I had An emergency with one of my large iguanas and turned to them because no exotic vets were open on a Friday night. I agreed To a $5 chat fee then got hit with a monthly recurring membership fee when I entered My credit card in for the $5 fee. Nobody answered my chat. So I opted To pay for the $28 phone call from a vet instead and nobody called me. I contacted their live chat and the representative asked for my email and told me to hang tight while she looked up my records. She then hung up two minutes later because I was “Non responsive”. I have A screenshot of this. I reached Out to yet another chat agent. She offered me a free vet call for my troubles, but I had Already paid for that call.
I waited An hour and got NO call.

Monthly billing
Last month I contacted your service to get a one - time consultation with a lawyer to resolve an issue. Now I am getting monthly billings which I did not agree to. I only agreed to a one - time service. lease stop these billings. If this is not resolved, I will refer this matter to the Better Business Bureau and the Wyoming department that handles similar complaints. I used Just Answer on what I thought was a one- time service but now am being billed every month for a service I do not want and do not need. I have contacted the company three times to cancel whatever is causing this billing without a response. How can I get this problem resolved?
Refund 55.00 of the 60.00 charged for a monthly membership that is not clearly shown.
I see most fell for the same charge trap I did. I understood my initial charge to be 5.00 and I was connected to a professional in their field. I was notified I would be charged for a call from this professional and that was clear, and I agreed to the charge of 59.00.
I didn't see anything about being charged 60.00 per month afterwards as a membership fee.
I called about the 60.00 and was told that it was noted on the website, but I did not receive an email stating the membership charge for 60.00.
I called this company immediately this morning and was told that that was a charge that was listed on the website after the 5.00 fee.
I see may have had the same experience and since I was told I wouldn't be refunded 55.00 I guess I will have to go to my bank and cancel that charge.
I am confident this will be quickly resolved as I was shocked to see so many others scammed on the Monthly fee.
Just be upfront. Don't offer a 5.00 charge to change it to 60.00. That is a classic Bait and Switch.

JustAnswer: (Expensive) Advice on pricing painting
On 28th august 2022 I posted a question to JustAnswer after finding the website on Google. I understood that this would cost me $1. On the website and simultaneously via texts I was asked if I wanted to continue for a higher fee. I stopped the chat and was unable to reply to any texts JustAnswer had sent. After checking my creditcard transactions in january 2023 I noticed that JustAnswer have taken $28 from my creditcard on 5 different occasions. I didn't agree to go ahead with the extra services that had been offered to me. This is a SCAM. I don't even have any login datails for this websight. I want my money back.
Desired outcome: I request JustAnswer to reinburse the cost of $140,00.

The company falsified their protocol by charging additional fees that were not previously disclosed
The company proposes to answer a question for $2 and then without disclosing that there is an automatic $53 charge added for an unrequested membership that is charged monthly unless cancelled. The initial charge however is stolen from the users account and not refunded.
This happened on Jan.10.2023. I called their [protected] and got a convoluted response as to why the unrequested membership was automatic and so was the fee.

Annual membership charge imposed
On January 9, 2023 I had reason to contact Brother (Printers)Canada through their website and was directed to your service where I was offered access for $2. An assistant inquired what I needed and linked me with an 'expert' who was able to resolve my question/problem quite quickly. After I was finished, I checked my credit card charges and noticed two - one for $2, one for $79. I immediately contact your agents and was advised this was an annual membership fee. I indicated I did not want a membership now or in the future; however, the agent refused to refund the $79 charge. He did undertake to cancel future charges (membership) but would not refund the current charge. As i was not advised of this charge, I feel I am not obliged to pay and want my charge refunded as quickly as possible). Although the 'expert' was able to assist, his efforts did not warrant such a high charge,

My 15 year old granddaughter used my credit card to get a trial use and now I can't get the monthly recurring charge to stop. I get the same recording when I call. "Based on my phone number I have terminated my subscription and will no longer be charged." I call every month and get the same recording and a confirmation number. $46.00 keeps being charged got my card.
Now reporting it as fraud on my credit
card.

I asked a question they offered me an answer if I paid£1 refundable, and now it seems they want to take £35 per month. They have taken 1 payment from my paypal account on Sunday 8th January. I have now cancelled the authorisation. But Just Answer says they don't know me. They owe me £35, for an account which they say I haven't got. I want it back!

Vet help
I was experiencing an emergency with my pet. I did a Google search to see if something my dog ingested was poisonous. I was directed to Just Answer. After a brief description of my issue I was redirected to a form to pay a fully refundable $5 fee to be connected to a vet. I now understand that their tiny print with full terms of service says they are going to charge you a monthly membership fee but people that end up on this site are likely in a urgent state of mind to get an answer. Who thinks to click on another link and make sure they aren't getting scammed. Just Answer takes advantage of vulnerable people and springs surprising charges on you. They didn't help me anyway. A company that operates business like this should be ashamed of themselves. It is immoral and lacks integrity. They do not have a satisfaction guarantee as they state. I will never recommend this company to anyone. In fact, I'll tell everyone to run as fast as they can in the opposite direction. I'm disputing the charge with my bank and including the screenshot that said $5 fully-refundable. COMPLETELY MISLEADING.

Refund for monthly fee!
I went on just.answers to ask a mechanic a question. They said the fee to ask my question was a one time returnable fee so I payed it. Later I was reading up on this website and saw many people saying they were charged a monthly fee by just.answers without their knowledge or approval. So I went back to site and did some snooping and wouldn't you know it, they had charged me a 35 dollar monthly fee to my credit card without my knowledge or consent! I canceled membership but am still being billed for the 35 dollars they charged me! Transaction is currently pending on my credit card. When I try to access any of their support/customer service areas of the site I just get an error report! Go figure. I want my money back that was wrongfully and illegally taken without my knowledge or consent!

Then I was charged an additional $46 for the first month’s fee when I was not aware I approved that or signed up for that service. I assumed from their website that the $1 fee allowed me to try them out. The website showed the $1 fee to start very prominently but I did not see anywhere stated that the first month’s fee would also be charged, so I assumed I would only be charged for $1. The site also said I could cancel at any time. As soon as I figured out that they charged me $46, I called and spoke with a supervisor who advised me that there were no refunds. Their website is misleading and covers up what they are intending to do. This is a trap for people to sign up for their service thinking they will only pay $1 to try it. People should stay away from this company.

They reached out with an email address to contact regarding the issue. After emailing them they responded within 30 min resolving the issue and full refund. Pleasantly surprised and thankful for your help with this matter.
Fraud charged me for membership and i didn't agree for that
Today morning I was feeling sick and I was searching and i wanted to consult a doctor as per the website it shows 2$ for any question and suddenly the payment page popped up. I put the details in thinking of 2$ and i didn't get the service when i checked my credit card i saw they charged me fraud 75$ instead of 2$. I called customer service i was surprised she put all the blame on me and said that was my mistake and she can't process my refund. I told her everything but she said she can only cancel the membership but i will not get the refund. This is not acceptable. I want my refund this is not good business practice.

Moreover, they marked the issue resolved without any help.

I had a pet emergency in the middle of a night and their service came up as someone I could talk to, with a veterinarian, to ask question. It was a $29 service fee (plus a $5 fee for an initial fee). This was on 9/29/2022.
I just noticed that they have been charging me $29 monthly since then. When I contacted them to refund the months of Oct-Dec, they refuse to do so stating that I signed up for a 'membership'.
It was not clear to me at all during sign up that this was a recurring membership.
Desired outcome: The fee charged in Sep/2022 is legitimate. However I need the charges for three months Oct-Dec refunded, $87 in total refunded.

Microsoft question about a problem

Unauthorised credit card charges
I only asked for the £1 trial but have been charged an additional £30 this month which I have been told is not a one-off payment but is a future monthly payment.
I signed no authority for this and made no membership request.
My question was not answered in a timely manner: it was supposed to answered within a time period of 8 minutes but took over 6 hours, by which time the fault had rectified itself. All I originally asked was what a certain code meant which appeared on my washing machine after a power cut. It seems it just needed time to reset itself.

Help with a computer question.
On December 27th, 2022, I had a simple computer question. While searching for Microsoft Help online, the website "Just Answer" came up. I was asked if I wanted to get an answer to my computer issue. I was also asked if I wanted an expert to answer my question. I figured I did not want a [censored] to try and fix my problem, so I responded yes. On December 30th, 2022, two charges appeared on my checking account. I charge was $39.00 for the computer fix. I called "JustAnswer" to inquire of the second charge for $46.00. The customer service person said that the $46.00 was a mandatory subscription fee for getting an answer to my initial question. I was unaware of any subscription charge nor any prerequisite acceptance of a $46.00 charge to join "JustAnswer" before paying for the actual "expert" to answer my question. This operation stinks of a scam to me. The company cannot return your membership fee, only cancel it while pocketing my $46.00.

I requested help connecting my HP printer to my laptop printer on November 24, 2022.
I was connected to a person who tried everything I had already tried. There were numerous repetitive attempts while I sat watching with no success, either by direct cable connection or through my router. After about two hours, I had to leave to go to an appointment. It was suggested I reconnect later. I got a new "expert" who tried many of the same things also with no success. I gave up but they encouraged me the next day to try again. Now a third "expert" tried a couple of new approaches but was still not successful. The third person explicitly told me he would see I was not charged but I have received charges for $1 (Join fee) and then successive charges of $39.00, $39.00, and $46.00. For that I could easily have a new printer. As it is now, I have no working printer and excessive charges with no result.
