Family Dollar Customer service

On Tuesday night December 29, around 8:55 pm, I was entering the door at the Family Dollar store at 902 North Blvd., Sanford, North Carolina 27330. An employee immediately says" we are closed". The store was not closed. The door was unlocked. She was rude and very unprofessional in her approach. She came towards me when I was coming in the door in an unpleasant, disrespectful way. Basically she was running me away. I have been a regular shopper at this store for many years and have never been treated so badly. I was only going to pick up something urgently needed and had drove across town to get there. I was thoroughly disappointed in the employees' conduct. I wanted to promote peace so I turned around and went back to my car. I think she then locked the door. Meanwhile, someone else drove up in front of the store, perhaps to run in, which they could not do if the store was locked up before closing time. It seems we were an inconvenience to the employee. The employee was a very short, caucasian female. She had on big glasses and had sandy brown hair. She looked middle aged and was not friendly at all. Hope she gets some help with whatever is causing her to be so unfriendly and difficult.

Desired outcome: Staff needs to at least get counsel on closing the store at the time the public expects. It is her job to serve and not to be rude and unpleasant

Family Dollar The workers locally

My family shops here often. It's the Arco, Idaho store. A few years ago the staff was lazy boxes always filled the isles. Thankfully the old staffs no longer there. The new staff stocks the shelves and the night crew they're left to the stocking, checking dates for outdated product, assisting customers, cleaning, and closing up. The day crew (manager, assistant manager, and 3rd employee) well the manager and assistant manager are always looking exhausted on'ry and overworked. They are constantly slenderizing someone local usually employees past and current. Most people in town will drive the hour to Walmart to avoid the hostile confrontational environment of our local family dollar. The older gal (3rd employee) chimes in but she usually just sits at the register and helps customers as they check out. These workers work 6-10 hours a shift no lunch and one "quick break" isn't that illegal? Also 5 employees total at all times. Open 7 days a week from like 8/9/10am to 10pm. Pretty sure you need more employees here so people can take their legal breaks/lunches. Pretty sure anyone of your higher ups would come in and shop like a customer and be disgusted with what they'd hear out of the managers poor me mouths during any given day. Make your night crew managers get rid of the bad bring in the good make customer's happy they shop at your store (you make more money with happy customers). Oh and I may add, pretty sure if you sell tobacco products you are required to carry a current license to sell tobacco (and alcohol). Might want to send someone to check for yourself before you get penalized for expired licenses and mouthy managers. Thank you. Arco Idaho

Family Dollar Face mask protocol

On December 21st at approximately 6:pm I entered the Family Dollar store located in Bethel, Ohio 45106. First of all I am a Honorably Discharged disabled Vietnam veteran. I have stage 3 emphysema and I'm not able to wear a mask for respiratory reasons as stated in the face mask mandate issued by Ohio Governor DeWine. After a few minutes one of your male employees approached me and insisted I wear a face mask. I tried to explain to him I wasn't required to wear one according to the Ohio mandate. He replied, "Oh, they changed that today", which I knew they hadn't. I told him he needed to read the mandate. He still insisted I leave the store immediately which was a total embarrassment to me., not to mention my girlfriend. I left the store and started to call the police and file a report in case I decided to pursue legal action.

Desired outcome: This individual should be released immediately from your employ and the other store individuals should be briefed on how to handle these incidences. I expect to hear from somebody in your organization immediately.

Family Dollar Complaining about the store in Dillon, MT. It is awful what a dump

This manager is awful carts and boxes block the isles you can't even get to the products you need because of the boxes blocking the isles,
The store is dirty and junky.
I go almost a hour away to shop in Whitehall, Montana to their family dollar it's so well maintained clean and organized..
Something needs to be done to the one in Dillon Montana PLEASE!

Family Dollar Temperature inside family dollar

I am writing in reference to Family Dollar in Bridgewater, Virginia. I have shopped this store the last 2 weeks and both times the store felt as though the air conditioner was in use. Our temperatures in our area have dipped to as low as 20 degrees. Last week it felt warmer outside than it did inside the store. I felt someone should file a complaint not only on behalf of your customers, as well as, your employees at the Family Dollar in Bridgewater, Virginia. Please also let me add, that your employees at my local store are always nice and greet me as I enter the door. They are always doing something to keep your store running. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to entering your store and shopping comfortably!

Family Dollar Unethical behavior by assistant manager

I went to the Family Dollar located @ 3324 Elsie Faye Heggins Dallas Tx, 75215 and the lines were extremely long with only two people at the register, the cashier Velvet a white lady was very polite and overwhelmed with a lot of customers. The assistant manager was behind the right side of the store behind the counter and I the customer asked her politely to please hand me some Tylenol from behind the counter. The assistant manager screamed at me and told me to get back in line and wait for the cashier for any items behind the counter. She cursed me out and told me she didn't give [censored] about me filing a complaint on her about her service to paying customers. I am a frequent customer of family dollar and would like to be able to speak with the Administration regarding her rude and unethical behavior. She should not be in management and should not represent family dollar as a leader in the chains of family dollar. She also threaten to fight me because I pointed out her lack of customer service. Please take care of this problem.

Family Dollar "Unethical behaviour"

I went to the Family Dollars Store at 3215 Williamson Rd. In Roanoke VA. I'm checking out I put my items on the checkout desk the cashier reaches over from the plexus glass to get my items I say to him aunt you suppose to wear your mask he mumbles I have one which I see he has one hanging on one ear so you should be wearing it. The virus can be spread in the air he laughs and said she said it's in the air then this lady jumps up from sitting on a footstool behind the counter yelling to me you don't know what the hell you talking about, this store following the orders then I ask the woman if I could I speak to their manager she then says I'm the manager, I say to her then maybe you need to be doing something else. The manager still yelling at me. I said if we wear our mask out of respect to them then they should do the same for us. The manager said i'm the reason the store is open that the store was closed the people that use to work there didn't care about the store they wouldn't. Open up until 11 am close at 6 pm when they should be opening up at 8 am. I tell the manager I don't care about that. She said the store would not hire black people until they hired her that's why the store is open now, I tell her the store is open because of me and the customer and that's why she has a job there. The manager then comes around to where i'm pushing. The cart out the way and tells me get your old [censored] out of my store I say to her I leaving anyway, she says to me don't bring your old black [censored] in my store anymore. She follows me out of the store and cussing at me calling me a [censored] a [censored], hoe I say to her no you the [censored] hoe the manager calls my mother a [censored] hoe then she tells me to get the [censored] off her property and if I come back to her store that she gonna call the police on me then she said to me you one them upper [censored] that goes to church every sunday acting all holy.. I feared for my life because she follows me to my car and never wore a mask the whole time and spit flying from her mouth. The manager walks away saying to the two black men who work there oh she said my momma a hoe I told her yea my momma a [censored] hoe that why I don't have [censored] to do with her [censored] [censored]. All this with the customer in the store and people going into the store and sitting. I'm having a hard time sleeping because this manger valuated me I want this manger to be fired as soon as possible. And I hope you don't want someone like this representing your business and working at your store. I'm going to file a lawsuit. Family Dollar Discrimination to employee

My son was hired by family dollar. He started on monday at 6am. Hes 18 years old and goes to morton high school. He started with the manager named eric whom he was told he quit. So the new manager derrick hired him. He started the day the truck came in on a monday the day he started at 6 anyway he unloaded the truck up until like 2 o clock. He admits to taking a couple of 5 min breaks. My daughter called to find out what time lawrence got off. At this point the assistant manager was present. Lawrence told his sister like 4 o'clock. But the assistant manager with the dreads told him no u get off at 2 derrick said u clock out at 2 or when the truck is finished. I was contacted at that point to pick him up at 2 or 230. Which I did. I katrina lawrence mom pulled in family dollar store 1228 at like 210 220. I got out my car and proceeded to walk into the family dollar and the assistant manager and two other employees were standing in the doorway. One employee said to the assistant manager i've been wanting to send his fat [censored] home several times today and the assistant manager says I know right.

Family Dollar I'm constantly being harassed and disrespected

I've been going in family dollar for many years, I've never had an associate yell at me and be very disrespectful over not wearing a mask. This is everytime I go in family dollar on MCLEAN me and my daughter are harrassed I told the manager soaul and Sharon who currently work there I have a medical issue with wearing a mask and so does my daughter and they both replied back they don't care we gave to wear it or we can't shop in the store. This is very disheartening to me and I've explained numerous amount of times if something happens to me or my daughter because you are not adhering to the Governor's executive order this store will be liable Sharon and soaul replies are they cant help me we still have to wear the mask like everyone does, Sharon also told the cashier's there do not check me out and soaul told the employees at Mclean family dollar dont let me in the store with out a mask even thought I've told him numerous amount of times I can't medically tolerate it, so I ask the someone please get involved and oversee this because at this point these to supervisor's or manager's are abusing their position, thank you I can be reached at [protected], my Name is Rhonda, thank you,

Family Dollar Obtaining appropriate change from purchases

I am writing regarding my visit to Family Dollar Store #07974, 944 No. Main Street in High Point. On my visit today, the store was unable to give me change from the amount tendered. My total purchase was $21.28, and I gave the cashier $22.00, which meant I was owned $0.72. The cashier told me she was unable to make change. I had a similar experience at the store last week. I just assumed that this was a one time happening; but it happened again today. Perhaps $0.72 isn't that much; but it can add up to lots of revenue if all customers are being cheated out of their change.

This practice is totally dishonest, and unethical. A lot of people are being cheated. The company should be ashamed to have such a practice!
I don't plan to shop at this store again.

Family Dollar Service cashier

To whom it may concern I am a 60 year old woman and a school bus driver living in Wausau Wisconsin I was pleased to see you opened a store recently closer to my neighborhood but today I was just talked to so disrespectfully and so rude I will never be back to purchase anything from store # 12422 located at 1405 N. 6th street Wausau, Wisconsin thank you hoping you find a cashier or manager that wants to work for you soon? Before you have to close this store? I saw no business traffic out in the parking lot and I assume the issues are as I stated above being the cause? Family Dollar Not open

People pulling up have they last bus fair to get to family Dollar the old they have COPD can't breathe I am sitting here watching. People are poor have a few dollars just to go in this family Dollar. It's is the Covid-19 people dying struggling no jobs they are not open the news needs to here about this. 8 times I came they was not open here in Shakespeare mall here in East Liberty PGH Pa the one one Apple in East Liberty they close early to at 8. When they supposed to close at 9. It's appalling and sad for the people through this pandemic. It all comes back never hurt the ones who is suffering. God don't like ugly. No matter how small it will come back

Family Dollar is excellent for the poor very helpful and understanding. We all Thank You. Keep it up never higher lazy selfish unhappy people. They have to have energy willing workers as a team it be is about businesses movement foundation and respect for the customers.

Family Dollar Cashier using profanity

On November 17th at 4:45pm I walked into this Family Dollar to purchase items. I noticed a male at the counter talking to the female cashier who was very loud in conversation.

Moments later the male customer left the store.
I approached the front of the store hearing the the same female cashier using profanity. She asked me if I needed some help as she was walking towards the back of the store. I was looking so puzzled faced when she asked me was I ok?

I then asked her did she realize she was in a public place of business cursing and using profanity. The female cashier looked at me and walked away still using profanity walking towards the rear end of the store. At that time the store manager came to the front. and was shaking his head at the store clerks behavior. I asked him why is she using profanity?

The store manager told me and I quote "Because she is GHETTO" I then looked at him in SHOCK (couldn't believe what he said) and asked for store information to file a report. Before I could get the store information the female cashier continued to yell at me telling me as she was walking down the isle saying "I wasn't talking to you" and I reminded her I was talking to her.
At this point I was done with ever shopping at this store again and walked out.

Family Dollar The manager

I have a very big issue right now at the family dollar with the manager.. Every time I enter in that store he is bugging me following me around the store, he has even went as far as touching me on my hip and lower back area. Now that crossed the line! I'm upset about this whole situation, because there is honestly no reason that should be happening! He is a manager, he should have respect for his customers. He also should respect the young females he hires I know lots of females that have stopped working there, because of his actions. I need someone to get back too me about this situation. Asap!

Family Dollar can opener

the white manager at colonial beach store is always hateful to me. today he charged me for the can opener but didnt put it in the bag. i asked for a birthday party type of table cloth, he said they dont have any. i asked for a couple of things, he wouldnt answer. when i checked out, he wanted me to walk over to the glasses and show him what glasses i looked at. he wants a war. he has my money.

Family Dollar Masks not worn and worn wrong

I go in the local store about once a week and hardly anyone is wearing masks and our county is mask mandatory. The employees wear mask but below the nose. I do not feel safe going in this store anymore and are hoping you can address this. This store is in Duncan, AZ zip is 85534.

Not 1 Employee was wearing a mask. And one of the ones stocking the shelves was coughing all over everything and not even trying to cover her mouth. I Can only imagine that they do not do any other cleaning or sterilizing of store if that is what they do when customers are there. With the fast rising of Covid in central MN it should be MANDATORY that the workers wear masks and clean the store!

Family Dollar Store manager spreading gossip about customers and other businesses

Over the past 5 weeks or so, the manager "Julie" while working at family dollar in dannemora, ny has been spreading terrible rumors about myself and my business. Also, I have seen her roll her eyes at customers and be rude to her co workers, speaking down to them and openly being rude to them. I run a daycare business in town and have supported family dollar since it opened. I will no longer do so. Julie told a former fd employee, as well as others that I molested my son and to stay away from me. This kind of gossip can put me out of business. I don't know julie personally and don't wish to. There is absolutely no truth or validity to these slanderous accusations. However in a small town such as ours this type of behavior is very harmful. I am meeting with a lawyer to see what I need to do to make this stop. However, family dollar should know exactly who they have representing them. And that this gossip is coming from inside their store from their employee while working. If needed family dollar will be brought up in my legal endeavors. I simply will not stand for this anymore!
