I just left your store located at 200 East Main Street, Stratford, CT 06614 where I was treated with racist degrading disrespect by Donna at the Seafood section. I needed some Porgies and some wild caught Salmon. I started my order with three Porgies and asked for the smallest ones and immediately Donna insulted my intelligence by saying they are all the same size in a condescending tone while and lo ok king at me with disgust. I ignored the insult but then Donna packaged the fish and placed my order at the end if the counter that is designated for disabled customers, while I was standing close to the beginning of the counter behind the splash board. She then rudely asked if I needed anything else while she was walking away from me. I asked her where is my order and she pointed to the disabled area. I asked why was it placed there and she insulted me again by saying that is where all orders are being placed since COVID. This racist woman saw me as a slave that does not deserve the same courtesy as other shoppers whose orders are given to them "face-to-face" infront of them at the counter where they stand. She placed my order in a corner as if I am beneath her.
I spoke to David the store manager whi said that he will talk with her but I told him the matter MUST be documented as an incident report because I will be following up with any store manager on shift.
If this lady is not fired I am requesting that she be sent on an 8 hour or equivalent compulsory diversity training plus a customer service course and afterwards write me an apology for her racist disrespectful attitude towards me. I can collect the letter at the store upon completion.
Failure to comply with th it s request will leave me no other alternative but to seek the assistance of the Connecticut's Hunan Right Office (CHRO)
