The CVS Pharmacy located at 1305 No. Randall Rd in Crystal Lake, Il is horribly managed and understaffed. I was on hold for 80 minutes ( 20 min on my wife's phone and 60 min on mine) waiting to speak to the pharmacy. I spoke with Dan at the front desk twice bc I was on hold for so long. His response was they're busy and take drive through customers before taking any calls. I'm really not sure how that can be an accepted SOP.
I had both knees replaced in the last month and I need my pain medication which requires insurance prior auth. I am willing to pay out of pocket for the medicine but it's impossible without driving to the pharmacy so I can speak with someone.
This is a consistent issue I wanted to make you aware of so hopefully you can address the problem. I hate having to get my prescriptions filled with CVS.

Desired outcome: Improve your process drastically and recognize if Amazon takes over prescription delivery your pharmacy's will be out of business

On 10/11/23 I received an automated text from CVS in East Bridgewater MA telling me my Rx would be "auto filled" in a "few"days. On 10/21/23 I received another text asking me PLEASE RESPOND (exactly like that) if I would like the Rx to be filled. I responded Yes, with my name, med name and strength of Rx. After hearing nothing since 10/21, today 11/2, I went to pick up my Rx along with one I called in on 10/29, I was told that they weren't ready yet, they would be ready in an hour. The Rx that I called in on 10/29 was supposed to be ready the next day after 12:00 pm. How is it possible that after 12 days a prescription is still not ready?
I use CVS because it is a pharmacy covered under my Medicare Advantage Plan. Beginning with my next refills I, along with other family members, will no longer be a customer of your business. The Customer Service is atrocious, and not the fault of the local store, it completely the incompetence of the Corporate Office.
Desired outcome: A response from the Corporate Office
It's happening here in Wilmington, North Carolina. CVS ESPECIALLY in the Pharmacy is RUDE, MEAN, and accusing with NO proof of something impossible of doing without proof. I've moved my medications to anyone else as long as it's NOT CVS or WALGREENS. I am talking to a lawyer now thinking of suing.
Lack of Pharmacy personnel

We went into CVS to pay for four prescriptions, and the line for waiting was 15 persons long. We didn't wait. There is one hard working pharmacist, and two run-ragged ladies waiting on customers. CVS needs more pharmacy personnel.
We went in last week to get these same prescriptions. One pharmacist lady said that one prescription wasn't filled because their phone order system wasn't working properly, so they never received the order.
The other three orders were priced "without" our GoodRXGold card prices. We decided not to wait for the prices to be changed because there were so many people waiting behind us.
Since we order these prescriptions monthly or bi-monthly, our GoodRXGold card prices should be listed in their computer.
Please help these poor pharmacy employees with additional employees.

Prescription was due but no refills, so I called the local CVS on Friday the 27th. Have not received any calls saying, you have a prescription ready for pickup. Call Dr office and she said it was sent in on Friday. So I go to CVS... Gave them my name and info. He closed the window and looked at the computer. The prescription was not ready. He filled the prescription and came back. I said was it not ready and he said no a computer problem...Medication that I need every day! This is inexcusable. Believe I will find a new pharmacy.
Desired outcome: You need a back up computer and people who act like they care, People have to have certain meds and if I had a heart attack or stroke it would be your fault.
Ridiculous phone wait times for pharmacy
I have always appreciated the CVS app for managing my prescriptions but there are times you need to speak with someone in pharmacy! I use the CVS in Fuquay-Varina (zip 27526) and normally do not have issues with them onsite but don't even think about trying to reach them via phone. In the last week, I have personally needed to speak to the pharmacy. I called last week and was on hold for 52 mins and then it went to quick busy! 52 mins wasted! Today (10/31/23), I called because a prescription on the app states I need to speak to the pharmacy. I am still on hold and at this point, I am over 50 mins! Of course, I am fully aware of vaccines that are available and that there is an app I can download. My Lord does CVS not have basic technology that would allow customers to keep their place in line and get a courtesy call back! Well not sure what else I can type but at this point, I am at > 54 mins on hold but at least it hasn't hung up on me yet. Come on CVS, you have got to fix this!

I have tried in vain for months to get someone to pick up the phone at CVS in GLoucester crossing. Their answering machine has the same buggy system any time of day that tells you the pharmacy is closed and then suddenly says it's connecting your call, then only to be told no one is available to take the call, please try later. Tonight I foolishly tried again only to be frustrated once more. Now I have to drive ½ hour round trip just to ask them a question. I'm moving to another pharmacy!
Prescription service
I made a mistake, and put my order in early. But it was 3 days early and they most assuredly should have had that as the first refill today (Sunday). Well the pharmacist (Jonathan) made me wait, then told me I had to come back in an hour.
I am a 70 yr old senior with congestive heart failure. I have to walk 1/2 mile to the pharmacy so this is VERY troublesome for me. The rest of the staff there is great.
When I came back, it was ready. This guy is a punk and very young, he doesn't know customer service at all. This also happened once before.
Claimed loss: nothing but aggrevation and physical strain.
