Me and my wife needed to refinance our home we knew it was worth more than we owed. However since it was a manufactured home we had problems with finding mortgage companies and brokers to work with us. I live in *** and *** pretty much discriminates against manufactured homeowners and makes refinancing very difficult. Global Equity and *** worked through complex process very hard and diligently even being very patient with me when I became frustrated in the process. Long story short we got it done we got closed money received debt is getting cleared and financially it has been a real game changer for us. So if you got a manufactured home them a call and see if you can work with *** They will get you taken care of.

I attempted to refinance my house thinking my excellent credit score and timely payments for over ten years would be relatively easy, but I soon found out differently. Having given up the idea I put it on the back burner, until Lance C with Home Point Financial reached out and said that HPFC wasn't the same as the rest and assured me that they could get it done. While we did experience some minor bumps along the way, they came through; dropping my interest from 5.5% to 2.875% and enough cash out to do the improvements I wanted to do. Lance Cowling and his team was both friendly and professional and was always as close as an email or phone call away with the answer to my questions . I highly recommend Global Finance and want to thank them for a job well done.

I feel I was vastly mislead by this company. When they brought the papers for me to song I refused. They were not what we had agreed to at all. Then I felt pressure to sign anyway and regret this horrible decision. I was told they would pay off most of the credit cards which is the whole reason for doing this. They only paid off 2 smallest. Not to mention they used another one for paying all theses additional fees that kept coming up so this only raised the amounts I owed overall. Then the *** fees to them came out of closing. Never ever again. It will more than likely take a year to get my credit back up to the 746 it was at before I signed their papayas: thanks to them it is now down to 630. Great job you scammers. Do not use them or you too will be in remorse!

I was kind of in a hard place, so I put the word out on line, I was looking to refinance my house. I was contacted by Global Equity Finance Inc. The guy who called me was very good as he had information I needed when I asked any questions. I also let him know what I needed and what I wanted, he agreed and started the paperwork. Within about three months I was approved and the money and payments were being sent as we talked, They paid off my Car, paid off my credit card, and gave me what I needed per my request. To this date I am free of debt, except for a new house payment. The new payment is only few hundred dollars a month more then what it was in the beginning. I am very happy with the services I've received from Global Equity Finance Inc.,to this date. Thank you very much.

I just had my home refinanced with Global Equity Finance, *** was my loan officer. This was a great experience. Having refinanced several times over the years of being a homeowner, this by far was the easiest one. *** was always available and went beyond what I ever expected him to do. He called to let me know what was going to happen, helped me fill out papers, explained the documents as I went, sent reminders assuring me that I was on track, and even called to let me know when things were received. My whole loan was complete, with equity money I took out, deposited in my bank account within 2 two weeks. I want to really thank *** and *** the executive loan officer for doing a spectacular job in assisting me in refinancing my home. They were expedient and very professional people n every task that they performed. I was back and forth from Georgia and New York taking care of my elderly parents every week *** due to their sicknesses. This was a very difficult time for me in life and I certainly did not need anymore problems. Moms passed after my application process and these two guys were very helpful during my time of need. I would recommend Global Equity for their outstanding and professional services that was rendered to me. Every stage was transparent and full of financial advise to my future goals at my residence. They even helped me pay off $10,000.00s in credit card problems that I was drowning in. Now my credit is very very good and I am no longer suffering in debt. First off I want to say a big thank you to global equity for saving me hundreds of dollars a month. Initially, we were planning on using a different finance company to refinance our house. Global equity was the third company we spoke with and we let them know we had petty much decided on going with someone else. Rabi S asked if we would mind sharing some of the details of the proposed loan to make sure we were getting the best deal. He spent an hour on the phone with my husband and I going over each line of the other companies proposed mortgage. He pointed out a shady area that the company used to make it seem like you will be paying less. When in reality the mortgage ends up being several hundred more a month. I was shocked. Needless to say his transparency and willingness to show us what he could honestly do for us won us over. It took just over a month from beginning to end for the refinance to go through. Rabi listened to our financial needs and goals and helped us come up with a plan to achieve them. I have already referred him to two friends.

GEF is just a place that wants your money. Although we did end up having our loan refinanced with them the final product looks NOTHING like what was pitched to us when we began the process with them. Ray, our first GEF representative was not forthcoming with the information he provided and promised us a rate that ended up not being honored. They will "sell" you on the idea of a low rate, not having to pay your mortgage for 2 months, and getting your Escrow $ back. None of these things happened. They waited until the last minute to tell me they could no longer honor the rate they stated, and we ended up only getting to "skip" one mortgage payment. We had to get a manager involved just to get CLOSE to what was originally promised to us. And then, ***, the manager was terrible at following up on questions and concerns from us, and as soon as the ink is dry on your new loan forget hearing from them at all. At the tail end of this experience, you can tell you're just a number to them. If rates hadn't skyrocketed towards the end of our refinance journey I would have terminated the process with them and gone with someone else. I would not recommend them.

My wife and I contacted this company back in Feb 2022 about refinancing our home and cash out. The company representative that we were dealing with ask for many different documents to move forward. We sent everything needed to move forward. Shortly after sending we were asked to pay off a few debts to be able to do the refinance. I paid off right at 5k worth of debts then was asked to pay for an appraisal out off pocket. 6k later we should be good to go no more docs needed. We move past that and on the day of signing final docs to close we were told oh by the way we can only loan 65 % but was told up front in writing 80%. So needless to say red flags. After speaking to a manager we decided to still move forward. 2 days later phone rings we need more documents. Have tried contacting the company multiple times and no response. The representative we were dealing with " *** and his Manager *** " blamed other in the business no fault of there's. This company is the biggest joke I have ever dealt with. I my self am a business owner and if I treated people the way they do I would starve to death. Run and run fast from this clown company stick with local banks.

I recently re-financed my home with Global Equity Finance and I had the distinct pleasure of having *** as my "Senior Loan Officer". Right from the beginning I knew I was dealing with a true professional. She showed me right away that she had empathy for my wants and needs, not for what she or her company might gain. The whole process took less than 4 weeks. In that time she did not miss a single day of communicating with me, even if it was just to say "my team and I are all over this, not to worry, talk to you again tomorrow". We did have a couple of hic-cups along the way but she and her team did not look at these challenges as challenges but as opportunities to show me how good they really were. Another thing that really impressed me about *** was her continuous mention of how terrific her "behind the scenes" her team was. If you are in the "thought only" process of thinking of a re-fi, do your self a huge favor. Look to Global Equity Finance for help. It is very likely that all of the senior loan officers associated with Global are more than capable, but I know for sure you will not do better than ***. There is about 50 years difference in *** and my age but I wii forever consider her a dear friend. Her friends, family, and fellow employees know her as ***. I know her as *** "Awesome" Rains. I was contacted by the company to refinance my house. I really do not want to go through this process but the insured me without the market is right now I would have no problem refinancing and pulling money out of my house. They even said if I wasnt able to pull money out of the money I wanted to I can definitely just refinance and get a better rate. So I went ahead to the process and I really do not want to do or felt skeptical about youre unsure. I paid the money for the appraisal appraisal came in a little bit lower than what I needed they said it wont be a problem they will just refinance and Ill get some money but it wont be much and Ill get a better rate. They also stated that I would be refunded my appraisal since the loan will be funded was emailed from the underwriting team the approval of the numbers that everything would be at since they already had all of my financial documentation from the start. A few days were by and I didnt hear anything so I had to reach out to them for them to tell me that I am unable to get refinanced because of something on my credit the car loan which they knew I had from the start. Im writing this review only because I was given false hope an empty promises the communication from this company was extremely unreliable I was never contacted for anything I had to always reach out to them. So bottom line after receiving a call from them with these empty promises Im just out $500.

I refinanced with GEQ in April . I gave them all the paperwork needed and was in ntact with my loan officer all the way. He worked with me even putting the appraisal fee into the loan. When the closing date came, I did not receive any *** payment information. No checks and after about two weeks no payment on my bills. I called my loan officer and he said he would check into it for me. He got back to me the next day and said they showed I had received the checks via *** on 5/17. I informed him I never received the checks, so he said he would have them re-mailed. I then received them in about three days. I also received them again about two weeks later. I had to pay $709.00 to my new homeowner's insurance mpany to not have it cancelled. I was told I would get the money back when they figured out why they didn't get the original payment. I called my loan officer when I saw on the loan paperwork that the $709.00 was to be paid and went to my *** website and saw they had my old insurance *** on the escrow acunt. He said he would check into it for me and would get back to me. The next day he got back to me and about a week later I received a check from my old insurance . and the $709.00 from the new insurance . I have gone back to the new mortgage . site and they were showing both my insurance . on the escrow acunt. So I have ntacted the new mortgage . and they are in the process of getting rid of the old .. My loan officer was never hard to get ahold of and helped me in a very timely manner with all the issues that came up. Most of my issues were through the new mortgage . making some clerical errors, that were rrected as soon as they were found. I would remmend this mpany to anyone who asks.

TO: Global Equity Finance, *** Attention: Davin (***) *** Today, Thursday, December 9, I am creating for you a detailed letter of events that will summarize my activity with you and your firm as well as the occurrences involving this property, and the potential fixes to the property and mortgage ability. On July 23, I began to re-finance my mortgage with Global Equity Finance in July. I currently have a 5% interest rate on my mortgage. It is a carry back thru Fidelity Loan Servicing from when we first purchased the home on August 17. On July 27th, We were IMMEDIATELY approved for the loan after the documents requested were submitted, We have always been creditable and never lied or misled anyone there. From the beginning, I explained that I have a "Super Single" manufactured home on just over 1 acre of land in northeastern AZ and it wasn't disclosed to me about it not being the *** I thought I had purchased.While in the process of refurbishing the home, we found the original document for manufacture and corrected the listing in the county assessor's office and with the insurance company. We also informed the Realtor, the previous owner and the originator of the property of our findings. So everyone is now on board. We turned a "junk" property into something nice and anyone would want to own. We completed the upgrades and repairs in September before labor day and wanted a new loan to pay off the debt and have a fixed monthly mortgage with all of the previous owners off the loan.They could not go any further in the lending process until they had an appraisal. They were literally betting on the appraisal being +/- $200k and said doing their "minimum loan of $100k was easily done, had to have the appraisal! The first attempt at an appraisal was a farse, they billed me $1400 for an initially $325 appraisal. They did refund me, then said they found an appraiser for $610 and charged me then the appraiser never showed. They refunded me again. I was very specific about my concerns with paying this new amount because it did jeopardize our monthly bills and they said to just make minimum payments until we close. He then "Promised me" to fund immediately and finally found an appraiser to do for $1000 and billed me for it to find out the appraiser only received $750 for his service. The "clearing house" gets the rest. The appraisal comes back at $178,400 and they think it is great (I know it's ridiculously low!). They then drag their feet and say the house is not a double-wide and never was. The lender has to be changed. So instead of United Warehouse Funding they have another bank to do the loan thru for a higher rate and more points. We finally signed the new bank documents and signed documents with Global Equity Finance that locked in and guaranteed a *** percent interest rate. Global Equity's employee, Davin (***) ***, that I dealt with told me multiple times that all we needed was the appraisal for my home to finish the refinance. Now it is October 12th and I spent $1,000 on the appraisal. From the beginning of the transaction, they were aware that my home was a manufactured single-wide home.On October 15th, they informed me that the lender he chose did not finance Single-Wide manufactured homes, that we needed to use a different lender, and that the ***% interest rate was now impossible. He tried to sell me on refinancing to a ***% interest. I was even OK with that new loan and I still want it. According to the lender, "We will shoot for an End-Of-November Closing". Paying off a lot of debt and fixing monthly payments on a fixed retirement is essential to do and now these are new excuses being posed to me by the lender. This is their final notice to us about our loan and have not talked to us about it since. Only this e-mail was sent on October 27th. Global Equity employees won't even call me or take any calls. All we need is a waiver issued to fix this and they won't even talk to me. This was the final communication from this company, hiding behind the curtain of government regulation when I was going for a simple conventional loan. Per e-mail quote:This is per *** (not ours)Loan Ineligible - Loan is Ineligible for transaction due to following:1) Subject is Single-wide Manufactured Home Not eligible for Cash out transaction;2) Single-wide Manufactured Home Over 10 Years Not eligible for transaction;3) Per Appraiser, subject property moved from other site to current location- not eligiblefor refinance.Working with the appraiser to try and clarify/revise the report so we can try and save the loan, but of course we cant change #1 or #2 since we confirmed its a single wide, but I'm working on #3 to try and save it.Now I can't even get them to call me and we really just need a waiver for funding. Here are some very realistic answers for you to consider.1.Pay off the home and the debt, I am not looking for cash, just more construction money so if you have to, fund it like a construction loan.2.This home was built after January 1, *** non-compliance. 3.Since the property had official information filed about it at the county consistent with improper information for both property lines, formal markers, and not matching information to the original construction of the home, it has been totally modified and refurbished with many replacements and upgrades to conform to become a new 2021 Super Single-Wide Manufactured Home and is permanently mounted to the concrete posts and stem wall below. It will NEVER be moved again! So, file the waiver and fund this property. 4.As another possible solution is with all of the re-engineering of this structure, we may qualify for a new engineering certificate and that will in effect change the date of manufacture for the financial ability of this home. This process can take up to 60 days to complete but started the process on December 7th. It could become a match to the 2008 date that the chassis was moved onto the property, OR a new tag may be created and a new build certificate issued for either 2021 or 2022. depending upon the inspection and the process results. Either one is OK by me. We have been fully transparent this entire time to all involved, Including the *** The engineering office, the treasury office, the appraiser that you sent and you, the finance department whom we hope will still complete the mission.There is very high expectations of everyones performance. Obviously, my wife and I have been extremely busy for the last 4 years making this place nice. Now, as much as we have done, we need to be recognized for our efforts. Hello ComplaintsBoard.com, I just need to express my dissatisfaction or complaint against Global Equity Finance (GEQ) based in San Diego California. So that it wont happen again. I applied for home loan to refinance. I have a FICO of 615. GEQ is charging me over $11,000 in Origination Charges. Only to find out that the origination charges cost only over $2,000 with other lenders. I asked GEQ if the origination charges of 2% fair. GEQ told me "yes 2% is the most" . Here are my complaints: - Dishonesty, GEQ tried to make most profit out of me. - Unwilling or unable to help me better my FICO. The other company KAM Financial helped me rescore and get over 620 FICO. I was abled to get a difference of $8,000 less. - Unprofessionalism by trying to charge more.
