I went to my local Wendy’s on Allen Street, in Springfield, MA and ordered a single combo meal. When I reached the window, I was told the total was $16.58 — an absurd price for basic fast food, and not for any kind of upgrade, just the standard meal. I canceled the order on the spot and instead purchased a $7.49 Biggie Bag. What I received was appalling: soggy, cold, stale fries and a burger so thin it was practically nonexistent.
This is unacceptable. Wendy’s appears to be exploiting customers, particularly in underserved communities, by charging outrageous prices while delivering substandard, borderline inedible food. This isn’t just poor quality control; it feels like price gouging paired with blatant disregard for customers. I want accountability and expect restitution for this experience and, more importantly, a formal investigation into Wendy’s pricing practices at this location and others like it. Consumers should not be punished with excessive prices and inferior food simply because of where they live. This behavior deserves scrutiny, consequences, and corrective action.
Claimed loss: $7.49
Desired outcome: I want restitution for this experience.
