JustAnswer Bank charges

On August 16, 2021 and September 14, 2021 Bank charges of $60.00 for each date showed up on my bank statement.

The first charge was for Ask Lawyer which did not answer any questions. The second charge showed up on my bank statement as Just Answer apparently on automatic charge.

I have not used this service and request that I be reimbursed a total of $120.00 on my bank account. You have my account information.

I will contact my bank and have them stop payment for the September charge.

Has it registered on anyone else that they answer these complaints with a form letter. It reads the same on every occasion. They repeatedly claim they have done nothing wrong and the person complaining is in the wrong. If you "reach out" to them as they suggest, you will be told exactly what you were told before and you still won't get your money back. I'm pretty sure they are making a good income at your expense. I'm also sure as long as they keep getting by with it .they are not going to change.

JustAnswer Unauthourized payments taken

Back in January 2021 I paid £5 to speak with a JustAnswer lawyer and followed up with phone call. It was under a trail membership which I cancelled straight afterwards. The money was coming out of an account that is used for a film production and hadn't checked it because we paused production for a while. I then checked today for another reason and saw that JustAnswer has been taking £50 a month from me since January despite cancelling. I went to log into JustAnswer to see what was going on in my account but couldn't log in because the email is no longer recognised as the account was cancelled. But when I tried speaking to someone on the phone they said at their end the account is still active and therefore the payments will continue. There has obviously been a systematic error resulting in this. How can you take payment from me that is unauthorised?

Desired outcome: I would like to be refunded the £400 you have taken from me

They are doing the same to me and will not even discuss it. It should be illegal, but they are confident nothing can be done to them for their shady ways.

JustAnswer Fraudulent charges and then attempts to continue to charge me to resolve

I used your services one time in August - two authorized charges - $1 to chat and $38 to video chat with the vet. A few days later I becamne ill and was in the ICU and then ever lowering degrees of necessary care, As of September 11th I am still in the hospital and have done no purchasing since August 30. Just Answer took it upon themselves to used my card like an ATM - charging me $31 for unauthorized, unreceived services, they have no right to continue to use my card, account at all. I contacted them and was asked to pay $5 to talk to a lawyer about their fraud. I was charged September 5th - $31, at a time I was still barely awake most of the day and had not access to either my phone or card or computer, they were at my home where they have been locked away since I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance - there is absolutely no way I made any purchases. How were they able to continue to charge me - seems so illegal?

Desired outcome: I want my $31 back and honestly a refund of the other $39 for all this time they've wasted of mine calling my bank and trying to contact them (Just answer) for over an hour.

JustAnswer I have canceled my trial period on time and I see a pending charge on card it has not been charged yet but not removed either

I canceled my trial period on time but I still have a pending charge on my card. I need you to remove it from my card post hast.9/9/2021. I can cancel payment through Visa but that would require me to launch an investigation and change my card number. Please don't put me through this aggravation and just cancel the pending charge

JustAnswer inadvertently signed up for membership

Contacted Justanswer Tech and was offered a £5 fee for answer to tech question. Did not realise that by giving credit card details this would enrol me in their £35 a month 'membership'. Paid £35 for 3 months before realising. On revisiting their website they stated they would contact me after the first month to check I wanted to continue. This they never did and now refuse to refund any money. I insisted on cancelling 'membership' and have email in confirmation.

There are 2 transactions that made through my credit cards one is $2 and one is $67

- I can't reach included e-mail.
- I've try to cancel there is no confirmation of cancelation.
- Don't have receipt or invoices once deducted money from my card.
- I'm not agree with unauthorized transaction

I have received a charge of AUS$89 on my credit card for services I do not recall seeking from Just Answer. The charge was made on 21st August with a reference [protected]. I did not receive any advice as to this charge. Please advise.

JustAnswer I was refused a refund after I was charged $34 for a $5 trial membership to Just Answer

I signed up and agreed to a $5 trial membership of Just Answer.
I was charged the full price of $34 instead of $5. When I requested a refund I was told the trial membership price was no longer available and I would not receive a refund.
The company mislead me by advertising that the membership was available for a $5 trial and that I could cancel my membership at anytime.
I contacted their customer service department but they have no help.

JustAnswer I have just discovered that Just Anwer are horrible crooks.

Just Answer have started taking 39 CHF from my credit card last Novemeber 2020 then they started taking 49 CHF regularly every month. a USA Company.

Desired outcome: I want my money back. CHF is the official name for Swiss Francs!

JustAnswer unauthorised debit card payments

In February 2021 we contacted Just Answer ( Tech_Geek Justanswr) in relation to a query regrading a faulty Samsung TV. This company appeared to be the helpline for Samsung TVs. We had a difficult experience trying to resolve the fault which was unsuccessful.
We agreed to a one-off payment of £35 in February. We did not give permission for monthly subscription payments which we now realise have been taken from February. On 28th August 2021 a further debit card payment of £35 was attempted, but declined by our bank.
5 unauthorised payments of £35 have been taken from our account using our debit card details.
This is a formal complaint and we request a refund of £175 by Just Answer.
Our card has been cancelled so our refund will have to be by a different method.

JustAnswer Unethical behaviour

On August 21 I used JustAnswer LLC to seek help with a problem a family member was having with his Kindle reader. In contracting the service, it was not clear to me that I was agreeing to monthly payments for the service. I was not aware that I would have to cancel automatic payments through my PayPal account within a week of contracting the service. There was no alert via email or otherwise that a monthly payment had been "agreed to, " though it was not clear to me at all that I was "agreeing" to such a scheme.

I consider drawing customers into such arrangements without clear communication or alerts to be a fraudulent or unethical business practice. Now that I know that automatic payments had been arranged without my notice, I have since gone through the steps with PayPal to cancel such automatic payments to JustAnswer LLC.

JustAnswer Taking money from my credit card!!! For what?

They have taken 49 CHF from my credit card and I want my money back! What is this for?I need to change my credit card number! Who are these people and where do they get people's credit card numbers. they are obviously CHEATS! I request a refund immediately!

JustAnswer Didn't ask for the service. And! Don't! Want the service

They? Took $ 47.00 dollars out of my bank account on august 26th, 2021. I? Don't? Tell them? Or went to there web suite. I? Want that that $ 47.00 dollars back into my bank account by the end of the day on august 27th, 2021. And! How? Did they! Get my bank account number. I? Didn't give them! Any number to! Get into my bank account. They? Went into my personal information. From my bank account. And! I didn't give them! Any info on my personal account.

JustAnswer Legal advice from their “expert”

Earlier this year I was experiencing a legal issue. My daughter and I both are involved in it. I was looking for help and stumbled across these thieves.

I can't remember if I was calling or Chatting at the time. I got the old $5 trial offer. I paid with my Amex. So the response was immediate. I old the "lawyer" that I could not commit to anything unless my daughter was interested. That I had to talk to her and if she was interested we would contact him. He could send his contact info. That is the full extent of my commitment. A $5 trial and no thanks, I'll call you if I need you

I've seen these scams before and shut it down. Or so I thought.

Then I get emails, "I've answered your question!" Multiples. No, you told me that I should contact the court and ask them to reconsider. Not exactly what I would consider sage legal advice. AFTER I plainly said not to do anything more than share his contact info in the event my daughter and I wish to discuss it further with him.

I didn't really know how much they had done till I reviewed my August AmEx statement and see the thieves have billed me $65 per month for May through August so far. My God, my $5 trial turned into a $260 expense. I could have seen a real lawyer, locally, for that.

I contacted AMEX, made sure they would not get any more. And then contacted Just Answer. Of course, they are terribly sorry for MY CONFUSION. They want to explain their great service and billing. Uh Huh. Oh, and I'm not eligible for a refund.

These people are thieves plain and simple. I had the same issue with Been. Verified last year. They operate the same way. Beware!

Why is it all of the social media companies are so concerned about protecting us from those awful lying politicians, but no one cares about these scam artists ripping us off?

I've been out of work 2 years. That money is much more important to me than these crooks. I hope they burn.

Desired outcome: I really want my $260 back. They can keep the $5. I agreed to that.

I was duped - thought I was paying a one time $5.00 charge and after I provided my credit card information I was automatically set up with a yearly subscription and NO way to cancel.

JustAnswer Legal advice for transgender male

I tried this site one time and it just kept taking my money after I had spoken to someone and had them cancel my account for 5 months they just kept taking my money. I am not happy that they kept taking my money.. I want a full refund or I will take legal action. I cancelled this [censored] off my card. Please return 5 months of my money. They scammed me and never gave me advice

JustAnswer Fix it

I have never heard of this company until I saw the money £35.0 taken out of my account. I asked for a refund, now they want to put me through to an expert to solve the problem. But say I have to pay £5.0 which will be refunded which A. I don't believe and B. not going to give my bank details, again, for a company I have never heard of and could be fraudsters about to take thousands out of my account. So unless you refund my £35.0 within 24 hours, I will make an official complaint through the financial ombudsman

JustAnswer Credit carded misuse

To Whom This Concerns:
I am William C. Jones of 1198 Bob White Avenue in Springdale, AR 72764
My credit-card is being misused by someone other than me and I am the lone signature. The JustAnswer charged my ARVEST credit-card the amount of $46.00. I did NOT, to the best of my frail 84 year old mind sign up for this and I require this amount be paid back into my account, Unsubscribed and delete my name and email address, et al as soon as possible.
Thank you for helping me out of this situation!
P.S. I am subsisting on Social security of $703.00/month and I really cannot afford this price each month, as Food, Meds, rent, etc et al, come first!

JustAnswer Unethical behaviour

On July 8th 2021 I paid a £5 online fee by debit card for a brief consultation with the JUSTANSWER (UK) company. I had been stranded abroad and returned to the UK to find an unsolvable problem with my WhatsApp account.

I left the JUSTANSWER chat without any knowledge whatsoever that I had signed up for an ongoing £35 monthly payment. This amount has now twice been taken from my account (July 8th, and August 12th) before I realised today (19/09/21).

Since that first and only consultation in July I never again contacted JUSTANSWER. Neither did JUSTANSWER communicate in any way again with me, neither about the payments they were taking.

I respectfully request that these two payment be refunded to my account and await your speedy reply.

If I do not hear back from the company in a reasonable time I am afraid that I will have to take legal advice in order to take the matter further.
