I ain't gonna lie, my experience with Appliancesdirect was straight up terrible. I was trying to buy a new fridge and James from Sales was acting like he was better than me. He was talking down to me and making me feel stupid for asking questions. I couldn't deal with that kind of attitude, so I cancelled my order and asked for my money back.
I mean, come on, I'm just trying to buy a fridge here. I don't need someone making me feel like I'm not good enough. And it's not like I was asking dumb questions either. I just wanted to know about the warranty and delivery options. Is that too much to ask?

I recently had an experience with Appliancesdirect that left me feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. I ordered a ceiling cooker hood with remote control and ducting kit on March 17th, 2022. Unfortunately, when my electrician went to fit the cooker hood, we discovered that the remote control was missing from the box.
I immediately contacted Appliancesdirect via email and phone (which cost me over ?11 as it was a premium rate number) to try and resolve the issue. Despite numerous promises of a delivery date, nothing ever arrived. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life.
To make matters worse, I received an email this morning stating that they had closed my case without any resolution. This was the final straw for me, and I have now started a chargeback with my bank.
This is not the first time I have had issues with Appliancesdirect. The only other time I used them, they delivered a huge order which was just plonked on a pallet in my gateway. This prevented me from being able to get my car out of the drive. No one even bothered to come to the door, they just dropped it and left.
I strongly advise anyone considering ordering from Appliancesdirect to think twice. The poor customer service and lack of care for their customers is simply unacceptable. Save yourself the hassle and find a more reliable company to do business with.
