To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to inform your offices of the worst experience I've ever had at one of your locations. On October 4th, I was in your Carteret, NJ store and was in there to purchase a deep freezer. While waiting for a salesperson, I wandered around your showroom and upon impulse, decided to purchase a TV. The salesperson (Scott) showed us a 75" LG floor model (75UN8570PUC) and gave us a wonderful price because it was allegedly only missing the legs and a remote. Scott also suggested I purchase the 2-year warranty since it was a display model. While in your showroom, everything appeared to be in working order. Once the price/purchase was decided, I allowed Scott to re-open my PC Richard account (which I haven't used in years).

After purchasing the deep freezer and TV, Scott informed me that they didn't have the original box that the TV came in. He said they would wrap it in bubble wrap and it would be fine. The stock person helped bring the TV to my truck and needed help in loading it. I don't know what happened from the showroom floor to the stockroom, but when I got the TV home and plugged it in, there appeared to be an internal hairline fracture running across the screen. Since the TV was purchased on a Sunday, I contacted the Carteret, NJ location the following business day to complain.

I asked for Scott and explained the situation. He then put his manager (Joe Rossi) on the phone. Again, nothing was resolved and the manager was rather nasty. I then decided the best course of action was to physically return the TV to explain to them about the internal damage. They continually kept saying that there was nothing they could do since the TV was physically damaged, which it wasn't. Then I requested to speak to yet another manager (Mike Garrison). This was truly the worst customer experience ever. Not only did they accuse me of damaging a TV that I had in my possession for less than 24-hours, they were basically rude and put me out of the store.

Needless to say, the TV remains at that location and since they wouldn't offer to replace the damaged TV which I was sold, I want a refund. I am not paying $800 for damaged merchandise that has a useless warranty and the sales staff was extremely disrespectful.

I've also contacted the BBB to formally complain. I will contact any/all persons associated with PC Richards until the situation is rectified.

PC Richard & Son Delivery of stove

I went to Deer Park Store to purchase an electric stove was told I couldn't get it delivered until 12/31 I agreed to that date and was also sent a confirmation email to be delivered on that date . I was unable to get a time frame because the number on my receipt was not recognized and when I called the day it was supposed to be delivered the said I changed the delivery day. When I told them I never authorized a change in the date and I did not receive my stove and now I'm getting the run around about when it will be delivered. I'm ready to cancel my whole at this point and go somewhere else to purchase another stove

PC Richard & Son Bad service and deceptive/ fraudulent pricing on the receipt

Purchased an gas oven range and $400 promo amount from mfr was not taken off the item amount but rather at the end of transaction - after adding larger installation & removal fees, etc... Sales tax was added on total larger amount vs lower amount - this is wrong - and they claim they will deduct $200 from the installation amount after delivery - because they can't do it on the current "old" register... This is wrong to take higher tax amount from customers... I had other receipt estimates from other retailers that did not do this but they did not even show interest or offer to "price match" competitors as pcr claims to do. Salesperson was rude and mean since I retracted my purchase and they showed no interest in maintaining good customer service to clients buying from your establishment for 20+ years... There are others to buy from, I do not need to be treated like I did something wrong!

Desired outcome: i'll be buying from another more reputable establishment

PC Richard & Son Electrolux dryer and electrolux washer

I previously complained about the Electrolux Electric Dryer and the issue was resolved by issuing a store credit. PC Richards ordered a new Electrolux dryer on 09/28/2020 and as of today (12/22/2020) it has not been delivered (out of stock with no ETA available). That is 120 days with no estimated delivery date? Now the matching Electrolux washer is in need of repair again. Since this is a matching pair I can not purchase another dryer which in my opinion renders both washer and dryer unrepairable (since PC Richards can not obtain the dryer from the manufacturer). Other manufacturers Electric Dryers are not compatible with the Electrolux washer therefore rendering both obsolete. Basically since they are matching pairs when one malfunctions and can not be replaced within a reasonable time period then PC Richards in good faith should credit the washer as well so I can purchase a matching set that is in stock. Desired outcome: Issue Electrolux Credit (I have a service contract) so that I can purchase a matching set Wwasher and dryer stackable unit

PC Richard & Son Full kitchen order

I recently moved into a new home and was required to work with PC Richard by the builder of the home. From the beginning, it was a horrible experience. We went to the store in New Haven CT and had to work with Chris Mutts. On the day we met him to pick out our appliances he was complaining that his pain meds were wearing off from a recent surgery and told us that he really didn't have anything to show us and not sure why we came into the store. Meanwhile, we had called a week earlier and he scheduled the appointment for us to come in and meet him. After about 2 weeks we were finally able to place the order for the appliances we wanted. Due to COVID, things are back ordered which we understand but they assured us we'd have everything in time for closing on the house. A few days before closing they told us everything but the fridge would be delivered and it was due to come in about a week later. This is where things completely fell apart. We used our dishwasher for a week before it completely stopped working because it was never installed right. We have a propane stove and the tech team who installed it converted 4 out of 5 burners and our fridge order seemed to have disappeared and no one would give us an update. We called Chris constantly asking for updates on parts for the dishwasher, the converter for the stove burner and the fridge. Each time we called, Chris gave us the run around and was either on his lunch break or not in the store that day to check. At one point, he cursed at my husband and hung up the phone on him. From there, we started dealing with the store manager Brian who seemed helpful at first but we quickly realized, not the case. He too, kept telling us a different story every time we called. So we've now been in the house a month and have no dishwasher, the stove is still not fixed and we ended up getting our fridge at Best Buy, ordered and delivered in about a week.
Finally, we thought we were getting somewhere with the dishwasher. Since they admitted it was their fault, they agreed to exchange the dishwasher for us rather than wait for the part. We had called when we placed the order to ensure the installation was added and the delivery was scheduled. Chris told us yes, no problem everything is scheduled for Tuesday 12/22, fine. We got a text Monday confirming the appointment and then Tuesday morning get a text from Chris himself that things will now be delivered on Thursday because the install was not available. So what it seems is that Brian and Chris never entered the order properly and scheduled the delivery and install and now its too late.
This whole process has been beyond frustrating, Chris and Brian are super rude, completely incompetent and do not care at all about the customer. They've managed to mess up our order in more ways than I thought possible and the only reason we have one working appliance is because we went to Best Buy.

Desired outcome: Brian and Chris at the New Haven CT store should be fired. I want my dishwasher delivered and installed today as scheduled and I want the stove fixed today as scheduled.

PC Richard & Son hp 23.8" all-in-one with amd athlon silver 3050u, 8gb ram, 256gb

I placed an order on 12/06/2020 with order number 012-3567449 and the expected delivery date was 12/09/2020. Which was the reason I placed the order in the first place because I needed the computer for work. I could not work on Monday and Tuesday. I was expecting the computer today so I can catch up on work. I realized the UPS tracking number that was provided was not being updated. We are working from home and if I had known the computer will not come today, I would have tried different stores to see if I can find one. I called the PC Richard customer services and the representative were being rude saying there is nothing they can do. I told them to cancel the ordered so I can try to see if I can find it in another store. The said they can't cancel the order. I need my computer for work and I cannot lose a job because PC Richard do not want to assist.. They can refund my money back immediately if they can't send my computer.

PC Richard & Son Dishwasher

The first repair appointment was on August 31 after calling a month earlier.
I was told parts were needed. When the parts came in, the repair was scheduled for September 29. It was a no show. It was rescheduled for 10/22 and the technician was sick. Rescheduled for 10/29, but by then the
dishwasher had ceased working altogether, so new parts were required.
They were supposedly ordered.

There are so many parts which need to be ordered to make this
dishwasher function properly again, that I think PC Richards should
just give me new dishwasher to replace the Kitchenaid that I have and
have been unable to use for 3 and 1/2 months.

My warranty doesn't expire for two years.

PC Richard & Son Customer service / damage to home

Delivery service did $1, 800 damage to our front door and damaged new Refrigerator. The owner of the trucking company lied to cover up their Liability . In addition the microwave did not work and the stove was dented. PC Richard would only pay $400 of the $1, 800 of damages. Customer Service never called back after 4 promises to speak with a Mabager.

PC Richard & Son Installation of new appliances

I recently moved and needed all new appliances. I bought close to $10, 000 of appliances to include a washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave.

Part of the decision to buy from PC Richards was because of the installation and removal of old appliances.

According to the workers that showed up to do the work, they were unable to hook up my washer, dryer, and dishwasher. In fact, the did not ever remove the old dishwasher (which I was charged $30 for each removal)

PC Richard & Son Product repair service

I purchase an electrolux clothes dryer and at the time of purchase also purchased an extended 3 year warranty. The unit is part of a stackable washer and dryer both purchased and installed by pc richards.
The dryer stopped providing heat. Called for a service appointment and after 10 days the service technician arrived. Upon arrival he stated he could not determine the repair since it required 2 technicians but he ordered a heating element which he felt was the issue. Pc richards informed us that the parts have been received and another 10 day wait for an appointment. Upon arrival only one technician arrived and could not perform the work. Again called and the service could not be scheduled earlier than 10 days. Pc richards once again said the parts came in and to schedule an appointment. What parts came in again? The appointment again scheduled 10 days was for yesterday sept 24 and the pc richards technicians did not show up. I even received a text message that the technicians would be arriving shortly. The pc richards technicians never arrived! Called pc richards and they did not provide an answer as to what happen to the missed appointment and then said the dryer parts came in yesterday?! I believe they are not being truthful and I would like pc richards to replace the electrolux dryer.
The invoice number is [protected]. First service call was scheduled aug 24. It is now sept 25 and the pc richards service setup another appointment for oct 6! Six weeks since I first reported the issue

If you think I am going to let this go you are mistaken! Anthony tabacco on june 25th I returned two ink cartridges 34.08 was suppose to go back to my bank. It never did. This is the second time I have complained about this. The last email said I would here from a manager. Never did! Invoice#[protected]/ surely your bank statement will tell you where it went because it did not come to my bank

PC Richard & Son Repair

I purchased a kitchen aide refrigerator 20017 and a 10 warranty. So I thought that I was covered. Within a year my ice maker was not working so I called pc richards they informed I be better off going with dan marc appliance repair so I did it took them 5 times to fix the ice maker called richards told them I have to take off of work ever time they try to fix it. No cared one of mangers I talked to after 5 times you are going to have to let us fix it I told him after 5 times to fix I did give him time it. This year refrigerator was not cooling called again to pc richards they referred me to dan marc.
Tech spent 5 minutes looking at said it was the fan we will order parts that would take another week. I brought in other repair service I was told that it wasn't the fan. He spent time to fix it not get jerked around. The $ 400 10 year extended warranty is a joke I will never buy another. I will not buy anything buy pc richards again

PC Richard & Son Service was made on maytag dryer but the service rep. installs the flex vent pipe which is not within code

Service was made on maytag drier but the service representative installs the flex vent pipe after cleaning and servicing. Flex vent pipe is not within code and It's a fire hazard to install flex vent pipe on a drier. I don't feel safe to use the drier since. The service rep. refuses to fix told me that its ok and suggesting a 2nd opinion if I have an issue. Last service was on 08/13/2020

PC Richard & Son lg refrigerator repair

My refrigerator stopped working about 3 weeks ago. Called PC Richard service because we have a 10 year warranty. Technician came one week later and ordered new parts. About 5 days later parts came and were installed but the refrigerator didn't work. Called again and for a second time the technician came and installed some gas but again the refrigerator didn't work. A third technician was sent a few days later who measured the refrigerator temperature and said it can't be repaired. Because it was Saturday he said the invoice for the refund will be ready by Monday. When we called yesterday to our surprise a complete different report was submitted. The technician had said that the costumer did not allow him to repair the refrigerator. I'm in disbelief that someone can literally lie about this. People like him shouldn't be representing the company. They are playing games with peoples lives. I have been without refrigerator for 3 weeks with tempers of 100 degrees
Now I have to wait for another person to come on 8/5/20 .
Unbelievable.
We purchased many products from PC Richards, most recently purchased outside appliances however, this is my last purchase. I would never buy anything from you again.

PC Richard & Son Delivery of merchandise

Dear Gary Richard,

we had a scheduled delivery on July 1st, 2020 between 12:30 to 3:30 PM in Midtown Manhattan. We were told to be called half Hr. before the delivery so that the management can be informed and all protection is made for the delivery so Truckers do not waste their time. The management close at 4 PM and No workers allowed to work after 4 PM. All this was informed at the purchase. All were confirmed the day before the delivery. on July 1st, We have made numerous calls after 12:30 PM for the delivery to confirm the time. We also had parking blocked for the truckers since 12:30 PM because parking is difficult. Despite many calls to the store and corporate office, we were not able to locate the truckers. Finally, after lots of aggravation and frustration, the trucks showed up at around 4:15 PM when the management was closing. While unloading the Dishwasher and Microwave on top of the dishwasher it fell on the floor very hard. ( see photos)
It was very late and the management staff has to work overtime. We have also taken a day off because of this delivery. there was scheduled delivery for the granite countertop next day but the workers cannot work after 4:15 They have to leave and the appliance was not in place to measure the Granite countertop net day. So all other schedule were messed up. was late and has cost me day of work as we couldn't install the appliances

We still do not know the full extent of the damages to the exterior of the appliances but won't be able to know the damages of the interior.

I have been your customer for the past 25 years and have bought thousands of dollars merchandise purchased for all my rental
Apartments ( 15), along with recommending many friends and family members throughout these years to purchase from you you especially as I value our partnership here.

I never expected this to happen and it's very unfortunate. If there are any further damages I will let you know but we may need to talk about a possible rebate.

PC Richard & Son Stove

I will never buy from pc richard & sons again. I own aparments and have to replace damaged stoves. Pc richards delivered a stove range with a missing part. I was told to expect the part in the mail but after a month of waiting the part never arrived. Another manager reordered the part but nothing arrived after three more weeks of waiting. I spoke with another manager who said they don't have a part available and he ordered a replacement stove. Their pc richard delivery worker damaged the oven door and badly scratched my steps. I got the runaround with trying to get the damaged stove and steps repared. Eventually, I got a worker from their coorporate office to replace the damaged oven door. It took three months for all this to get resolved. I no longer trust pc richards since they were not truthful about not having the missing part in the first place. Furthermor, their delivery workers were not trained on the proper way to remove and reinstall an oven door. Poor service!

PC Richard & Son Wrong item

On june 9th I purchased a flat screen tv from the pc richard store 1574 boston post road milford ct. Sales counselor 9854 mr. Lason helped me. He sold me model 32lm570 tv black which it should have been the white tv. He told me he had it after he came from the back. When I got home and my husband opened it it was not the correct one. I called several times and was hung up on with 13 minutes left before they closed. I decided to keep it but they need to make sure customers get what they asked for.

PC Richard & Son Maytag washing machine

My washing machine stopped working properly within a month of the 12-month warranty. Service call consisted of 4 trips, waited on parts the first 2.5 weeks, a week later more problems with washer, would not spin out, 2 more trips back with service, to determine I need my washer to be replaced,
In March was told no installations, but we can deliver your washing machine on your driveway. Wow, that means a 74-Year-old woman would have to bring it down the basement and install it myself. Are you kidding me?
With the virus, no installs. so here we are 2 months no washing machine, and many trips to laundry mat costing me $35.oo a week.
I live on a Social Security check and can not afford this. Guess your service department doesn't consider appliances are essential. But so many other companies are still operating. Please get me my washing machine.

With respect, the complaint doesn't explain why any of this would be PC Richard's responsibility. The machine had, "problems within a month of the 12 month warranty." Does that mean within the 11th month or the 13th month? In either case, wouldn't the responsibility then fall to the manufacturer, being Maytag? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the fact that PC Richard was trying to help out would then seem extra ordinary.

There are a lot of service and delivery personnel that are not entering homes right now. I can't imagine anyone's life being less valuable than that of an appliance.

PC Richard & Son During pandemic purchased range; on credit card for 5 weeks; not available

Emailed customer service on may 3 - item purchases april 3, no delivery - told not in stock, with promise of 30 day delivery. Pc advertisement email from pc richards on april 30 has the exact range at a lower price and promises next day delivery. Juliana never responds nor escalates to some one who can address inaccurate, untrue information in the pc richards advertisement - false advertising. Juliana just chose to ignore - obviously customers are not important to business. I should receive item for free.

I received an email from pc richardson april 30, (attached) - "prices slashed", next day delivery (attached)

And it is amazing!

The exact same item (check the # nx58r9311ss) I ordered - that you now say is a "special item", is advertised on april 30 for less money and for next day delivery! Yes, on the same day juliana stated "it is a special delivery item" and not available.

Hmmmmmmmm... What exactly does that mean? False advertising?
Lying to the consumer? Misinformation?

PC Richard & Son They Claim they give a Veterans Discount and Don't

In November 0f 2019 I purchased a 49" LG Television at the Ozone Park PC Richards and took it home with me.
After carefully picking out the Television that I wanted I spoke with the Salesman and informed him that I was a Veteran. He asked for my ID which I gladly supplied him and he entered the necessary info into his computer and then summoned the Manager over to inform him and that is when I was informed that since they were giving Everyone Employee pricing the so called Veteran discount was impossible to give.
At that point I voiced my opinion that they were scamming us Veterans with a Non Existent discount and that I was quite unhappy.
I did write corporate and here it is 5 months later and they Never had the decency to respond to me.
