Walmart selling books to children with horrible content

I went to your store today. I notice that in the back to school section you were selling Harry Potter books. I honestly thought a family friend store would not be selling these books. These books consist of satanic rituals and is written by a witch. These books have been banned by many churches and religious schools and libraries.

Please ban Harry Potter from your stores or I will no longer be shopping there.

I know it is not real, even movies that we see on television are not real. Some protray violence and sexuality. Does that mean we should let our children watch them. No. We have to deter our children from these things.

Your pen-name is 'stop the madness', yet you have the sheer cheek to insult Walmart, one of the most famous chains in the USA, and Harry Potter. WHICH IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MEDIA FRANCHISE OF ALL FREAKING TIME! For pity's sake, get your act together, no one small minded, bigoted, prejudging idiot should be allowed to waste space on the web, complaining about the best literature since J.R.R. Tolkien. Harry Potter not once in 7 books and 8 films, promotes any type of Dark Magic, Satanic rituals or divine incantational magic. It is set out as pure and simple magic, bound by the Laws of Physics and perfectly provable by a few short thought experiments. If you are going to insult, slag-off, discriminate or attack anything ever again, please make sure you have your fricking facts right.

Trä

P.S.

NEVER CALL OUR J.K. A WITCH OR EVEN NON-CHRISTIAN AGAIN OR I SWEAR I COULD BRING HALF THE BLOODY INTERNET DOWN ON YOUR PATHETIC HEAD! I AM PART OF THE HARRY POTTER FANDOM, I AM A FOUNDING MEMBER OF THE SHADOW PROCLAMATION GROUP, I AM EVEN PART OF ANONYMOUS AND I REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE SAID THAT, BUT WHO GIVES A ### ANYWAY!

Wal-mart is a money friendly store, they don't care about religion or race. The only color they care about is green. Please, Harry Potter written by a witch? That's just ignorant. Please go out and educate yourself a bit or if nothing else at least give your children the benefit of reading other types of fiction, not just the bible.

Walmart job interview

A few months ago I went for a job interview at this walmart. I was interviewed by more than one person. This last woman told me that she was not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling from me.
I was there to get a job not kiss her on the lips for cripes sake! I have seen the employees at this store, and they are not friendly at all. I feel like I was unjustly treated. I really needed a job and still do. Maybe its because I am 60 yrs old or maybe she didn"t like me but it was just unfair to be treated like that.

Walmart weedeater tap and go wlt24

I bought a weedeater at walmart in june 09, the so called salesman said they carried the parts. According to my manual they are supposed to carry all parts. I couldnt get new spools, and the weedeater wont charge only used it a month and a half, in a small area, once aweek by an old lady. So walmart should be giving refunds or replace the weed eater, other wise they are not standing behind their merchanise, and dont care about their coustmer. This has got to stop, we cant afford this kind of buying,. I craiter

If you have the receipt for the weedeater, Walmart wil probabably refund your money. The return policy on that item I believe is 90 days, unless it is posted somewhere. I have seen a pair of rose clippers (VERY BIG ONES) returned after the season and it was still within the return date and a refund was given. I have also seen used garbage cans returned.

Walmart won't fix under warranty

Bought a GPS with an ext warranty at Walmart and with less than 2 months left on the extended warranty it stopped working. First only half the screen was visible then the next day the entire screen was black with a redline at the bottom.

Mailed to company and it was returned "LED screen broken" unrepairable" "return to customer unrepaired".

I called and they said it had been dropped. It HAD NOT and told them that it hadn't been dropped and there was no crack on the screen. They said the crack was internal. How convenient. They find something wrong with an item that only they can see. Could it be they decided with only 2 months left 'why bother'? Sick of Walmart. Sam Walton would turn over in his grave with their deplorable customer service lately.

Now it's my word against theirs and since they can fix it or not - it won't be fixed. They received ext warranty $ with NO service.

I will never buy anything electronic at Walmart again! Getting close to not shopping there at all. Less of a headache shopping at other stores, not worth the small savings shopping at walmart anymore.

Walmart tomato blight

Walmart, Lowe's, and Home Depo can not be bothered to check the quality of the cheap plants they offer. As a result tomato blight has taken over the North East US. I personally lost more than $50.00 of high quality Burpee plants that had been thriving. And of course because I knew better than to buy from these retailers I am out the money, the hard work, and the joy that growing your own food provides. When you're paying $3.00 apiece for gassed, flavorless, mealy, slave labor harvested tomatoes you know who to thank.

I used to work in the garden dept at Walmart and I did reject and send away two shipments of bug infested plants. I was new to the job and wanted to do a good job. I was talked to by managment and was told to just recieve the shipment no matter how bad the plants were. You get what you pay for. I shop at Walmart as a last resort when I can not find the item any other store. In our town Walmart got a 10 year subsidy to pay no property taxes. Corporate thugs who are willing to take any subsidy that they can get for more profits. Capitalism at its best. Boooyahhhhhhhhhhhh. Corporate welfare just gotta love it.

I hardly think the blight is due to these stores. Tomato blights strike sometimes every 3rd year, regardless of where the plants or seeds come from. That's about the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time. A lot of time blight is caused by too wet weather or too cool weather, or both, among other things.

Even perfectly healthy plants can develop blight when conditions are right.

Walmart return of merchandise

I bought a dirt devil vacuum at local WalMart. It did not work so I took it back 2 weeks later, after trying to use it twice. I did not have the receipt, but had my credit card transaction statement. WalMart told me that Dirt Devils policy is returns only with a receipt and that I could contact them. I did and was told that they could only refund my money if I bought it direct through them! The machine does not work! Now I am stuck with a $90 vacuum cleaner that doesnt work AND an extra filter that I bought to go with it! WHAT A TOTAL RIP-OFF!

I am at Walmart with receipt and vacuum I’m returning to put back on my credit card the vacuum was too heavy for me to handle. Walmart clerk told me it’s been returned. This is in correct, I never bought that type of vacuum and after purchasing it I am just returning it today. I offered to show my credit card statement and I have my receipt that matches it. I have never heard of this. This is so wrong. Do I get an attorney. What to do in a very wrong to do this. Vacuum is in the box not used. I have receipts.

The large box stores are generally pretty good about returns - especially with some form of proof: transaction statement, receipt, etc. Remember that you are WalMarts customer first and not the vendors (such as Dirt Devil) and that your position with store management should be one of politeness but very firm in your resolve. If nothing else works use this. "I am m sorry for any inconvenience I am causing you but I am not leaving the customer service area until you have taken care of the matter to my satisfaction." Stand your ground and remember you are on camera. They do not want to get security or local law enforcement involved. Step up to the store manager who is on duty. Do not let them tell you the manager is out. WalMarts store policies require a manager on the premises.

Our Dirt Devil just died. Tried to vacuum the living room and the power just went off. Outlet works fine. We've only had it for a few months. My mother warned me not to buy one but I didn't listen. It really never worked very well anyway. We always had to go over the same area 3-4 times to get it to pick up.

My only experience with Dirt Devil support was horrible. We were trying to find bags for a hand held and they replied with the wrong part and don't even stock the bags for this anymore. Won't buy from them again. We been burned by Dirt Devil and don't plan on allowing them to do it again.

Purchased a dirt devil and a bissell from wal-mart -one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs. Each had similar features and intra-appliances. However the dirt devil simply would't work. You'd be vaccuuming and notice the power cord (that sucks the dirt) had dislodged from the vaccuum base. You'd put it back in place and the same thing would happen again. The uphostery brush would't even run.
Went to return it to Wal-Mart and they said to contact dirt devil at their web-site.

-Wrote an email to dirt devil on their web site explaining my situation and their web-site destroyed the message! On their website they even say they will NOT take a store-bought vaccuum, only a vaccum purchased from their website. Oh, and if you're still interested in purchasing a devil from their site, you STILL have to pay to ship it to them in the event you get a piece of junk like I did!
My complaint isn't with Wal-mart, other than the fact that they should drop dirt devil from their inventory until dirt devil cleans up their horrible non-existant customer relations.

Now I'm stuck with a piece of junk that's less than a year old.

Walmart terrible experience

She dragged my brand new clothes across the filthy conveyor belt, leaving skid marks even i asked her to pull them from the little carry basket. She says "Company policy" and continues to dirty up the new summer clothes. #2 Loose a validation ticket at Long Beach Wal*Mart and pay $8.00 even if you have a recipt showing your recent purchase. Even if you shop there all the time. If you don't have $8.00 in CASH You get to hold up traffic and let the parking attendant write down all your personal data, so you can get a check or money order via snail mail with 42 cent postage to the City of Long Beach. I'm done with Walmart. I'm getting a COSTCO card and shopping in Signal Hill!

Walmart coupon offers and regulations

I am very upset with the sales people at this walmart studio. My neighbor and I went to the studio together since I don't drive...her name is Hilda Morgan (not her real name ), she had her daughters pictures done and I had my grandson's taken, both children were riding in the same shopping cart and because we went there together only one of us could use a coupon. This is just wrong she should receive some of her money back or a complimentary portrait package because of the economy being what it is and due to me not being able to drive we often go places together and this is just NOT fair ...I could understand if we were related (1 coupon per family or something like that) but that does not even apply to this situation. If I went there on public transportation (bus )would I NOT be able to use a coupon because someone else on the bus did ? If you do not make this right I will be going to a portrait studio other than Walmart from now on and I have been using Walmart studio now for almost 13 years.

Walmart dissatisfied customer

First of all, I am in a wheel chair, my wife has to use the little electric scooters most all the time. Going in any of these stores is nothing more than a joke to begin with. All the supposed handy cap parking, yeah, right! I would swear to this. I have never seen more than maybe 1 out of 50 people that were some what handy capped, the rest, nothing but lazy.

That starts the day off good. So while in the store today, 8/15/07 Trying to get help was impossible, no sales people any where and this is a Saturday at around 6pm. You would have thought for sure they would have had help today.

Then on top of that, I could not reach most of the items I needed, so I had to wind up going with out, because of the pain I did not feel up to going back and forth to take that change some one just may be there. Not worth it for me.

Now for the main complaint for today. Ever since they turned this store into a so called super store, with some 30 registers, plus or minus, the store has seldom ever opened more than 10 that I have ever seen. And believe me, we spend a lot of time in that store, not to mention way to much money.

However, when we started to go through the check out there were a total of 3 register's opened and at least 8 people in each lane and adding more by the minute. So needless to say it took some time just to get through the lane to pay for all that stuff. They opened ONE lane during the whole time we were there. Big deal, when it takes them forever as it was.

And to make matters worse. My wife, as I said was using one of those electric carts and we were headed out to our van, (as we have done for the past umpteen years now), but this new guy stops us and says you cannot take that out the door. So we explained, or tried to that is, but he would have no part of it. So he made my wife take all those items out and some of them were awful heavy, (dog food, plus other such items as well). I cannot do anything to help so she has to do all that herself as it is. Our son is 3 and not much on the heavy lifting as of yet. So needless to say, I was not happy with walmart's check out, the personal were extremely rude today as well, then the guy at the door was the worst of all. I mean down right hateful. I am just sorry now that I did not get his name. I wish I would have gotten more than one name had I known they would be this bad today.

I am now to the point, after spending as much money as we do in that store, to just say heck with them and go back to Kmart, which I swore I would not do many years ago for similar reasons. So what is a person to do, we spend an average of at least 400.00 a month in that store, which is nothing to such a big company as Walmart. But to get treated like that, well there is just no reason for it. Especially when a store such as walmart advertises all this great customer services you will get when you walk into there store's. Sure, if you are from some country that does not speak english maybe, then it would not matter anyhow.

So needless to say, neither my wife or myself is very happy with this so called Super Walmart Store here in Flint, Michigan on Corunna Road.

One very dissatisfied customer now, providing I decide to stay a customer with them that is.

Thank you for nothing Walmart.

PS. Sorry I made this so long, but I wanted to get the whole story in here right. I do not want to make a mistake on what happened, so hang in there with me. Thank you.

As for motorized carts, there are only so many in a store and if other people are using them, what do you expect employees to do? Take one away from another customer and give it to you? I'm sure that would go over well. I agree, if you need one that badly, you should try to get your own.

As for not being able to carry your groceries to your car...all you usually have to do, at the Walmart in Winona, MN anyway, is tell the cashier you need assistance and they will call for an associate to come help you take your groceries out and put them in your car for you.

You may have to wait a few more minutes for them to find someone who is free to help you, but they will get you the help.

What would you have liked them to do, Dissatisfied? A "thorough investigation" would have discovered that yes, you were misinformed on the phone. What conclusions would have met your expectations?
Also, if you are in such desperate need of a motorized cart, why don't you have your own? Stores provide them as a courtesy and if there are already several customers in the store using them, then there aren't going to be any left.

You are credited with transforming the customer experience through faster service, a friendlier shopping environment and cleaner stores. You’ve led the team that created and launched Walmart’s $4 prescription drug program. In addition, you have a strong management team that is focused, on workforce development, education/training and delivering Walmart’s mission of saving people, in many communities, money to help them, live better, each and every day.

I am a dissatisfied disabled, handicapped, single parent, with 3 small children., who has limited income and vision difficulties. I believe I am a victim of being misrepresented by Walmart‘s Supercenter Store #1580 Pharmacy. I suspect fraudulent activity regarding my prescription account. I believe my account was handled improperly and unprofessionally, by Walmart, on 3/22/11.

I felt like my issue was unresolved. I was lied to, misrepresented, disappointed with the employees lack of knowledge, lack of empathy, unprofessional appearance, lack of handicapped accessible carts for customers.

Recently, on 3/22/11, around 10:00am, I called Walmart Supercenter Store #1580 and spoke to a pharmacy technician, who never identified herself, having no call courtesy, kept putting me on hold, without asking me, who deliberately, advised me, over the telephone, of my prescriptions $0 copay. So I advised the technician, to have my prescriptions ready for pickup, by 4:00pm, on 3/22/11.

Upon arrival, at 4:56pm, on 3/22/11, at Walmart Supercenter Store #1580, I became frustrated, because I was unable, to locate, at both entrances, a motorized handicapped cart, for me to sit in, because I normally use a walker, being unable to stand, longer than 5 minutes. So I had to, take a risk and use a regular cart, just to go, to the pharmacy.

The pharmacy cashier advised me, that all of my prescriptions were not ready. I then asked the pharmacy cashier, how long do I have to wait for my prescriptions? The pharmacy cashier advised that I would have to wait a few minutes. I then asked the pharmacy cashier, how many minutes is a few minutes, because my prescriptions should have already been ready, along time ago. The pharmacy cashier advised that she didn’t know because she just rings up the prescriptions. So, I advised the pharmacy cashier to ask the pharmacist, how many minutes equals a few minutes? The pharmacy cashier then advised me, that I had to wait ten minutes, for my prescriptions. After 15 minutes, the cashier, advised that my prescriptions were ready and the amount was $60+. So I became upset, feeling misrepresented and lied to, so I questioned the amount, with the pharmacy cashier, who barely knew how to read the computer screen, because the price was drastically different, from what was told to me, over the telephone, this morning.

That‘s when Karen, the pharmacist, the only employee, who had a name tag on, started yelling across her computer monitor, never moving an inch, advised that the price was correct, on the receipt and she was sorry if I was misinformed, but that price was correct. So, I was still standing their, upset, waiting for someone, who cared, to take the lead and resolve my issue, of being lied to, over the telephone. I asked Karen, what was she going to do about my issue. She shrugged her shoulders and apologized without any empathy, very unprofessional. I asked Karen how long does it take to get a prescription ready? She advised it just depends and went back to typing on the computer, for another customer. Karen was unprofessional, not knowledgeable, rude and had a non caring attitude.

Then Eudon, one of the assistant managers, approached us, not saying a word. Just standing there looking, at the walls. Where was Walmart’s leadership?

I felt like my issue was unresolved and was never advised that my issue would be investigated or anything. I was lied to, misrepresented, disappointed with the employees lack of empathy, leadership, knowledge, courtesy, unprofessional appearance, lack of handicapped accessible carts, for customers. I suspect fraudulent activity regarding my prescription account, due to the pharmacy technician, never asking security information, up front. I believe the pharmacy technician, just read my name, off the caller id, on the telephone.

I have, over 16 years, of experience, in customer service. I was a Customer Satisfaction Manager, for a call center, of over 400 employees, with 15 supervisors, 3 managers, under my direction. I worked, for that company, for 5 1/2 years, never missing a day, of work. I've helped/lead, other customer service representative, telephoning customers, ensuring that, all of their issues, were resolved. I've even held a position, as a certified master trainer, training 30 adults, for 6 weeks, at a time, teaching them, about the company, products, call courtesies, sales, how to deal with dissatisfied customers and so forth. I'm just, physically ill, right now. I've always enjoyed helping people and always displayed leadership qualities.

As I mentioned before, my overall customer experience was dissatisfying, ignored and was only given unprofessional excuses. Why didn't I get a thorough investigation? Why didn’t my issue get resolved? Is it because, I am an dissatisfied, disabled, handicapped customer? I believe my issue, should be resolved, with a thorough investigation, in a timely manner, without excuses, with empathy from corporate.

Perhaps next time you can have a friend or family member accompany you on your shopping trips. Obviously, if you can't get to the items on the shelf no one is going to "shop along" with you in the store. They all have certain things to get done in a days time as well. I am curious as to why your wife is riding the electric cart? If you both are that disabled(and apparently she isn't because she had to get off her scooter to carry it all) why would you even go without someone to help you get to items you cannot reach? Because if you did, then you wouldn't have been able to post this...

@lilvixen69... wow you have kids... the tax credit isn't enough now you demand your own parking spot... being upset about not enough disabled parking spots is a legitimate complaint... being upset about not enough parent/ child parking spaces is ridiculous. There is no law stating that other people cannot park in those spaces, unlike the laws for disability spots. So suck it up and stop being lazy. Also, consider dressing your children for the weather, or leave them at home with someone responsible.

It sucks when they don't open registers. You would think they had four-year olds running the store for all the intelligence they use. I agree with you on the handicapped parking, too. It's the same with the Parent/Child parking spots. I have two small children and don't like having to hike them through the cold and snow for three kilometers while some bozo parked in one of those spots just because they are lazy. I know it's not the same as the handicap parking spots but it's annoying when ignorant people don't pay attention!

Yesterday July 28, 2009 I went to this Wal-Mart in Edinburg, TX to change car battery. I arrived there on 8:40 AM and I shopped over there. I went back to the automobile part to ask to finish changing battery on 9:35 AM, they still was working. I continued shopping until 10:00 AM. I asked again, but they want me to come back 10 to 15 minutes. I went there...

Walmart bad customer service

My mother likes to shop. She likes to shop way too much and upon helping her clean her house recently I found eleven DVD's from Walmart (still in their original wrapping WITH the walmart stickers on them) that she had purchased and either had duplicates of or didn't really want. I tried to return the DVD's to Walmart. I didn't have a reciept and I have no idea if the items were purchased within the last 90 days or not so I can totally respect them not accepting the return. It was the way I was treated that really upset me. When I first went up to the customer service counter to make my return. The woman behind the counter looked at me and then with out speaking to me turned around and got on the phone to the electronics department and "wispered" in to the reciever to have someone come up and look at the DVD's to see if they were stolen! The lady from electronics arrived and "inspected" each DVD. You would have thought she was looking for a bomb, she might as well have got out her magnifying glass. Then the lady from electronics leaves and the women behind the counter says that they have to call over a manager. The manager arrives and tells me that they can't accept the return becuase I have no reciept and the items are too old, they don't carry them anymore. Yea Right! So I had to stand around and wait 15 min while the DVD's were inspected and I was being accused of stealing them, but oh, NOW the DVD's are too old and the store dosen't carry them anymore so I cant return them!

Walmart refund

I purchased a visa walmart card recently but i haven't activated it or even used it. Rather i did some research and found out this card sucks *** ! i was wondering since i pressed like this button that sent me to a refund thing, would i still get charged that monthly fee even if it was not activated as well as having no information of me? So like technically i just bought the card and let's say it's still got that glue stuck to it. would i still be charged?

I used to work for WalMart as a manager. If you never activated the card, they will not charge you a fee. BUT the store that you purchased the card from technically cannot give you the refund, only the Green Dot Company( this is the store policy). The plus side is that if you go to the WalMart you purchased the card from and you complain to the top manager and explain that you thought it was a GIFTCARD instead of aPREPAID VISA CARD, and you throw a major fit, and tell them you spend a lot of money in their store and you demand a in-store refund. They most likely will give you the refund there just to get rid of you. Believe me, I had to do it ALOT!

Walmart cd

I had purchased a CD at Walmart Dept. on [protected]. It was a bad CD. I took the CD back to Walmart customers service [protected]. There was one customer in front of me. I had to wait over 30 min.The customer service lady told me to go back to electronics & see if they have another one. I told her that when I purchased it on 7-15, that was the only one I saw. To please the service lady, I went back to check. Their was not anymore like the one I had. I found another one that I liked, it was higher in price. So I returned to customer service, by now they were 5 customers in line. I waited until she finished with customer she was helping. I stepped up & handed the lady the CD that I picked out. Then 2 customers yelled out that I broke in line. I proceeded to tell them I had already waited my time in line. They told me that I had to return to the back of the line. I said I don't think so. Then the customer service told me that if they didn't have the same CD that I purchased. Then they would have to give me a voucher, when it came in I would have to return & pick it up. I told to her to return my money. She said she couldn't do that. It was against the Walmart's policy. She should have told me that up front. She saw how up set I was. She let me pay the difference in the prices. It took me over 1hr. 30min. to exchange a single CD. I have tried to call the manger on 7-21-09, held the ph. over 10 min. No manager. Called again on 7-22-09, he was doing a tour. They took my name & ph. no. Still no return. This was one of the most horrifying exeriences I've had at retail store. It has been yrs since I have returned anything. I didn't know things were this bad. Thanks for reading my complaint

Yes I agree WalMart does suck..I used to be a Manager. Although there is no excuse for you waiting that long to change a cd, the associate was correct in telling you she couldnt exchange the cd for a different one. Its not just a WalMart policy, it's actually a Federal Copyright Policy. Also some WalMarts are really cracking down on their refund policy due to the amount of theft. Even though you cant really do anything once you open a cd, dvd, computer game etc, you can save yourself a little headache and try to hang on to the receipts. Hope this helps!

Walmart defamation

7/21/2009 9:56:32 PM

To Whom It May Concern:

We got to Wal-Mart store at 27th St store # 2828, and my daughter Zuleiry Robles bought some piercings at the jewelry department and opened it at the store, then she gave me one and I put it on my pocket.
In our way out of the store at 7:44 pm we were stopped by 3 security in front of everyone embarrassing us and taken to a security room, they told us to sit down and give them the merchandise that we didn’t pay for and we tell them what he was talking about that the only merchandise we had it was the piercings and the receipts were there with them. They told us “you know what we are talking about”. And they didn’t stop there they search my daughter and her purse they didn’t find nothing. Then I told them you better find something to excuse the embarrassment you put us thru or else I will suit you. Also they took my daughter’s boyfriend Eduardo Molina to pressure him to say that my daughter had steal something from the store, and that he needed to tell the truth and he told him that the truth is she didn’t take nothing.
After about one hour 8:20 pm they apologized to us because we were right and we didn’t steal anything. I told the I didn’t accept apologies and I wanted to talk to a manager or someone for defamation. The assistant manager named Nathan refused to give me his last name and the name of the security guards.
He was rude towards me and him also refuse to give me any writing report of the incident, he told me to call 1-800-walmart which I did right away and talk to William, I put a complaint at 8:22 pm 7/21/09. Also went to the police station number 6 and put a complaint about it. Accusing someone of stealing without proof is a crime, defamation and also we felt discriminated by them.

Walmart stupid workers

I wanted to check the price of a very large princess castle. The box was about 4 feet high. I saw 2 workers making themselves look busy and asked if they could check the price on the toy for me. They told me to use the price checker machine across the hall in the pet aisle. I dragged the box to the price checker and found that it wasn't working. I dragged the box back and told the workers about the default and asked them again to check the price for me. They told me to just take it down to the check out aisles and then the 2 workers went off. I saw another worker in the pet aisle across from me and asked him to check the price for me. As he was helping me one of the 2 original workers reappeared. The helping guy lectured the idiot worker because idiot worker didn't even have a price checker on him.

Then after I paid for this massive castle. I had it in a shopping cart and was clearly leaving the express aisles. This "wal-mart greeter" stopped me before the doors and wanted proof of purchase. HOw stupid can you be.

COSTCO has it in their club agreement that when you shop at their store, you agree to ticket checking.

Wal-Mart is not a club, like Sam's. I will do anything to avoid the ticket checker.

Since Wal-Mart does not ticket check everybody, lots of people like me, just sail by, Wal-Mart has a discrimination case waiting to happen here.

I'm honest, but no one else cheap around here does that, like Big Lots, etc.

No one seems to cmplain about their purchases being checked at Costco. They expect it. I don't see the big deal. It took all of, what, 2-3 seconds? I always leave my receipt out until I leave the store, just in case. It is NOT a personal attack against you, for crying out loud!

While the associates were rather rude, I wouldn't be complaining about the door greeter. They seem to be the only one doing what they're being paid to do. It's a rather standard policy that anything not in a bag needs to be checked against a receipt. Since you'd just checked out, it shouldn't have been a problem for you.

Walmart thieves

Well, I guess it was my last trip to walmart, and the reason for it is that I never come out of that store happy, someone manages to tick me off. That friendly welcome has been gone and now they even check your back too, like you are a theif! Never mind the cashiers, as they are mad at you for not giving them, their retirement packages! Inside the store, either you can not find anyone to help you and if you find one person, then the answer is over there/this must be the last one, since it is not on the shelf!

Today I asked the cashier, if I need to bring the dirt package here to pay or I can pay for it and then go get it? Well it it was the most stupidest question for her, as she wanted to know what kind of dirt it is, as if it is the sand or the garden soil? As she knew there were so many different kind of dirt for the price of $1.37. After telling her never mind, she just kept repeating. I was mad they way she kept telling me, and as I was leaving, she tells other cashier, that she just said have a nice day. I should talk about the other cashier that he is sitting on the side, and we were in line! I really did not have time to go back and see the manager for their rude behavior. Anyhow life goes on with or without walmart.

Walmart overcharged

It never fails...almost every time I leave Walmart Store, I tell myself how much I Hate Walmart. People shop there, because they think they have a lower price...but when you check out, it NEVER fails that one or two items are more than the listed price. So, that's one way to get rich...rip off the customers. It might only be 0.50 per item, but when you count all the customers on a daily base, it really adds up. I AM FEED UP with Walmart! This does not happen when I shop at Kroger Store.

Unfortunately, this happens to me every single time I shop at Walmart. There will be several items which ring up at a higher price than what is on the shelf label (and yes, I verify the label with the product before I take it). I normally use the self-checkout register so that I can monitor the prices more easily. I then have to get the SCO Cashier to come over and make the correction.

One time, I had a product that was $1.97; however, it rang up at $1.98. I had 3 of these items. I had to get the SCO Cashier to correct the price - I even showed her the sign with the price, as it was on an end-cap clearly visible from where we were located. She laughed and told me "that's only 1¢"! I told her "Yes, but that's 3 items so it's 3¢, and that's MY 3¢, not Walmart's." (Yes, 3¢ is not much, but when everyone purchasing this is charge the same extra 1¢, then that takes more money out of our pockets and puts it into Walmart's pocket.) If this was the only time this happened, then I would not have worried about it; but this happens all of the time.

Sometimes I have also had them doubt my claim of the price. I then request they get a Price Check - and after waiting a bit, they ultimately come back with the price I told them, and I get the items for that price. (However, I did have one time where they came back with a different price. I did NOT buy the item, because I knew the price was marked for what I told them. After paying for my other items, I went back to the shelf and found the sign had been changed; the associate in the dept knew what I was looking for and told me that she requested the sign be changed!)

I also have had instances where the Cashier refused to get a Price Check verification; they just tell me "that's the price it is on the register, so I can't do anything about it." In those cases, I make them VOID the item and I do NOT BUY IT. This results in lost Sales for Walmart!

I think if you were checking the prices on the selves before you just picked them up and threw them in the cart that you would see you're not getting ripped off. Sometimes the items are in the wrong spot and sometimes the associates in that department have yet to take down a sale sticker after the sale is up. Anytime I shop I always make sure that the item I'm wanting matches the little tag underneath it on the shelf. When you get to the check out and you see an item is not what you thought it was you can get a price check. If the store is a little busy expect it to take a couple of minutes, but if it were really that big of a deal to you I think you would be patient enough to wait. Wal-mart certainly can't please everybody.

I am curious as to why you don't make them wait( and yes you can) until you have everything up on the checkout before they start. Then you can watch as they scan things through, (it will show u right on the credit card machine) If something is more than advertised for just call their attention to it. If you don't have time for this, to actually make them wait a minute and then watch the credit card machine as they scan well then pay your .50 and be done with it.

My children purchased a walmart debit card for me for my birthday. They thought they were getting a visa card thru Walmart. I had to give out so much personal information to activate the debit card. It felt as though I was applying for a credit card. This card was nothing like it was suppose to be. I tried to exchange the card when I found out how hard it was to activate. I wanted to cancel the card after I made 1 purchase which left a little amount of money on the card. I spent hours on the phone using all the phone numbers that were on the card and the infor sheet and was able to get just the automated system. I finally got a hold of the lost and stolen department. The representative was mean and nasty when she found out that I had used her to get to a person to cancel the card. She did transfer me and I was able to cancel the card, I think. The phone number to call is [protected] then go to lost and stolen. They will then transfer you. Good Luck! If you have not purchased one, I would not advise it. The fees are outrageous.

After being ripped off on line at prior years taxes. I called my walmart visa card to stop the payment. I was told they could do anything till the payment posted. I asked after the payment is posted they have there money, how do I get my money back. I was told that I file a letter and they would take care of it. After it posted I called back and was told its between me and merchant. There just a debt card company not like a real credit card company. I say not like a real debt card company either If I call my bank and tell them I've been ripped off don't pay that bill they won't. WALMART CARD HOLDER BEWARE If there is anyone at walmart that can explain this to me my e-mail is baddog4cats@hotmail.com. I tryed getting an answer over the phone at your customer service hotline. But after a few calls I could not find anyone there that spoke english well enough to talk too. What is that they speake there spanindnaenglish?

I like you, mbbc. Finally someone on here that knows something about Walmart MoneyCards.
MoneyCards are long-term accounts, not gifts. You can't even activate one if you are underage.
Want a giftcard? Buy Walmart in-store credit. Want a gift card you can use elsewhere? Buy a Walmart Visa GIFTcard.

Your complaining because your children bought you the wrong thing, and you couldn't figure out how to take care of the issue.

you must not know how to read or follow directions. The wal-mart debit card has helped alot of people out that dont wont a credit card. The appilication process is quite simple and it works just like a credit card that you put money on. And those outrageous fees of $3.00 's to load money on to your card must have really hit you hard. They have a maintance fee every month of $2.95 just like a credit card only those fees are MUCH HIGHER! But the problem is its a debit card and not a credit card so it takes your money right then instead of at the end of the money when you make your credit card payments You could have went to a atm and got the rest of your money off the card. You just want ot fuss about something.

I agree with the complaint on this. My sister does not have good enough credit to get an account at a bank. She needs to pay her bills online. Therefore, she bought a walmart money card. Someone got her number and used her card to buy something on Craig's list for $350.00. Unfortunately, she is a single parent and only gets paid once a month. Imagine how many groceries her children will do without this month. Walmart money card did not care. She caught the transaction the same day that someone did it and they still would not reverse the charges. What kind of company does business this way? I say to all DO NOT USE WALMART MONEY CARD! They are a rip off.

Please, don't take offense - I am just curious. Why would you even use a wal-mart money card? It is ten times safer (not to mention cheaper) to use a real bank account with a real debit card backed up safely by legit Visa or Mastercard logos. Or better yet, an actual credit card, which is even safer to use than debit - because if someone gets that card number and starts spending, it's not coming out of your hard earned money, and it can be turned over as fraud much easier. Don't fall for wal-mart finance products, get a real bank account with a large or local banking firm (not bank of america) and feel much safer about your money.
