CVS Prescription unavilable, after being told it was in-stock and ready for pick-up.

On October 26, 2022, the drug manufacturer told me that the drug was in stock at CVS Pharmacy, 866 Eastlake Parkway, Chula Vista, CA 91914. I contacted the Pharmacy directly, and asked if the drug was truly in stock. After a couple minutes, the Pharmacy Tech returned and said, "yes, we have it in stock."

I advised the Pharmacy Tech that my doctor would send a prescription over to CVS. I confirmed that CVS received the prescription. The Pharmacy tech said the prescription would be ready in about an hour. I told her I would come the next day. She said the prescription would certainly be ready by then.

On October 27, I drove two hours to the CVS Pharmacy in Chula Vista. When I arrived, the Pharmacy Tech immediately said the drug was NOT in stock. I asked why I had been told it was in stock, in two separate phone conversations. I also asked why, when someone tried to prepare the prescription and could not, I was not notified it was not in stock, so I would not waste time driving to the store. Obviously, someone knew the prescription was not in stock, and should have notified me. She had no answer, but apologized. All-in-all, I wasted two hours of time an half a tank of gas. This CVS Pharmacy has no regard for customers.

Desired outcome: Remove item from computer, so it does not show in-stock. Locate the item at another CVS anywhere in the U.S.

I just had the almost the same thing happen to me! I ran out of my pain meds, tylonol 4, on sat. My Dr. called it in the same day, on her own time on a weekend. I called on Sun to go get it. The tech said it would not be in till Mon. it would be ready around 4pm. So I waited for a text and never got one. I calls on Mon to see what was going on. I was told they were out of stock and didn't think they could get it anymore! So its Mon I have terrible chronic pain and its not a good idea to just BAMM go off like that cold turkey?! So it's now Tues it's been 4 day's. My Dr just called and is calling it into Miejer pharm. I call them and they have some in stock but not enough. So they have lots in stock at there warehouse and all will be in tomorrow. So what if this had been heart meds, or blood meds, or any very important meds? It's just wrong, and dangerous! I am 68 and can't handle this C __p anymore.

I'm a regular customer I went to CVS today with my mom the one in Yorba Linda and Placentia I did my purchase first I noticed that the cashier Mary didn't charge me for a lipstick so she apologized then she rung me the lipstick separate which I wasn't able to apply my 30% because she used it on my previous purchase, so I let it go because she was very busy...

CVS Pharmacy continuously closed with sign saying "Closed due to lack of Employees"

10/27/22 went to pick up medication and pharmacy was closed due lack of employees. This has been happening quite frequently at this location. We also have been having issues with the pharmacy losing our medication after it is filled. This is unacceptable! How are customers supposed to pick up much needed medication if the pharmacy is closed during normal business hours. This truly needs to be investigated and rectified for the health and safety of your customers.

Location:

CVS Pharmacy

I need my thyroid. When will it be available...correct medication, correct dose, correct amount and correct directions?

CVS Service rude

We moved to Howey in the hills, fl and the closes cvs is minneola (814 n. Hwy 27 clermont,fl store #3384.

That one male [censored] pharmacist is the rudest person I’ve ever talk to he is not helpful he acts like you’re bothering him when you ask a question I’ve been to many CVS is from Pennsylvania New Jersey Delaware Georgia for in Florida and have never been treated the way we are treated over there we have six special needs kids so we have a lot of medication‘s and this is uncalled for for his behavior ask him a question he’s like your bothering me.

We hate going their but it’s the closest.

He should be fired for talking to people like he does!

Might I suggest you get a mystery shopper to go in there and ask a couple questions and fill a prescription and find out for yourselves.

Desired outcome: He needs an attitude adjustment or fired.

CVS Pharmacy

Recently my CVS location was closed and the pharmacy customers were merged into another CVS. I came to find out 3 other locations were as well. They combined a total of 4 stores into one but added no pharmacy staff. Not only is this frustrating as a customer but also as a fellow human being. Watching the pure hell the pharmacy team goes through on a daily basis to meet a customer line that is constantly clear across the store is hard to witness and I feel a lot of empathy for them. I’m not sure how very serious pharmacy mistakes aren’t made in all the chaos. Who ever made this business decision should be fired…or worse, they should be forced to work one week on that team and see what they are putting people through.

Desired outcome: Hire that team some help and get a new decision maker on the corporate team.

Yesterday, I drove up to the pharmacy window and there were two cars in front of me. After waiting for 5-7 minutes, I decided to go into the pharmacy. When I got there, the clerk was waiting on another customer, she left the counter to help the customer find something in the store and said she would be back in a minute. After 4-5 minutes of waiting, I...

CVS customer service

10/26/22 I went to CVS in Duncan, Oklahoma. I was dropping off a package to be returned by UPS. The employee did not attempt to greet me at all, never made contact, and told me to put the package on the counter before she even got to the checkout. I asked for a receipt and was told that they don't do that anymore. No THANK YOU, HAVE A NICE DAY, absolutely NOTHING! I realize it was early, I arrived at 8:00, but she should be stocking, straightening shelves, or something other than waiting on customers. Unfortunately, this is not the first time an employee at the same store had a "I hate my job attitude!" If corporate would send a decoy anytime during the day, they would see exactly what I'm talking about. I know employees are hard to find these days, but good grief!

Desired outcome: I would like someone that has authority to go to the store and see what's going on.

CVS Closed during working hours

I have my prescriptions sent to the CVS at 11911 Us 70 Bus Hwy W Clayton, NC 27520. on 10/25/2022 I called around 12:00pm to ask how late they would be opened so I could pick up my prescription that was very much needed. The lady told me they close at 9pm. So after a 10 hour day at work I go to pick up my prescription and they closed at 6pm. I got there at 6:12pm. I was very angry especially since it took me 25 minutes to get there. I was very tired and needed my medicine. There needs to an alert to go to cell phones "saying closed early" just like alerts that go to cell phones when prescriptions are ready to be picked up! I wasted time and gas money! I work as a Medical Laboratory Technologist for UNC and I can't just close the lab down when I want!

Desired outcome: CVS to stay open during their designated working hours

CVS Pharmacy technicians

I don't remember the (date) first time I had an issue with my fathers prescription, but it was methimazole 5 mg. The pharmacist gave him 10 mg. Now if I never read the mg., my father would be dead and I would be sitting in prison right now. Now today I was refilling his monthly pill case, I opened his Alendronate Sodium Tablet packet box, it usually contains 4 foil sealed pills for the month. Taking once in a week. This box had six pills in it foil packaged like the regular pills are, but the foil package had another name on it. I looked on line and these pills were for nausea. The woman at the pharmacy accused me and my husband (he is on hospice) of switching the medicine out! How dare her! She wanted everybody names and birthdays that live here so she could get our profiles. This woman was everything but nice. I would like to see an internal investigation done at this store. She kept on saying this prescription is not recent. He gets his every 3 months. I always keep his meds in the bag with the original label on it until I start dispensing the pills. This was the last month (box of 4 pills) I no longer had the label. This woman was rude and accused me of basically switching out my fathers meds. We are not druggies looking to get opioids or insurance scammers. She wouldn't even listen to me before she wanted everybodies names and birthdays so she could get our profiles. Profiles for what?

Desired outcome: Further investigation. She should have some faith in customers testimony. FOR RIGHT NOW I DESIRE SHE BE RELIEVED OF HER DUTIES AND PUT IN A CUSTOMER RELATIONS CLASS.

CVS Racial Discrimination of African American employee to Asian (oriental) customer

Oct 23, 2022 Sun

RE:. CVS Store #8877

671 E. 1st St., Tustin, CA 92780

From:. Ms. Richards

P.O. Box 15922

Santa Ana, CA 92735

1. I am an Asian female that looks Chinese, Korean, Japanese. Today I was at this CVS to pay for some items. No other customer was in.line nor at the register and a CVS female employee of African American looks was less than 5 ft from me but said she could not ring me up. She stood there as I waited and waited. Her ID tag name stated name of:. Alondra

2. This started around 2:30 pm or thereabout. This CVS employee told me I would have to wait about a 1/2 hr for another employee to ring me up. There was still no other customers there and she was standing around a few ft from me doing nothing.

3. She stated I could use the self-serve which I declined as I am elderly and told her too many people touch those types of checkout where COVID and viruses can accumalate or spread.

4. Me still waiting to have an employee wait on me so I could pay and leave, some 20 minutes later, while this CVS employee Alondra right there. A white lady approached Alondra and said she wanted to return merchandise, and then right away this CVS employee proceeding to go behind the counter to cash register to help the white lady, so I started verbally complaining to CVS employee Alondra that she was discriminating against me and that what she was doing was unlawful. She disregarded me and started waiting on the white lady whom also happened to be younger than me. I am in my late 60's.

5. I then let other customers inside that CVS know the CVS employee was racially discriminating against me by yelling how I had been waiting at the counter to pay for my stuff for over 20 minutes and she wouldn't wait on me but is waiting on a white lady that just showed up !

6. So then this CVS gal Alondra said she would wait on me. She rang me up but when I went to pay in cash and waiting to pay and get back any change due, Alondra instead choose to.help the white lady, again discriminating against me and making me wait.

7. After paying around 3 pm, I went to the other CVS employees there to complain and ask to speak to the manager about employee Alondra. Instead, 2-3 other emoyees went and got ondra and told her I was comaining about her.

8. This shopping experience was very stressful and traumatic for me. It was a nightmare trying to get the things I needed at that CVS just because a racist employee didn't want to wait on me to take my payment and other employees were in the Pharmacy Dept so I was left alone with only that bad, racist employee.

9. I took photos of the CVS employee gal Alondra to show who it is that violated my civil rights by racially discriminating against me as a paying customer. This Alondra started screaming at me that it was unlawful for me to take her photo without her consent. I informed her she was wrong; a person can take a photo of someone who committed a crime. It is a crime to racially discriminate against a person.

10. I will be letting as many people know about what I went thru to there, in person and online.

I wish a news crew was there to video tape what horrible treatment I received.

Signed:. Ms. Richards

Look oriental but a USA citizen and in USA since 10 months old

Desired outcome: That employee Alondra should get fired or put in a position where she doesn't wait on customers RE:. CVS Store #8877 671 E. 1st St., Tustin, CA 9278

On Oct 22, 2022 , there are a group of African American men that like to sell cigarettes and drugs around your store. I have on numerous occasions sent complaints about this. It is very unsafe for me and my children to come into your store. I have to travel over 2 miles to shop at your store. I have had my prescription sent to a safe location. This is very concerning to me .

CVS CVS Pharmacy drive through

I have been waiting three days to get my prescription filled. I live 12 miles from CVS and it costs money to drive these days. I have visited this pharmacy three times and was told each time that they are working on my refill. today I simply asked the lady at the window " why can't they get my meds filled"? and she took my Medicaid card and slammed the sliding window in a hateful attitude. then she had this young looking woman bring my card back to me then without saying a word this woman also slides the window without saying anything.

I then drove away in total confusion. I have never been treated like that in my life.

I am in shock. How can these people be trusted with the job of handling peoples medications? The CVS Pharmacy I am referring to is Galax Virginia.

I never got my medications refilled. My wife is also having the exact same trouble. I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I am very concerned about other people who need very important medications refilled on time. Your two employees that did this are acting in a very unprofessional way.

The incident happened today 10/20/22 at around 2:05 pm at the CVS in Galax VA. my name is Dennis Tate I have been a customer with CVS for a year or so now and up until lately things were pretty good. like I have stated I am very concerned about the health and well being of myself and others.

CVS Store closed earlier at 1762 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne NJ 07470

Tried to enter the Wayne, NJ store at 10:32pm on Oct 18, 2022 to buy diapers. The lights were on but the doors were locked. No one came to open the doors after repeated knocking. Other would-be customers also arrived and left, vexed.

This is the second time this has happened at this store in three weeks. I called the store and to her credit a female claiming to be the manager (although the listed manager is a male) answered and said the store was closed due to internet issues. Going forward, I suggested switching internet providers. But more importantly: put a short note on the door indicating why the store is unexpectedly closed. It’ll save a lot of grief. Don’t just lock the doors and ignore knocking customers. It’s very irritating for all the customers who be drove there late evening but had to leave empty handed, myself included, wondering if the staff are lazy, or if they’re incompetent. A sign on the door would’ve saved people from such negative thoughts. When in doubt, communicate.

Thanks.

CVS CVS pharmacy/ Ready narcotics should not be allowed to anyone to pick up!!

My doctor called in my 2 medications because they are narcotics . I went by their on 10/17/22 to check for status about 1:45 pm , 10/17/22 and employee told me they had not received order yet. So at 5:29pm that same day I received a text from CVS that one of the medications was but I waited to receive text for the 2nd medication so I could pick them up at the same time. So the next day 10/18/22 about 1:50 pm I called and told them I had not received text for 2nd medication and he one on to tell me that they were already picked up on 10/17/22 at about 7:57pm. I told him I didn't pick them up. So to make a long story short, someone else asked for my 2 narcotic meds, "apparently they gave them my name and birthdate", so they stole my meds and now I am without my pain meds. This procedure is broken when ANYONE with an ID can walk up or drive up to CVS and give them the name of someone and birthdate and be handed narcotics. I understand that someone might be disabled but I believe that ONLY! the person who's name is on the bottle should be given the meds because they belong to me and no one else. FIX THIS!

Desired outcome: Narcotic medications should only be picked up by that person whose name is on the bottle......Not for anyone to help themselves to it. Change your procedure CVS or I'll go somewhere else that can respect my privacy

CVS calling and speaking to a pharmacist

I've had just about enough of calling the CVS Pharmacy in Phoenix 12409 N Tatum Blvd and spending way too much time being unable to speak to a pharmacist. Your auto answer is useless and very frustrating. Now I'm told that what I've written is too short and will not result in the outcome that I want so maybe I should say [censored] you very much and I will be using Safeway Pharmacy going forward. Enjoy losing customers

Desired outcome: Have a much easier way to get through to a pharmacist or I will take my business elsewhere. Response appreciated.

CVS Pharmacy rude behavior - pharmacist, pharmacist tech, drive up window employee

On Oct 11 around 4 pm I went to the CVS pharmacy located at 4901 N Main St Dayton OH 45415. I used the drive-up window to pick up prescriptions for my children and also my standard scripts. Although the lady at the window struggled with names and birthdates, I was very patient and understanding. She stated the prescriptions for my children would be ready in 5 minutes or so and she could not locate my prescriptions. I explained that I received a text the scripts were ready and perhaps they had been put back. She was not able to view any that had been put back. I assumed she was new, or this was not her usual job and did not push the issue. I was patient as I started to look online for my scripts that should be ready, while I waited at the window for the scripts. I had a recent death in the family and missed the pick-up date. She then told me to pull around so she could get the customer behind me. I thought that was odd because I had never been asked by the pharmacy to do so when they were close to completing filling a script. I still complied. I circled around and back into line which allowed two cars to be ahead of me. Once I found the scripts for myself on my online account, I called into the pharmacy. The lady who answered the phone seemed anxious, which made me anxious. As I tried to explain why I was calling, she often cut me off and spoke over top of me. I tried to answer her questions as she asked but found we were speaking at the same time. It was as if she was rushing me and that made me more anxious. I stated that I think we are both getting anxious and maybe should work this out. She told me she would hang up on me if I didn't answer her questions. I said I was trying to and asked what questions she had. At that point she was hanging up as I spoke. This was nearly 10 minutes after I had been asked to pull out of line. Incidentally the car that pulled up after me was still at the drive-up window. Therefore, had I waited at the window and not been asked to pull out of line, likely the scripts for my children would have been ready. After I hung up on, I went inside to the pharmacy with my children. I stood at the front for some time while the female employee at the drive-up window glared at me. It was strange and in retrospect, seems confrontational. I finally said, 'I would like to speak with whomever I should whenever they get a chance.' I did not get an acknowledgement. I stood there quietly. Finally, the male pharmacist named Roger shouted he was busy, and I could stand to the side. When I asked if he was who I would speak to, he shouted at me, chastised me and threatened to call the police if I did not leave. I never got an opportunity to address the issue as he continued to shout and threaten while my kids were there too.

The pharmacist must understand it is unacceptable to threaten or act on police involvement for a trivial matter. That is a waste of resources and can lead to escalation rapidly. I was complying with everything I was asked, yet I was greatly mistreated.

This entire experience was so traumatizing for myself and my children. I was denied medication for my kids, spoken to abusively, degraded, and had the police used as a threat. A pharmacist like this empowers his staff to be rude by ignoring customers, hanging up on them and terrible customer service. It is no wondered the staff that day were poorly trained and exasperated.

Desired outcome: Train the employees of the CVS pharmacy good and safe practice polices-to not take things personal or out on other customers. Compassion for customers.
