CVS review: Baboo bamboo paper towels

The baboo bamboo paper towels were on sale at CVS Pharmacy BUY 1 GET 2 FREE 6 pack of paper towels.

I bought the 1 on May 4, 2023 and was told I could get a raincheck for the 2 because there were no more on the shelf. I was told to come back the next day, as they were awaiting a shipment. The next day I returned and they hadn't come in. I waited 2 more days and went back and they still hadn't come in. I returned on the following day and was then told to check at other stores and have them call in order to get the raincheck honored. I did, no one had them. The 4th time I visited the store, I was told the truck comes in only on Friday so try again on Saturday, this will give them time to unload.

I returned on Saturday May 13th, (5th visit) and the towels still haven't come in. I was told by an Associate that they probably weren't going to be getting anymore of that item. So, I said how will I be compensated for this. He told me I WOULD NOT be compensated and if I returned the 1 that I purchased, I could get a refund for $9.99 only. The other two were offered for "free" so I wasn't entitled to a refund or a comparable item to replace the two I didn't get. This is 9 days later. I said, I feel this is bait and switch! You cannot promise me 1 thing at time of purchase and not deliver. Never mind that I used my gas to make 5 trips to this store on made-up stories by 3 different Associates. When I called, I was told that they had them. This was a lie! When I went in I was told to come back the next day, that was a lie! I was told to come back on Saturday they should be on the truck on Friday, that was a lie.

To say the least, I am angry. I shop frequently at CVS I am also a carepass member. So, I have used my carepass and told there will be no refund of the carepass rewards.
