On 01 November 2025, I bought a foldable wardrobe online, for R456.
This morning (10 days later) they cancelled my order and raised the price of the item to R1 200.
No communication in between, just a discrete refund.
Section 23 of the Consumer Protection Act prohibits this conduct.
I incurred bank charges in processing the purchase. I also bought items I did not need, in order to qualify for free delivery.
Does the refund consider all this? You guessed it... NO.
If this isn't unethical, I don't know what is.
Recommendation: AVOID giving this company you money if you can.
