Stop & Shop Employees of store #473

Hello,

While shopping at the stop and shop in Fall River Ma our cashier was commenting on how gross the stuff is that we were purchasing. The cashiers name was Riddek.

Also while leaving I had to walk by an employee on his break that was sitting at the bench outside the store, he was smoking pot and I had to walk by him with my 1 month old and 9 year old.

Stop & Shop Waiting over 20 minutes for a price and never receiving it

On Sunday Oct 8 th. I shopped at Stop & Shop on Ave Y Brooklyn location . I always check the reduced rack for smashed and damaged cans . I wanted to purchase a badly damaged can of tomatoes. I waited at customer service for over 20 minutes. The cashier continually claimed it should be full price . When I asked to see a manager no one ever came . Eventually I left .

Desired outcome: I am willing to still go back and purchase the item . I live close to the store . I think it should have been addressed in a timely manner & customer service should not have insisted the damaged item should be full price

Stop & Shop I’m complaining about an education and zero training on the topic of service animals

I went to my local Stop & Shop, and while I was shopping, noticed a fake service animal in the store. This lead me into a panic attack. I found a worker and told them about the incident, and they said there is nothing they could do. It is illegal for them to have brought their animal. The dog was putting germs all over all of the products as he touched everything and got in the way of many carts. The staff should be educated to know the difference between a service animal and a fake service animal as well as the difference between emotional support animals and service animals. I am disgusted by the lack of attention put towards something so important. I know many people with service dogs, and it only takes a minute for another untrained dog to attack.

You definitely sound like a Karen, oh my goodness " this lead me into a panic attack" very dramatic. The dog was touching everything? So he kept jumping up and putting his paws on everything? Lol do you know how many dirty people go in there touch everything with there hands? Do you know how many times I've seen someone in the produce section wipe their nose with their hand then proceed to look at the fruit touching a few til they find which one they want? 😂 pick your battles sweetheart

Stop & Shop Can and bottle return machines

The Stop & Shop on Ft. Salonga Rd. in Northport, N.Y. routinely has their can and bottle machines not working at all or working improperly by spitting back cans that were definitely bought at that very store. This morning, no machine was working properly at all, and no employee to attend to them. Meanwhile Stop & Shop continues to collect $.05/can without providing a working machine to return said cans and bottle in complete violation of NYS law. I informed the so-called Customer Service person who provided no answers or service whatsoever. In addition, the utter filth of the room itself is beyond description. I've been in Subway rest rooms that are cleaner and less odoriferous. It's a disgrace and it has been a longstanding and consistent disgrace with nothing done by management about it for a long time. My next email will be to the NYS Department of Health to visit the site.

Desired outcome: Working can and bottle machines and a room that is cleaned more than once a year.

Stop & Shop weekly circular

Until today, For the last four weeks or so you have been sending to me in an envelope via US mail the appropriate weekly sales circular for my local store at zip codes 10583, [protected]. Today, I received the circular for other zip codes, similar to the one I receive normally with all my other weekly circulars; these I cannot rely on or use since my local stores in Mamaroneck, Larchmont and White Plains refuse to honor the sales prices shown in those circulars. The managers tell me to go find another store in the appropriate zip code represented in that circular. Why can't you get this corrected permanently? Certainly I am not the only one this stupid mistake affects: it affects everyone who lives in the non-addressed zip codes such as 10583, 10601, 10598, etc.

PLEASE, PLEASE don't force me to shop at another supermarket brand store.

Stop & Shop Gift cards

I am the Parish Social Minister and oversee the Food Pantry at my deceased parents church. I am blessed to receive a quantity of Stop and Shop gift cards from an affluent church close to the one in which I work. This is my fourth year. I use the cards to replenish our shelves and freezers. This year, the cards are coming up zero. The gift cards have the gift activation receipt taped to them. I keep them either in my office or in my home until I hand them to a client.

I've contacted Stop and Shop's Customer Service, the Hotline, the designated phone number but no one can explain how these cards are coming up zero or are being use when they are in my possession. Stop and Shop has not been helpful.

I am in the process of producing an excel spreadsheet documenting each card.

I have found four Stop and Shop stores in the area where the gift cards were purchased. Two of these stores, West Hempstead, NY and Carle Place, NY were the store where most of the cards were purchased. I have notified the coordinator and we are considering purchasing gift cards from alternate resources for this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I am losing funds to help my clients who need the food these cards can provide.

Desired outcome: I would like the cards that were legitimately paid for, replaced or the cash given to us for these cards. I want to be able to buy the equivalent amount of food for my food pantry.I could not down load the file it is an excel spreadsheet.

Stop & Shop Produce manager - wethersfield store in ct

7/31/23 -

I went into the store in Wethersfield, CT around 9:30 am to purchase a large fruit platter. The produce manager passed by me twice without acknowledgement and finally I stopped him and asked about a fruit platter. He stated that a woman was working on them in the back and will have them ready in an hour or more. I went back to the store at 11:30 am, and there were no fruit platters. I went to him again and asked where were the platters? He "stated she didn't bring them out?" Actually, there was no one working on them in back. I had to wait 15 minutes additional minutes for someone to make my platter. If I didn't need the platter for an office party, I would have walked out the store.

As a paying customer the manager should have made sure that my request was ready and completed. I normally would let things like this slide but my time his valuable and to drive back to an establishment and get ignored and not have want I requested ready is unacceptable.

I do feel that if my completion wasn't kalamata, I would have been treated better.

Why was the cheese slicer shut down at 8:25 PM when the store closes at 10PM. I wanted to get cheese sliced and I was told the cheese slicer was shut down. I was directed to the grab and go section which did not have the item I asked for. This is the 2nd time this happened recently. You should put up a sign the deli is closed. Stop & Shop Customer service

I was just at the Ridgefield Ct. stop and shop store and I have to say that I am disgusted by the customer service in this store. I needed assistance in the butcher shop area with slicing steaks. No one was anywhere around to even ask for help so I stepped over to the seafood area that is shared with the butcher shop. I asked the man working behind the counter (who was on his phone at the time) if there was anyone who could help me with some steaks. He immediately gave me attitude and asked what I needed that it was all in the case. I told him there was not any in the case and that I needed some steaks sliced. He said well Mike can do it (with attitude). So I asked if he could get Mike for me. He finally ended up slicing them himself for me, but he was nasty and I don't think I should have to deal with this as a loyal customer of this store.

This store is despicable. The customer service is very poor. As a customer I don't feel it is my job to go searching all over the store to find help when an employee is standing right there doing absolutely NOTHING.

Desired outcome: I would like a response and better management in this store location

Stop & Shop Service

Was on self check out and needed assistance. Waited for a while no employees. Told 1 lady working I was gonna check out with her cause I couldn't get help. She told me with attitude that only 1 person is working. I also tried to explain to manager and she was nasty aslo. Why am I rining up my own groceries and getting nasty attitude from employees? How about hiring more people competent ones and eliminating self check out cause customers are not expected to do their job unless maybe employee discounts are available if I bag and ring my own groceries.
