told them i wanted my money back amd said they would have supervisor call me yep took my money doubt i will see it in same boat as everyone else.

I have never heard of this company. I have never used this company. They have been charging my amex account $78 per month for 7 months but they refuse to refund my money despite acknowledging that they can not locate an account under any of my email addresses or under the 10 (!) digits of my credit card that they claim they do not see. I keep telling them that I am looking at the charges from them on my credit card with their company name and the phone number that I am calling them on but they said that they can not see the charges so they will not refund them.
This company is a total and complete scam and have stolen over $500 of our money.

Hi I used Justanswer regarding an automotive question and click to pay $5 (as stated) to answer a question.
There was a $36 or $38 fee for a phone call so I obviously didnt use that option.
and no other fees were stated.
There was no indication or request or summery to show that there would be anything other amount other than the $5 fee.
I would not have proceeded otherwise.

On 7th January 2019, we were attempting to install a new printer. We thought we were in the manufacturers site and asked for assistance. We were advised that a payment of $5 was required, so gave credit card details In good faith as was advised that the $5 would be refunded if necessary. Before any assistance was given we were able to solve our problem and advised consultant of this. He/she kept asking for information and repeatedly we advised that we no assistance was required. Several emails were sent to us, and each time, we answered that we did not require assistance. On checking bank details, is was discovered that not only was the initial $5 taken, but a further $44 and again $64 making a total of $113. The credit card will be blocked for any further deductions, but hope that refunds can be accepted. We are pensioners and cannot afford to throw money away on SCAMS. I did sign on for the trial membership for $5 and asked 1 question in August 2018 . Before the end of the 30 day trial period, I cancelled the membership which is hard to online. They don't have a form, so I sent them a message. I have been billed $46 per month since September 2018! ….
