Last week I had a trouble with a subsicription on an app provided by I Tunes, it was the first time I had such a problem and I was not sure how to cancel it and get it a refund, I googled and I found Justanswer on google and I filled out the requiered information and was aware that I had to pay £1 to proceed which I paid. I chatted with someone who couldn't proceed to further help unless I pay £27 which I refused to pay so I eneded the chat. Just yetserday on 25/Feb I was surprised and rather upset to find out that £35 has been taken by Justanswer without my consent and for no services of whatsoever I had already got. I tried to contact them to explain the situation but I was atumatically dircted to other links where I had to pay again th chat with an "expert"

JustAnswer Monthly subscription

My mother-in-law who is in her 80s and has progressing memory and other ailments sought out the services of JustAnswer back in May 2021. She had no idea that she was signing up for a monthly service for $35+ per month. We just recently had to move her into assisted living, and in reviewing her financials discovered this continuing monthly fee. We called JustAnswer customer support and they said there was nothing they could do, they stated the website clearly states the terms, etc. We asked to speak to a manager and they stated as well, sorry, nothing we can do, not obligated by law, etc. I see there was a class action lawsuit also against JustAnswer, and although no admission of guilt, they settled. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law, although technically would have been eligible for the suit, is just now discovering this monthly fee. This company is making money on elderly who are unknowingly committing to a monthly fee of which they are not receiving any services for in return! It is outrageous! Shame on JustAnswer!

Desired outcome: JustAnswer should do the right thing and refund the over $600 my mother-in-law has been charged for a service she has not used, nor knew that she had.

JustAnswer Unauthorized monthly membership charge

I authorized a $5 payment to use JustAnswer only one time in January of 2023. I received my bank statement today and there is a charge of $46.00 by JustAnswer on February 7, 2023. I demand a full refund of this amount and will be contacting my bank on this next business day to refuse any more recurring charges from this company. I did not authorize a monthly membership of any kind. I will be asking my bank to investigate this charge as well, and to be sure no charges other than the $5 I authorized have been taken from my checking account. I have never received any kind of confirmation notifying me of a successful charge for this monthly payment, which again I did not authorize. I had no idea this was or would be taken from my account.

Desired outcome: I request a full refund of this unauthorized charge and would like an explanation for why and how this happened.

After reading the other complaints, I am sure I will find a second charge of $46 or more taken out of my account on the day that I used JustAnswer. I will be collecting my checking account records for both January and February 2023, and if I find any more charges, I demand they be refunded as well. What a fkin scam.

Jan24/2023 I went to the website, paid $.200 that was supposed to provide me with an answer. I did not talk or chat with an agent because I closed the webpage. I received my credit card statement with a charge of $66.00? For what. I want to be reimbursed asap. This is a fraud charge and want it removed and an answer why the company took the charge of $66.00 from my credit card. I will contact the better business bureau of Canada and also the fraud department for my credit card.

Desired outcome: i want the charge removed. and answers why it was done. . i expect a full refund and for the company to remove my credit card information so no other charges made on my credit card. please resolve asap.

Dear Customer Care Service:
On November 29, 2022, I had a question about my laptop and was told there as a service fee of $6 I stupidly agreed. Then I saw a charge of $47.00 appear on my credit card. I immediately hung up without speaking to anyone. I tried to cancel payment on my credit card; but I was not only charged in November but subsequently charge in December 2022 and January 2023.

I never received any help, nor did I ever agree to a membership for one question. This is a scam! To rip off gullible and careless people. I spoke to Janet in your customer service department, and she refuse to refund my never agreed upon membership, though she offered to it cancelled from today. That is not fair! The fee and automatic should have been made clearly from the beginning. I will try to contact the Better Business Bureau in San Francisco.

JustAnswer I think it was a question on French Drains

Hello, I called you people a few months ago, asked a question and was told you needed more information in order to answer me properly. I ignored you as I figured my problem out myself. I saw later that you took out money $53.00 CD from my account and I said nothing because I figured that this was your fee for asking and I let it go. However I noticed that you have been deducting money from me every month since, however I have not asked for any more of your assistance.

I want this stopped. I have not been able to find a proper way of unsubscribing so if it does not stop I will have to take it further. Today is February 16, 2023 and you can keep what you took and I will take it as a cost of my own lesson for stupidity, but stop any further withdraws.

If I dont hear a response from you in the next few days I will take this further and ask for a full refund.

JustAnswer Subscription/Customer service

I called for an emergency with my dog, they didn’t answer my question for hours (at which time we had already admitted her to their ER). They then charged me for several months following (my fault for not seeing sooner, I know) for a subscription that I declined and was told I would not be signed up for. They lie and scam and then are impossibly difficult to get in touch with. Horrible company, slow service. DO NOT recommend!

JustAnswer Membership charges

I just spoke to someone at [protected] regarding charges of $60 per month for 4 months. I understand this is a membership charge, which prior to today I was unaware of. I did call and asked "1" question. I am outraged that since I did not cancel the membership, which I was unaware of, a credit of $240.00 will not be given.

I was told that the charges to ask a question was $5.00. I did not realize I was signing up for a membership. I only recently caught the charges. No one will apprehend I made a mistake by not paying close attention to what was written. All I heard was $5.00, nothing about a membership. This is very misleading.

justanswer. com informed that ill only need to pay Php50 to get a support for my pc problem but it didnt help at all. when i checkedy account they also took Php3195 so I immediately cancelled my membership that i didnt know of. i contacted them again asking to please give my money back but they refuse to do it. i need help to get my money back. please.

JustAnswer Misleading prices

So, this being a site that offers legal advice, I'm sure it's written in the very fine print somewhere, but it'd be nice if you could get money the honest way and make it known that you're going to charge people an absurd amount (for me, it was $79, but judging from the other reviews I've read, the amount varies-god knows what the reasons are tho because as far as I can tell, no one ever even expects to be charged AT ALL..), rather than the $5 that is advertised. I could've just gone somewhere for a free consultation, but seeing as how I wanted immediate answers, I chose to do the "fully refundable $5 trial" (which was never refunded..) and then -apparently- since my question WAS ANSWERED (I'm fairly certain that's the outcome everyone expects...) I was charged $79 without clearly being made aware, if at all.

So I contacted customer support, who said that I "didn't qualify" for a refund (not sure if anyone ever does.. ) even after, while being nice about it, bringing to their attention that my question was about HOW I JUST LOST MY JOB. So now I'm sitting on both a $79 charge that I never intended to pay, nor was it made clear to me that that was even a possibility.. but I also still have the $5 "fully refundable fee". Thanks Just answer. I think I'll go with Avvo next time, or just get a free consultation with an HONEST individual. Anything but Just answer.

So, the situation: I was in a panic because my cat start coughing in the middle of the night and it wasn`t the first time, that time it was harder, so I was worrying about his health. I needed an immediate answer, and OF COURSE, I lost all my suspicions with my condition. They told me I will pay $5 for the answer and they charged $55 + $2. The "specialist" literally said that I need to visit the vet. I was asking for a refund, but all I've got is I am "not eligible" to get it. They canceled my unwanted membership, so I hope they would not charge me anymore, but I will probably go to the police as soon as I can. Not sure if it will help, but they just played with my moment weakness and charged me too much for it. My horrible week became the worst because of that guys.

Please. please, PLEASE don`t use it, and be careful with all your online stuff.

Upd: they reach out to me with explaining "how the billing system is works". By the way, it wasn't the agent who "contacted me" here. Were talking to me in the way "there was all the information about our charges on the page where you gave your banking info". So evil, so frustraiting. They are not going to solve the problem. Scammers who have to be closed.

JustAnswer I do not know what they do

I do not know who this company is or what they “provide”. I just noticed a $46 fee being taken from my checking account in November 2022. I checked with my credit union and was told how to file a dispute. They also informed me this amount had been on my account since April 2022. Again, to my knowledge, I do not know this company, what they provide nor give permission for this $46 to be taken out of my account each month.

Desired outcome: Stop taking $46 a month from my account and refund would certainly be nice.

JustAnswer Refund of money taken without consent

To whom it may concern

In July 28 2022, I paid for a Just Answer £5 trial consultation which I instantly cancelled because it was unsatisfactory.

However, the company have been taking £38 per month from my account ever since, which I was completely unaware of. Today, I discovered these payments had been leaving my account since last July. (28 July 2022 - £5; 7 August £38; 7 September £38; 7 October £38; 7 November £38; 7 December £38; 7 January £38; 7 February 2023 £38. Total of £316.35.

When my husband went on the Just Answer Website to see what was going on, and to cancel the 'fraudulent' membership, he was directed by the Help Box to make the cancellation with a technician and the required €1 charge would be refunded immediately after the cancellation of the account.

The first question my husband was asked by the technician, was whether he wanted the advisor to 'connect securely' and he said 'no thanks' I just want to cancel the membership myself'. He was using his own laptop computer to do this for me. (see photo below). I then had an immediate charge of £40.35 for technical help which we didn't ask for or receive (see same photo below). Total now £356.70.

After the account was cancelled for me (that I didn't even know I had), my husband received 3 emails from Just Answer (see 4 images below). The first at 15.34 from the technician Abhishek Gupta 2 saying this was paid help, the 2nd at 15.37 from Just Answer stating that he had been charged €1 join fee and 45€ membership fee with automatic renewal every month. The 3rd email from Just Answer was from Jeff Cavellini, Vice President of Customer Care informing of successful cancellation (but didn't say to whose account - mine or his newly set-up without permission). Obviously, he has not subsequently clicked on any of these links.

At no time did my husband give his personal details to anyone from this company so the email address must have been illegally viewed through the unauthorised connection to his computer).

As yet, no money has left his account because, I assume, they have not managed to obtain his financial details from the illegal connection.

I would like a full refund of the money taken unsuspectingly by this company - £351.70 (minus the £5 trial fee).

I answered your ad because you said you will only charge $5.00 and money-back guarantee Scott tried to help but it did no t work he gave me the wrong flow chart for fixing the garage door to my surprise the next morning I was charged not $5.00 but $40 I called customer service and they ignored my request very poor I think this is a scam stay away never again

I cancelled my membership after paying $5. I had asked a question and got pretty much no help. No solution. I opened my bank account only to find 2 charges of $34. I was never emailed, texted any kind of confirmation of the payments so was unaware I was still being charged. So I went to their website to request a refund. I got on a chat where the man told me I posted a question 2 months prior (which I paid $5). Only 2 secs after he messaged that he wasn’t receiving any response. So immediately I responded knowing he was seeing it. He ended the conversation either ways. So I got on chat again. The man told me to call a number for a supervisor. I called the number and the woman named Erica told me there was No supervisor. She kept robotically repeating herself that I posted a question 2 months prior. I explained that I canceled and that I haven’t used their app nor got any notifications of payments. She then told me she’d have a supervisor call back in 15-30 mins. I got the call back, the “supervisor” did the same robotic repetition and I only had very major valid good points. He had nothing to help the case of not refunding and hung up on me. I called again, I asked for corporates number and the girl gave me it. I called the number and the same Erica from the first call answered. This company is a major scam and it’s baffling on the unprofessionalism and treatment to us victims of fraud. They do not help with any questions and only tell you what you can Google.

Desired outcome: I would like some kind of closing to this “business” because as I have researched, it didn’t take me long to find countless similar complaints from others. This company needs to be stopped from scamming any more people.

It stated it was a $2 fee to ask. Question nothing about being charged extra… as I come to find out I had been charged $66. Ironically I rec’d an initial response asking me for more info.. but never got anything after that. I did cancel my membership so that I wouldn’t be charged further. However I would except to at least get an answer. Not satisfied overall at this time.

Desired outcome: Would prefer a refund as all I did was provide my own info and question. I didn’t actually get any help or response. So The $2 sure but the $66 is not acceptable.

I’m just putting this up because you need to make it way morn clear. I use Cash App for this exact reason. I put $5 on for your “fully refundable fee”…. Be honest and be honest for goodness’s sake…. You offer legal advice. And you try and charge $69.00. Even if you plan to refund it - it’s still BS. It probably takes 2 weeks to get it back.

I wanted to ask a professional a medical question... It said it cost 1 euro and would be refunded. Out of a sudden 50 euros are gone from my bank account without anyone caring in customer service or support. This happened on the 2nd of February. 20:49. Paypla account. I already filed a complaint in Paypal. If they won't act I am ready to include lawyers.

I went on Just Answer to ask a question regarding a doll I have. I read the info and it stated that I would be charged $5 to ask the question and then after 7 days I would be charged $28. The site stated that I would receive an email prior to the end of the trial to either continue with the membership or to cancel it. Less than 7 days, with no notice or anything I am charged $28 to my account. When I called they said I agreed to the charge and that it is nonrefundable. That is not what I agreed to! I agreed to the trial not a monthly membership. This is the biggest scam and I am absolutely appalled that this business is allowed to continue these practices. Buyer Beware!
